[Yuki D'Avranches]

Yuki was heading to the moon temple that day. She still had Hawkeye on vacation after he killed many innocent people in the riot that had happened in the slums she wasn't happy that he did that and haven't spoken to him in person since it had happened for a few reasons she was trying to distance herself from him and the second was because she been in between school and work. Today was one of her free days and she was going to use it to visit an old friend. Dressed in a simple baby pink dress with a sweetheart neckline, the hem of the sleeves that little design of vines in white threading, she paired with her light pink stockings and black low heels. After some time she decided to have her handmaiden help her curl her hair making it wavy as it rest against her back, with a simple rose hairclip. 

Walking into the temple she looked around wondering if Gabriel was there today. Deciding to ask one of the priest they informed her that he was currently in the room devoted to Ai thanking the priest she made her way to the room. Looking around she thought how different this room was compared to the one for Zeapon, it was almost lighter and she could feel the love in the air. Her eyes quickly landed on Gabriel in his priestly robes it was nice to see an old friend. Closing the short distance between the two of them she smiled at him. “Good Morning Gabriel.” Her voice soft as she waited for a response from him.

“I heard about your great victory in the arena. I am upset I couldn't be there to watch it but I wanted to congratulate you and possible offer you a job."

Gabriel was in the temple today staying the the room of Ai for now he would begin praying and making sure the room was cleaned. After he became the high priest this was most of his duties in the morning afterwards he would just wander around like usual.
He turned around as he notice the door open to reveal a friend of his that he hasn’t seen in quite some time. “Yes good morning indeed Yuki, I haven’t seen you in some time” Gabriel said. As he heard her talk about the arena battle with the spider he had not to long ago he had a smile on his face “ Thank you, and don’t worry I probably am planning on joining the next one as well when it comes up.” patting down his robes slightly he looked back at Yuki “ oh? A job you say? Hmm if needed should we step outside then I wouldn’t want to get in the way of anyone else coming in to pray” Gabriel said as he walked to the corner and grabbed his staff before walking back to the entrance waiting for yuki to follow.

Nodding at the mention that it's been a while since they last seen each other. Giving him a quick hug. "It is still a great fest though I wish to be there next time you battle." At the mention of her having a job for him, she nodded her head and waited for him to grab his staff. Walking through the temple until they were outside she moved to one of the benches that overlooked the ocean even it being morning still one could see the ships off in the distance with flags waving. The sounds of the waves hitting the rocks it was relaxing even with it being dangerous and could possibly kill someone from the impact it is sad that sometimes the most beautiful things were the most dangerous.


"Yes the job I have for you." She looked out at the ocean onces again her hands twisting into her dress. "If you want... I mean you don't have to take it cause I am sure that you are busy with everything here... but I was wondering if possible if you wanted... I mean you don't have to say yes I just don't want to put you on the spot like that but would... you consider becoming my personal gaurd... only if you want to cause some issues has come up and...." Quickly stopping herself before she started to ramble more cause she was sure he heard about the roit in the slums and how they were deaths involved. She wasn't sure if the murder was traced back to her since he is a guard but with him being on vacation. Shaking those thoughts from her head deciding not focus on them at the moment.

Walking to the oceanside with Yuki he found a bench near them to sit on, brushing the bench slightly he then took a seat on one and gestured to Yuki to take a seat as well. “Yeah when I join one i’ll try to send word to you about it then.” Gabriel said with a smile on his face. After studying and becoming a high priest gabriel became more like a proper priest and did not have as much of the rough mannerisms he had before.


After listening to Yuki seemed to be nervous while explaining what the job entailed he looked at her and smiled “ I wouldn’t mind, I'm guessing because of what hawkeye did at the riot hm?” Gabriel said with a hint of sadness in his voice at the mention of the riot “ I was glad I wasn’t there but I have been living in the gallows during that time so word travels fast”. Gabriel looked around the area and checked the scenery for a couple seconds before looking back at Yuki, “If you don’t mind i’ll be your personal guard, Being a high priest is nice but it hardly pays enough “ Gabriel whispered trying to hold back his laughter “ Though I do need most of the mornings off since I still am a high priest, Taking care of Ai’s room is one of my duties. If you don’t mind that maybe we can work things out Yuki “ Gabriel said with a smile as he waited for her reaction.

Nodding her head when he mentioned what Hawkeye did at the riots, even if it wasn't her doing the killing she felt a little at fault. Her hands pulled on her dress a little hearing that word spread fast it didn't help ease her worry about all of the people who died it just caused her to feel a bit more guilty about it. Hearing him try to make things a bit lighter caused her to crack a small smile it was nice. Thinking for a moment on what he said about needing most of the morning off she couldn't argue much with it since she normally didn't leave the castle until around high noon so she could use the mornings to train a little bit on controlling her mana or even practice some of the martial arts she picked up so far. "I don't mind that. Though you will be given a room in the guard's sleeping quarters if you wished."


Feeling a bit more calm and relaxed since Gabriel didn't mind becoming her personal guard. "We just need to work out some things. Other then the mornings what days do you want off since I can't expect you to work every day."

“That can come in handy some days but I don’t really mind sleeping in the gallows, it helps with exercise and being able to look at different things on the way. And well i don’t really mind too much usually I don't have any solid plans to actually relax , Lately i been just walking around in the free time looking for people to help “ Gabriel said with a smile, afterwards he looked at the ocean and enjoyed the breeze for a bit before looking back at Yuki, “ Well either way i’ll leave that up to you. Even on my days off you could probably find me fairly easy Yuki, mornings im at the temple, and in the afternoon in the merchant district usually, and at night i’ll be in the gallows. “ Gabriel told Yuki his honest schedule since he didn’t mind too much and it wasn’t like it was needed to be a secret especially if he was going to be working for her soon. “ is there anything else you wanted to ask?” he said with a slight questioned look on his face wondering if there was anything she wanted to ask him at all.

"Okay... That is fine as long as you was okay with staying close to the castle on some days in case something comes up." She said before taking a moment watching the waves crash against the rocks. "How about every seven days you get a day off to relax and spend the day with your family." She said after hearing his schedule and it made sense that he wanted to stay near family and one day off without her having to ask him to accompany her on her little trips to town but it did mean that she would have to bring him to her family estate to see her mother.


"There is one more thing to talk about. How much would you like to be paid and how frequently would you prefer to be paid."

Gabriel listened to Yuki for a bit as she was asking him a question “ Umm every once in a while i’ll stay in the barracks then just in case, and well i dont really have a family they died when i was younger” Gabriel said normally. Looking at the waves for a few seconds before continuing to speak “ Though having a day off every 7 days wouldn’t be too bad.


Hearing the conversation turn to money Gabriel tried to add up the money he owed to the gallow inn and wondered how much he should be paid “ hmm not really sure to tell you the truth Amiee, probably a decent amount so i can pay off my debts to the inn I been staying at since I arrived, and probably once a week or twice a month would be fine. “ Gabriel said. “ How much is the usual for personal guards?” Gabriel asked Yuki wondering if she would had known.

"Oh I am sorry to hear about your family, but I am sure they are proud of all that you have accomplished." Her words sincere. "So days off and work hours been worked out that is good."


She was about to say something when she heard him called her by another name. "Amiee? Was that the name of your little sister?" She asked out of curiosity since it was a nice name. "Uh... we can do biweekly since I think that would be easier." Thinking for a moment on his question since he was going to be her personal guard in terms, and a new one at that so it's not as if she could pay him at a higher wage compared seasoned guard. "Well, you are looking between 2000 to 5000 ever two weeks. I know it's not a lot." She said since she didn't have much idea how much living expenses were since she never had to worry about where her food came from or sleeping in an Inn even during her short time of running away.

“Yeah I hope they are. And the work hours and days off seem fine to me Yuki.” Gabriel said as he stratched his head slightly “ Yeah sorry about that Yuki, Amiee is the name of a friend of mine who has been helping me a fair amount.”


As Gabriel heard what Yuki said about the money he was surprised it was actually a lot more than he first expected. Seeing how he would probably make a 1000 or 2000 every 2 week if he was lucky this was a shock for him, keeping his composure though he thought it through “ hmm how about around 3000 gold then? It's a lot more then how much I been making hunting so don’t worry too much about it Yuki.”

Nodding her head when he explained that Amiee was a friend of his that been helping him since she remembered when they first met he had mentioned that he only recently moved to Nova. "I'm glad you made a friend here."


Thinking for a moment 3000 was acceptable. "I am okay with that wage." Taking a moment to think as a cool breeze from the ocean bring the scent of salt with it. It was relaxing as she slowly ticked off everything they have gone over so far from work hours to pay wage. Realising that she still had to discuss with Gabriel about how he was to address her in public settings around other nobility or king. "Oh before I forget Gabriel I don't mind that you address me as Yuki. There are times when you will be accompanying me to formal events and you can not address me as casually as we are now." Her hands balling up on her dress before slowly letting it good and smoothing out her dress she really hated her title sometimes. "In those settings, you, unfortunately, have to address me as Baroness D'Avranches or Lady Yuki."

“Yeah she’s really nice “ Gabriel said happily as he wondered what amiee was doing for a second before focusing back to yuki “ Okay so 3000 it is” Gabriel smiled a bit since he never really made that much in one time and with the job he’s getting he’ll be making that every couple weeks.

“Okay thats fine with me Yuki, though i’ll probably call you lady yuki” Gabriel said as he scratched his head a bit “ Sorry but your last name is to hard for me to remember “ before giving a light laugh trying to pronounce it a couple times.

"Hm..." Tilting her head a little to the right wondering if her last name was really that hard to say. So far most people have been able to say her last time then again those people were other nobility who been raised to know the names of all nobility within the kingdom. She giggled a little after he tried to pronounce her name. "It is okay then if you can't pronounce it."


Thining for a moment if they went over everything needed. Realizing that was everything. "Well then it is set. I am in school right now so your first official day as my guard would be in the summer once school is out for the break. I believe that is everything unless you have something you want to ask or discus."

Thinking for a bit gabriel looked at yuki and smiled “ Hmm theres nothing i had in mind of asking you yuki, though was there anything else you wanted to do before it got dark? If not I could accompany you to the castle for now. “ Gabriel said as the sun slowly started to lower, “ I’m somewhat free now anyways so if you don't mind we could perhaps keep each others company a bit longer and catch up some more. It has been a while since we last saw each other.” Gabriel said as he stood up and started patting his robes to get any dirt and dust off his robes.
