From One World To Another

A void like portal opened and out fell out a pink haired girl who had been in a battle her clothes were slightly beaten up and worn. There were some cuts to her face arms and several bruses and the poor girl was knocked out. Although it seemed that the girl was reliving something that was happening in her dreams. And whatever it was, it was not something good at all, a nightmare if you will.

Nightmare


The sky above Kaguya had been blood red and ash particles floating about in the wind. And in the demonic skies above tokyo  were giant demonic eyes staring in a dead look to them. Screams and demonic laughs were heard around her as she looked to her brother, her other half. His face had a very sad look of defeat, they were unable to stop there enemy from unleashing the demon world conversion ritual. She and Shiro had been beaten rather bad and neither of them were able to fight or take back there world. "Kagu-chan........I know this sounds cowardly.......but....we need to run" he said panting heavily. As the young man was looking like he was dead on his feet and tired.

"But where in hell are we going to do since hell is now here" Kaguya exclaimed to her brother as there was no place to go. She was more then willing to fight until the end and try and do something. Everyone they knew was dead or corrupted into a demonic beast. The pink haired warrior was more then willing to go out in a blaze of glory and take down as many monsters and demons before she did.

"This world now is spacialy distorted and......I think we can open a portal to another reality. Maybe we can recover and get allies, and help.......or live there in peace. We can't stay here, we need to live and fight another day" said Shiro as he started to consentrate and several arcane seals and patterns were forming around him. And sparks flared as a rift in space was being formed. It then stablized and looked like a black hole but it was not sucking anything in.

".....Onii-chan.......are you sure this is going to work" said Kaguya as she looked a bit esatent when looking at the portal. She walked up to it and looked at her brother again with trepadation and fear of this unknown portal to some random reality.

"Look Kaguya, you have to trust me and I will be right behind you" he said and walked up to his sister. But it seemed that fate would be cruel as several deamons broke into there hiding place. "Shit......Kami-sama....why........look Kaguya you have to go. I will be right behind you. But I need to close the portal" he said and had hoped that she would listen to him. But it seemed that she would not do so.

As Kaguya herself had seen the demons crash there party "Like hell Onii-chan.....I am not leaving you. Your the only one left, I love and care about" she said and was already revving up her mana to take down these demons for one last fight. But she was knocked into the portal by her own brother! "ONII-CHAN.....NOOOOOOO" she screamed clawing into the air trying to grab her brother. But no avail and right before the blackness of the void took her. She heard her brother say sorry before she blacked out.

"SSSHIRRROOOO......NOOOOOOOOOOOOO" Kaguya screamed as she sat up and woke up. Panting and trying to get herself steady and alert with her surrroundings. Her eyes flicker about trying to figure out where she was and scan for any threats. But Kaguya felt her head and body throb in pain and felt really trained and weak. Not knowing what was happening to her. It made her afraid and now paranoid as she slowly got up. Her eyes saw that she was in some kind of temple to what she was not sure at all. Some of the writing was in some kind of odd script that she had no clue what it was. "Shiro......are you here......." she called out nerviously.

It had been a while since she returned to Bane the only reason she had returned today was because she felt a pull towards for last few days and she finally made it back. Thinking back to what a few days ago when sh was meditating and getting in touch with her powers she had been thinking of Fate's strings that connected them all the moment she had opened her eyes she saw the springs flicking in and out of her version before slowly coming into focus it was like that for a few moments before they flicked out of her version once again. Later that day she tried when again and this time notice that she had two strings connecting her to Lucifina one was a yellow tinted with red and the other it was pure white she wasn't sure what it meant. After that, she had felt the pull leading her towards Bane.



Now here she was in Bane looking around wondering why she was here. Closing her eyes she thought about the strings of Fate once again, again after blinking she saw the strings flicking into her version again she notice white strings connecting her to everyone in Bane. It was then she knew that the strings were it was the strings connecting all of the Fated together.



Walking the path towards the Fated Alter she looked down at her outfit. It was a simple summer kimono cut a bit shorter than normal in a sky blue shade. White and purple flowers ran up on the right side of it along her sleeve to top it off she had the white obi around her waist. On her feet was a pair of black wedge heels and her hair was done up in a bun some traditional hairpins to keep it together with a few strands of her hair framing her face.



Entering the temple she heard a voice speaking her native tongue she couldn't believe it that someone else spoke her language. It had to mean something else was fated from her world or a very similar one for them to speak Japanese. Turning her eyes she saw a busty female with pink hair, walking towards the female. "I'm not Shiro but you speak Japanese." She said in the Novian's tongue knowing that the divine power at work would give the female the knowledge of the language.

Kaguya while trying to figure out where she was heard footsteps and knew someone was coming. At the moment she felt way to weak to use any of her special techniques or any spells. She knew that there were a few kunai left in her holster and silently pulled out one and turned to the only in and out of the place. Her nerves were shot though and tried to keep calm in this situation then out walked a girl that was wearing yukata or something like that and was having a slight problem understanding but was able to hear the tail end in something she could understand. "Ok thank you kami........just where in the freaking hell am I and did you see a white haired male with red eyes and dressed like a rockstar. Oh...wait you might not know what I am talking about " she said and silently put her weapon away. She sighed and crossed her arms under her massive bust size and looked over the white haired girl. Kaguya saw that she was above the normal average and well she could tell that she was attractive. But there was something a bit off but could not put her direct finger on it but figured that the world she was in. Was messing with her powers and abilities at the moment.

Hearing the woman answer her in Japanese she decided that it would be best to continue the conversation that way until the woman settled into this realm a bit more speaking in Japanese this time. "Yes, thank the Kamis you made it over safely. Sadly no I have not seen a male fitting that description." She said shaking herself. Lending against the wall she crossed her leg in front of her as she gave the woman a look over. She reminded her of Lucifina in chest size but she also reminded her of an old classmate of hers who was one of the few that made it to graduation.



"As for where you are. This place where you are is called Gallow's Bane. Shorten to Bane by those like us. The kingdom we are within is called Nova. Feel free to ask me any questions I'll answer them to the best of my ability." She said calmly not wanting to cause the girl to go into a panic. Closing her eyes for a moment she opened them once again and notice that the white string had flicked out of her version once again.

Kaguya slowly took things in and tried to keep calm as good as she was going to get. Then heard Nyx speak again and listened intently and it solved somethings. She was saddened that the girl never saw her brother and it just made her feel sad as she might have been the only one in this world. But could not show that right now as she now heard a few things, A she was no longer on earth. But somewhere in a place called Nova. Kaguya wanted to face palm when she heard the words of Kingdom being mentioned. The pink haired girl just wanted to facepalm hard. As it seemed that she was in a fantasy world out of a videogame. "Ok.....great....and I take it that there are elves shooting arrows and wizards summoning dragons.....You had to drop us into a fantasy world.......Sorry. Anyway......I don't have anywhere to go for sleep. Is there any where I can go.....I don't know what to freaking do right now" as she was a bit overweilmed and not sure what to do. As her twin was always there with a plan for something. As Kaguya was always the brawn of the duo when it came to things. As he was the man with a plan at least.

"There are elves," She said thinking back to when she met Melda but laughed at the thought of Melda shooting an arrow. "But the one I met didn't shoot arrows but she did freeze a man's balls. And no wizards summoning dragons just normal magic. I would show you but I did leave my staff at Haven. It is a boarding house you can stay there for the night and we can discuss what you might want to do from here on out in the morning." She said as she pushed herself off the wall and closed the short distance and extended her hand towards the woman. "I'm Nyx by the way and on behalf us those of us who have settled down in this strange world welcome. Also don't over think it too much about your brother. I left my world in the spring and ended up in the autumn in this world, so there is a chance that your brother is on his way here still." She said trying to cheer up the girl a little since she knows how it feels to know the unknown fated of a sibling.

Kaguya had a deadpan expression as the pink haired girl had been sarcastic and she had to facepalm at this. "And they said I was dense" she said to herself silently. Although had to laugh at the fact that the elf she knew had tried to freeze some guy's balls off. But that laugh did help her get some of the worry she had heard of a boarding house for people like them. "That sounds rather nice......I need some rest. I am so tried...and thank you Nyx. I'm Hoshigane Kaguya, pleased to meet you" she said giving her name and a slight bow out of respect for Nyx. Kaguya smiled slightly when she mentioned that her brother might show up again. That did give her some hope but it did ease that feeling when you lost a special part of yourself. "Its harder when its your twin sibling then a normal brother or sister. That connection you have with them is something deeper then most.....I don't know what I am going to do in this world....." she said and walked over to Nyx as she visably looked tried and needed some rest. Then a loud growling could be heard. Kaguya looks down and blushes hard at this ".......well......does that place have anything to eat" looking really embarist and was trying to hide this but failing hard.

[Nyx]

"It is nice to meet you Hoshigane-san." Seeing her smile at the mention of her brother possibility showing up, she noted that Kaguya had a nice smile. "I can understand a little of what you are going, though. I miss my sister dearly as well but I pray that I will see her again." Hearing the light sounds of a growling stomach cause her to giggle a little. Thinking back to her time being fated it was almost Deja vu minus the misunderstanding. "There is a bar here as well. You can tell me a little about yourself as we get some... I guess it is around lunch time." She was about to turn on her heel and head out when she remembered the tired expression on Kaguya. "If you want you can lean as we head there. It is kinda a walk to the bar."

"Thank you Nyx.......but I will be fine with some food" Kaguya was tired but not that weak to fall over. "Well before being thrown into this world. I was apart of a......I guess you can say a special covert government team to deal with paranormal and supernatural things. Like...uh....slaying monsters and things like that. Or hunting down evil mages. My family went back several generations doing this. I honestly just wanted to make sure my brother was ok rather then the family honor or the money. Aside from that.....not too much" she said walking out from the temple room. The pink haired girl had assumed that Nyx would follow her out and take her to whatever food place there was. Kaguya knew that this world would be something really unknown as she had not studied a lot of world history at all. She would assume that the world she was in would be akin to something of a game her brother played. Since Kaguya knew nothing on medeavil era in the western world. How was she going to adjust to a place like this?

[Nyx]

Nyx listened to Kaguya as she talked about what she did in her world. She did her best to not laugh at the idea of paranormal and supernatural things because between her being an angel, the undead break out that stuff all seem normal to her. Still, it did get her thinking that maybe she could see if maybe she would be a good fit for the teaching staff at the Arch of Ages, and it would be a good start for the girl. Though the hunting down evil mages did worry her a little so maybe the girl would work better with the Rose court that she heard about working for the king but for not she wouldn't worry about those things just yet.


Leading the way to the tavern she, noticing that most of them just looked up for a moment at the newest fated before continuing with they world. "Is there anything you can not eat?" She asked since she wasn't sure if Kaguya would be able to handle the food of Nova as she reached the tavern.

Kaguya followed Nyx and left the girl to her thoughts and saw the surroundings as they walked to the tavern. It deffinately was still a major shock for her as she saw a lot of people in what she assumed comoner clothing. As well as elves and other fantasy races and when they walk in she heard Nyx asking her about things she could not eat. "Eh I am fine with anything I can't be picky right now. Its going to be weird eating a lot of western food" she said and was looking for a good table. It seemed like it was mid day at least ".......I wonder what I can do in this world. I'm just really good with smashing things half the time" she said and finally found a table near a window and sat down. If she was stuck or placed into this world. Kaguya was not sure what oppertunities were there for her. But figured that she could do some bounty hunting jobs of some sort. Since thats what she did in a sense before coming to Nova.

[Nyx]

Nyx allowed Kaguya to choose where they sat it didn't matter to her. Following the pink haired woman, she took a seat across from her. Looking up at the board she let out a small giggle it been a while since been here and since everyone spoke more than one language and most of them were still adjusting to learning to read and write Novaian most of the food items were pictures. Flagging down a waitress she ordered for the both of them. "I'll take two orders of beef stew, with extra bread. Also, can I get two lemonades." She said in Novaian before watching the woman nod and walk away to inform the chef.


Switching back Japanese, "Hm... well you could see if you could get a job working for the king, or maybe a noble. If that doesn't work I know there are some wanted crimminals in the kingdom that you can try and track down for some money. Also if you are intrested I could get you an interview to become a teacher at the Arch of Ages where I work. It is a magic and alchemy school." She said explained while waiting for they food to arrive. "Does any of those appeal to you?"

Kaguya hears what Nyx said and heard what she was ordering and was happy as it was something basic. Then after that though the white haired girl went on to explain and tell her. On what options she has at her disposal and she thought some of it over in her head. Working for the King or a Noble seemed like the best way to get some fast cash. As well as going straight into bounty hunting. Then there was the teaching job at this mages school as the last one. The first two sounded good but she herself was not strong yet at all. Almost all of her abilities were gone except the ones she used the most. But even then they were very weak compared to what they were previously. "To tell you the truth and I hate to say this. But I am not strong to do those kinds of jobs right now. After coming here most of my magical abilities are gone and the ones I have are at 25% or lower. I don't have anything to teach really, would it be possible to learn from this place? I don't have anything of value to pay for the learning" said Kaguya.

As the pink haired girl needed training and learn about this world. Since she was kind of back to square one and would have to learn everything over. She felt very embarist about showing her weakness like this but it could not be helped. As Kaguya had survived her world that was ending and coming to this world. It seemed that she had to pay a price to come to this place in some way.

[Nyx]

Nyx smiled a little at the mention of her powers being cut to almost nothing, she knew the feeling and have since adjusted to this world she recovered some of her powers and gain new ones as well. “I know how you feel Hoshigane-san feeling weaker compared to how you were before. I have been through it and I can only tell you it gets better, though you might never recover the same magical abilities you had before but you most likely learn new ones.” At the mention of her enrolling at the Arch, Nyx had to think for a moment since she wasn’t sure how the enrollment went for the Arch. Plus given Kaguya’s situation, she wasn’t sure if Adrain had a separate entrance exam for recent fated who wanted to enrol. The money didn’t worry her too much since she was sure that she could ask Adrain to help work out something. “We can head to the Arch of Ages and see about getting you enrolled. As for paying for your magical education, I am sure we can speak with the headmaster and work something out.”



After she said that she noticed the waitress heading back to their table with a tray. Waiting for the female she watched as the woman placed the bowls before them, she could see the stream coming off the stew, the extra piece of bread on the side along with the two glasses of lemonade. “We can head back to the Arch after you gotten some food and some rest.” Thinking for a moment wondering how she was going to get the both to the Arch. Normally she would fly but she didn’t leave that Kaguya had a drop of inhuman blood in her so flying was out of the option. “Can you ride a horse?” She said before she took a small spoonful of the stew and started eating.
