"Lay my head under the water...lay my head under the sea. Excuse me sir, am I your daughter? Won't you take me back, take me back and see?" Misty airs encompassed this atmosphere, the world damp and warm. Harlequin slid beneath the tepid waves as she softy sang to herself, lamenting thoughts inescapable in this moment. Her ivory skin quickly pinked and she peered at the reddened flesh with quiet delight, how she reveled in the wonders of the body and all it's magnificence. Taking a closer viewing she swore she saw the openings of her capillaries, the small veins that ran into every pore so one could absorb heat and let it out the same.
Can I open up? Expand so every hole of my soul is open; receptive and outpouring, to be inputted and outputted ceaselessly. Would this be fair? My savageries unveiled and unconstrained, the world tainting and cleansing myself in a sweep of oxymorons. Harlequin sank deeper still into the steamy waves, her long dark tresses of hair floated and swayed around her head much like a dark aura and the world blurred before her eyes.
A faint howl was carried to her pierced ears, rippling through the water and as she rose to the surface she snapped open her jaw to extend a loud answering bellow of her own, a signal to her wolf familiar Luca that all was well and he could meander in peace. With just Luca she knew she'd be alright, after all there was a time when he was all she had. The time was midday and the sun shone heavily upon her head, dazzling crystals reflecting off the water's surface. The wavering layers of light and water obscured her nude body, a true visage of purity but her mind was splashed with gore and blood, stained beyond compare.
Fingering the edges of this hot spring, sprouting between the coal pebbles that was the pool's circumference, she ensnared strands of grass and wildflowers, and she inhaled their sweet breath as an attempt to keep her shadows at bay. " Don't let the water drag you down...."

It was still early in the afternoon, but her kitty kept telling her that she stinks. It wasn't her fault really after being in the tunnels the night before it only made sense that she didn't smell as clean as did the day before. This time her kitty decided to tag along, sitting upon her shoulder, complaining each time.
"Look Starlight if you're going to keep complaining I just wouldn't take a bath." She didn't normally talk to Starlight out in the open like this but since no one was around she figured that it was okay.
The sounds of a howl in the distance ending the comment on Starlight's muzzle. Another howl much closer sent both of they fur on an end. Maybe a bath wasn't a good idea right now, for either for them. As they were going to turn away and head back the way they came a voice soon filled they ears.
With a single look at Starlight Amiee headed towards the voice. Seeing a woman, she took a sniff seeing if she could catch a scent. The faint scent of a wolf came to her nose, it soon ended at the water as it became pure. Her eyes widen upon this, the woman was like her, but more human than wolf with the scent of a wolf.
Starlight jumped off of her shoulder straight into the water causing it to ripple. After shaking her head at her, Amiee slowly lowered herself into the water. "You know, the current isn't strong enough to pull you under." She said finally responding to the words she believed came from the woman earlier while looking at Starlight in case she misheard to make it seem as if she was talking to her.

Harlequin ended the note with a swift close of her soft lips, humming the rest of the melody. Lazily she traced circles on the water's surface with the tips of her fingers but then a tingling sensation tickled the head of her spinal cord and she llifted her eyes to the west. Moments later a woman of animalistic tendencies walked into the steamy space, a cat perched upon her shoulder. Harlequin watched their approach with quiet interest, she sensed no hostility but the wolf in her warned her to be cautious amongst others of beastly persuasion.
As they entered the pool Harlequin raised an eyebrow towards the cat who bounded into the waves, odd for a feline to take to water so. Her nose twitched as a dull putrid smell drifted to her, and she flicked her gold eyes to the woman, the source of the smell. To her inquiry she gave a small smile, tips of her pointed grin showing. " Not all that people say or sing is literal, you know. This water is too clean to pull anything under but the tides of the mind and emotions.? They can drown us all. " although her words walked with melancholy , her voice was bright and welcoming.
A low snap sounded to the left of the woman, Luca , a beautiful wolf with dark gold and black fur who was much larger than any common wolf, stepped out from the tree line, watching them with attentive eyes. He stood still and alert , sniffing the air trying to identify these creatures. He gave a small growl In their direction, a light warning rather than a threat to the newcomers not to overstep themselves. He was as protective of Harlequin as she was of him.

Amiee watched as the woman seems to give Starlight a strange look, she wondered why. Ducking under the water, to get her body fully soaked, along with grabbing one of the rocks on the bottom of the water. Her head broke the top of the water as she looked at the woman. Nodding her head at the woman's words that no one would come here to drown, but she disagreed with the emotions, they maybe drown us but only if we let them and don't learn to float.
Her ears caught the sound a branch snapped, turning she saw a wolf. The colours of the coat were beautiful, judging by the size it might be a Dire wolf. Not that she was going to ask the wolf if it was once since she can't talk to wolves like she to cats. Starlight was not liking the growl, hissed back at the wolf, swimming to be in front of Amiee. She wasn't the type of cat to let anyone threat Amiee nor would she take a warning lightly, she would respond with her own.
She smiled, even with her being so small compared to the wolf she still acts like she was bigger. Picking up Starlight, she tapped the cat on her nose watching as she shakes her head looking up at her. "Silly kitty. I don't think the wolf means any harms. Plus the woman's scent she is kinda like me, I think the wolf is her companion."
She listened to Starlight responds saying that she don't care if wolf was the woman's companion it shouldn't growl at them like that. Understanding Starlight, as she placed her back into the water.
Looking towards the woman, she cast a shy smile. "It seems like your friend is upsetting Starlight. Could you let.." She took a sniff of the air to see if she could pick out the gender of the wolf, a male it seems. "Him know that we mean no harm. I hate to see Starlight all worked up like this." She said in a soft voice.

She tried to stay interested in those around her but the blueprint for a fractured mind has no set details, everything is always blurring into the next. So she watched the sky above them all, floating on wafts of air to maybe kiss the heavens or tear the sun out with her teeth, and she was caught up in the atmosphere the steam creating a visage of diamonds and mist. Heat and light, evaporating day. The waves will burn them all and suffocate the flames. Heat and light, light in heat , me and them, her and me? Harlequin ducked under the waves, seemingly to ignore those present but popped up swift enough this seemed idea vanished. Water trailing down her skin, sliding to collide with the pool below.
Harlequin glanced in Luca's direction, aware of his approaching figure far before he made himself known, and smiled at his warning. She couldn't help but have a more break away grin at the cat's, or Starlight's reaction, how fearless. " You need not be so flustered, he intends no ill will of his own. Overly cautious is all, he won't bite unless provoked.I'm the one you need to be careful for." again she smirked, this time to produce an air that she was joking-but to those who knew the truth this was no laughing matter. Playfully she flicked some droplets of water in Starlight's direction whilst Luca , now satisfied, sunk onto his haunches, resting but alert.

"See Star he isn't gonna bite." She said as she watch Starlight flick her tail in the direction of the wolf, before going back to swimming this time staying closer to Amiee than before. Turning her graze to the woman she smiled the part about her biting. "You know if you bite, I might like it and have to return a bite of my own." Winking at her, as she took a lock of hair in her paws, running her claws though getting all the knots out.
Watching Starlight shake her head, as she shocked away the water that was flicked at her. Calling Star to her she started to brush her fur, knowing it would help to calm her down, soon Star started to purr happily. "I'm Amiee, and well this here is Starlight. What brings you to the springs I haven't seen you around here before." Asking as her curiosity got the best of her.

At the woman’s comment to her own, Harlequin gave little notice, swung up on the winds once more and not really in the mind to be flirting. She knew it was better to be alone, unable to hurt and be hurt, but catch her in mania town and she’ll seduce you until you’re buried in the ground, dying with a smile. As it was she bared her teeth playfully, looking out of place in her unaltered human face but the meaning came across nonetheless; thankful but currently disinterested. Of course she was nearly always mixing signals, no one ever knew what side she was on or what game she was playing at.
Harlequin watched Starlight splash around some more, pleased in the familiar finicky nature in which she lived. Cutting through the water towards Starlight, rings radiated around her nude moving form, she was now a few feet away from the woman who held a purring mass of fur tucked under her hands. She stood there in utter silence, staring deeply into her eyes with a husky gaze that emulated sexual tension but as quickly as she built this up she shattered it, looking away and into the trees surrounding them.
“ Hello and hi Starlight, hi and hello Amiee. I’m glad to share these waves! Everyone’s too busy treading to stay and float with me for a bit....You can call me Harley, and she can call me Quin-but only if you both say it after one another. “ she paused, bright eyed, now looking at them with a child’s wonder but giggled and waved a hand away. “ Oh don’t look so befuddled, name’s Harlequin and I won’t take any less. That hump of grump over there-” she nodded to the dire wolf “ is my faithful companion and mutual guardian; Luca. ” At being mentioned he gave a little huff of air and rolled his eyes at them.
” We live in the forest and got a little tired of leaves and dirt, he’s been urging me to come here for quite some time now. I can see why...it’s just seems like a quiet place....a place to let ideas sink in! Ha! Sink in, get it?” With frantic eyes she stared at them expectantly, hands fingering through her own long locks of hair.

Amiee watched the woman moved through the water, as she continue to brush Starlight keeping the cat calm and under control. She didn't mind having an overprotective kitten, but she sometimes bite off more than she could chew in some situations. Looking up into the woman's eyes, she notices the stare almost reminded her of a male in heat, but the look quickly faded before she could be for sure.
"Nice to meet you Harlequin," Amiee said as Starlight mewed in her addressing Harlequin, and Luca. Starlight still didn't like the wolf too much it seem too full of itself to her and didn't mind voicing it to Amiee at all. "Oh hush you kitty, you just like Luca some days, minus the grump part."
"I used to live on the road. Now I live in the city where I can protect little ones like Starlight. I also see why he urge you to come here. It's a nice place relax."I used to live on the road. Now I live in the city where I can protect little ones like Starlight. I also see why he urge you to come here. It's a nice place relax." She said she looked at Luca.
"Since you live in the forest. Have you met the guaridian of the forest?"
