She giggled, noting his reaction. It's just for fun, I promise! I did it a couple weeks ago. And besides, whoever you get matched with, you don't have to stay with them, just go out with them for a day- nothing serious, I promise. She put her other hand on his arm, and leaned her head into his shoulder while they walked. She was blushing at his later comment about having his match.
And hey... we're both on that list... perhaps we'll get matched together, who knows? She knew she probably would be jealous of whoever got matched with him, but she did it for the fun. She knew it would be a cute memory if anything. She lifted her head from his shoulder, and glanced up at his question.
I guess it depends on who it calling me it. Back then, it was by condescending adults and rude children... Now no one really knows about it, or have thought of it, so I haven't heard it in years. Perhaps from you, I wouldn't mind... though I do prefer Lilith. She smiled and thought aloud without intending to;
For some reason, I really like when you say my name. I think it's the tone, it's quite soothing, very attractive- She glanced up, her face plunging into a ruby red and she covered her mouth with her hand, laughing lightly.

Sima looked at her, he understood fun, but couldn't she have picked a different kind of fun? Sima supposed it wasn't all that bad, it wasn't as if he'd be paired up with anyone he knew. Sima thought about her little nickname, perhaps he would reserve it for special occasions only, or call her that when he was thinking of being 'serious' with her, and when Sima meant serious, he meant playfully serious. Sima looked down at her on the tone of her liking him calling for her. Sima laughed lightly at this thought. "I enjoy calling your name, Lilith." Sima smiled looking down at her. "and I'm glad I can be even remotely attractive for you," Sima added to that.
The walk continued on, and Sima felt like he had to keep the conversation going, so he did just that. It was certainly a long walk, 2-3 hours, but it was entertaining and fum just to have some alone time with Lilith, not that he didn't get that in ample time before, this was just the first time he knew she liked to be alone with him. "When I first met you you seemed so distant, but I think, or it felt like you were hiding from everything that scared you, which was practically everything.." Sima laughed at his little joke. "I can't imagine you trying to tell me how you felt half a month ago, I don't think you could do it.." Sima shrugged. "I just hope your not afraid of anything, at least when I'm near you."

Her blushing continued when he laughed, but she liked his laugh, so she didn't mind. Well I'm glad it's mutual then Sima. She muttered, but knew he could hear. She was quite enjoying their walk, but she began to wonder what was at the end of it. She'd never gone to festivals like this, or at all really. The status of a loner was an understatement for her, until recently. She thought about his words, slightly offended but mostly in a joking sort. He was probably right though- a month ago, if she'd had these feelings so quickly, she would never have the courage to admit it- she barely did now. He made more bold in a sense. She wasn't as nervous around him, or as shy. She liked being playful, a goofball, all of things she was afraid to be or do around everyone else. He she first met him, she was distant, she was hiding, and though everything that scared her before, some of it still scared her now, but not as bad. Without knowing it he'd helped her with her fear of the dark.
Oh I wasn't that bad was I? I didn't realize I'd changed so much. She was joking, but she had to wonder if he preferred this over the way she'd been, as she wasn't all that different, not at all really. Only around him.
And well, I do certainly feel safe around you Sima... More safe than I feel anywhere else actually... But I still have my fears... they just dull considerably. So thank you. She hugged his arm tightly and let out a soft sigh. She wasn't good at expressing herself, she knew that, and she hoped he did. The little actions she did do, and the things she did say, they may have seemed small, but they were huge for her.
Speaking of things like this, I could certainly say similar things about you. When we met, you were very careful, very reserved. Now I find you cooking half naked in my kitchen with no more explanation than a goofy smile. I think that qualifies, does it not?

Sima looked at Lilith as she spoke of Sima becoming less reserved with her. Sima shrugged, "It's a little different, I keep my distance from people because I don't want to hurt them.." Sima spoke honestly, although it would raise the question, why did he stay with her? Sima didn't feel like explaining this right now, nor did he feel like he could explain it properly. Sima felt that it was rather chilly today, but not being that bad. They had been walking for a while, and it would probably be only a matter of time before they started to see the village on the horizon. "You know, maybe I should get my own farm here in Teair, I love to have the land to do what I want with, and I could make my own buildings. I'm sure the architecture would be different, considering I am from another world, but it would unique no?" Sima thought maybe Lilith would like to see that.
Sima looked at her, and realized, he had already given her many unique things. "I realized, I have given you a few things not from this world" Sima laughed. "Some of my food, recipes, I never learned too much from Teair."

Lilith smiled. She had a feeling that would be his answer, and felt special that he'd stayed with her. Sima hurting her had never crossed her mind, nor did she ever think it would. She watched him as he spoke, liking the way his eyes lit up at the idea of land of his own, farming, and buildings. She'd known the things he'd taught her, fed and her shown her were not from Teair, and she loved it all the more. Fated had always interested her, she had to admit.
Why, I think that's a marvellous idea! I'd love to see that as well! Oh, and I know, it was all quite interesting, but very good. She smiled at him again, and looked forward from where they were walking. She could swear she could see the beginnings of a village. Lilith tugged on Sima's sleeve out of excitement.
Look Sima! We're almost there!! Their walk had been long and eventful, but she was more than ready for the festival and wanted to enjoy it with him soon.

"Almost there?" Sima must have been quite busy talking to not realize the distance in which the pair had traveled, "Your right," Sima could see a bit of the buildings showing upon the horizon, they were in fact almost there. Sima knew however, that he would have to be careful now. You'd think it'd be safer closer to the village, but in fact is was a bit more dangerous until you actually entered it. Their was no guards, so the safety came from the sheer numbers of people, no one was going to attempt something too bold in there, but many antagonized the travelers for 'taxes' which was obviously a fraud meaning they wanted money, or they would beat you up. Sima didn't want too much confrontation, he wondered exactly how they would do this. He then realized however, this was different than his home right? Perhaps people were a bit more civilized than this.
"Lilith, just stay close." That was a habit for Sima, she was close already, but the words were really meant to ease Sima, not Lilith. Sima said this because he could see some people doing just that, asking for 'taxes' and as they got closer more people seemed to show up. This was a perfect place for a bandit group, to work quietly in conjunction. Sima could try and see who wqas affiliated by smell, but he could be wrong also, maybe it was just one small band trying to make money on the people trying to enter the festival. Whatever reason, Sima was still on edge, things like this were much worse in his home world.
"I hope you will enjoy the festival, I hope it will be something to compare to the ones where I come from" Sima spoke a little quietly as if to hide this from the other people passing by.

Lilith looked ahead happily, growing more excited by the second. She looked at Sima, hoping he shared her excitement, but found a worried look all over his face. Something was wrong, and he could sense it. He told her to stay close to him, so she made sure she was slightly behind him, gripping his hand tightly. They continued to walk, but with and obvious sense of care, as they both looked around. She could tell he was searching for something, though she didn't know how. She just hoped they made it there without any trouble. She really didn't want to fight again, or be in any situation like that, she was tired of it, and would like to keep this dress in one piece. With her plans in mind, she didn't have the money to keep buying more.
I've never been to any festival before, so I'm sure I will love it. Her tone was assuring, not just about the festival, but about whatever danger he thought was around them. She had to believe they would be okay, even if her heart pounding in her chest was trying to convince her otherwise.
What are the ones where you're from like? Now she was just making conversation, to keep her from overthinking.

Sima looked at her as she asked what they were like. "The best way to describe them is warm, and beautiful." Sima moved them slightly to different positions in the crowd, attempting to avoid any hagglers, and bandits. "They are the best at night time, in my world they pull out special lights that float in the sky. They are quite expensive, but on special occasions when you have many the sight is something to behold" After a while it seemed they passed most of the trouble, luckily, but Sima doubted they would be able to when the festival ended, which was at night time, so often bandits got a bit rowdy. They entered the village, and at first sight it seemed like nothing other then a crowded town, but once they turned the corner with the crowds it was something unexpected. Many decorative lights hanging from a top building, people all dressed formally making a rather elegant looking crowd. As well as many booth each having some unique game to offer. This was pretty interesting, Sima wondered what type of games they could try. Most were centered around couples, orienting it for people of twos. Sima did this on purpose of course, dragging Lilith into something like this, however it seemed Lilith had revenge already by dragging him into a matchmaking service.
"Looks like we are here," Sima looked around wondering what they should try first.

Lilith tried to imagine what they would be like based on Sima's description, but as they turned the corner, she no longer had to. Her mouth fell open with a gasp, and she raised her hand to cover her mouth. The sight before her eyes was stunning. The lights, the booths, the people, the simple aura of the place was enough to make Lilith speechless. She simply looked back and forth from the festival to Sima, blinking. Her face was red, but only from how big her smile was. Her worry from before vanished and was replaced with an urge to try everything, to enjoy everything with Sima. She held his hand tightly in hers, and tugged lightly, wanting to try one.
Sima... This is amazing. Thank you so much for bringing me here! Thank you! She released his hand and turned to jump on him in a hug like way. She let go of him, and looked up to his face, smiling fondly.
Aside from saving me, this is the best thing anyones ever done from me- and you're the one who saved me, so there you go. She was rambling, over joyed, and out of a snap decision in her head, she went up on her tip toes and kissed him, in her mind, thanking him yet again for doing this. After pulling away once more, she grinned at him, and pulled him towards one of the closest booths, just wanting to try something.

Sima was rather surprised at her response, kissing him in public like that. That was something he swore Lilith would never do, but here she was proving him wrong. Lilith certainly had a spunk to her, "Ok Ok," Sima responded as she tugged him towards some of the booths that were available. Sima guided them to the closest one available. The line was rather short, most people were pulled to the larger booths in the back of the festival. Sima waited in line with Lilith, he looked at the other couples in line, and wondered if Lilith figured out that it was a festival meant for couples. When the line started moving and it allowed it to be there turn Sima was rather energetic, having a bit of a hard time controlling himself to be calm. "Hello you two," A man spoke loudly. "Enjoying the festival so far? Or am I your first stop of the day?" Sima looked at his and raised his fee hand up excitedly. "First stop of the day!" He laughed happily. The man replied with. "Your lucky, usually my booth's line is all the way to the crossroads..." The man paused for a moment. "Welcome to the love calculator!" The man spoke as if entertaining a whole crowd. "Here you can test just how 'compatible' you are to your match, what do you say?" Sounded like fun didn't it? Sima looked at Lilith curiously. "What do you say?" He scratched the back of his head nervously.

Lilith glanced happily around. noticing that everyone here was in pairs of two. Her mind started to wander, and she glanced at Sima, wondering if he'd done this on purpose, bringing to a couples festival, he must have, right? Her smile softened and she held on tenderly to his arm, leaning into him calmly. She wouldn't think she could be so openly affectionate, and perhaps is was because she knew no one there, but she surprised herself, and didn't mind it at all. While they waited in line, Lilith pondered different booths, wondering of their contents, and all the fun they could have. When it was their turn, Lilith smiled at the man and did speak until Sima looked at her. The purpose of this booth had stunned her. The Love Calculator? Her face brightened and she glanced at Sima nervously and nodded. She very obviously couldn't back out now, and what harm would it do?
Oh, Um, sure! She smiled and leaning into him again, thinking they would have nothing to worry about. She constantly surprised herself with how much she cared for this man. She averted her face with his arm and waited nervously. Without meaning to, she took in the sent of his shirt. he hadn't been wearing it for all that long, as it was new, but it smelt like him regardless, and it made her smile more. He smelled really nice. Something she could, and would get used to.

Sima looekd at Lilith as she agreed to try this 'love calculator'. "I guess we are doing it," Sima spoke to the man, and the man quickly raised his hand in excitement. "GOOD good!" He pulled out a large medal rod. "Now, move beside each other so your left hands are facing each other. You will take the rod in both your hands, and pull when I give the command" Sima grabbed his section of the rod in his left hand, and Lilith would have to grab the second section in her left hand. He then grabbed the wire and pulled it over to a large backdrop he had. The backdrops design was a meter (similar to the test of strength games where you must hit the bell at the top.) The meter had a display at sections where it went up starting from 10% and going up by tens to 100. "Pull on the count of three, and watch as it rises, it will then begin to fall, landing at what it calculates your score to be!" He gave no time for thought.
"Three, Two, One!" Sima listened, and pulled, slowing himself down as to not yank the think off the wooden backdrop, which would be quite easy anyways, but Lilith wouldn't be too entertained by that would she. In a matter of seconds it rose, quickly, Sima was more concerned if Lilith was enjoying herself. It rose and then began to drop hitting wooden pegs at the percentile intervals. It then stopped at the 20% mark. Sima looked at Lilith and shrugged. "Looks like you two aren't going to turn out to well now!" He chuckled, "Don't worry it's all in good fun!"

Lilith did as was instructed and held on to the bar excitedly. Waiting for the command, she looked up at Sima, into his eyes. He seemed to be waiting for something, or at least, watching to see her reaction. She stuck her tongue out at him foolishly and pulled the wire. Lilith turned her head and watched the meter right and fall, landing on the 20% mark. She kept her smile on her face, but her heart did fall, just a little. She knew it wasn't real, just a game, but one could still hope for a higher mark than that. She shrugged her shoulders and took hold of his arm again.
Want to try something else? She was more than eager to move on, to try another game and have more fun. She didn't just want him to see her had fun, she wanted him to have fun as well. She pulled him along to a booth further into the festival and away from the meter she had determined to be wrong. She had seen a booth while they were waiting, and she just knew he would enjoy it. Lilith pulled him into the line of a booth labeled CANDY FUN and had previously determined, by watching, that one made their own candy here, and gave it to the other person. It seemed like something Sima would do, so she was certain he would enjoy this.
Lilith looked up to him eagerly, waiting to see his reaction as he figured it out while they inched up the line. It wasn't too long, but it was a decent booth.
I want you to have fun too you know. It's not just about me. Lilith kissed his cheek and held his hand tightly, having more fun here than she would have previously imagined. She simply loved going out with him, that's all it seemed to come down too- though the festival itself was amazing. She would have been happy anywhere with him, the forest, a meadow, the town, but this was amazing too.

When Lilith turned Sima towards the CANDY FUN booth he could tell what it was without even looking at it. It smelled of hot sweets, easy enough to tell. Sima didn't make enough of sweets, he thought at least, it was different then baking, it was more like cooking in a sense. Sima waited energetically, Sima was so ready to make candy he almost didn't react when Lilith kissed him, instead he responded with. "You chose a good booth!" Having a hard time entertaining the idea of trying hard candies, or maybe even toffee. When the line eventually made it's way round to their tuurn hte two were greeted with a table full of different candies, most in a liquid state. There was caramel, and hard candy, just heated up in liquid form. The idea was to create your own candy, so Sima could easily tell you had to dip something into your choice of vats, Sima wanted the green ones first. The different colors certainly were interesting, but the odd smells they had confused Sima.
He however quickly grabbed what they were supposed to dip, which seemed to be toffee on a stick. Sima went for the hard candy layers first, dipping in one color, letting it harden, and then choosing another. He then bathed it in caramel, and rolled it into the sugar'd jujubes as a topper for the end. Sima was rather happy about this, and he just wondered what Lilith would make hers like. Their was enough to create a arrange of combinations after all.

Lilith laughed at his response, happy that he was now enjoying himself as much as her. He didn't seem to be able to contain it, and it made her smile more. When their turned arrive, she saw him jump right in and she decided to focus on her own rather than watching him. She took the stick from the pile and chose to dip hers in a chocolate like substance first. After that hardened, she dipped it in a blue layer, then a purple one, creating an opaque colour of deep violet. Before that dried she put on a sugar coating and let it dry. She was wondering what Sima was doing, but decided to let it be a surprise. She fully intended on left him have both, as she wasn't a large fan of hard candy, but if he insisted, she knew she couldn't say no to him.
Once they were both finished, Lilith walked away from the booth, figuring he'd follow, and presented him with her sugar coated dark violet stick of hard candy, chocolate and toffee, waiting for his reaction. She smiled nervously, not sure if he'd like the combination.
Tadaaaa.... She laughed lightly.
