Kail was currently in his store front window putting some items in the window as he was getting things set up to try and open the store. As he wanted to get some extra income as he wanted to get money to buy better materials to make things. Aside from that he felt slightly bored with things going on and just wanted to do something a tad crazy. To break up the monatiny of the day in and day out events. Kail's door was unlocked for anyone to come on in and was currently doing other things to tidy the store up. While he was doing that, Kail had put some sweet treats into a custom oven he had made from extra materials he had. The sweet smell of cinnamon would be waifting in the air down the pathways of Gallows Bane. The blond did wish that he ran into any of his former roomates and friends from the quest he took. He did worry on Claire, Shy, and some extent Ilta but the other two though were more of a worry. Since Claire had been in ill shape last time and then Shy going with her.
"I hope those two are ok" he said and sat down on a stool that was behind the counter and was drinking some fresh and cold water. Kail went back into thought as he looked over the place and wanted to upgrade to add a home on either lower level or a higher level.

Séanait had decided to go for a walk around Gallows Bane, or "Bane" as it had apparently been nicknamed, now that she and Claire had moved in. She'd only been inside Rivers' house so far and hadn't had a chance to explore the morning after the "Truth or Dare" session. Her mouth quirked up in a small smile as she remembered that night. It had been a lot of fun in the end, despite a rocky middle.
The smell of something good cooking caught her attention and she followed the delicious smell until she came across a large building that, while not looking like a bakery, did seem to have a storefront. Curious as to what the building was, as well as hungry, she walked up to it and entered the shop. To her surprise, she saw Kail sitting behind the counter, drinking a cup of something.
"Kail!" She said with a pleased grin, coming up to the counter and sticking out a hand for him to shake, "Long time, no see! What've you been up to?"

Kail had heard a voice he knew and sees Shy walking into his shop. "Hey Shy its been a while, well as you can see I got my hands on a workshop here. I've had a rocky situation the last few weeks" said Kail and goes over to a cooler and takes a pitcher out. As well as a well crafted cup that was made out of clay or some kind of ceramic or clay. He then pours some water into the cup and offers it to the redhead. "The water is clean and purified so its safe to drink" he said and gets a heavy cloth glove and pulls out a tin out of a oven and then pops over a counter that was clean and a loaf of bread comes out to a wire rack to cool. "Sorry about that, I was baking something, so what happened to you after we all went our different ways. Been a bit worried about you and Claire for awhile now" he said motions for Shy to come over to a small living space that was in the shop to sit down.

Kail bustled around the kitchen, offering Séanait water in a pottery cup of better than average make before going over to the oven and pulling a loaf of bread out of the oven. A seasoned campaigner with a cast iron stomach, Séanait was nonetheless glad to hear from Kail that the water was pure. While only really heavily contaminated water got to her these days, she never really trusted pure water from a source that she, or someone she trusted, hadn't checked out first.
"Thanks."
Séanait frowned when she heard that Kail had had a rocky situation in the last couple of weeks. She'd noticed that he hadn't been at the springs during the truth or dare session, but hadn't thought much of it at the time, nor of the fact that Serenity and Rivers had been after each other. Séanait, after all, was hardly monogamous. But, now that she thought about it, it had been strange behavior for normal people.
"Trouble with Serenity?" She asked, feeling only a little guilty for sleeping with the redhead and none of that showing on her face.
At Kail's question as to what she and Claire had been up to, Séanait only shrugged. The fewer people who knew that it had been them in the castle the better, at least until it was confirmed that the Guard knew their identities. Kail wouldn't willingly tell anyone, she was sure, but the King had his torturers, as Claire could attest.
"Oh, we did this and that. Things finally got too dangerous, though, so Rivers and I managed to convince Claire to come back here. It's for the best, I think."

"We are not a couple if that's what your thinking. We came to a understanding that a relationship would not work. I am not the man that she needs.....she needs someone that's far more mature then I. It came about after a series of events while dealing with Rivers. I've kept my distance from Haven since then as whenever I see River's face I just want to bash it in with something. I will not be made a fool for the expense of others" Kail then looks over at Shy and sighs as he had some issues since the last time they had saw each other. It seemed that the event had caused the blond to get a chip on his shoulder with Rivers. As he found the man to be more of a asshole then a charming person. Did women go for assholes like him or he just had some kind of charisma that got them all. He practicly had a harem in a sense with the amount of women there including now Claire and Shy.
"Sorry that.....that's still pretty fresh in my mind. And from what I can tell you did something really really crazy. You don't have to say anything else on the matter" he said and then drank a bit more from his cup. "Honestly.....at times I don't understand women. Do I have to be in there shoes to understand somethings. Or am I still not mature enough in my mind.....sorry if this conversation is really going out there" he said and poured himself another glass of water. He did not want to get depressing since he was talking with a friend at least. Yeah he looked not as confident as he was before as things were beating down. Kail was trying to make himself better but utterly failing in some points. He knew that life was not fair but it could cut him some slack.

Séanait nodded sympathetically and gave Kail a wry grin.
"Probably a good idea. I, for one, wouldn't want to see you bash Rivers' head in."
Internally, she gave a world weary sigh and felt so damn old. Here she was, only two years older than Kail, and she was considering him an immature, angry, spoilt boy. She didn't know the exact circumstances of the argument, but the bitterness in Kail's voice and his reference to not being "mature" enough for Serenity and not being willing to be "made a fool" suggested to her that he had taken something the wrong way and gone off in a huff. Likely only stubbornness and wounded pride kept him away now.
Kail mentioned that he didn't understand women at times and Séanait couldn't help but laugh and slap him on the back. She'd heard both sexes claiming that the other was unfathomable many times, but the irony had yet to wear off for her. There was also another reason for her laughter, which was that she had thought of something to try and get Kail to do.
"Ha! You've got no idea how many times I've heard women complain about how hard men are to understand!" Then, as if the idea had just struck her, she said, "You know, I might just have a way for you to understand women a little better."
Séanait reached into her belt pouch and brought out a plain gold ring inscribed with mystical symbols and passed it over to Kail.
"This ring lets you change your gender temporarily. How about you try spending a few hours as a woman?"
