Serenity flinched at Arias hand, not expecting it in the slightest. She walked where she was lead, cringing with every tug on her ear. Once she was seated, she lifted her hand, rubbing her ear, her expressing dark. She looked at Aria, the sour look on her face only growing. She knew what Aria said was true— If she took this job all of it would make sense. But if she didn’t she would flip the prissy bitch off all she wanted. She only reason she was agreeing to any of this was so they could come out of hiding, so she could be apart of something good, and be helping the cause she was so deeply involved in. She didn’t want to move out of Haven, she didn’t want to serve Aria, or teach her. She certainly didn’t want anything to do with the Princess, nor did she want to move wherever she was from. But she wanted a purpose, and Aria had been right in choosing her. Aside from the obvious problems, there may not be anyone better for the task, with the hidden mission behind it. She knew in saying what she did, she was contradicting herself in her love of manners, but that blond bimbo got under her skin in no time at all. Serenity detested being looked down upon. If it was her job, and people she didn’t know did it, she could shrug it off, but Aria had talked this lady up, and made her sound pleasant and Serenity knew she’d be seeing a lot of her. She knew she wasn’t the nicest person herself, but by taking this job she could never stand up for herself to Her Highness.
She heard all of Arias words heavily, noting the knowledge that she was given. Aria was apart of the Noru family? That couldn’t be widely known. Serenity kept her expression on that neutral, keeping the irritated look instead. She didn’t care what Aria threatened. She already knew all of it, as she’d sat where Aria did more times in her life than Aria ever would. Though skinning her was a new one. When Aria spoke about her expressions being out in the open, she cocked her head at her. Did this woman know her at all? You could teach her for years at a time and her face wouldn’t be blank. And when she spoke of apologizing to the Princess, Serenity nearly rolled her eyes. Of course she’d have to, but there was no way in hell she’d mean it. When Aria apologized for her, Serenity turned away holding in a growl. In any other situation she’d be damned if someone spoke for her or about her as if she wasn’t present.
With a heavy sigh Serenity stood, walking back over to the Princess bowing her head low. I apologize for my rudeness. Clearly this is a new post for me, and I have a lot to learn. Her voice was hard, and mechanic, but it was the most Aria would get from here. This job was already proving to be more pain than it may be worth. Serenity swore, if Aria’s plan failed, Serenity would find a way to wring her short neck somehow, even if only for a moment before being thrown on her ass, it would be worth it.
