That was a low blow considering she lacked the knowledge under the circumstances in which Core was taken from her. Arias sharp hearing did not fail to pick up the muttered insult. However it was bait she was not taking at the moment, instead she turned her focus onto something else. She rolled her head to give Garrett a dry look….picking up a piece of soggy bread with her spoon she halfheartedly launched it at his forehead. Before sticking her tongue out playfully at him. Really revealing both their names and not his own…she was quite enjoying seeing how long she could go without mentioning it.
”Mine dearest, your ruining my fun”
Though name revealing aside, Aria was glad to have brought him. She figured there might have been a chance he knew her. A familiar face would be comforting. Aria turned to look back at the woman her ear out for any retaliation from Garrett. It did not take the woman long to react to Garrett revealing his face….a big smirk spreading across her face when she blurted out his name. Aria turned that smirk towards Garrett.
”HA! She said yours.”
Settling down Aria turned back towards Kaylia, at least it was confirmed she was willing to aim for the same goal. That and she was quick enough that Aria didn’t need to spell it out. Less that was said out loud the better. Even if they were in a room protected by her spells.
”There is hope for this time; it is but a flicker at the moment…but it’s there. Like you I do not want to see more bloodshed, or more families ripped apart. If there is a path in which we can take that will spare more lives I will take it. I need others who are willing and capable to do the same.”
She had already tried to take that route once….with varying success rates.
”On a more personal note, I would like to get to know you Kaylia. I have been told interesting tales about you and your group. Enough that I fully agree with Mistero, I would rather have you on our side, then not. In exchange I will be more open with your questions regarding me considering Mine, just ruined all my fun and you already seem to know him.”

As Aria speaks a piece of paper floats down into her lap. The note reads: Hey Boss, looks like you've got someone who might actually want to do some leading of this band. I am resigning my post as third and am gonna take the role of a belligerent and disobedient rank and file. Get in contact with me when you've cooled down and want to talk. Also if you are going to keep ignoring me let me know.

There it was, the look he had dreaded, she had recognized him. Not as the Guard Captian, not as Garrett, but as the person he had longed forgotten. The sudden gleam in her eyes confirmed his fears when the first name rolled off her tongue. Kaden. The name unfamiliar to him, however, the next name that left her lips didn't reach his ears for some odd reason. What was that? Garrett thought, his eye staring right back at the woman and all he could see was her lips move.
Garrett became still, Aria's comment about ruining her fun sounded distorted and muffled. His blue eye widening as he suddenly felt sick and light headed. Fear slowly creeping over him as flashes of random memories came flooding to the forefront of his mind. His skin dropping in color as he slowly forced his eye closed. Each memory becoming more intense as the name he couldn't hear before finally came back to him like a wave hitting a wall. The soggy bread Aria had flung at him slapped againsts his forehead, then flopped down on the table with a soggy slap.
" I... I haven't heard that name in a long time." He spoke softly, his voice sounding a little different as he slowly opened his eyes to look down at the bread piece that had left a spot on his forehead still some what moist. " Really? " garrett sighed, the blue hue in hid eyes less vibrant than they were before as he shot Aria a scowled look before getting up from the table. He had not noticed the letter that appeared in Aria's lap at the moment he walked behind the red head. His hand lightly patting her head as he walked around.
"Sense when did you start calling me by that name?" He muttered quietly to himself as he walked towards the door, only to stop half way there and glance back over his shoulder at Kaylia and Aria. " I will be making my leave here shortly. I have business else where that I must attend to while I'm out and about. I'm sure I can leave you two ladies alone now that the tension in the air is settled a bit. " he spoke with a bit of jest in his tone towards the end of his comment. His attention turning to Aria, his brow raised. He smiled lightly, playfully rubbing the spot where the bread had stuck to his head earlier. " Well sense I ruined your fun, do you have anything you want me to accomplish while you have my attention?" He smirked, playing the role of subordinate while in the presence of kaylia.

The last time she had seen him was that fateful morning at the start of the war. She was with the other theives scouting on the rooftops, and Garrett was at the front lines to meet the invading troops on Noku's command. No longer the small child atop the giant warhorse, that child had grown up. She could tell he had been through terrible things in the time between then and now, he wore it on his face. To her what had been a matter of weeks was years to him.
Kaylia took the few steps between them and stared up at him, bringing her hand softly to his cheek. A soft smile formed on her face, as her orange eyes regained some of their warmth "You've grown up." She took a step back to give him space noticing the change in his complexion as his skin paled, almost as if he was at war with himself. "Would you prefer I call you something else Mistero?"
She turned her attention to Aria, she still did not know what to make of her. It will take some time getting used to. All these people see her as some sort of leader, honestly she acts like more of a child than an adult. Kaylia closed her eyes, took a deep breath and exhaled contemplating how to word what she'll say next.
"Alright.....whatever you need I will help. On one condition, that I am regarded more of a member at large with your Thieves, an ancillary over a subordinate. Although you know individuals from my past, I barely know anything about you. I'm not one to blindly follow just anyone. I'll provide any support that I can and if you've heard stories as you say then you should know I'm pretty sharp with a bow." Her eyes had lost the bit of warmth shown earlier and were more intense as she laid out her decision.
A bow.... I left my crossbow on the rooftop before the fight. I will need to acquire one and soon.
