Seeing that what he was doing was working. Kail stops and then sits down across from Iris "Well....what I used was not a full spell persay. I just had added help from these fire gems on these bracelets here" the blond said as he showed what was on his wrists. As there were two fire colored gems one on each of the bracelets. "What I did was a massage and I just applied a bit of heat to ease the muscles there to stop the pain. Forgive the long winded explanation" he said and then though about stop doubting himself. That was something hard as there was a lot of things that did make him question on what he should do. "Anyway.....do you want to head down to my residence? I don't have much there since I live out of my workshop. But it is a bit more cozy and I have at least something you can rest on if you need some sleep" Kail said as he offered to take Iris back to his place. Since he was not sure if the tavern had doubled as a inn or if there was one that was near by. It seemed for him that he might need to look into having his own home as he now had the money. But he did miss that farm house that he had though.
There was a tinge of anger though as that thought came up as he lost all of the original friends that he had around. Were now gone it had pissed him off, but at the same time he was powerless. Kail stopped there as that one thing would have consumed all of the pleasant things that were going on now. He at least had a place to call home right now though and it was rough going. But it would improve a lot though.

When Kail moved away from her the spell shattered and her eyes flew open in time to see him sit down in front of her again. Without hesitance she picked up the cup that he had previously refilled for her, and downed it again, not having the right restraint for it this time. Fire gems... Interesting. I have never witness such a thing. A massage... You must do that for me again another time. She looked up at him, completely calm and innocent, meaning nothing other than the words she'd spoken, though it could be taken as such.
Iris leaned forward onto the table, contemplating his words while looking at him thoughtfully for a moment. Return with him to his home? At first she was skeptical, but upon remembering she had no home the offer was quite compelling. If it would be no burden to you, I will gladly accept your offer Killian. Thank you very much. Iris leaned across the table, picking his hands up in her own and squeezing them lightly in thanks. She was not used to such kindness from a total stranger, but she would be damned if it went un-thanked. After a moment she released his hands, a small blush creeping up her face. In her world such an exchange would be normal, but here it could be so much different, and she hadn't a clue in the world.
Iris cleared her throat, pushing her chair away from the table with a scratching noise. Thank you Killian, for the drinks and the answers. She looked at him boldly, willing the pink in her face to go down.

Kail chuckled a bit at the request for another massage some time later. He did see the slight blush coming from the woman and he sighed mentally since he charmed another lady. This was not something he wanted right now since he was not ready for. As he was far from stable or the situation that they were in. Since the blond wanting a more stable area and a less volitile situation with the Nova. It did not seem that Iris was not going to be a friend with benifets. The hears and feels Iris as she thanks him for the offer of staying at his residents. "No its no trouble for me, but I need to get a better home. Then living out of my workshop. Anyway lets get going though to my place though" he said getting up. Kail then sees Iris getting up from the table and he walks over to the bar countertop and places the amount of money for the bottle of wine. He then motions with his hand for Iris to follow him. Since his place was not too far away from the Drunken Kray tavern.
"My workshop has a forge, a alchemy laboritory, and some magic related stuff for research" said Kail as they started heading to the Arcane Cross. His home/lair since he had not had the chance to look around for other properties or other homes that were available to him. But since he was greeting a lot of the fated and was offering his home for the night or a few days. "You can see some of the things I have made" he said and then sees his place in the distance.

A home is a home regarldess of size... my mother used to say that. I'm sure it's lovely. Iris smiled, following him when he motioned her to, staying behind him just slightly while looking around them. Wherever she was it was pretty. People still gave her odd glances, but she no longer cares. She'd found a guide and that was all she needed. From behind, she let her eyes wander just slightly, taking a closer look at his figure; tall, well formed, and beautiful hair. Iris cocked an eyebrow and looked away, a sly smile hiding on her lips.
That sounds quite interesting! So you've found a purpose here then? Since being here I mean. You know what you're doing. Thats good. Her words were a bit muddled as the message she wanted to give him was more complicated than that, but her tongue got twisted. She was normally much more well spoke, and she found this odd. She blamed the transition of worlds.
Perhaps someday you will forge me a weapon. Mine is getting old. SHe laughed before remembering she'd left her trusty sword in a tavern where she'd been staying before being ripped from her world. Her laugh died out and she frowned for a moment, rather bothered by the realization.

"True I guess its more Spartain then comfort.....before coming here. I had a farmhouse that I got from doing a job request. It ended up with me and a few other warrior women took down a juvinile dragon. But due to certain events by a witch of a woman I had to vacate it and seek safety here. I will eventually return there if things get settled in the city" said Kail as they approached the Arcane Cross. He unlocked the door with his key and opened the door and walked in then holding it open for Iris. On the inside was a normal store front with several shelves and then a desk and counter space and then a door to further back into the place. Once Iris was in, Kail would walk to that other door and walk into it and there would be some light coming off of the forge as the coals were still pretty warm. As he walked a long he tapped a few crystal like objects and there was some more light in the room. In the far back was a living area where a massive couch and several comfortable chairs. Not to far away from there was a kitchen area.
In another area was the alchemy and magic areas and a few work tables. There was a armor stand of a black hide armor and several weapons in a case. "Take a seat wherever you like, or layout on the couch there. I do have a question for your kind and centaurs. Do you all feast on grains, vegitables, and fruits for the most parts and no meat? Or are you able to have any at all? I've been very curious on that, since I will be preparing most of the meals if your sticking around for awhile" said Kail as he went to a small box to get something out of it.

Iris looked at him curiously, A witch? I've never heard of such a term. What has she done to deserve the title? Why were you forced into hiding? For reasons she did not yet know Iris was a bit angered. This new world seemed about as troubled as her own. When they entered his home, Iris looked around in awe; Kail hadn't been kidding, he really did make such things on his own. It's decided. Some day I would like a weapon by your hand, no matter the cost... some day. Iris rubbed the back of her head nervously, knowing it would be a while before she could afford that.
When they entered the other room, Iris sat on the couch, though she very much wanted to sprawl on it-- She'd never been on something so cushiony! She bounced on it a few times enjoying the soft feeling on her fur. It was very different than what she was accustomed too, and far better than the ground under a tree. Iris unpinned her hair from it's half updo while Kail asked his question, letting the brown/gold locks to fall free around her face and down her back, no doubt knotted beyond repair in that moment.
Well, generally Satyr's don't eat meat, including fish, but its a preference of our kind, being raised in the forest. We do not enjoy the hunt would be a good way to put it. It sounded odd, as she herself enjoyed the accomplishment of fighting a battle for what she believed in, but she categorized that in a different way entirely. To be honest, I've never personally met a centaur, so I can't speak for certain, but my father once said they eat meat, as they enjoy the feast as much as the hunt itself. Iris yawned after that, raising her arms above her head again, one hand grasping the other wrist, stretching her abdomen and arms tightly. When she released it with a huff of breath, her arms fell in her lap with a small thud.
Your home is lovely Killian, as I had guessed. It may not seem like much to you... but from someone you lived in a forest most of her life, this is beautiful. Iris looked over at him smiling, when a though crossed her mind, How old are you anyhow?

"Well....there was a event several months ago. This woman was going to try and kill all of us fated in a act of genocide. If it were not for the group of people I was with. The majority of Fated would have perished and be sent to whatever version of the River of Styx this world has" said Kail in what he hoped was a good equivelient to somethings Iris would know in her world. When he heard about the sword or weapon he had to have a good laugh. "Perhaps we can work something out if you needed a weapon made and you have no money to use" he said and this would be the second or third time someone asked him to make a weapon for them. Oddly all of the requests were all female, perhaps it was a bit of irony on his part. Then Iris went into the diet of both races and he gave a nod of his head. "Thanks for answering that question, thats going to help me out a bit when I make meals around here" he said and then pulled out a pitcher of ice cold water and then two cups he made out of some porcelen clay.
"That is true if you have lived out in the wilds like that. I might be 19 now....I think, the time and place I was pulled from has caused me to get my sense of time off. Anyway I am but a mear baby compared to the other races within Nova though" he said and then placed the pitcher down as well as the cups. Kail took a seat across from Iris and poured her a glass of water. "I need to get outside of Gallows Bane for some materials for my shop soon. Perhaps if you come with me, I can show you a bit more of this worldhe said and then sat back in his chair.

Iris looked down into her lap, processing what he was telling her. There was someone out there assassinating those who had no choice but to live in this world? What type of logic was that? A part of her brain made it sound logical, as though the Fated were regular pesky bugs that one took no mind in swatting to rid yourself of them. When Kail made reference to the forgetting river, Iris look up at him stunned yet again. Her world seemed quite knowledgeable to him. It was odd for her.
No it’s fine. Until I have way of payment, don’t waste your materials. But thank you Killian. Iris smiled and leaned back on the couch stretching her legs out in front of her. They were sore, and stuck out in contrast to the room around her, dark brown fur against tanned skin. She accepted the drink from him with a nod, sipping on it so as not to make her teeth tingle with the cold drink. When he spoke his age she nearly choked on her water. She’d forgotten humans aged differently.
19 huh. Yes, a baby indeed. Iris blushed, her own age young in her race, but ancient in his. I am -ahem- 105. She looked down into her cup, a wobbly reflection of her dirty face looking back at her. She lifted her hand and wiped away some dirt off of her cheek.
Yes, I would love to accompany you if it would be no bother. I am curious of this world now that it seems I will be living here… Iris sighed. It didn’t bother her that she couldn’t go home- she had no ties there. But some of her belongings would need to be replaced eventually.
So you live alone here? What of your friends?

Kail nods his head at her insisting on getting some money for him to make the weapon. He then has a laugh on the matter that he was younger then her by 80 to 90 years. Kail gave a gestament to Iris's age to be about 25 years old in human years he guessed. But did not say it out right since he did not know if that would have been rude. Seeing that she was moving some dirt off of her face. The blond figured that maybe going to the springs would be a wise idea. "I can show you what I can but I don't know if you would be welcomed in the main city. But I will take you to some of the natural things that are closer to Gallows Bane at least. These are some things that are pretty wonderious. I have not had a adventure in quite awhile though" said the blond as he poured himself a glass of water. When Iris asked him about friends and if he lived alone, it was kind of a question that hit him hard. As some of the friends that he had over a course of his adventures in Nova. Had either scattered or vanished from the face of this world.
"I live on my own, either by choice or whatever other word you would like to use instead of fate. Most of the friends I had, have vanished in some way or form. Some were due to that event I discribed a few minutes ago, others well.....when I am infuriated I tend to snap hard and say some rather mean things. Perhaps that I am still immature for this world or some people around me. I somehow got use to this sort of situation" he said explaining about that situation he had around him. It seemed a tad depressing but it seemed that Kail was pushing through the trials that whatever being had placed in front of the young man.

Iris beamed at him. Anywhere you take me works, I just want to see more of this world! Iris was simply pleased that her luck had driven this man to her. He seemed to have all the answers she needed, and was nice to her as well. Without him she would still be near the tree, wondering why on her fate had taken her from Rome.
When Kail explained about his friend, Iris’s smile faded, and she looked at him solemnly. I’m very sorry to hear about that… But Killian, I’m sure, one way or another, your friends will return to you. Even if you said regrettable things, a cruel world as a way of making people forgive. When in the face of consistent trouble, one values their friends, over the things they may have said. Though it would be good to be more careful. Iris smiled softly, just trying to cheer him up a bit.
Do any of said friend live near by? Keeping to yourself in your home, though safe, can damper on your health… Iris sipped her water, letting the implication that he should visit his friends if given the chance, linger in the air.
