Arrival from the past

In a mere blink of her eyes she was back to herself but when she reopened her eyes she was not in the place that she was in just in. in that moment everything around her had changed. This was not the same Nova that she had been for years before, and was not the battle stricken land that she was battling in for her King (and love), If this really was still Nova that she was just in. There were houses and buildings built up  around this open square of what seemed like cobble on the ground..

"What is this place? Where have I gone?" She spoke to herself as she looked around this new world. Her blade still unsheathed at her side as she started to take smalls steps around the square. Nothing look familiar to her.

It’s been a long two days flying back to Bane but Nyx couldn’t have felt better to return to a place that was the closest to feeling like home. Sadly she didn’t know that she was followed the way but having been used to flying around and most people ignoring her when she is in the sky. Quickly running into Kail’s home that she been using as her temporary home, she changed into clothes from her time, her short pink mini skirt and her black halter top and her lab coat. It felt good for her to be back in her normal clothes once again, making sure that she had her staff with her.


Walking around, she smiled at the few people who she come to see at Bane. She didn’t notice that she was walking towards the place that she first appeared in Nova. Looking at the lake, she smiled remembering how she first came to this world almost getting into a fight with Kail and might have ended up killing the only friend she might have made in this world so far.


Coming out of her memories she saw a woman up ahead in clothes that she remember from her own world. Being careful not sure if she was new to this world, and if so where she came from. Standing in front of her just two feet away. “Good Afternoon. Welcome to Gallow Bane.” Her voice loud yet still soft enough to not seem like she was yelling. “Can I help you with anything, Young Miss.”

Rena stepped back as the woman spoke to her. Glancing up and down at this woman with clothes similar to hers,though she still did not seem it safe enough for her to sheath her blade.

"What is this place? What happened to Nova?" she said as she continued to look around and back at the woman in front of her.

The questions that she asked made Nyx do a double take on the woman’s clothes. From head to toe, she does look and dress like the people from her world but she did ask about Nova. Thinking back to what she found out and with Kail’s theory on her own world since the Gods of Nova maybe this woman was from another version of Nova.


“Well this place is a safe haven for people like us. As for Nova, it is here in this world but maybe not as you know it.” Sighing inward wishing Kail was here since from what she could tell he been doing this a while now explaining the whole Fate dragging people to this world for something. “I’ll do my best to explain all that I know. Do you want to head to a bar, uh tavern to get something to eat.”

Rena looked around at the world that was around her as the woman spoke. 'This is Nova?' She thought in her mind, she needed to find out what had happened to her and figure out if there was a way home...But of what she knew of magic and other things not of this world that it would be impossible for her to go back.

"I will trust you for the time being child, and hear what you have to say..I do however have some questions that I need answered as well." She spoke as she sheathed her sword behind her. " after you child" as she gesture for the woman to lead the way. She was still unsure if this was some sort of trap, but in a world that she is unfamiliar she has had no choice but to trust her.

Nyx remains calm even after being called a child by someone who could be her peer in the academy. “I will be more than happy to answer any question you may have on the note that you still calling me a child and call me by name which is Nyx by the way.” Moving her staff from her hand, she quickly did up the straps placing it on her back leaving her hands free.


Walking down the road, Nyx took small notes that everyone here either have adopted the clothing style of this world or wore those from they own worlds. To her it was like a culture fair seeing all these different people living and interacting with each other, it only made her wonder if the new girl was from that was similar to this Nova but closer to her world. Reaching the tavern she pushed open the doors.


It was fairly busy than again it was almost midday, giving a small wave to the few people she come to know she chooses an empty table close to the window yet a little away from most of the table. Giving a small hand gesture for the woman to take the seat across from her, she folded her hands on the table. “I’ll tell as much as I know. You can think of this world as a parallel to your own Nova. You might see people similar to the ones you know but they are not the same as you knew in your world.” Placing her finger on her lips to think of an example of this. “Hm… Take the King of Nova in this world I believe his name is Noku he might be the king in your world but not the same person you once knew.” She said doing her best to explain the difference one might face if they came from another version of this world.

Following the woman down the street she took notice to all the buildings that looked fairly familiar, least the older ones did, only the ones that seemed to have remained standing... She was still puzzled at how all the people in this part of town didn't even bother to stare at the stranger walking through their town. If was always interesting and rare to see strange people walking through her Nova, but given how she got here it wasn't that hard to believe that people seem to be accustom to it by now.

Taking a step into the tavern and how busy it was she tried to avoid eye contact with other people. She didn't really feel the need to want to explain herself to a million people today. Knowing what she had just gone through was enough for her, but she really wanted some more information before she spoke with anyone else. Taking a seat across from the woman she did her best to block out all the noise that normal taverns have. She crossed her arms in front of her as Nyx spoke.

After taking a few minutes to take in what Nyx spoke of she was a little more or less confused as to why she was brought here. "so you mean to tell me that MY king Noku is not the same ruler that is the king here....but they both share the same name and look the same? So how can they not be the same? What is the reason for me being taking from the middle of battle to this Nova?"

Nyx watched the girl’s expression ash she told her the little she knew about this world so far. Her was a little in shock that she called King Noku her king, if she didn’t know better she would have sworn that she loved the king. “Well think of it this way. The events that happened in your world that made Noku the person he is in your world might not have happened in the same way in this world.” Taking a deep breath.



“Like take my own world. In my world the God’s rule the different kingdoms. In this world they still God’s but they don’t rule any kingdoms.” Looking at the people in the bar no one paid them mind having been used to seeing strangers all the time. “As for the reason for you being taken from the middle of a battle I am not sure. But I do share your feelings of being taken away from a battle.” Thinking of how she got to Nova and being taken from her sister during an attack it was unfair and still she have not been see her family.



Sighing she turned to look back at the people all around them wondering how her family was doing and if her father could see her in this world. “Maybe you been called here because you have a more important mission but no one seems to know.” She said softly, as a few tears started to well up in her eyes. Quickly blinking them away knowing that she is not allow to show weakness. “Any other questions or do you want to get some food first.”
