Out of the corner of her eye, Tres noticed Aria's face twitch with frustration. She could not agree more. His ego clouded everything that she was saying. He really didn't understand what she had said to him. When he told her to smack him, she almost succumbed to her temptation. However, she remained calm, cool and for the most part collected.
Her eyes tightened to slits, and she looked at him with distrust. "Whatever implications you have found in my speech are exactly those. Implications. What you claim, is not necessarily true to my thoughts." Tres took a few steps back from the Paladin. "And now that you've accepted my help, understand this. You will not put words in my mouth, or alternative meaning into what I say." her tone was harsh, but what she felt was necessary. She knew that if he continued speaking to others the way he spoke to her now, he would get knocked down a few pegs, quite literally.
"So go ahead, be mad at me all you want. The reason I said what said, was because of this." suddenly the pendant around her neck would begin to have a charmed glow. The glow would overwhelm her body, then would die down to reveal her wings. To reveal her past. "I was made by a God, to serve a God. That was my purpose." she scowled at the Paladin.
"You may be from another world, and yes I do understand that I am unaware of the sacrifices that may unfold in other worlds... But you do not even have the slightest knowledge of the sacrifice that comes with being tied to a deity in this world." Tres' gaze was firm. She knew what she meant when she spoke of sacrifice. "I may not know your sacrifice, but you also don't know mine. So I suggest you bite your tongue before you run your mouth like that again."
Tres began to think and was taken aback further by what the Paladin spat out. Only a few of the Gods hold integrity? 'This boy better watch what he says.' she thought to herself. When he spoke of the Pantheon, he spoke as if he were looking down upon this world. As if he were too good for most of the Gods. They were unsuitable for him, or not quite his acquired taste. Tres really had to fight her urges now.
Tres couldn't help but not trust Dante. His words were so controversial, and very hypocritical. He appears to think of himself as a well-deserving man, but what he is really deserving of is a quick slap of reality. This world's reality for that matter. He would need to work hard to learn, and the way he's gonna learn, is the hard way.
Tres looked to Aria, still holding a firm gaze. "Yeah, I really hope for his sake, that we are not being listened to by the Gods..." Tres let out a heavy sigh, grabbed hold of her pendant to mask her wings again.
