Sai was just walking around the area looking at the different houses, it had become a fantasizing to her to watch the nobles move around now that she played one before on a few occasions. Some of them had more influence than they knew what to do with but some were a just airhead to her mostly the females that she had encountered caring about parties, landing the perfect husband to elevate their status. It was sickening to her and some of the things she has seen them do or had her to do for them to make sure that no one else got in their way if it wasn't for the money and her joying of killing she would have walked away from the job right away. As she kept walking she did notice that she was getting a few strange stares then again how she was dressed and what she was spinning in her hand did look oddly out of place after all. She was currently in a white long flowing strapless dress with a large slit on the left going almost right up to her waist, around the middle were layered fabric of different blue hues until it looked almost black, on the third layer there is a small train that goes down behind her only to her knees. With simple black five inch heels that gave her a little bit more height not that she needed it. The noble who had it made for her liked to see her showing off her legs and chest and thought it was funny to have his lady killer dressed up all pretty like. Not wanting to get any more strange looks she turned tail and head down towards the second district needing a good drink and right now the Bloody Mary seemed like a nice place. -------- Once she was at the Bloody Mary she pushed open the door still she stood out among everyone but at this point she didn't care as long as none of them tried to talk to her about emotions she would be fine. Every since the mission in the ruined temple she been starting to feel things that she didn't normally feel and it was causing confusion within her soul and no amount of drinking so far has put those new emotions out of her system. Cross over to the bar she placed her dagger into the counter before flagging down the bartender and asking for the strongest drink they have before turning leant back against the bar to face the other patrons glaring at anyone who dear try to approach her. Ker would head back out if it weren’t for her weariness from travel. The day has been a long one, and she could use some rest. The idea of heading back out to look for another inn is completely unappealing even if she’s likely to still be exhausted come morning. There’s too many mortals being too loud for her liking. It probably wouldn’t be better anywhere else though.
She takes a seat at the counter of the bar and orders a glass of wine for herself. She attracts almost no notice as she slowly sips at her drink. The same could not be said for the woman who walks into the bar after her. It’s an outfit that attracts quite a bit of attention, and even piques Ker’s curiosity for a moment. However, a look into the other woman’s aura reveals nothing besides the usual mortal.
Returning her attention back to her glass, Ker stares into the deep red liquid as the other woman orders a drink and glares everyone else down. “How paradoxical… Do peacocks get annoyed when others gaze at their plumage? However, even they would have more substance to their complaints since they have no choice over the extravagance of their feathers.”
She’s not looking for an answer and talks long sip at her wine. Perhaps, the demon should give up on mortals making any kind of sense.

Jose had just wrapped up his tour of the castle, a fellow guardsman relieving him of his shift and he made his way back to the barracks. Changing from the Royal Guard's gear he suited up in some plain black and brown leather attire. The tunic he bore ranged from a light to dark brown with pleated shoulders and lacing upon both arms from wrist to elbow and had some along the side to be adjusted to any size. Onyx straps crossed his chest that held little pouches for various items; included was his standard copper cigarette case, small metal flute and silver flask filled with a very potent brew. A belt was attached with silver buckles and holsters to carry his two shorthand blades and his soft leather trousers had a hidden compartment within for a small set of throwing knives his father had recently gifted him for the midwinter festival. His deep auburn eyes scanned over his bow and quiver, deciding if he should take it or not. Not that Jose was expecting any sort of trouble but it was his weapon of choice...considering he wanted to relax at the local bar however he decided against it, feeling confident in his ways evermore.
Jose shoved his long strands of hair out his face and padded out the room and headed for the tavern.
------------------------
He had arrived a half hour so before a woman in a striking gown would make her apperance and was making a game with some of the local patrons out of his new throwing knives. They set out a target and moved varying distances away, trying to see whom had the best aim and if you missed you drank. Not to Jose's suprised he held excellent aim and never missed, and soon his "pals" were off their rockers and to his ultimate displeasure he was stark sober. He called the game and took a spot in a booth with his back to the wall but eyes towards the door and he order a strong glass of rum that he covertly spiced with his own concotion from his flask.
When the well dressed lady entered his eyes zeroed in on her exposed flesh with a playful grin but he kept his glances undetected. As much as he appreciated the female form he knew from years of experience many did not take kindly to open gawking. Her glares underlined such a thing but swiftly his glass was drained and he took this as an opportunity to approach the bar but not the woman herself. He stood a person down from her and ordered another drink, resting upon the bar.
A large grin played at his lips as he heard what the woman beside him said to the revealing lady, and a small laugh fell from his lips. He wanted to interject but awaited to see if the other lady would have anything to say and if he needed to come between the two incase of a scuffle.

Sai got her drink and continued to glare at the men who were brave enough to look her way. Being thankful that no one approached her giving her time to relax and enjoy her drink of wine. It wasn't the drink that she had wanted but it seemed like the young man at the bar was trying to flirt with her.
Closing her eyes she as she started to enjoy her drink when it was distributed by a voice of a woman who was more monotone than she saw. Turning her head to look at the woman she noticed that she had her hood up and seem to be enjoying her wine. Taking a sip of her own voice adding more to the nonexistent conversation that was happening. "Maybe the peacock is waiting for the rat to come out and play. After all playing with other like minded peacocks is boring after all."

Ker’s eyes flick up from the glass to the man who comes to join them. It appears not even the more wrath-filled glares could keep some men away from a woman in an elegant dress. She shakes her head before looking back over to the mortal woman.
“I could agree that elegant birds are vapid once they are plucked free of distracting feathers. Rats at least have some intelligence even if they are unwanted.”
Perhaps, she jumped to quickly to the conclusion that this one was as boring as the rest. She can appreciate the like-mindedness and the fact that the other woman was keeping most of the patrons at a distance. All the rowdiness was concentrated to the opposite side of the room, and so Ker has some vested interest in keeping the other around.
“Also, the bartender must think you are extremely delicate to give you wine in place of a stiff drink. But you seem less likely nobility and more a woman who has seen combat, which makes this entire situation even more peculiar.”
She swirls the glass of wine in her hand, looking at the young man who has chosen to observe the two of them.
“Perhaps, you can stop eavesdropping and make yourself more useful? Get the sellsword what she ordered.”

Their exchange of words intrigued the man as he took a long gulp from his mug. The liquid burned nicely down his throat and he turned to face the women once he was outted for his listening in. He was unabashed and took their glares and words with grace. The hooded woman was fierce and it only elicited a large grin from Jose, unperturbed by her attitude.
" If the peacock would like to truly wet its beak, I do hold a concoction far stronger than anything you would find here. But let's not run this place out of business hmm?" He flags the bartender down for a glass of bourbon and slides it over to the well dressed lady, a wiry grin in place. He pulls out his flask slighty, the silver catching the firelight's glow, a silent offering to the both of them.
" Do forgive my intrusion, you both make quite the sight and sounds together. It's not often you find such words of intellectual exchange in a place like this. The coo of these pigeons can drive one to the ledge, perhaps more rats are needed to take out their insufferable droll."

Sai bearly paid much attention to the man that had decided to join them at the bar after all as long as he wasn't going to be on of those fools to try and bite off more than eh could chew. Swishing the wine in the glass she stared down at it wishing that it truly was something a bit stronger cause she didn't know what she was going to do with this light weight. "That is true after all. Sadly not all birds are created the same some are as intelligence as the rats that hide away in the dark."
Taking a look down at her glass she agreed with the woman. "Either that or he believes that by buttering me up with wine I would offer him something more than money. I guess you saw through the dress better than most people around here." Placing her glass on the counter to turn and look out at the people that were acting like they have no manners whats so ever it was entertaining but it soon it would become more mindless human fun once again then maybe she could mess with those human's minds.
Finally turning to look at the man seated not that from them, he was good looking for sure but he wasn't much of her type. She only hoped that he could keep her entertained for some time. It seems like he did more provide her with much-needed entertainment he got her the drink she wanted mostly in part of the hooded woman.
Grabbing the glass she took only a sip it was stronger but still, it wasn't what she was seeking. Sliding the glass back down towards the man accepting his silent offer. "Well, sometimes one has to be around the pigeons to learn information that slips from the beaks. Plus..." Raising her eyebrow as she moved to take her dagger out of the counter she threw it towards a group of men in the back watching as it flew and landed with precision missing one of the men by a millimeter. "Sometimes they reactions are fun watching the feathers fluff up."

Ker tilts her head slightly at the comment about others not seeing through the woman’s guise. The other’s posture and build looked far more similar to a member of the guard than a noble house. Most people must be painfully oblivious. Either that, or their assessments of people didn’t go beyond the clothes one wore.
“I would think it obvious. Most noblewomen don’t train with any form of weaponry, but you look as if you could carry a sword or pull back a bow if need be.”
Ker looks at the male curiously as if she didn’t quite expect him to buy a drink. It is often someone listens without question. However, she finds herself nodding to his words and taking another sip of her own drink.
“I wouldn’t quite call this intellectual discourse so much as simple observation. However, I suppose even that exceeds the capabilities of others present.” She gives a slight shrug regarding the woman’s words about information. Ker’s certainly needed to question others in the past. It’s always been an aggravating experience. Maybe the other had a better way of conducting investigations, but Ker suspects she’d probably feel similarly.
“I can see their value in providing useful information. Yet, more often than not, they have nothing to provide.”

Jose shrugged off her sort of rejection, grabbing the drink for himself and handed off his flask to her. He gulped deeply from the bourbon, draining half of what was left before placing it back against the counter. He then slipped out his cigarette case and slipped one in between his plush lips, striking a match he lit up and huffed. Feeling playful he pursed his mouth and created series of smoke rings, each one smaller than the last, each one slipping inside the centre of the last before fading away to the wind.
He smiled around his cigarette and yielded to the silver haired woman's words, quirking an eyebrow at her dagger wielding. What fun and chance, he had just been making a sport of such a skill with said pigeons and her another wielder had arrived. He doubted she was the sort for games however, but made a note of it for later if he ever wished for a worthy opponent. Jose listened as the woman with the darker disposition also commented upon the droll of the common drunks and found merit within both sides.
"I suppose it comes down to shaking down the prize pigeon, as it were, and that can take a good eye to find. You both seem well equipped however. " He huffed again on his smoke, this time making little clouds instead of rings, blowing them to the ceiling so as to not disturb anyone with his own habits.
" Do you ladies come here for information as you're so keen to discuss, or just a moment of respite? "
