"Brazen?" Séanait asked, "Oh, that wasn't brazen. Brazen would be telling you that," She leaned in and whispered in his ear, "I want to fuck your brains out."
The next part of Séanait's plan for messing with the white haired man had to be calculated perfectly. She needed to get just the right tone of voice and distance between their bodies so that the man was still interested in her, but not so much that he wouldn't take no for an answer. Séanait quickly estimated those two things and pulled her body away for Diamond's as she delivered the punchline.
"I don't, by the way, so I suppose I'm only half brazen."
They danced some more and the tall man talked a bit about himself and how he'd come to Nova. It was interesting, Séanait thought, that the man wasn't a fated. He looked like one, with his white hair and unusual dress, but she supposed she'd only seen a small sampling of peoples and fashions in Nova. It was nice, however, to meet a fellow mercenary.
"We seem to be in the same line of work. Before I got dragged into this world, I fought for coin too."
Finally, the man introduced himself. It was an odd name, without any sort of linguistic heritage that she could make out. Maybe it was cultural?
" I'm Séanait, though most just call me Shy. It's a pleasure to meet you, Diamond."

Diamond just raised an eyebrow when the redhead whispered into his ear. That got his attention in a big way but smirked slightly. This lady was firery and it seemed that she was going to be even more so. Since she was really playing with him now. He had to chuckle at this though. "Ah you seem confused by my name? Lets just say before a mercenary company. I had no name or family to speak of. Most of the members of this company have either thrown there names away. Or like myself abandoned or orphaned. Are given names after various gemstones or preasious metals. So most of my life I've known mercenary work" after dancing for awhile Diamond was feeling a bit parched. And needed something to drink.
"So Shy, care for a drink? And also you said you were dragged into this world" the white haired male asked her. Since he did hear of some other worldly travelers. Some rumored to have brought weapons and other things that some had never seen before.

2 days ago The white hood reviewed the scroll over and over calculating each and every detail of what he was going to be paid for. As always he took the mission to get his mind off certain things, and of course the money. Usually his clients didn't meet him face to face but this one did, The man handed him a scroll with the instructions and the money awarded for this job. It was nothing more than a warning to the Royal family basically,The white hood needed to kill any member of the royal family and escape this would serve as a warning from whoever this client was since his clients never gave names and he never asked for them. Sure the mission was big but money was money, he didn't bother asking for any more details or pleasentries he took the scroll and went off to get ready. currently... The venue had been set up rather beautifully as The white hood looked at it from a roof with his foot dangling the lights , guests and everything else seemed amazing, he did his routine check equipment check up before anything was done and as soon as that was set up he tried to walk in through the front gate, The fact that he wore a mask and hoodie made the guards cautious not to mention the fact that he refused to speak but his intention was to see how intense the security was. He gave a slight nod before walking away and patting another party guest on the back, This action left his teleportation symbol on the guest's back who went in through the gates and as soon as he was on the large grounds of the abnormally large royal estate The White Hood activated his teleportation and it teleported him straight to where he placed the symbol. He was standing behind the man and in a matter of seconds he revealed his hidden blade from his sleeve as it slid out smoothly making the same sound a sword would cause from being pulled out of its sheath it was attached to a mechanism under his sleeve which held it in place so he didn't need to handle the blade. It was quickly used it to slit the man's throat. He then hid the man safely and entered through the front doors but not before hiding his sword , bo and arrow and any other large weapon that would draw attention in his personal oblivion. He knew no one would bother him if they knew or atleast thought the guards at the gate had allowed him through plus the fact that he had no visible weapons so he was safe, of course with him covering his face and what not it would be sort of hard to avoid getting odd glares from some of the well dressed people attending the ball they had ball gowns , tuxedos and all sorts of fancy garbs He obviously stood out. He looked at them with envy as they still enjoyed the innocent side of life, they danced ,the ate they shard jokes and he could see multiple couples forming all over the place , some people were even looking for potential wives The white hood would be telling a blunt and obvious lie if he said he missed those days since he couldn't even remember his own real name thanks to those damn gods, the mere thought of them caused his eyes to narrow behind the mask and under the hoodie as he grabbed a glass of some sort of alcohol substance and looked for a nice quiet corner to take off his mask which left only his hoodie as coverage for his face while he drank the substance in his cup his dark hair was quite long and un neat as some sprung out the very moment he took off his mask. This was the part of assassination he liked the most, observation. This was when he had to be patient and look for oppertunities, observe the regualr patrol patterns of the guards and any abnormalities he may use to his advantage.

Ah, so the name was cultural, then. It was odd, she thought, but, then, so were some of the customs developing in the Thusends to any outsider, such as the eating of earth before a battle. She nodded in acknowledgement.
"An interesting custom and, no doubt, a very exciting upbringing."
When Diamond asked if she wanted a drink, Séanait quickly had to decide if she wanted to keep up the teasing or if she should break it off now. Since she really didn't feel inclined to let the teasing go any further than it had already, and knowing what mercenaries were like, she decided that it would be best to end things now and either go find another man to torment or go find Claire and take her up on her offer of a drink. Claire sounded like a nice break.
As the dance ended, Séanait skillfully disengaged herself from Diamond, blew him a kiss and, while melting into the crowd, called out, "Maybe later, Diamond. Maybe later!"
Not seeing Aria or Claire through the crowd as she slipped away from Diamond, Séanait decided to head towards the great pine tree, since Aria had wanted to go there prior to Claire's dragging. Coming closer, Séanait could see that some sort of commotion was going on and, abruptly, came to the edge of a hushed circle within the crowd. In it's centre was Aria and Claire, along with several other people Séanait didn't know. One of them, however, she had seen before, in profile. His face was on every coin she had, and it didn't take much knowledge to know that he was king.
Unsure how much obligation she had to Claire, hardly knowing the woman but liking her and having shared danger with her, so she just waited and watched, looking for something that would tell her what to do.

Sima raised an eyebrow curiously. She was fated was she? His head was briefly filled with many questions. Sima refrained from speaking anything towards the notion that he was not of this world. Sima felt as if that world was dead to him, he didn't want to think that it still existed. Refraining from all thought of it helped ease his transition if only slightly. Sima noticed that Ilta so far was keeping up rather nicely. "Do opposites not attract?" Sima tried to justify her thoughts on passion and control being totally different. "Regardless, your body must show passion, flare, all with controlled, and precise, movements." When she made Sima think of his explanations she only had him second guessing himself. "I'm not really sure how to explain how I figure the balance between passion and control, but both are major elements in dance I'm sure" Sima was not the best teacher, he could only explain things in ways he understood, and he felt like she had no idea of his thought process, and how could she? "What was your homeland like?" Sima was intrigued to hear about it, in fact so much, he was slightly distracted in dance.
Sima realized his mistake by getting distracted, and realized the he should just think faster. Naturally by accident his movements became a little faster although still on time with the music. He didn't realize what he was doing, in fact, he wanted the song to end, and at this point in time he was more aiming towards a simple conversation. Sima did enjoy dancing, but he loved the discussion between people much more, and in fact dancing helped him learn about others more swiftly. He attempted to press his body against hers fully, as was the natural way of the dance. He didn't consider anything about what was going on around him, he was only stuck waiting for her reply. What was her homeland like? Sima loved listening about other peoples lives and histories, and he wasn't sure why.
(I apologize again for how long this took, however, all my christmas/newyears family adventures is over and i should be returning to my regular posting schedule ^^)

Ilta looks at Sima confused as he asks if opposites attract. She initially doesn’t quite get his meaning there. Did he mean things worked well if one dancer was passionate and the other more controlled? Or did he mean that control solicits passion instead of banishes it. She shrugs as he gets more to the point about dance having elements of both. “I suppose you would know more than myself.”
She smiles as he asks about home, but one with a bit of pain. “Well, the climate is colder than here. I lived on the northern part of the continent. It was almost a world onto itself… It is possible to get so far away from the rest of the world that it becomes almost a complete mystery. There was a lot of woods and farmlands. My father worked as a smith since my entire family had a disposition toward Earth magic. I wouldn’t call them mages though. Not nearly enough training. Also, a lot more dragonions than this place though. I get the sense most seem kind of confused by my appearance. Well, I guess the horns aren't that common even for dragonions.” She is silent as she thinks for a few moments. “That about sums it up, I think.” He didn’t need to know the part where it got overrun by Dusk and her family had to make a run for it to the South. However, her shoulder sends a quick stab of pain as her mind wanders.
She looks around the ballroom and spots Alex on the ground, and a ton of familiar faces surrounding her and the king. They were certainly gathering a crowd over there. “Shit… I know the woman on the ground over there. You wouldn’t mind if we saw what was happening, would you? We'll go right back to dancing as soon as I see what is going on.” She lets go of Sima and starts to let and walk over.

Lia looks back at redhead, who she assumes is Aria, and Rivers. Aria didn’t seem in a great deal of danger. Well, except for being known for fainting besides the king. However, King Noku Noru was an imposing person, so he might just have that kind of effect on people. Yet, Rivers seemed more concerned than this being a fainting spell. She nods, “Take care. You should probably see she gets home alright.”
She does instantly go to the drink table, but instead edges toward the scene a bit more to see what was happening. Things certainly felt tense over there. She could see a gentleman about her own age also covered in wine and in possibly cowering from the king. She can fit it together. The boy spilled wine all over himself, the redhead, and the king. From what she saw earlier, the king had a bad temper. This wouldn’t end well. However, all eyes were certainly on Aria at this point. Everyone was looking at her and talking about her. The boy should be making a getaway into the crowd while he could.
Quickly, she moves by the the young noble and drags him into the densest part of the crowd, away from the king and his foul temper. “That was quite a faux pas. You ought to get cleaned up quickly.” She smiles at him, “Are you alright?”

Sima listened to her speaking. He loved the winter, but not so much for it's climate. Sima loved it because it was so beautiful and calm. He was getting the feeling that the cold climate was similar to what he pictured. However, despite being so interested in her story, a word she brought up gave him great grief. "Mages.', when the word came out of her mouth everything after became a blur. Mages? Sima couldn't help but be filled with sorrow, grief, and anger. Mages, he couldn't help but be disgusted with them, it wasn't enough to be angered with every mage he could see, however, his past with mages made it difficult whenever the subject came up. It was because of them he was in this world, and, so alone. Despite this grand social event the truth was that he was a single person alone in this new world called Teair. She let go of his hand, and yet, he didn't notice.
Sima couldn't help but wonder if it was mages that sent him here, then perhaps mages could send him back. Sima shook only for a brief moment as that thought came to mind. This brief moment however felt like a year to him, a year of extreme shocking fear. He had realized that going back would return him to the monster he once was. All the blood that was on his hands, it would not be possible to wash it away. The sacrifices his family had made, he would be reminded of them every single day. This world was the one he was stuck with, having the choice to return to his old world didn't change anything. Sima was sure that his immortal status would return had he been able to return, and then he would be stuck in the endless loop once again.
Sima only snapped out of his trailing fears as Ilta's words finally registered in his mind. Sima was slightly upset as he realized her wording. "You wouldn't mind if we saw what was happening, would you?" Sima didn't want to get personally involved in anything, but with how easily he trusted individuals it was a difficult task for him. If Ilta was hurt he would feel responsible in some way shape or form despite the short conversations they had. This wasn't because she was special, not to say that she is not special, but it was because of how easily Sima became attached to the people he talked to. Sima wanted to ignore what was happening, especially if it considered a friend of Ilta's. Sima sighed, if she had simply said "I" instead of "We" he would feel much better hanging back at the dance floor and waiting.
Sima sighed, not wanting to sound rude. "I would never keep you from seeing a friend," Sima responded, if not a little late of response. "Let's go," Sima had intention to follow her and see what the commotion was. His mind told him to figure out what was going on, and he could learn a lot more using his scent. However, Sima wanted to blend in, and he didn't want to relay information to Ilta if it meant worrying her, or dragging him more into someone else's problems. Sima gripped his nose, almost as if he smelled something bad and was attempting to relieve his nostril from the horrid smell. This however was to keep his nose from scanning the room and learning about more of these attendees, or of the health state of Ilta's friend. Sima was trying to stay un-bias so to speak.

As soon as the White hood saw the bottom of the glass he knew it was time to move,He tucked his long dark hair back into his hoodie and put his mask back on. Of course the contract said any member of the royal family, sadly he only heard the crowd talk about the king. "Wasn't there a less noticible member like one of those royal aunts or uncles that leech on the family or a cousin or anything else of that nature". He thought to himself but then he accepted what was given to him. He still got odd glares from people since he wasn't all dressed up but luckily there had been an even bigger scene by the pine tree.
He entered the crowd and didn't fight its direction as he followed to see what they had all been talking about. There they were, The king was with a female that had appearenlty passed out for some reason. People around the scene seemed to genuinley care about her state, most of them obviously displeased with the situation he figured a sloppy assault would turn the crowd against him. He reached into his oblivion dimension and pulled out three throwing stars, all three were pressed against his palm to give them his teleportation symbol. He threw one of them back into his oblivion dimension and the other two were in his pocket. This was all done under the cover of the crowd since he kept his hands low,To keep from hurting anyone else he had to make this a fast assault he couldn't walk directly to the king through the crowd without being seen as a threat due to his dress code, So he moved away from the crowd but tried to find a nice spot to view everything.
Once far enough he threw one of the throwing stars in the kings direction with nearly perfect aim he waited till it was really close to hitting the king in the arm, and during the space of time where the brain notices an object then decides what to do The white hood had already teleported right to the throwing star. He was near the king but didn't touch the red head female as the star kept going for the kings arm, the White Hood released both hidden blades ready to slash at the white haired man's throat and quickly use his fighting style to temporarily paralyze the first few people that fight him. He wanted to avoid un needed death

When white hood threw his throwing star something unexpected would happen. Instead of hitting the king as he had intended something instead it collided with something that looked like a red bird. The impact would cause the weapon to fall significantly short and would cause the bird to explode in a cloud of red feathers.
A swarm of similar red birds would suddenly dive at the white hood. "GUARDS TO THE KING! Assassin in the ball!" Roland bellows as he sees one of the simulacrum he'd released earlier fulfill it's primary purpose. He gets between Noku and the direction the attack had come from and he opens his senses to check for magic as well.
Roland's glowing amethyst eye burst into light as he begins to draw upon the magical strength he inherited from his mother Caster. He scans for where the birds were gathering and lets loose a crushing force downwards on that location.
As he does a barrier of force is created around Noku Noru and Roland steps very close to the king ready to become a Dova shield if necessary. "Sire, we should leave." he advises.

As soon as the star had hit the red bird The White hood let out a small smile behind his mask and under his hoodie. "Looks like this might be fun, Plan B it is then" His calm but deep voice echoed As the swarm of birds gathered he remembered the third throwing star left in his oblivion dimension, He teleported to it he didn't wait to find out what the birds did and where they come from, in his oblivion dimension he got the chance to take his sword ,mark it with his teleportation symbol the put it in its sheath he teleported back after a few minutes directly infront of Roland in a surprising manner and placed his teleoportation symbol directly on the man's stomach before teleporting away again without a word. The white hood got a lot of amusement from this as he teleported back and used his signature fighting style against 3 guards leaving their legs temporarily paralyzed that dropped them to the floor.
As for Roland who was already marked The white hood sent him a smile before pulling out his marked sword and activated the symbol on the sword , which made the sword instantly teleport to the mark left on Roland's stomach he hadn't put it in a critical place and even though it wouldn't kill the man it would cause a lot of blood loss. "That was a warning shot...get in my way again and I won't be that polite" The White hood spoke with a calm tone as usual before retracting his hidden blades, and clenched his fist. He stood in a defensive stance with his sword. "greetings your highness, I'm sure you understand the obligation I'm under since you make the law and I'm under contract. If its any compensation I used to want to work for the royal family." it was usual for him to casually talk to his targets since he didn't actually have anything against them at all.

Post by Mysteria on Jan 2, 2015 23:49:09 GMT
The ball room quickly fell into a state of shock and silence. If drowning the King in red wine did not cause everyone; plus the entertainment to stop. Then the attempt of assassination did. All eyes both Noble and Poor locked their frightened gaze on the King, Jeon, the assassin and Roland. Blood and wine mixing on the floor.
People were beginning to panic backing away from the tree and the scene that was beginning to take place. The thought of murder in the court and violence within a festive event was suppose to be jolly and carefree; not this. While White Hood was addressing the king; The large caldron's of fire that were scattered through out the ball room suddenly began to die. Light began to become scarce within the room, causing the ball room to become dark for a few moments.
" I must be dreaming… For a moment there I thought that there was actually a threat. "
A woman's voice echoed over the silence of the entire ball room. Almost all eyes turned to see the source of whom had spoken out addressing the Assassin. Mysteria emerged from behind the shadow of the throne. Her movements graceful even within the long flowing black and purple gown she was in. Even her long purple hair was tied up and decorated in knots and twisting braids. A glowing beauty within the dim light of the ball.
With a small smile on her pale features Mysteria made her way down to the tree. Her steps were very elegant, almost as if she was floating as she walked. When she finally made it to Noku, she stopped at the edge of the red puddle. Lavender eyes fixated on the White Hood with a gentle almost misplaced smile considering the situation.
" This is very foolish of you to attempt such a thing. I hope you understand MY obligations to the king and that I can not allow you to touch his royal majesty. "
Mysteria spoke in a very polite manner before turning her head slightly to glance behind her. The fire coming back to life and brightening up the entire room once more.
" Stella, do you mind helping Sir Roland? " Mysteria smiled, while a small little girl stepped out from behind her. The child looked exactly like the woman, except her long hair was pulled back into pigtails. Dressed in a white sun dress and little white matching shoes. The child, Stella, smiled at Mysteria as she moved passed and made her way to Roland.
Once Stella had made it to Roland, she then proceeded to take out a small vile of Lunar Drops. A big grin wrinkling her little dimples as she gave the Bottle to Roland. " Good Job on being a human meat shield Roland." Stella gave a thumbs up, taking a few steps back to look at the White Hood herself. A brow raised as she let out a very loud single laugh. " HA!" Stella giggled, before skipping over to the King and the fainted girl.
" You again?…" Stella sighed, shaking her head at the red-headed girl who was a tiger the last time they met. " Your majesty may I? " Stella asked, drawing her arm back and then swinging it in full force back around to smack Aria in the face. If that didn't wake her up, then oh well.
Meanwhile…. When the White Hood assassin was distracted with the King and Mysteria. Bella, the identical twin of the other child who Mysteria had called Stella had already snuck up behind him. Her syringe already drawn and with little hesitation she placed the tip of the large metal needle up against his back.
" Hello Fate'd sir… I'm Bella.. Please don't move or I will be forced to act accordingly. " The small, adorable child spoke in a soft polite tone warning the White Hood as she pressed the tip of metal gothic looking syringe firmly; just enough to where it would break through the fabric of his attire and metal would be placed against skin… Not enough to draw blood of course.

The White hood raised an eyebrow when the room turned dark he slid his sword back into his sheath and calmly looked forward to where he last saw the king and nowhere else. The darkness made the room feel empty until It was filled with the echo of a voice he wasn't familiar with, when the lights came back on the new female with black and purple had taken Roland's place protecting the king. "That was quite an entrance ma Lady," He bowed his head "you should teach me that someday...As for his Majesty, he seems to be involved in quite a lot of obligations. Its a good way to get yourself killed"
He watched as a young girl came out from behind the new appearence to heal Roland. The man had a sort of aura about him that prevented The White hood from wanting to be too close to the man. It gave out the same feeling The White hood felt when being told what to do by the gods."Well hey there. if you heal that man, I'll just have to hurt him all over again and you'll have to play doctor once again...doesn't that seem a little redundant ??" He spoke to the young girl but in a nicer tone. Not exactly talking down to her but making sure she got the point. Just then he felt something go through his reinforced Kavler armour and a polite tone followed.
He dropped his head with a sigh, In a fast motion he grabbed the girls hand while she pierced his skin with the syringe and teleported to his oblivion dimention with her. Once there he pushed her away and left her floating around in oblivion before teleporting back to his original spot. "Really? You're bringing children into this??I Hope getting her stuck in oblivion with weapons was part of your plan, have you considered the fact that I might keep her there till she dies of thirst?" His tone was still calm as always but a little colder since he had hurt more people then he intended to. You know this was supposed to be a simple in and out job with one death and maybe two injuries at best.. the thought of what the syringe had still haunted him slightly since he wasn't sure.

Crowds….she hadn’t been subjected to them in a while. She always had a bit of anxiety in large crowds, but it was worse when it was in a party setting when one was actually expected to do something like mingle. She had been rather isolated for the past few years, so her tolerance for large crowds had plummeted further then she realized. Why on earth did she agree to come to this thing, this was humiliating. She never had fainted before; hell she had punched Zepon in the face and did not drop like a stone as she did at a simple party. Worse she couldn’t wake herself up…part of her didn’t want to wake up…this was probably one of her most embarrassing moments.
SLAP
Well there went that option….Arias eyes blinked open; her face smarted. Her first reaction was to grip the nearest object to help steady her spinning head. She blinked again to see what the hell had slapped her.
”Good morning Stella”
Her voice was eerily calm; she looked around, her eyes traveled to her ruined …somehow red soaked dress….to the cloth that she gripped to keep herself steady….to the person wearing the cloth. Red bloomed across her face as she quickly let go and got to her feet.
”My apologies my liege...”
Aria’s senses were coming back to her rapidly as she viewed the scene before her; wine and blood smeared the floor one of the other dolls held a man at point….people were running the smell of fear was strong in the air.
”Ok….I can deal with this….”
Aria was actually fairly more composed; battles, chaos, with a high chance of death…..yes this she could keep her head about her in. Her eye brow twitched as the man moved suddenly to dispose of Bella…..knowing the twins that would be a mistake. Aria turned back towards Noku…with all this madness Garrett must be up to ears in trouble. For once…it wasn’t caused by her. Aria curtsied to Noku.
”Forgive me for my previous weakness, but may I be so bold to suggest leaving the proximity…or at least get our backs to the wall?”

There was a sudden deathly silence that fell over the proceedings after the splash of wine and the smash of glass. There was one tiny blessing to this- finally it was quiet. Finally. On the other hand, he was wet. That, it sent a hot rush of anger to his brain. For all of his struggling with this night, now this? Then the half-second of silence was through and suddenly there was a swarm. The noise returned in a buzzing rush and he looked from face to face with narrowed eyes. There was a servant there, starting to mop up the spill over his coat. He turned his head over to Jeon, focusing his burning stare on his so-called cousin. He locked eyes with the terrified-looking young man before breaking the gaze to look down at the young woman who fainted in his arms. He frowned down at her- how completely bothersome of her.
" We will speak later Jeon..." Noku managed to say with out yelling or sounding angry. Even if he was fuming and about to explode with anger.
Noku pushed the girl over to the frantic servant who had come to dry him off with a towel. Once the towel was wet did he notice that she was beginning to wake up, not wanting to deal with another bout of frantic swooning. He was about to open his mouth to speak when there was a sudden scream from the crowd. He looked up to see Roland step forward out of his usual shadowy spot.
"GUARDS TO THE KING! Assassin in the ball!"
Sigh....
Noku found himself surrounded suddenly by armed guards that began to push back the crowd beginning to form around him and he looked through the gap in the group towards the man in the white hood. When he began to speak, he finally smiled. It was thin, very cold, and did not reach his eyes. What a pathetic man. But still, an assassination attempt did make for an ever so slightly exciting night. Which was far more entertaining than what was going on before hand. He heard Mysteria’s voice and looked over towards her, letting out a quiet sigh. The smile faded from his face, knowing that she would quickly take care of this and his amusement would soon be over.
“Take care of this quickly… I will have words with you later over your idea of an ‘entertaining night’.”
The guards closed ranks tighter around Noku as Mysteria went about her work, starting to move him away. Before they bullied him too far away, he managed to catch the words of the scarred young woman. It seems she picked a poor time to awaken. He shook his head, half-rolling his eyes before turning to move with the guards before they could physically pull him, leaving the ballroom.
