Kail slips away from the party as it looked like he would not be missed as it looked like. Most of the people he fought with just ignored the hell out of him. Hell it was party for some merriment. But it seemed not so much for him and thought that this world would give him a better chance at things. Like having some friends and such but it seemed that they viewed him as the village idiot. He was trying his best but it seemed that no one really gave a damn. Or that the fact that the majority of those around him had some extremely powerful abilities or magic. Plus the starting stuff he was given at the temple were utter crap. So he snuck away and desided to sneak about the castile and kept to the shadows as best as he could. Perhaps he could find something to make his stay at Nova a heck of a lot better. Heck even get some people to notice him as someone. None the less he was looking for something that he could steal something for compensation for being in this world.

Wayland had somehow made his way to the castle. The invitation to attend a ball intrigued him at first, but the loud noise and groups of people pushed him to go elsewhere. So, there he was in the castle for the first time - all by himself. He walked down the extravagant halls and, though his face didn't show it, wandered and wondered in awe. The craftsmanship of all the furniture, art, and steelworks was impressive. Down a certain hall there was a wall covered in extravagant weapons of war. These weapons must have been made more for looks because they were over decorated in designs and etchings. No practicality in there aesthetic.
As he stood there he heard steps off to his left. At the end of the hall passed a young man with bright blond hair. He gone as fast as he had come. Against his natural tendency, Wayland decided to follow him. He didn't have a sense of adventure, but this young man appeared to be up to something interesting. Thus started his attempt to follow. He was much to large to be quiet in his steps, so, even though he thought he was being sneaky his steps were loud against the stone floor.

Kail was going along until he passed someone and he ignored this person and kept going. He thought that he was moving silently and heard footsteps. The blond then made sure he was moving silently now. He thinks for a second on where he should go to find some kind of treasure. For the major stuff though it would be a lot of weight and would have to be on the lower levels of the castile. Kail kept walking for a while to find something that would bring him down to a lower level. As that was were most treasures were in most RPG's and most logical place to go. But as he walked along he looked back for a second and saw the guy he bumped or passed by. Was not sure how to ditch him but at this point he did not really care.

Lilith wandered the large halls of the castle in silence. She was stunned she was invited to the ball, and was thrilled to go, but after standing around for a while, watching various events happen within it, she decided to explore a little, take advantage of the empty halls. Her eyes wandered from tapestries to weapons placed variously along the walls. There was only a little bit of light coming from certain places along the halls, just enough to see where you were going, not much more. She walked at a steady pace, not in a hurry to go anywhere or find anyone, and her long dress made it hard to walk anyway. She tucked her blonde hair behind her ear and sighed. It was a loud sound in such a quiet place. She looked out to the end of the hallway, where it turned into another. She squinted her eyes. She could have sworn she'd seen someone walk by, but all she had seen was the end of someone's blonde hair. She walked a little faster, curious. Before she reached the end, another man walked by her, almost as though he was following the first. Curious... Lilith walked slowly to the corner edge of the hall and peaked over to the other end, before turning and following them both.

When he saw the blond spot him he froze in place, but then the blond kept going. 'He must be exploring just as I,' he thought to himself. He continued the pursuit, but more casually. They were just 'exploring after all'. As they continued he heard a noise from behind. Taking a quick glimpse he could see a blond girl following him. 'What a weird predicament..' He had no idea where this was going to go, but it seemed to be interesting. He was never one for adventure, and nor did he see this as an adventure, but as a time to enjoy himself. This excited him a lot more than any ball would.
He caught onto the progression. They kept going deeper and deeper into the castle. There was no warmth down in these crevices of the castle and since it was winter time the bitterness of the cold disabled his fingers. Wayland could see his own breath in the light of the torches that were on the wall. They had gone deep enough that Wayland said aloud "As I can say there are three together exploring this castle, may I ask where you are headed, young man?" his voice was clear and deep. There was confidence behind it.

Kail turned and was not really amused and turned to the guy that was following him. "I'm one of those that you call Fated. A person that's been dragged from there world. Anyway to make matters short, the laughing joking numbnuts that have greeted me and showed me that kind of hospitality. Not the real nice kind, so I'm here to get my self a nice new gift for myself from the treasure room. Or find some answers to why I was brought here. Except my some fate or some freaking destiny. If you want to stop me then go get the guards or stop me now. Mean hell no one would give a damn if I died anyway. I got no way of getting home. So feel free to stop me, I mean what do I have to lose except my life. Have a good evening" he said and then turned back around and went on his way. In all honesty it was true since no one really had called him a friend. Perhaps he was being a immature brat or a self centered ass hole. But the world had not treated him nicely so screw it and just go all in.

By the time the blond man was finished speaking, Lilith had caught up with the second man, and had heard the tail end of his speech. Why, that was a tad depressing, no? She spoke, more for herself than the man, but she looked over to him and shrugged lightly, and continued to walk past him, towards the blond one still. She really didn't care where he was going, or why, but for some reason, being involved in this follow the leader type game, was really amusing her, and she was almost giddy, wanting to laugh out loud. She looked over her shoulder at the other man. You do intend to follow him, correct? Because I find it would be a tad awkward if it was only me. After all, I don't know the man, and I'd hate to be stuck alone with a man I do not know. She faced forward again, and let out a small laugh, still walking.

The sudden outburst stopped Wayland in his place. He looked straight into the young blond's eyes. They were beating with rage. Wayland's heart began to beat heavily in his chest. Suddenly the young lady passed by him and caught up to the young man,"I would say, then you would have two strange men in your company," Wayland said, gaining control of his feet again and following her lead.
"I guess we will accompany you on your escapade." Wayland had no idea what he was doing. He was not being himself. Usually he would avoid these occurrences as much as possible: less people, the happier he was. He looked at the two people in front of him. One calm and collected, she was enjoying herself in the moment. The other, a young man who felt lost. "I will show you our cities hospitality."

Kail blinked several times as he did not expect this at all as he was going to have two other people with him for this. He felt a tad guilty but it seemed they wanted to go willingly with him. "Ok....if you want to run when things get hairy then go" he was seeing the elf girl kind of get flirty. "Let's go a bit deeper, I want to find something good, now if we get the treasure I will split between the three of us" he was just intending to do this on his own. But now the thought of others with him and endangering there lives. This was not going to chicken out since he was going in deep now. "I hope the two of you are armed" he said one more town and went down a bit deeper. This time trying to show a lot more caution. Since now he was with a group with the elf girl and the older guy. "I'm Kail by the way" as he gave his name to the others.

Lilith stopped for a moment and pulled her dress up to her thigh, exposing her taller boots. She reached down and slide a small dagger out from inside her right boot, and let her dress fall back down to the floor as she resumed walking. She was no badass or anything, but she could defend herself if need be. She stuck the dagger in between her teeth, as she needed both hands to get her hair up and out of her way, tying it into a long pony tale, similar to Kail's. She stayed behind him, being cautious when he was, even though she was having a blast. Maybe she'd had too much punch before, but now she was feeling great. She looked over at the two men when Kail introduced himself and gave her own name. Well, if we're giving out names now, I suppose I should say that I am Lilith. She smiled and looked over at the older man expectantly.

"I am Wayland Smith,"He said simply with a bow. He shifted his body to show that he had a long sword on his person. He stood straight and gave a serious look. In his head he was attempting to smile. He wasn't that much older than them, but he could feel his age. He had always been told he was too serious even when he was a small child.
Without thinking he walked past the other two in the direction that Kail had already been heading. He could feel the blood rushing to his face. He was nervous and excited. Blood pumping, heart racing, this was something new with new people. Lillith...and Kail.

Kail gives a nod to the two of them and showed his other worldly knives as they did not look like they were made from Nova. They were nine inch blades and the metal that they were made out of was a lot more advanced. As he walked a head acting as the point man and leader for the other two. "So....how does it feel to do something really insane right now. If we get out of this alive though...I will buy the two of you several rounds at the Bloody Mary" he said and slowly felt his blood pumping as this was something rather crazy he was doing. But the feeling of this kind of adventure was nothing he felt like before. A master of his own destiny now, although he hoped that he could make it out alive with Lilith and Wayland. Since they were technicly innocent people that were coming with him.

Lilith felt her excitement die down a little, as everyone got more intense. She followed behind them both, not even sure why she was risking her life for whatever it was they were doing. She felt her pulse in her veins as they crept slowly along the way. She kept her dagger at her side. Well, if I'm being quite honest, I'm questioning if I should ever drink again, if it brings me into these situations. Her voice was small in comparison to the two men, but it held a certain tone to it that held confidence. But depending on what happens, I will probably gladly accept your offer. I just wish I had something with me now. She shook her head, thinking that she wasn't nearly as drunk as she thought she was, and this truly was insane. They didn't even really know where they were going. Mind you, this is surely still better than the party...

Post by NPC Guard Hui on Dec 28, 2014 7:37:46 GMT
Hui was already tired of this. She had been so prepared to attend this ball, even to just stand in a room full of people other than statues would have been an amazing reprieve. But no. She drew the short straw, so she was stuck here to keep guests from wandering too far into the castle.
Clad in her shining armor and long purple and gold inlaid cape, she did cut an imposing figure standing alone in the cold torchlight. The next striking feature was her wildly curled striking white hair, pulled back harshly away from her face. She turned her head at the sound of footsteps, her hand moving to rest on the pommel of her sword. Wonderful, some drunk guests to shoo away. Hui let out a sigh and stepped out into the hallway, her boots clicking against the cold marble.
“Turn around, you’ve gone too far. Only his majesty and the royal counsel are allowed this far back, and you are clearly not them.” Hui sounded bored, tilting her head at the three. “The party is behind you, go have your fun there.”

Kail hears the guard speak to them and knew he had to think quickly since there would be a split second thing. Since he did not want to back down from this at all. It would make him look like a fool. He assumed that she thought that they were either lost guests or drunks and he had to capitalize it. "Yeah.....sorry were kinda lost. Could ya help us back to the party? I think I had one too many......That stuff was better then Ai's nectar" said Kail as he walked forward but tried to make himself stumble about as if he were drunk off his ass. Reusing something he had heard on the street once about some kind of alcohol that was some kind of refrence to the goddess of love. Normally something would not work like this. But due to the ball that was happening, it would be a bealivable excuse.
