Sai was sitting in library her hair today was up with a black ribbon that day to keep it out of her face. Dressed in her normal attire tight black pants with matching top, and on her feet were black knee high boots in her boot was a small knife in case she needed it. On the table was the dagger that she had gotten from the quest sometimes she stares at the dagger wondering if she could make the firebird appear again. Across the table from her was a map of the city of Nova and the underground areas with a lily resting just at the edge of the map. She was waiting for her friend yes that what she called him her friend Alekir she had one of the children send a message to let him know to meet her today.
It had only been two days since she almost caught the ratman and almost died the same night from the poison that he had released. Her fingers were tracing over where the rat had been seen so far he been seen in the first district when he had tried to kidnap the noble females who were bathing and then he was seen in the third district during the riot in a house looking through the bedroom. Sai wasn’t sure if he was robbing or scouting the house since got away before she could kill him or even question him. Sighing out loud at this wondering on what there was to be to lure out the ratman cause surely there had to be something she could do to lure him out and kill him.
Pushing the map away from her while she waited for Alekir to show up, as she folded her arms across her chest staring at the map.

Alekir was quick to come when he had gotten word Sai had wanted to meet with him. It was extremely obvious Alekir really liked Sai so once he had gotten word Sai wanted to meet him he dropped everything to go and see her. Alekir entered the library wearing commoner's clothes as he didn't think he would need to fight today. Then again Sai seemed to really like fighting. Alekir shook his head and quickly hurried to Sai's side once he spotted her. "Sai, a pleasure to see you again. I heard you wanted to meet me here. What did you need?" Alekir spoke, kind of excited to see her again. He noticed the map on the table and studied it for a little bit. He had no idea what this map was for but this certainly had peaked his interest. "Now what's this for?" Alekir put his hands down on the table, trying to get a better look at the map. It seemed to be a map of the entire city....but why?

Sai looked up when she heard Alekir’s voice she felt her heart rate speed up as a light almost unnoticeable pink tint appeared on her cheeks. She still was getting used to having emotional reactions around this man it wasn’t anything she was used to before. “It is always a pleasure to see you Alekir. Well, two things I wanted to let you know I was still alive after an unlikely accident. I also need you help to track down and luring out the person who poison me.” Her voice soft so that they didn’t disturb the scholars too much as two of them made plans.
She was glad that the map peaked his interest. “Well the person who almost tried and kill me has had two sightings.” She said and she stood up and moved next to him and pointed out the places on the man. “He was first sighted in the castle when two females were kidnapped during they bath. Second, he was spotted just recently during the riot that happened a few days ago.” Looking over the map trying to find any pattern to it at all and she didn’t hear any recent reports of females going missing in the night or even during they trips to the springs. “I feel like we are missing something important and maybe you can help me out, and we possibility set a trap for him.”

Alekir was quiet when she said a man tried to poison her. He spoke, his voice harsh but also soft. "Well I'm glad you decided to share this with me. I'm definitely going to have to give that man a piece of my mind for harming....a person close to me." Alekir still wasn't sure how Sai exactly felt about him. She at least trusted and cared about him enough to share this information. But he wasn't sure if she felt the same way he did just yet.
He listened carefully to the information presented to him. "Well lets see. I am certain that the man was part of the kidnappings. I mean he is spotted in the castle and two noble women go missing. Defiantly not a coincidence and he likely wasn't a noble. Now a couple of things could have happened to those ladies but since they were noble I've got a little clearer picture. Now nobles can fetch a pretty price on the slave market so that's a very big possibility, compared to others they aren't as skilled in work but just the thought of having a noble work for them is just enough to get buyers. He could be using them for....personal uses. Or is keeping them for ransom. I mean he likely wouldn't kill them without good reason. Noble women aren't very good dead. But I'm sure you already knew that. Now the riot. That sounds like a distraction if I've ever heard of one. Using the riot as a cover to kidnap more women no doubt. Now I'm thinking of two possible things to lure him, both are risky though and I don't have enough evidence to see either one having a good chance of working."

Sai blushed a little when Alekir got passionate about finding the person that caused harm to her. It made her heart race at the thought of someone worrying about her wellbeing and health. Quickly looking away to cover up the blush focusing her attention back on the map as she listened to him. Nodding it made sense that the nobles females would fetch a high price on the slave market for those reasons. The riot also made sense cause if she thought about it, her getting into a fight with a single person normally isn’t enough to cause a riot that huge. She didn’t think about it until now that it was a possible cover up and more hidden causes to what sparked the riot.
“What is your plan, depending on what the risks are I know a way we can lower some of the protentional risks,” Sai said honestly cause if the plan involved using someone as bait she could easily pull it off by disguising herself as that person or even someone close enough and this way that person wouldn’t have to be involved with the plan.

"Well we got two options. The safe and entertaining routes. We can try and pinpoint a general area where this man is seen. Once we do that you disguise as a noble women and..well you see where I am going with this. Once this guy tries to kidnap you then we strike. I trust in you that you can fight him no problem but if it is to much for you alone you can signal me and then I will come in and break his bones. The other route...is much riskier but it is a little more entertaining. I know a guy, a good friend of my father. He owed my father big time and he told me if I ever needed help just to let him know and he would do what he could. He is rather entwined with the underbelly of society and can get us into nearby slave auctions in the area. We come in as potential buyers and discreetly search the area for the guy. If we find him we take him out quietly, I don't need to explain how dangerous some of these slave traders are do I? But its all up to you which way you want to go. Either way we have our work cut out for us." Alekir took a deep breath. He was talking a lot but this was what was needed to properly planned. He wouldn't let this bastard get away with this.

Listening to the options she weighed each of them for they risk. Option one she was expecting but it also came down to them getting more intel on how the ratman strike for them to lure him out and that could take time compared before they finally lure him out of hiding and beat him to a pulp. Option two she wasn’t expecting either and it didn’t even cross her mind to try and get into the underbelly of society and get into a nearby slave auction. Thinking carefully. “Well if we do with option one which is the safer of both. It might take some time before we can set the trap since we only gotten two sightings of the person. Unless we set the perfect bait like… instead of me disguising myself as a noble what if I disguise myself as the princess. If we think about it wouldn’t a princess be worth more than just another random female noble? As for the second option, we might have to think about it if we have no result come the middle of the summer but we might need to change it a little since I am sure there would become off limit areas that buyers can’t go.” Looking up at him knowing that the next thing she said might put him on edge since she didn’t even want to do it but they might have to. “What if instead of being a buying you pretend to be a seller, it might be more dangerous but you would have pretended to want to auction me off.”

Alekir nodded as she modified option one. It definitely made sense. A princess would be a much higher value target. He froze though when she modified the second option. Him a slaver trader and her a slave. That...was extremely risky. "I-I don't know about that Sai. People are very....touchy with slaves, especially during those slave auctions. You would be at extreme risk if we do that because half of those guys will do what ever they can to get you naked and in their bed and the other half wants to watch you bleed out." Alekir was quiet as he thought about it. It was extremely risky to be sure but it was really Sai's decision in the end

Sai notice that he froze at the mention of the second modification to plan B. Her eyes were downcast since she knew that Plan B might end up being a fight for life if they got found not only with having to deal with some of the buyers but she also wanted to if possible rescue some of the people who were going to be auction and return them to they families if it was possible as well. Taking Alekir’s hand into her own she looked him straight in his eyes her own eyes for the first time reflected her mixed emotions of worry, sorrow, sadness and hope. Tighten her hands around his own as she felt a few tears slipped knowing that she was about to tell him something we never told anyone before in her life. “I know it will be extremely risky. I know how those guys are I been there and was given to a man who became a father to me. But not everyone is as lucky as I am so if possible I want to repay my debt to society. I also don’t want to worry you so we can go with plan A.” She said before turning away from him and allowed her mask to replace itself after the show of emotions.
“Uh… so any princess you think would make a good bait.” Sai asked Alekir while trying to go through her mental databank of faces trying to come up with any of the princesses. With a small note that she might have to buy some coloured eye drops since her eyes are so unique, she wouldn’t want to be recognised by her eyes and give away her cover.

Alekir was surprised when Sai took his hands in hers. She looked.....sad and worried. That was not normal at all. He listened to what Sai said, taking in every word. So she was a slave before? He would have never guessed that. "Sai...I'm sorry you had to go through that. I completely understand you wanting to save those girls but you can't save them if you can't save yourself. I can get my friend and we can rescue those girls another day but the mission must come first, as it may help prevent more girls being enslaved in the future." Alekir sighed and looked at the map.
"Princesses.....well there is that princess from Palico. Lucidna I believe. Shes young, healthy, and rather beautiful. Of course not as beautiful as you but you get the point." Alekir said, giving an uncomfortable chuckle.

It was strange she never told anyone her true origins not out of fear but because no one really needed to know how she when from a kid to kidnapped, sold and that led to her having the life and job that she currently held. Nodding her head knowing that Alekir was right for now they needed to focus on they first mission which was capturing and possibility killing the ratman.
The princess from Palico, she remembered seeing a painting of the royal family. To prevent Alekir from seeing the light blush that had appeared on her cheeks she excused herself quickly and went to grab the book that kept track of the royal family along with family portraits. Returning the book to the table she flipped open until she came across a recent family portrait with Princess Lucinda. Studying the picture for a moment she could do it minus the eye colour she might need to buy something from the magic market for that. “Don’t be scared.” She said as she closed her eyes with the image of Princess Lucinda in mind. Hearing the familiar sounds of bone cracking and breaking as her felt her hair shorter to proper length deciding to keep her hair the same colour for now focusing more on farcical structure and height. Opening her eyes once she was done, her eyes still they normal colour. “How do I look?”

Alekir watched as Sai shift into an exact replica of Lucinda. He knew she could shift but he had never seen her do it before. When she asked how she looked he was awestruck. "Amazing.....I-I mean you almost look like an exact replica! So that's the power of shifters....." Alekir had a light blush. She was so amazing....she could do so many things. Meanwhile Alekir was merely human. He was stuck powerless and without the help of magic. He was what some could consider bland. Sometimes he loathed it, other times he thought he wouldn't have it any other way.

Sai blushed a little at the compliment feeling safe to do so since she wasn’t looking like herself. “Well other than my eyes. Do you think anyone would notice? Don’t worry I am only part shifter if I was of pure blood I wouldn’t have negative effects when I shift.” Turning her eyes back to map now that they had their bait they just needed to perfect place to lay down the trap. The castle would be the best place but with everything going on she didn’t want to endanger anyone in the castle with this plan. The first district was another option but again it came do to all the nobles who opted to live in a home instead of a suite in the castle. Looking she thought about the crystal springs or even dragon breath falls through the springs might be a better option. “How about we set up the trap at the crystal springs? The only downside is that it is an open area but it is our best option unless you can you think of better location.”

Alekir nodded. "Yea I would have to say I definitely wouldn't be able to tell the difference if your eyes were the same as Lucinda. Really I am amazed at how precise as shifter can be." Alekir was completely honest. He had never seen a shifter in action until now. It was truly astonishing to see it happen before you as a shifter seemed to easily shift from one person to another. "Oh yes the crystal springs. I'm sure plenty of nobles go their to relax. Its far more open so we will need to keep our eyes peeled but it certainly not a bad choice."

Closing back her eyes Sai allowed herself to shift back to her normal self since she didn’t want to raise any questions right now if someone was to look over and see a mirror, Princess Lucinda. Once she felt that she was back to herself opening her eyes, feeling once again comfortable in her own skin. Though she was thankful that she didn’t stay as Lucinda that long or else she might have collapsed from the loss of iron in her system. “You know speaking of the crystal spring would you like to scout out and maybe take a swim together?”
