The corner of her eyes crinkled in a silent laugh as he completely refused to want to work in the palace kitchens. A blush crossing her face when he took notice of her stomachs rude interruption. When he commented about it being the wrong way of thinking she shook her head, a kind smile on her face.
”It means you’ll be happy; if you ask me I think you have the right sort of thinking on it….but you won’t be able to do it unless your somewhat successful yes?”
Arias face lit up like a kid on Winter Harvest night just at the mention of getting sweets.
”Can you teach me how to make some??”
She looked up at him with wide and hopeful eyes. She did have to crane her neck slightly to do so…he was almost a foot taller than she was. However it would seem the conversation turned to something a bit less comfortable for him. He was concerned about the depth which was understandably so. After all she did just pull him out of the water and it didn’t seem like he knew how to swim.
”Depends on the pool you enter, some are ankle deep, the others …well others you’d need to be a fish to swim down to. However my particular favorite pool you would be able to stand in all but the middle of it. Even that is under ten feet…So I think you’ll be more then fine….You know if you teach me how to make sweets I can teach you how to swim.”
Aria noticed his concern about cleaning his bloody ring, she knew he had gotten splinters…she frowned. But didn’t say anything; at least though he’d be able to wash it in the spring. Her smile was back though an apologetic one when he asked about the walk.
”It’s a good two mile hike out from the city edge; it will take us a while to get there. And it’s a bit of both, but yes I do like the springs, it’s currently where I set up camp. Like you I don’t’ really have a place to go; I just got pulled here a week or so ago.”

"Success means different things for everyone, but I will have to make enough to survive I guess." Sima appeared shocked as he stared into her eyes as she asked a quick question. "Can you teach me how to make some??" She asked so hopeful, and intrigued it seemed. Sima was shocked, and at first he was excited at the idea. "Yeah I guess" He smiled brightly with a laugh. Sima couldn't remember the last time he laughed so sincerely, and smiled so happily. Upon realizing just how happy he was in that moment, his body was overcome with fear. His hands shook at this thought of happiness. He was stunned, and not keen on this idea anymore. "I'm sorry, maybe that's not the best idea..." He said rather lowly, and he kept himself from looking at her for the time being. It was almost as if he realized something that wasn't at all pleasant.
"Just, tell me you won't let me drown okay?" Sima asked, still refraining from looking at Aria. "Maybe I'll teach you another time, I don't really feel like learning to swim just yet." This was of course to just pass the question altogether. Despite enjoying the smell of the shawl, and the warmth it provided, this was the time Sima thought that he should remove it from himself. "Here, I don't think I need it anymore" Sima sivered slightly noticing it was much colder then he had thought. He shrugged it off however, and attempted to hand her shawl back. This was Sima trying to be defensive, he thought he was just looking out for Aria, the less time she spent with him the more time she would be safe, having her scent muffled all around him too would probably be a bad idea.
Sima felt a little bad now, he would probably look a bit mean or anti-social, but he felt that if she was around too long she would hurt. This was how Sima approached most things, leaving before he became too attached. Sima's felt himself revolving around those that truly made him happy, however, it scared him that he could actually be a threat to their well being. Sima was more calm in this situation now though, he was no longer immortal, and much weaker then before, his power was much easier controlled, maybe this was just him being too careful. "So you just travel around?" Sima couldn't help but feel worried, yet he wasn't sure for why.

Aria squealed with joy and clapped her hands; to be able to make her own sweets! It would be one of the first girlyish thing that she would actually enjoy! Well that wasn’t quite true, she did learn to like dressing up pretty but that was on a rare occasion. Her elated joy quickly diminished when he suddenly back peddled on the idea. A look of pure heart brokenness crossed her features, like a puppy who was given a treat only to have it suddenly taken away.
”Why isn’t it the best idea?”
Aria sighed thoroughly crushed at the thought of not getting to make sweets. But she did smile again when he asked to make sure she didn’t let him drown.
”And waste my work for pulling you out of the smelly drink so soon? I think not… but you do have my word I will not let you drown. Especially if you’re a potential supplier of sweets…”
Aria thought for a while, she figured he would be hesitant about learning how to swim. He was frozen on the spot when she had seen him…then he just went nuts on the dock and broke through. Cats had an aggressive reaction to fear at times, so she figured this was a similar case…he would just have to be taught without him realizing it too much.
When he handed back her shawl she frowned. It was damp from his cloths, so she folded it and hung it across her arm. But she knew he would likely freeze himself stiff going to the springs, and if he was jumping in to warm waters after freezing himself it really was not healthy in the least. Aria let out a sigh then reached up and slapped him on the forehead. There was a gold orang spark as she transferred the warmth spell she had on herself over to him. He would suddenly feel a layer of warmth settle over his skin.
”Your wet and it’s a good long walk to the springs, in the snow, in the middle of a Novanian winter. Frankly I don’t feel like taking care of you if you catch hypothermia. I put a type of fire spell on you that will keep a layer of warmth around you till we get to the springs. I had it on the shawl but I suppose it is lady garments…I can understand if you feel odd wearing it.”
Aria smiled a bit when he asked if she travelled around.
”Sort of, I just haven’t enough coin yet to find a place to stay; plus I was a street kid most of my life so this isn’t new for me…just back to old roots. In this Era my father doesn’t even know I’ll ever exist…my family won’t recognize me…So really it is just like starting over again I didn’t meet any of them until I was sixteen anyways. But on a brighter side if things get to bad outside I do have a friend that was fated here a little before me. He’d take care of me if I needed it, he always has….but for now I’m more curious in meeting other fated. We were brought here for a reason and personally I want to find it out and get over with if I can.”

Sima looked at her as she wondered why he changed his tone so quickly. "Just let me think about it," Sima said calmly, but he felt this was letting her down gently on the process. "Smelly drink? Do I smell bad?!" Sima said absent minded. He attempted to sniff himself like a dog, however his stuffy nose wasn't allowing him to breath in any form of scents. "I can't smell anything.." Sima sounded rather depressed about it. Sima was slightly worried at the way she addressed him. A supplier, it felt like he was some sort of drug dealer.
When Aria slapped him he stopped confused, he did feel a layer of warmth when she had done it, but he was still confused. In fact the slap didn't even seem to phase him, however, her words seemed to. Her absurd blurting for his safety was confusing. "I don't care what people think! That's not it at all!" Sima spoke irritated. "Your smell was draped all over me, not to mention your absurd kindness!" Sima felt that being upfront was the best way to explain his actions. "I don't want you to be my friend! Your only going to get hurt, I don't want to be attached to you" Sima stopped for a brief moment angry at his own words and his rushed mind, he spoke like a little child explaining way too much then he should have. He was embarrassed to say the least and was even blushing a little.
"I mean! I didn't mean" Sima was blabbering out randomness by now.
Sima stopped as he remembered something important. "You cast a spell?" Sima sounded much more serious now. His hands gripped in a way, almost as if his body wanted to reach out to her and grab her. This emotion he was putting through wasn't positive either. "Are you a mage?" Sima felt angered at realizing she had cast this spell, it was because of spells he was here in Teair, magisters caused a lot of pain in his life, and he didn't want her to do the same. In his world mages tricked people, they were skilled liars, and although some were wise like the tales, many were corrupted humans with too much power. "You should have asked before casting any spell! For all I know you could be trying to control me!" Sima wasn't scared of mages, but he didn't really trust them. He took a step away from her, taking a deep breath to calm himself down.
"Did you figure it out so quickly? Is that why you were so kind!" Sima was filled with memories of his past, he didn't mean to jump to so many assumptions. Sima had a hard time keeping himself composed, He placed his hand on his head squeezing with a lot of pressure. Sima was filling with thoughts that he didn't want, thoughts of the past. He was trying to keep himself from shouting. "Not again!? " Sima said a few times in anger. Of course, his emotions were running high, and thus his control of his powers were dropping. Sima had a hard time viewing memories of what mages had done to him prior to coming to Teair. Sima dropped to his knees viewing these events once again. Keeping one hand covering his eyes he tried to keep them away from peering at Aria. Sima didn't realize how much he was gripping his skull, in fact, his hands began to draw blood. Sima's eyes were beginning to get a tinge of red as he was losing control of his powers, he kept them so far in tact however.
Sima would have not reacted so harshly had she not cast a spell on him, he didn't even suspect that she could be a mage. It angered him how foolish he had been. Was Sima going to live the rest of his life following orders by this woman? Was she going to do tests on him, he did not relive being a test subject. What else did she cast on him, there had to be something else!
There was a positive to this though, his body was warm.
