She had appeared behind each person, tapping their shoulders lightly and transporting them to their destination. As the white light engulfed them, they would hear an ominous yet pretty humming, neither one of them would be able to make out the song. The clearing was set up beautifully, lanterns placed in various trees to add to the alluring starry evening. On a tree stump was a folded orange quilt, two cushions resting on top of that. Beside the stump was a basket of cured meats and cheeses, a bottle of wine, and a romance novel.

As the two would regain the vision in their eyes, they would of course see one another first, but then, as their eyes would lock, Amiee would feel a shove from behind, pushing her directly into Leon.

Amiee had been wiping down tables when she felt a tap on her shoulder, turning around to see who it was only to be blinded by a light and ended up. As she was being spirited away once again she heard a song being hummed it sounded so familiar yet she couldn’t make out what the song was at all. As the light started to clear and she could see once again her eyes widen in awe seeing the set up it was romantic from the lanterns creating the mood. Looking up she saw Leon was and smiled only to feel herself being shoved directly into Leon causing her lips to capture his in an innocent kiss. Blushing brightly as she pulled away from him. “Good Evening.”

Leon was in the castle shooting arrows, as he finished shooting his last arrow someone he felt a tap on his shoulder. As he turned around a bright light engulfed his vision as he wondered what was happening. Right as the light vanished he would see Amiee right in front of him.



Leon was surprised and tried to catch Amiee as she stumbled to him, accidently kissing her innocently. He blushed as she pulled away “Good evening Amiee,” He smiled looking into her eyes before wrapping his arms around her back and pulling her closer to him again giving her a second kiss which was slightly longer than the first. After a couple moments Leon pulled away and looked at Amiee “I missed you”

Amiee’s blush only increased more when Leon pulled her back to him and place a second kiss on her lips. Her body naturally reacted to and she responded to the kiss, her hands pressed against Leon’s chest as she felt his heart beat. As the kiss ended her heart was beating even faster than before. “I missed you too.” Resting her head against Leon’s chest. “Is this one your doing?” She asked innocently wondering if Leon also got a red flower for them to enjoy this festival together alone.

Leon smiled as he watched Amiee blush. “Surprise Amiee” he said as he held her close. “Yeah I got a flower for us as well, I thought only being able to spend one day alone with you was not enough” Leon smiled and gently pat Amiee on the head. “Lets see what things we got this time shall we?” Leon said as leon put his hand on her waist and walked towards the clearing with Amiee next to him.

Amiee blushed a bit more she didn't mind spending some alone time with Leon. It was rare given the fact that he was always with a guard so she has come to those special moments when they happened. Looking toward the small make shift table she walked with Leon blushing all the while.

Her eyes quickly zeroed in on the basket and the items in it. What caught her attention was the book that seem to be out of place among the food. Wiggle a bit out of Leon's hold she bent down and picked up the book as her fingers glossed over the title and the leather binding. Her heart swelled as she read the title it was one of the romantic novels. Showing the book to Leon, "Look it's one of the popular love stories. Let's read it together." Her voice was full of excitement since she has always been a softy for love stories.

Leon looked at Amiee and thought she looked beautiful, he was sad when Amiee did get out of his hold but when she held out the book he smiled “Oh? Is it now. Sorry I actually haven’t really read many books nevermind any romance ones” Leon stratched his head with a weak smile “Since it seems like you read it before Amiee did you wanna start first? We can switch between pages if you want” Leon smiled as he sat on one of the cushions waiting for Amiee to join him.

Amiee moved so that she was sitting in between Leon’s legs with her head on his chest, the book in her hand she tilted her head up to look at Leon. “You know I love romantic tales. The idea of two people from different backgrounds coming together all because of love. It warms my heart every time I hear those tales.” She swooned a bit at the simple thought of living one of those stories since she met Leon it seemed like she was living a fairy tale but even with how things were going now she wasn’t sure if her fairy tale was going to have a happy ending.



Turning her eyes back to the book she opened it and started to read. “Not too long ago there lived a woman who beauty was almost incomparable to anyone else’s. Her skin was creamy-tan with long lavender hair that flowed down her back. Her eyes were the most beautiful shade of amethyst that some swear that there were plucked from the brightest gem that could be found. Her life wasn’t prefect even with her being surrounded by other beautiful being and people building temples and showering her with gifts.” Pausing in the tale she looked up at Leon wondering if he knew what the story was since it common tale told by bards and it a bedtime story her mother use to tell her. “There also lived a young man who was born into the life of a prince. He got everything he ever wanted that his heart could visit for. If he wanted gold it was given to him, women threw themselves at him if he asked and even land was given to him if he snapped his fingers.”

Leon smiled as she began reading the book “I’m somewhat familiar with the story though I haven’t heard it in a fair amount of time.” Leon wrapped his arms around Amiee “It sounds nice when your reading it though Amiee”

With his arms wrapped around Amiee firmly he had his head on Amiees shoulder for support “Tell me if this is a bit too uncomfortable for you Amiee.”

Amiee blushed a little when Leon wrapped his arms around her, even with them officially courting it still caused her blush from the little things of affections. Resting her head against his chest getting a bit more comfortable. “It is a popular tale after all.” She said and blushed a bit more when he said that it sounded nice when she read it.



Turning her head to look at him when he placed his head on her shoulder. “It’s not uncomfortable.” Even as she said those words her heart was beating rapidly from the closeness, it was something she read in books or seen sometimes when people came into the tavern for a date. Having it happen to her was strange, making it hard for her to think but it wasn’t uncomfortable it was just different but she did know that she would have to get use to it with the change of they relationship. Taking a deep breath, she quickly scan the pages to where she had left off in the story. “Even though the prince had everything he could wish, beg or demanded but the one thing that he heart truly desired. You see as a young prince had met the Goddess who was also lonely and fell in love with her but because she was Caster the Goddess of Chao he couldn’t have her.”



Pausing in the reading wondering for a moment why this was the story that they been given for they date. There were other stories that they could have been given to read and enjoy but it was this story one of the most tragic love stories of history. “Prince Yildren Scorn swore that she was more beautiful beyond anyone he met or seen before and upon that one look he felled in love with her on sight. Prince Yildren did everything in his power to try and keep the Goddess by his side at last she couldn’t stay as you see the love between a mortal and a God was forbidden.” She continued as she came upon the ending of the tale as her heart tighten a bit at the sad ending the story was known to have. “Though even though the prince had to move on with his life there was one thing that he never knew. You see the Caster had given birth to a child that was born out of they love. This child is known to us today as Fate the Demi-God of Destiny.” Closing the book as she did her best not to cry it almost pained her anytime she heard the story it made her heart break each time.

Leon enjoyed listening to Amiee read the story, even though it was a sad love story and he did wonder why this was the book picked for the date, maybe the book was something Amiee loved and that was why it was chosen he believed. After amiee finished reading the book leon felt bad about what happened in the story.

As he watched Amiee who seemed like she would cry any second after finishing the book, he called out her name before gently kissing her lips. Though they were offically courting, Leon believed that they have not done this enough. And thought it be a good time.

Enjoying the kiss for a few moments before moving in front of Amiee. “Amiee are you okay? The tale was a really good one though its saddening.” Holding Amiee’s hand Leon asked “Should we start on some of the food I’d feel bad if we’d waste them. The area is beautiful is it not? Lets enjoy the stars shall we?”

Amiee blushed a bit as felt Leon’s lips on hers, sure she had kissed him before but that was when they were not courting and she was doing it to try to hide them from guards but now it felt different. Her eyes closed for a moment as she melted into the kiss as those warm fuzzes stirred inside causing her blush to brighten just a tiny bit more.



Even if the kiss being short lived her face was flushed, as she tried her best to calm her beating heart. Nodding her head at the question she smiled at Leon brightly. “It’s sad but I think there is something we can learn from it. That love is worthy fighting for even if it’s impossible.” She said as she turned to look at him, her eyes shining with hope for they future. “I should eat, but the stars are lovely this time of year.” Her eyes turned up to the sky, as soon as she did she notice a star shooting crossed the sky, closing her eyes she did two things she made a wish on the falling star like many of the fated who came into the tavern have said they did but she also said a pray in case it was another angel falling from grace. “Leon what do you think falling stars mean?”

Leon held onto Amiee as they looked at the stars before hearing her ask the question “Well I think, it was meant to be a sight to see, that it’s a sign that something is happening somewhere. That its the end for someone else’s story.” Leon answered vaguely, looking at Amiee for a second. “But it's a good thing you know? For every story that ends, many more are created to take its place.”

Reaching the basket Leon was able to grab the bottle of wine while Amiee was still watching the stars, Popping open the cap he reached past Amiee to grab both glasses before pouring a small amount to both. Afterwards put the wine bottle to the side where he wouldn’t bump into it before holding both glasses, one he moved closer to Amiee. “Lets have a drink Amiee, to our happiness and a new page in both our lives” Leon said.
