"This should have been mine." Continued to echo in her mind  Finally Aqua's legs gave out she fell to the floor dropping her lance besides her.  As it fell the lance made loud metallic sound as it hit the floor, the walls of the large hall. as she laid on the floor she looked down to see some bleeding, it didn't feel like major bleeding but she wouldn't risk it in her current situation. " Hello? is anyone there? Please.. help me..." she winced.  As she waited for someone to notice her. All of a sudden her head began to ring, One by one various memories began to fade, her father's face and name became blurry. images of her homeland began to fade. the pain was too much, she passed out.

Adkir had brought in a small handcart loaded with a few items to trade for some more supplies back to the Gallows, and had somehow gotten lost. He ended up wandering down a hallway near the Alter when the metallic clatter caught his attention. He pulled his cart along faster til he got to the doorway leading to the alter room. Inside was a woman laying on the ground with blood pooling around her. Dropping the cart, he hustles into the room as fast as his stubby legs would carry him. Positioning her on her back, Adkir quickly checked her over. Several less-than-serious wounds and one decently deep gash.

"You'll be ok, stay 'ere" Standing and running back to his cart, he retrieved what appeared to be a small wooden briefcase and ran back, dropping to his knees and opening the kit next to the woman. He pulls a small bundle of dried leaves of various plants and stuck it in his mouth, chewing it while his hands readied the bandage. Once chewed, he spit the leaves out into his hand. "It may sting." he states as he pressed it against the large wound prior to wrapping it.

"'at should help wif dat pain." He said, almost absentmindedly as he went about bandaging up her other less serious wounds. "Shou' prolly stitch it up b'fore long."

Nyx had been at the Arch of Ages when she started to think about Gallows Bane before she knew it she was back at Bane the only things she had on her was her tessen and she was dressed in her shrine maiden outfit. Not having much to think about it she walked along the familiar path towards the temple her fans in hand as she used them to cool herself down as but also channelling a tiny bit of her mana though the fans.


The moment she reaches the path that leads off towards the alter for new fated she stopped when she saw the handcart that Adkir had when she last saw him. Raising an eyebrow, she walked into the area where the alter was kept and saw that Adkir tending to a blue haired female who seems out of it. Quickly making her way towards Adkir, as she bent down to look at the female. “Did we come here like this?” She asked Adkir as watched him tend to the female wounds.


Closing her eyes for a moment she opened them again this time they shined bright blue as she looked at the female and Adkir. She saw the normal white strings that connect all the fated together. Next, she notices that the female had a light blue string which is normally for magic users and last she saw green intertwine with the white and blue. “She is the same as me?” Nyx said as she looked at Adkir and notice that he had white, yellow and light blue she wasn’t going to bother about that right now since him being a mage wasn’t important right now plus he seemed content in his life that she didn’t feel the need to take him to the Arch of Ages. “Do you have anything to wake her up?”


As soon as those words left her mouth she senses strange magic in the area, looking up she saw the familiar light that brought her to this world. Looking back at the female then the light wondering if someone was chasing the girl or was it another fated being ported over. Turning to Adkir she looked at him as she stood up moving to stand between the girl and the light. “Protect her.” Snapping her fans open as she took on a defensive position in cause whatever or who ever appeared next was a danger to the female.

Eterna walked through the portal prepared for a battle, having her sword sheathed in her right hand and her carrying case strapped across her shoulder she blinked and wondered where this portal was going to lead her. Thinking to herself that maybe she should have called for backup she crossed that idea out her head and decided what's done is done. Even if she died from her mistake she’d be reborn again after some time has passed.

After a sudden bright light at the end, she stepped on solid ground, with her sword in hand she was prepared to draw it at a moment's notice. After the light died off she saw three people in front of her, one seemed to be prepared for fighting while one seems to be tending the other “What do you plan on doing to her” Eterna asked her left hand holding the hilt of the sword prepared to draw if the person in front of her was planning on harming the girl.

A few moments after another flash of light awakened her Aqua had awoken.  she had only heard another person's voice saying " What do you plan on doing to her?". She opened her eyes and began to wince in pain once more. "what do i do?" she thought to herself. She focused what little energy she could and used her hoarse voice, "Summon: wings!"  instantly water from around the small island of what she thought to be a shrine came to her and formed wings on her back, they fluttered pathetically for a moment before giving out. she grabbed her lance and used it to stand up,  and then pointed it at both parties. "Who are you people?" she manged to say with barely any breath. she tried to use her wings again and they managed to carry her to the other side of the water to create some distance. "Are you with the one who attacked me?"

Nyx knelt down near him and asked if this woman showed up in this condition. He shrugged in response. "Bes' I kan tell, yea." He stated with a firm nod. He finished wrapping her in bandages, occasionally putting a bit of left-over chewed plants on the larger wounds. He shook his head when asked about waking her. He squinted and brought a hand up to shield his eyes to the sudden bright light.

"Aye, I've no thing to wake her. I've yet ta find 'nuff items ta do so." he stated as he reflexively stood and stepped over his patient to position himself between her and this new potential threat. He didn't understand the way...this worked. For all he knew a Dire Bear was gonna step into this world. He reached across and gripped the wooden grip of his dagger, pulling the long tooth from the leather pouch at his waist. His axe was back at his cart and he didn't have time, nor the speed, to get it in time. His top priority was to protect his charge.

Next thing he knew, his patient was on the other end of the room.
"Woa' woa' woa'" He said, holding his hands up, fingers extended with the dagger only held in his hand by his thumb. "Ya' hurt. Shoudn't move like dah, may cause more damage." His voice was still gruff and dwarvish, can't really change that no matter how hard you try, but if they were attentive enough they may notice he seemed a bit gentler. "I'm nay your enemy. Nor is dis tall one." He gestured by jerking his thumb over his shoulder towards Nyx. As a show of faith, Adkir placed his weapon on the floor before taking a few slow steps towards the injured woman.

"My name is Adkir. I'ma Shaman, I need ya ta calm down." He was now standing nearly the same distance between the two new people. He turned his body, holding one hand towards the wounded woman, holding his other open palmed hand towards the new one with the sword. "I need bofh ya ta calm down."

Nyx eyed the female that came through the portal she could see the strings of fate and saw no string laced with black but still, that didn’t mean anything. She saw the girl's hand reach for the hilt of her sword, narrowing her eyes even more as the woman ask her question. “What does it look like we plan to do with her? Now how do I know you didn’t cause the wounds on her?”


As she heard another voice Nyx didn’t even turn to look at the blue haired female trusting Adkir to deal with any issue until it was deemed that the woman wasn’t the one hunting the girl. Even as the woman asked the question she almost turns but didn’t since this wasn’t the time for her to be trying to play nice-nice. “Adkir can you make sure she doesn’t hurt herself. Also, if you didn’t notice little girl when you woke up that nice dwarf had to bandage your wounds, so instead of being stupid and opening them back up you should relax and let Adkir take care of you.” Taking the small moment, she started to channel a bit more mana though her fans as the strings of fate started to flicker out of her vision. “As who we are Adkir already introduce himself. As for, me, I am here to help you transition to this world easier, I know you are a mage girly. After some food and rest, I am going to take you to the Arch of Ages for you to recover some of your magic as you get adjusted to this world.”


Nyx did relax a little but she didn’t drop her guard till the white-haired female proved that she wasn’t a threat. “Now mind telling us who are?” A small bubble was water had started to form from the water at the alter as she chanted silently the bubble would float behind the white haired female for the time being.

When the white-haired girl asked her, Eterna was wondering if it was a way to stall for time "You tell me that, I just walked through a portal and see two people ready to fight and one injured." As she was about to continue the Blue haired girl seemed to have woken up or at least figured something was happening as she started backing away and asking questions.

Eterna almost drew her sword when the girl asked if they were the ones attacking her, though because of the words of the guy named Adkir she wavered. She continued to stare at the white haired girl. During the brief encounter and conversation they had it seemed like they really were trying to help the blue haired girl.

Moving her hand away slowly she began to speak as she moved her sword back to her hip “My name’s Eterna. I came through a blue portal after dealing with some monsters that was attacking my city. After that well you’d know the rest” Eterna said trying to prevent the situation from getting worse. “Where is this place, it doesn’t look like anything like where i'm from” She asked Nyx since the other two seemed to be busy themselves.

"You did..?" She looked down and saw the small man's kind gesture. "thank you, that a very kind thing for you to do.." She paused a moment "Adkir was it?" she used her free hand to move hair out of her face as she awaited a response.

Her attention then shifted to the tall beautiful women in front of her. " As for you. Little girl? Ill have you know I am Aqua Aingeru, Princess of Ha-" she stopped for a brief moment with a puzzled look on her face before continuing. "Daughter of-" She stopped again. Black magic came off of Aqua's head and she covered her face showing she was in distress. After the pain subsided  "no matter ill show you who is a little girl!"  she said in anger for the title given to her by the strange woman. Her pendant began to glow as she vocalized a note, causing the water bubble behind the girl who came through the portal to shrink is size, However this was all she could manage to do given her current wounds. After realizing she couldn't dispel the bubble completely she stopped. " If i was at my full strength i would have stopped that spell of yours." she said bitterly huffing and puffing.

"whell. I couldn't well let ya bleed all ove' the place. Wouldn't be right iffin I leftya." Adkir was solely focused on the injured woman. He trusted Nyx enough to at least shout if he was about to get hit. Luckily he was able to defuse the situation at least some by his bullheaded and single-minded care for the injured woman's well-being.

"Nyx!" He started after he noticed the shrinking bubble, "Ya daffy girl, stopit. Everryone jus needs ta sit. Ya two're causin' dah poor girl more stress den she needs." He turned his attention back to Aqua. "Put yer weapon down an' sit!" He was becoming frustrated with the whole situation. He was still standing with one hand in the direction of both new fated, much as how one would see a person breaking up a bar fight. Even though both girls were quite the distance from each other.

[Rivers]

"Hey now!" Shouted a voice as a gust of wind blows through the alter and a man in a brown coat appear as if from nowhere. He looked around at the group gathered around and shakes his head. "This is...really?" With a huff Rivers finally pulled himself upright.

"Alright everyone let's calm down. This is a place where Fated are safe." He says stressing the final word as he looks up at Nyx. "That beings said it looks like someone is injured and that no one has given everyone the 'you aren't in Kansas anymore' speech."

"Is will everyone be okay with getting this girl some medical attention and then I will give the standard introduction to the Fated?" As he finishes speaking he gives everyone a slightly nervous but genuine smile attempting to defuse whatever is going on.

"Either that, or maybe everyone is actually fine with each other and I blew a perfectly good dramatic entrance?" He asks, only half in jest.

[Nyx]

“Well let’s see the fact that she showed up her just moments before you hurt. It’s hard to believe you didn’t cause her harm.” Nyx said pointing out the facts to the white-haired woman. As she listened conversation happening behind her, she was thankful that the female finally, realized that she had been bandage and shouldn’t be causing any more trouble.


Seeing that Eterna wasn’t going to be a threat she folded her fans and quickly tucked it into the obi of her outfit. Feeling addition mana touching her spell she turned around facing Aqua. Stalking over to the female she took out her fans as she flicked it making the now smaller water bubble fly towards her and hit Aqua. “Stupid girl. What if she was here to harm you?” She said as she pointed her fan at Eterna. “That water bubble was going to be used to slow the human down and you decided to shrink. Did any of that go through your head given the situation.”


Nyx’s anger only increased when another person showed up and causes her eye to twitch. “Like great damn Zeapon tits. I swear if one more person shows up I am seriously going to be sending someone’s soul to Zeapon for dinner today. First you I had this handled you showing up here like you suddenly know what is going on only going to cause more confusion. Now, why don’t you make like a tree and leave.” She said to the new person since she had had this handled before he showed up since everything had been defused since all the information been gathered and it was just a misunderstanding.


Pointing to Adkir, “He was taking care of the injured one who showed up here like this. Until the baka decided to move and possibility reopens her wounds. Then that one there.” Pointing at Eterna. “Show up just seconds after this one with a sword in her hand. Based that that information alone we thought she had cause harm to the blue haired girl. It was a misunderstanding so now leave we have this handled go back to wherever you were before deciding to come in here like you own the place.”


Turning back to Eterna since she had decided to brush off the man since he wasn’t of important to her whether he left or not she didn’t care if he didn’t try to butt into her job. “This place is called Gallow’s Bane. Your and Aqua are now what this world calls the Fated. It’s just a fancy word to mean that you are not native to this world and the god Fate brought you here. I have been here for almost a year now and I have settled in with a respectable job. Adkir here came here almost three months ago, so he is recent and can help you out.” Turning to face Aqua. “Now you are a mage and there is a school of magic called the Arch of Ages. I try to bring all fated magical beings to there since if you are found out to be fated you are protected by the school. I can give you both more information after we get some food and I get us a room at the boarding house until Aqua is fit for travel.”


Nyx walked towards the exit not even looking at the man. “Would you ladies and Adkir follow me, please. Adkir could you help Aqua if it looks like she reopened her wounds.”

Eterna stood still as Nyx spoke “I guess this is just a misunderstanding then, I never seen that girl in my life.” Looking at everything happening, it seemed like something out of a movie or show. Though it's happening in real life, she never expected it to happen to her, though her own being itself seem like it could be from a movie.

When the man suddenly appeared she wondered whether or not he was an enemy, though hearing what seemed like a chat between the man and Nyx made it seem like they knew each other and that at the least he meant no harm.

Hearing Nyx do a quick explanation of where they were, Eterna understood the gist of it since it would mean she would be starting her new life in another place again. Though she wouldn’t be an infant at start this time. She then began to follow Nyx while wondering what she had gotten herself into.

Aqua relaxes and curtsies to all parties involved while she waits for Adkir to assist her in walking. "Im sorry for the way I acted i didn't mean to be so rash, its just one moment i was running for my life and the next I am surrounded by strangers in a new area i've never been to, ill come with you if it means some rest i desperately need some right now."

As she walks off she hums a song, a small amount of water floats from the altar to the strange man who just showed up. "oh just one moment, Adkir i need to adjust my hair I dont want it to get in the wounds." As she moves her hair to the side, the tattoo on her back is revealed. When river realizes the water is floating to him, the water formed the same mark. She flashes a look at him and mouths the word "find me."

Impending battle avoided due to his vastly superior method of telling everyone to sit down, despite no one actually listening to him about it. But no matter. Fight was more or less avoided so he retrieved his dagger from the floor and walked over to Aqua. She wasn't quite as tall as Nyx but she was still nearly 2 feet taller. Adkir was more or less eye level with her chest so assisting her moving would be somewhat difficult because she would need to rest her elbow on his shoulder, a far less efficient way of stabilizing herself. Then this new dude entered. After having been given a quick glance, Adkir went about his business otherwise ignoring the gentleman. Nyx had everything handled it appeared.

After Nyx's monologue he approached Aqua and stood with her on his left, reached his hand around and placed it on her hip, pulling her hip into the side of his torso, his other hand taking her arm and positioning it on his shoulder. Luckily he had several layers of furs and leathers on the aforementioned shoulder so no matter how pointy her elbow was she whouldn't hurt him if she dug in. "Comeon, lets getcha ta my cart. It's right out 'ere" He stated quietly, stopping when asked to. Once he got outside the alter, Adkir leaned her against the wall and went to his cart a few feet away, moved some items around to create a sitting spot near the back and motioned her over. It was rather long for a handcart, the wheels were placed fairly far back and a pair of legs were on the forward end of it so it could be set down and be mostly level. The cart wasn't super full so she was able to sit just a little forward of the wheels. If she even so chose, she could move the furs around a bit and lay down. Or at least relax a bit.
