“Well you might have forgotten what classes I teach.” She said as she brushed a lock of hair behind her hair at his comment about thinly veiled threats. It wasn’t a threat even she would have used him to show her students even if they were not around to see it that fighting without magic was as important as fighting with magic. After all she did teach both magical and non-magic self-defence classes along with intro to elemental magic.
“It’s not bothersome at all. Since the future is always changing it is nice to have some glimpse on what might happen if things continue its current course. Like you balding for instance it is possible future I saw for you. Another if really want to know was a bit more disturbing but it is not my place to share unless you want to know.” She said as turned to look at the tree top watching the water the sunlight filters though the leaves.
“I’m from a small country. It’s hidden behind a barrier that only those who know where it is can find it. Similar to how the Arch of Ages was just a few months ago before this village formed around it. She said with ease since it wasn’t a lie since she did some from a country that is hidden behind a barrier of worlds. Just thinking of home made her heart arch missing her family she would do anything to catch a glimpse of them but she had a job to do and wouldn’t return home until it was done.

Feng just huffed a small but audible hmph as the girl tried to upset him with her "visions of the future". He quite didn't believe her – at least, if they were as unpredictable as she had made them sound, it seemed to illogical for her to act like nothing had happened if she really had seen something. He wasn't buying it, not one bit. She could try to intimidate him all she wanted, but it wasn't working!
Slowly, the man forced himself to sit up on the bench, leaning against the simple wooden table in front of him. The topic at hand had started to drift in a slightly more interesting direction, mainly this hidden and secret country the girl came from. Indeed, Feng couldn't remember ever visiting such a place, not even hearing from one… Probably. It made sense for him to not know much if it really was something so hidden, but maybe he might have heard something. He just hadn't heard that something he might have known from the girl yet, though.
"Why?" He tilted his head, a question that many would expect out of a child, surely. But the man also was someone who questioned such things, always enjoying making people question the things they took as granted. "The Arch of Ages was and is a safe haven for mages, due to this country's stance on magic. Who are the people in your country hiding from?"

Nyx saw him huff and seem to dismiss her idea of being able to see the future, it was a comment thing for non-believers but she wasn’t going to push it for one simple reason that was because the visions wasn’t as clear as they could be. If she had her cards now that would be a different story on the other hand she would have a much clearer vision it would still have many different paths but it would be clear compared to now.
“Why do you ask? It is simple, like how the Arch of Ages was and still is a safe haven for mages my home is similar.” Her heart felt like it was about to break as she looked into Feng’s eyes for the first time since this whole conversation started. Her own eyes reflecting the inner turmoil that she was going though almost as if something might happen to her or Feng if she spoke of what her people was guarding well more so who they were guarding. “We are not hiding, we are protecting the world from ourselves.” Her words true as the last part came out barely above a whisper. It was true people like herself who could see the future, who could see the strings that fated has weaved and who could see the souls of the dead. Three skills that she has all of and adding to the fact that those who are chosen in her world to become protectors of the kingdom many are like herself all powerful mages with limitless power but could die if they don’t have something to channel all that magic though. For once she was glad that her country might not exist in this world and she prayed it never would since there have been those from her country who were captures and even. Nyx quickly pushed those thoughts out of her head since she didn’t need to worry about that since she wasn’t going home any time soon nor was she planning on getting into any of those situations when she got back home either.
Looking away from Feng, she turned her eyes back to the canopy that above them. “Can we change the topic please I would prefer not to speak of home.”

Another safe haven for mages, huh. Seemed like yet another country that decided to be afraid of magic rather than embrace it… Though there was something in the girl's eyes as she looked at him. Yes, she looked at him, something Feng realized she hadn't actually properly done before. He answered her gaze, his own turning into a frown. While the man might have been oblivious to many things, it was difficult for him to claim that he wouldn't have been able to sense the unease from her gaze. He wasn't capable of magic, himself. He didn't have a clue what someone like that would have gone through, had they been persecuted. Well, he had a clue, but he hadn't experienced it himself.
Yet she continued. Her people weren't hiding, according to her. They were the dangerous ones, an idea she seemed like she barely dared to speak, her voice lowering itself into something he definitely wouldn't have heard had he not been paying so much attention. Of course Feng was intrigued, leaning forward with that curious glint in his eyes – though perhaps he should have been afraid. If they were so dangerous, should the girl have been here? What was it that made them so dangerous?
Questions he wanted to ask, but they were questions she didn't seem like she wanted to answer, quickly asking for a change of subject. That youthful curiosity of Feng turned into another frown as he leaned back. "Just as it was getting good," he huffed, disappointed. Of course he wanted to know more. Of course he was annoyed that a tasty morsel that had been dangling in front of his face was quickly pulled away when he tried to approach. …But he could understand. He wouldn't have wanted to talk about his home either – and he didn't. Some had tried to pry such information out of him, but it was a rare treat for him to offer even a small scrap of such knowledge. "Fine. But that's a favor," the man seemed to bounce back to a more playful mood, getting over his initial disappointment as he offered a smirk. He couldn't be seen as giving up gaining new information too easily!

Nyx looked at him then sighed but she couldn’t deny him asking a favor since she felt that it was unfair of her to cut her story of home short as she was started to have memory flow back about home. “Depend on what the favor is I might grant it.” That was as much as she was willing to give him if he asked for information about her home she would most likely not answer the question or anything related to her personal life since that was not something she was willing to share with a stranger given that she wasn’t sure if she could trust him with the information on what she could do or even the information that she was fated. Other than Adrain, Arthas and Lucifina no one else who minus those that she met personally at Bane knew that she fated and she was going to keep it that way better than letting everyone in the school know that she was not from this world and was teaching the new generation of mages on the basics of magic.

Feng's smile just grew wider when the girl was at least considering the whole favor thing. Though it didn't seem like she quite understood what kind of favors he was after! Shaking his finger with a few tuts, he couldn't help but grin like a content cat. "Oh, darling. I'm not asking for anything now… That's the beauty of favors. Or perhaps, the danger. You'll just owe me and I'll collect it one day, when I need it. Simple, no?" He filled her in, and to him this seemed to at least partly be a game. He needed something to amuse him after such information was yanked away from him, didn't he?
"I could ask for something very little… Or I might ask for something big. You never know, when the moment comes – I'm not the one who sees the future here!"
A loud laugh followed, though the man at least covered his mouth with a hand.

“Now you have to remember I said I will consider the favor. So even when the time comes I will consider what the favor is and make a decision on it.” She responded back without missing a beat. It was little entertaining that Feng believed that even in the future upon him asking for the favor that she will just say yes since she did make it clear that depending on what it was she might grant it.
Her eyes narrowed at him since he seen to be mocking her ability to see the future. “Stay here for a moment I need to grab something since you see to believe that I lack the ability that I claim to have.” Standing up she adjusted her clothes and walked off leaving Feng to his laughter as she made her way back inside the Arch of Ages. Closing her eyes she followed the magical signal of her own items until she came to her class room. Opening the top draw of her desk she smiled as she saw the clear case her cards were in, picking them up she gave a sideways glance at her staff and decided to take that with her as well.
Making her way back to where she left Feng with her staff in hand and her cards tucked under her arm. Once outside she made her way back to the table, her staff resting next to the bench as she opened the case. “Now ask me any question about something in the future and my cards will help clear up future a bit better compared to me using my ability without them. Or would you prefer I chose something myself at random on what I want to know about your future.” She said as she hands ran over the top card flipping it over revealing the libra card or the scales as many call it but the card was upside down showing that the scales were off and revealing to her that something was off about Feng but she wasn’t going to address it until she know his answer.

"I suppooooose… But you can't just disagree to everything if you don't like it, that ruins the fun," Feng pouted and was willing to give the girl at least that much. Asking her to say the very same thing she didn't want to talk about right now just would have been a very lame way to use a favor. He wouldn't do that. But there had to be some danger, some excitement. The chance that it might have been a very big favor just had to be there.
Then again, maybe he was just going to ask her if he could borrow some nice jewelry or something, when he didn't have what he needed to finish his outfit…
But she just had to be so serious about it all! It honestly soured his mood, the way she just got up and wanted to prove herself to him! With a pout, Feng just slumped over the table when she disappeared, apparently having to wait for the girl now. Like he didn't have anything better to do! …Alright, maybe he didn't, what with his classroom being out of commission for the day. It was so boring, having to just wait. Was she even trying to hurry…?
By the time the girl got back, the man just looked miserable and bored out of his mind, practically lying on the table and only managing to muster enough strength to glance in her direction. Seemed like she brought some equipment with her. A staff and a case, which revealed a deck of cards. Feng straightened his back. "Trying to prove something so hard, darling… It's just so, so plebeian, don't you think?" He fanned himself with a hand, eyes inspecting the girl.
"But if you want to play cards, I don't think I have anything against that."

Nyx rolled her eyes the man honestly here she was going to give him a free reading of his future he was comparing her to common person because she wanted to prove that she also see the different out comes. Then he had to go and call her cards playing cards honestly this man was in need of a good of fashion spanking. Taking a deep breath to calm herself before she goes and do just that though the thought of it did bring a smile to her face lighting up her eyes.
“Since you don’t want to ask me question I’ll do one myself.” Flipping the scale card back on top of the deck she closed her eyes as she allowed her fingers to dance over the card before she took them all out of the deck. “Cards and gift tell me the man’s in front of me future for love.” Her eyes glowed bright blue as her hand picked up the cards shuffling them at a speed that was almost too fast for human eyes. Once that was done her eyes took on a distance look as if she wasn’t seeing him but as if she was looking into his very soul searching for answers that were not there currently. She laid out the first five cards since it was easier for her that way than to lay out all the possibilities that she could currently see. Flipping over the first card it was the mirror card yet it was upside down, reading a bit more into the card a small smile graced her features since it was a happy one. “It seems that you met this woman before yet she is your mirror opposite in everyway. Though your future together is up to you depending on how you respond to the question that she will propose in the future.”
Not even waiting for him to say anything she flipped over the second card only for it cause the third card to flip over as well. The first card was the one of time and the second was the one of shadows. “Hm… this one is not as happy, it seems that your future with the one person you truly care about would not happen because you are being chased by the shadows of your past. Until you confront those shadows you can never have a true romantic relationship with that person.” She was about to flip over the next card but decided against it as took a moment to look up, her eyes coming back to this world for only a brief moment as she waited for his reaction to what she has seen so far.

Feng pursed his lips into a pretend pout. The girl was just so serious! And he really would have been up for a game of cards, the day had been dreary enough as it was and he could have used some fun in his life for once! The man supposed he was just going to have to take whatever entertainment the card tricks were going to provide him, leaning over the table with his elbows squarely planted on it and supporting his head, his fingers steepled.
Asking about love seemed so silly, that mirth showing in his eyes and the wide smile on his face. He did, however, lose that expression when the girl's eyes took on a glow and she took to shuffling the deck at very amazing speeds, his mouth opening slightly. Yes, this definitely was interesting – and entertaining to watch! Perhaps she should have considered some kind of a career performing such cards tricks…
Cards were placed on the table with only their backs visible. Feng did crane his neck closer, his eyes flicking up to look at the girl as if to ask her for how they would proceed before he looked back down. She reached down to flip over one of them, revealing a… A mirror probably? That was probably what the image was, Feng mused in his mind. But the actual fortune he was being told… Well, it wasn't really that much different from every other kind of fortune telling, was it? He seemed to be the most impressed with the card tricks, that interested lean disappearing as he sat back up straight and tilted his head.
"Aah, a mysterious woman from my past… I couldn't ever imagine trying to live with someone who is my opposite – unless it's literally my own reflection in the mirror!" Feng let out a hearty laugh at his own joke, covering his mouth. But really, he was perfect! Why would he ever be interested in imperfection? His opposite… Something hideous, something dirty? Something unfashionable? How could anyone ever love something like that – much less him?
What more, he didn't even have a clue who that could be, if this was true.
"Darling, I don't know if I'm really the kind of a person looking for romance… This isn't your way of trying to confess your feelings to me, is it?" The man raised an eyebrow with a mischievous smile that he seemed to try to hide with the tips of his fingers. He couldn't hold that for very long, however, a chuckle escaping his lips. They had barely spent any time with each other! There was no way she could have thought he was serious… "Oh, I'm just kidding! Just kidding. I'm sure young girls like you have devoted your hearts to other things…"

Nyx didn’t even respond or crack a smile when he said that his feeble mind couldn’t process the thought unless it was his own reflection. Even at the comment of her possible liking him her expression reminded the same, waiting sometime until he finish his joke before he continued this time she counted out cards. The first tune it was three cards and she placed the third one face down. She continued this six more time but taking the fifth card once she was done the layout looked like a person minus the seventh card that was off to the side a bit.
Flipping over the first card she wasn’t even surprised by it ‘The Illusion’ card fit perfectly. “Someone only tends to see the outwards appearance of a person not what is under that.” Not even taking a moment to explain it she flipped over the second card, revealing ‘The Dark’ card taking only a moment to look Feng before she spoke. “See this person from your past holds a secret love for you that remains in the dark.”
Giving him a moment before the next card was flipped, her eyes widen normally cards like ‘The Lock’ did not show up in most reading of romance yet it was. “Hm… it seems that you yourself is unsure about who though I believe it is more towards what gender you prefer if any.” Her fingers rested on the edge of the next card before she slowly flipped it revealing ‘The Shield’ again another unusual card. “Seems like this person in your future will ask for your help but you would be hesitated to help them.”
“Now these last two cards are different ways to look at your future or in simple terms different out comes. The last card is the advice that the card wish to give you.” She said as she flipped the cards over in order first was ‘The Fight’ followed by ‘The Sword’ and last was ‘The Shot.’ “Do you want to know?”

Sheesh, what a tough crowd! This girl certainly must have been the life of any party, Feng thought with a slight roll of his eyes. Fine, fine, no jokes. No fun. Pouting, he even crossed his arms defiantly as he watched the girl continue. It was what she wanted, wasn't it? For him to just sit there quietly and be miserable?! Truly he was the maturest soul of them all.
The man watched as the girl dealt her cards in a formation and started to flip them over, explaining what it was that the cards apparently said. His pouty lips slid to the side slightly as he listened. "Eeh, a secret love," he mused out loud. Nope, no idea who that would even be – especially if that love of theirs was such a secret. But then again, this was very much like some fortune telling giggling schoolgirls would do to themselves. Love… Wasn't really high on his list of interests, if it even made it on the list in the first place.
"I could have told you that!" Feng chuckled when the girl brought up that he didn't know who this mysterious person that was supposed to love him was. In fact, perhaps he already had told her, even if not outright! He hadn't really seemed to have any big revelations about this mystery person's identity and probably seemed to be quite clueless. If anything, it would have been quite amazing if this fortune telling had given him a name… Even if that name's holder held no romantic intentions.
Whatever it was, it seemed that the man's little temper tantrum was coming to an end and he was easing up a bit more, his lips even managing to find a smile. "Would it stop you even if I said no?" Feng tilted his head, again teasing the girl a little with his mischievous eyes when she offered him the chance to not hear the reading to its end. The open cards on the table didn't tell him any kind of a story. To the girl, they probably meant something. And this far she had just been reading the cards whether he really wanted her to or not… "You have dragged me this far, haven't you, darling?"

Nyx just rolled her eyes at Feng since he seems to think that fortune-telling had all the answers. Not even looking at up she swiped her hands over the cards collecting them as she carefully placed them back in they case. As she got up she whispered to Feng, “Just so you know the cards just now didn’t speak of a woman but the opposite.” With those words she picked up her stuff and swept out of the courtyard having better things to get to like thinking about what to prepare for her room mate and herself for dinner and work on her lesson plans for the up coming season now that it was warmer.

Had Feng been drinking something, by this point he might have been choking on it. No, it was probably that he would have been choking on it. Right now he almost seemed like he was having trouble just breathing air, the shock of the girl's statement like a punch in his gut that took away all the air from his lungs. It had been all fun and games until now, nothing really taking the man off-guard, but that… That was something else!
"E-Excuse me?!" Feng screeched louder than he had any right to, really. If the girl had intended to keep something secret here, he was attracting a lot of attention. Well, alright, when everyone saw who it was that was freaking out, anyone who knew about the teacher most likely was willing to ignore it and go back to doing whatever it was they were doing… "T-That is– What are you implying?!" The man had gotten up and rushed after the girl, not letting someone get off the hook that easily after dropping something like that!

Nyx just kept walking even as she heard the screeching behind her, it did make her wonder if she had told him something that he wasn’t aware of. Then again the cards rarely lied and they did see a future with him and another just that other wasn’t female. Hearing him telling her to wait she pauses in her steps and turned and face him wondering what he wanted now. Listening to him she just rose a single eyebrow. “I am not sure what you mean. I.” She said stressing the ‘I’. “am not implying anything it is the cards. Though I don’t know why you seem so surprised by that.” She said as she tucked a lock of her hair behind her ear. “Then again maybe you were expecting something else. Sadly, I don’t have time to stay a chat about your future love life since I do have work to get to.” Turning on her heel once again this time heading into the Arch.
