Group B Gathering

The group of the undead would have the group on the ground completely surrounded, almost overwhelmingly so. When she finally noticed, the spurts of flames from Lucifina would blow back large groups of the undead, leaving a few remaining that continued forward towards the remaining members of the group. Much of the undead would be quickly replaced as the swarm doubled in size adding on another group of 50 undead beings coming up towards the group - they were never ending.

Two of the Morgg hounds would be struck with the spear, one in its side, and the other in its leg. The spear would pierce the skin, but would not stop the Morgg hounds from pursuing their victims. The hound, if not stopped, would pounce on their victim, putting pressure on their shoulders so they are unable to move, and would begin to maw on their flesh. The Morgg hounds in pursuit of Selkiris and Aireth would slow down their pace, but the one hoping to attack Esme would continue forward quicker than before, and would pounce on the woman.

[Nyx]

Nyx watched as everyone fell into place since at least having a proper formation would make it easier for them to move along. Watching Lucifina fly ahead as the those on foot were getting surrounded she didn’t have much time to call to her knowing that at least one of them had to stay back and try to help out the group. Snapping her rope at anything that care close enough to them until she saw the mana from energy orbs flying towards them turning her head for a moment she flew back a bit to avoid getting hit. She saw the spares hit the hounds and decided to use the moment to strike.



“Lights of the world I need fire. Fire Twister!” As she said the words her staff outstretched in front of her as she flew above the group as the fire-water rope dispelled; A twister of fire began to surround the group making them the eye of the storm, a small bead of sweat started to form on Nyx’s forehead from the focus needed to keep the twister from closing in on the group and burning them. The flames around the group would lick any thing that came within range catching it on fire and protecting the group from anything that tried to attack them on ground. “Hurry…. This doesn’t…. last long.” Her voice coming out broken. If the group started to move Nyx would allow the twister to move with them as she kept up the intensive of the flames, knowing that Lucifina for the most part was out of harm reach since the twister didn’t reach that high.

Aireth was a controlled flurry of movement as he engaged the assorted undead, pacing himself so he didn't burn out early in the engagement. He was opting to evade more than parry due to his recently wounded arm. This sure was the longest engagement he had been in since...well...he's never been in a full on war like this.

And here come the wardogs. Of course. It just had to be armored, vicious dogs. They weren't as fast as that litte fox bird thing he fought just recently. From above the one heading for him was struck and slowed a bit. About the time that his particular beast closed to striking distance, the group was surrounded in flame.

The creature leapt up and Aireth quickly sidestepped, ducking slightly to ensure he was out of the way. He began to pivot mid-dodge and bring his Rapier around, thrusting it hopefully into the chest cavity, bypassing the armor by coming in from the soft section between ribs and hind legs.

Esme finished off the two creatures, barely getting a pause before she spotted the wardog headed her way. Although she was thankful when Lucifina sent her help, she sighed when the dog on her path only bounded towards her faster. she braced herself for impact, lifting her sheild up for the initial contact. Once they both bounced back, she charged with her sword, slashing and stabbing. When Nyx began her twisters, Esme had an idea, slashing the dog towards one of the twisters, until it had no where to run. With one more lunge forward it had backed into the storm, and Esme sprinted back towards the middle like she had been told.

In the time that Nyx was able to hold onto the fire twister, thirty of the undead that came forth towards their group would be swept up into the twister and burnt to a crisp. However, the undead were still as living as they could be, landing in various places around the twister, only this time approaching shining as brightly as a bonfire, lit up in flames.

The hounds however, reached the group before the fire twister appeared. Aireth's strike would be successful as the hound growled in pain, blood dripping from its side. The beast would turn back for another strike, but this time scratching the man's sword-wielding hand, knocking his weapon onto the ground. The beast would go in for another forceful tackle.

Esme would feel some stiffness from the impact of the large hound, and would be successful in their pursuit of pushing the Morgg hound backwards into the flame twister - even though their sword attacks would only bound off of their head armor. The beast's thick leathery fur would act as an insulator for the flame, and would catch immediately, sending the beast flying upwards and out of the inner circle of the twister.

From a distance, though it could not be seen through the flame-filled twister, a red light appeared from the castle. A male figure stood, watching over the large flaming twister that emerged on the soot-filled grounds before Morgg. From what little detail could be seen, the man had hollowed out eyes, wore a robe that masked the remainder of him, and wielded a staff that had an engraved eye with a glowing red iris - the presence of manna could be detected from the glowing eye. From outside of the whirling flame-thrower a chorus of voices could be heard faintly, the sounds of men, women and children speaking aloud together in eerie unison. "I am Agni, eye of hel. Follower of the goddess you fools dare to cross. For this, you shall suffer, your souls tortured for all of eternity."

Nyx would feel some sort of manna pull coming from her twister. The darkness from the eye of hel taking over, causing the twister to dig into the ground beneath them, creating a crater that was 25 feet deep, and as wide as the eye of the storm - trapping the group. From there, the flaming twister would be put out, as the thirty flaming and charred undead would fall into the pit, along with the hound that focused on Aireth. "Suffer. Burn with us." the undead would groan. The undead from the hoard continued to fall through, lit aflame, and the hound would turn now towards Selkiris, pounding on the man's shoulders aiming to scratch the hel out of him.

From above the crater, the eye of hel would shoot bursts of flames at both Lucifina and Nyx at a rapid pace, one after the other. They would fly quickly through the air, singeing the feathers on their wings.

[Selkiris]

They just continued to swarm them. It was endless. The three shadow hounds had been overwhelmed by the mob of undead, the shrieked and clawed at any undead near them before going silent and still as the corpses tore at them. Selkiris was saddened a little by this but mostly because that was three exploitable creatures gone. He heard Nyx call for something and before realizing it a twister of fire surrounded the group. Selkiris was surprised for the most part, not knowing that Nyx even had the capability of doing such a feat but he soon regained his senses and realized the hound running towards him. Selkiris readied his sword and prepared to slice open the beast.

A voice then broke Selkiris's concentration. Calling itself Agni. Selkiris spoke up in response to it. "Well Agni I am Selkiris. Prophet of the Abyss. Follower of the one your foolish goddess dared to defy. I'm here to show your pitiful goddess that you do not defy the Ancient One." Selkiris glanced around for this Agni person, only to find no one. Selkiris then realized what he was originally focusing on. As he went to find the hound Selkiris felt a sharp pain in his back. Blood trickled down his back as claw marks riddled his right shoulder and back. He gave a quick yelp in pain and jabbed the hound in its neck to get off of him.

Lucifina took a breath after attacking the corpses, as she was about to begin attacking again she looked around her and saw the twister and the monsters being taken care off. Though she sensed something off right before hearing a voice from afar which caused her to flinch. Once she snapped out of it she realized that the twister seemed to have lost control. Looking at the twister lucifina didn’t realize the fireball heading towards her until it was almost too late, quickly moving to the side her wings got slightly burned on the tips during the maneuver.

As the tips of her wing got scorched Lucifina summoned two spears of light about 2ft long each before diving down towards the crater, once she got low enough and was parallel to Selkiris the spears launched at the hound. Lucifina flapped her wings forcing her to stop her dive and hover where the ground used to be. Looking at the hound, lucifina looked at one of the spears as she moved her finger in the air. The spear seemed to have followed its every movement as lucifina adjusted the angle of the spear making sure it would pierce through the gap on the hound’s armor.

“Focus on whats in front of you” Lucifina yelled at Selkiris before summoning 3 orbs of light(1) and looked around to see if anyone else needed help

[Nyx]

Nyx felt the mana from her twister slipping away from her, it wasn’t possible no one should be able to control her twister unless they were given divine powers or was a fire mage. Her eyes looked towards the place the voice was coming from trying to find a single point only to be distracted by Selkiris crying out in pain. Snapping her mind away from the battle wondering if Selkiris was okay she did like him but she didn’t want him to die before she told him her feelings.



She was thankful when Lucifina seemed to help him only to feel the tip of her wings to burn. Quickly she patted out the fire was she became to focus on the battle once again. Doing her best dodging the other fire balls that were coming towards her. Raising her staff, she looked at the direction that the fire was coming from. Still there was other matters to attend before she could rush off and kill the sick bastard that was trying to shoot them down from the sky. Diving into the crater. “Lucifina help me carry them out of this pit.” She said grabbed the first person closet to her.

The beast of hell came back and threw a big meaty paw at his hand gripping his Rapier, the impact and the fact it came from the inside; opposed to the back of his hand, forced his hand open and the rapier went sailing. Luckily he was ambidextrous and still had his Arming Sword. However his left arm was injured so he effectively was not ambidexterous today. Not that it really mattered. Before he recovered from losing his rapier, which would soon reappear in it's scabbard thanks to it's magics, the helldoggo was charging him again. He had a flashback to the little chickenbeast in the Arena and decided to take a page from his own book.

Aireth sidestepped the charge as his hip got slightly heavier from his Rapier making it's way back to his possession. Grasping the wooden handle, Aireth drew it once again and lashed out at the nearest undead during his brief lull with the battle against the demondog. Using his Arming blade, Aireth redirected an undead's swing to miss him as he thrust his Rapier forward into it. About this time the ground began to give-away; causing Aireth to lose his footing and fall, and the firewall surrounding the group dissipated, revealing a rather tall dirt climb out of the pit. Great Aireth thought as he climbed back to his feet. He took quick stock of the surrounding and stopped when he saw his battle buddy, the previously hooded gent, pinned to the ground by his old adversary dog. Taking a pair of long steps, Aireth draw his foot back and smacks it into the throat of the dog as hard as he could, following up with a step over-top of Selk and thrusting his Rapier downwards into the chest of the beast as it was still off balance.

Aireth sidestepped the beast and was able to get an arm under it's neck and his injured arm hooked around to lock his main arm. It didn't work as planned however, the dog was alot larger and stronger. It just kept running with Aireth laying on it's back. He swung one leg overtop of the beast's back and wrapped himself around it, squeezing on it's throat and stretching his legs out while locking them together in order to limit the beasts hindlegs to cause it to fall.

Once the beast fell, Aireth would roll onto his back, using his legs to keep the beast oriented with him so it's legs would kick in the air. All the while applying as much pressure to it's neck as he could. Somewhere along the line he lost his Arming sword. It sat back where he originally stood before he was carried off.
"FUCKING STAB IT!" He shouted, grimicing as his left arm began to ache.

Esme was growing more and more envious of the flying twins above her. On top of the fact it was easier to maneuver, Esme was much better when she was able to move freely. So when the crater started around them, the quake almost threw her off balance. She caught herself, fixing her footing as Selkiris yelled at the ominous voice above them, rolling her eyes at him. Listen to Lucifina! He's meant to distract you. She called over, moving out of the way as Aireth he rushed towards Selkiris.

She felt rather useless in that moment, nothing directed at her - until the dead things started filtering into their hole of death. Aireth clearly had the hound after Selkiris, but Esme kept her eye out for more. Though these creatures looked mangled and destroyed, they were undead. They could move at any moment at any one of them.

She glanced up as Lucifina and Nyx were shot at, Nyx diving down into the crater with them, grabbing Esmes arms and pulling her close. Well alright. Apparently I'm getting a ride. She thought bitterly, feeling her wings ache against her back. She missed them so much... She stayed silent as Nyx held onto her, waiting until they moved out of the crater; though she was prepared if anything came after them; sword and shield still up.

[Selkiris]

Selkiris felt a little lightheaded, the hound did some damage on him and the blood leaving him didn't do much to help either. He shook his head quickly and snapped back into focus. The others were completely right, he needed to focus on what was before him. He would help deal with Agni later. It was a little strange though, the more he focused the more he had the feeling something was calling to him. Like it was waiting to be found. Selkiris tried to shake the feeling as much as he could. He ran at the nearest undead and slashed at it, then continued to do so again and again for each shambling corpse. He wounds were merely an inconvenience, they would not stop his goal. He would let himself be picked up by either of the pair flying in the sky if they chose to get him, otherwise he would continue to fight off the undead

Lucifina looked at the the two fighting right as Nyx told her to help carry them out. After Selkiris hit the undead, Lucifina would grab him by his wrist and fly high enough that his feet would be off the ground “Aireth we need to go! Grab onto his leg!” Lucifina yelled as she flew just in range for Aireth to grab onto Selkiris. Leaving one of her hands free just in case she would need to use her magic while flying out.

Once Aireth grabbed on Lucifina would fly right behind Nyx to leave the pit so they could get out of this literal hell-hole.

Amongst all the conflict a roar could be heard that shook the ground. It originated from the Volcano, the roar of a dragon. Once it ended Agni would raise his staff, the flames would die out slowly, all the minions around were killed one way or another. “It's almost time for the finale if you wish to see your precious city fall then come to the castle, you sinners shall be the first to bare witness to the unsealing. To the new era!” Once Agni said his peace he would walk back into the castle as the area around the adventurers seem to become deathly quiet.

[Nyx]

Hearing the roar Nyx almost lost her grip on Esme only to regain it once again as she held onto the woman. With a single nod of her head to Lucifina she took off towards the castle flying as fast as she could. She was not going to try and let Helena success in the plans and just hope that they could stop her in time. Once at the door she placed Esme down before landing herself, folding her wings against her back.



“Well guys this is once we go through those door there is no turning back.” She said once everyone had gathered together. Pushing open door entering the Morgg castle, slipping through the doors, once inside she started to look around wondering which where they should head now they were inside.

Esme was startled. Nyx had a grip on her that was slowly slipping, the roar throwing her off even more. Esme knew she wouldn't die from this height, having fallen from a much higher one recently. However, she had no intentions of having to explain that to her group. She let out a sigh of relief as Nyx fixed her hold on her, flying off towards the castle.

As they landed, Esme turned back behind them. AIRETH!!!!! She yelled, seeing his fallen figure yards away from them. He must have failed to grab Lucifina's leg before the roar, knocking him unconcious... She turned back to her party. I... I don't think we can afford to go back now... She said quietly, refusing to let her voice crack. She didn't care. He was just a fallen party member.
