Aqua decided today was a good day to dance in the village surrounding the arch, she was having fun in her classes but wanted to spend her time on something other than studying magic for once. As she began to dance people began to form a band around her as the crowd cheered her on, she was doing a very good job dancing especially since the crowd was in an uproar from her performance. Some of the kids from the village who were watching her would come up and great her like normally, she would hand each of them a coin "Now, go buy yourself some sweets, but dont tell your parents it was me." she would send them off with a wink and a pat on the head.
Once she finished dancing, some commoners would throw her a few coins and give her compliments as they walked off. She would collect the box and head to the market to spend some of her new money.

Faye knew that word would most likely travel fast about her running away, but she didn't care. She did not want to end up marrying someone that she didn't know just so her father could have more money to his name, king or not. She wanted to take charge of her own life and marry for love. She wanted to have a small family and actually work to earn her keep. As Faye's thoughts swirled in her brain, she got light-headed.
All of a sudden, Faye noticed a large crowd swarming around someone and cheering. Her curiosity peaked so she decided to take a look. That was when she saw a beautiful girl dancing in the middle of the crowd. Faye loved to dance and even though she was usually clumsy, she was a very graceful dancer. She decided to have some fun and join the girl. She started to dance, twirling around, the flowers in her hair highlighting her beautiful moves. Then Faye noticed a box on the ground that some commoners were throwing coins into. When the girl finished dancing, she picked up the box and started to walk away. Without thought, Faye called out to the girl, "wait! Don't go! You are such a beautiful dancer."

Aqua heard a girl calling out to her as she began to walk off, she was used to guys heckling her after she finished so she was caught a bit off guard when a woman came to her. As Faye complimented her dancing skills she smiled "Thank you so much" She said while aqua rubbed the back of her head a bit, while blushing and smiling, 'Wow im not being heckled for once..' she thought to herself.
She examined the woman a bit, She had not seen her around the village before. She was short but still had a slender and fit figure, she looked as dainty as a little butterfly, her hair was long and gorgeous with flowers cascading down it like a bed of flowers. "Ohhhh... your hair...its so pretty! where did you get those flowers?" She said as she examined them closely hoping it was nearby so aqua can try growing some in her room, it was pretty bland since she didn't get much decorating done from studying so much.
After a few moments aqua would realize she got caught up in the beauty of the flowers. "Oh, forgive me I am Aqua Aingeru, whats your name?" While waiting for a response aqua would put the box of money she got from the villagers and placed it in her bag, sealing it with some ice from her tiny spear in her pocket.

When the girl stopped, Faye walked up to her, admiring her beauty. She flashed a smile and then grew red. 'Am I trying to hard? I want to be friends with this girl,' she thought to herself as the girl thanked her for the compliments. She noticed that the girl started to blush and wondered why. "You move beautifully. I could watch you dance for hours and I would never be bored." Faye meant it too.
The dancer then noticed the flowers in Faye's hair, telling her that they were beautiful and that she wanted to know where they came from. Faye didn't think that she should tell her the truth, but, then again, having someone to talk to and trust would be nice too. Faye decided to trust the girl. She didn't know what it was about her but she just felt like she could open up to her. "Well, I got them from the garden in my kingdom in Kanto. I used to spend a lot of time in the garden avoiding my father and the royal guards. I have a few pressed flowers from the garden if you'd like some?" Faye then pulled out her book of flowers and handed one to the girl.
"That is such a pretty name. A pretty name for a pretty girl. My name is Faye Noru." Faye batted her eyelashes and had a very sweet and innocent look on her face. "I ran away from my kingdom. I have a feeling that my father is going to try to arrange a marriage for me so that he can get more money, and I don't want any part of it. I want to marry for love." Faye blushed. "Please don't tell anyone who I am. I am just looking for a place to lay low for a while."

"Thank you" she smiled again to the girl who seemed out of place here she didn't appear to be a mage or at least she was good at hiding that fact if she was one, then again mages come in all shapes and sizes.
"Kingdom of kanto..?" aqua said puzzled for a moment. She had really heard much of kanto, she only saw it was on the map of Nova. "If your really a princess why are you here without guards or anyone to protect you? and.." She leaned in towards Faye and whispered in her ears "I'd be careful if i were you about that, some people here might try to take advantage of you cause of your status.." Aqua said from personal experience, but then again she did sound like a hypocrite because she used to roam around the castle unsupervised from using magic to elude the guards assigned to her. "And a garden huh? I'd like to visit some time then, I like looking at flowers." Aqua would then go behind faye to look at the flowers in her book. ' Hhmmm..the flowers in this world are much different from what I've seen before.'
Aqua wasnt used to being complimented so much, it honestly made her a bit uncomfortable despite Faye's most likely honest intentions. Aqua could spot a liar when she saw one but faye was a bit different, her sincerity really confused her since aqua never interacted with nobles she particularly enjoyed before, unlike Adrain who took so much pity on her. "Arranged marriage huh..." aqua said trailing off, distracted by the flowers Faye had in her book. "Well this place isn't the safest for you so, how about I bring you to my room in the arch for now? I promise I wont hurt you." she said teasing Faye a bit. "Maybe Headmaster Adrain will take you in because of your status. so this may be your best bet for a chance, besides you get to see all kinds of stuff here so maybe you can find flowers you normally wouldn't find in kanto here." she chided trying to persuade here to stay, aqua wanted to keep faye safe cause the girl unlike aqua didnt seem to have much battle experience so she was worried faye may get in harms way if aqua ignored her.

Faye took the warning seriously and nodded. "I guess I hadn't really thought about that. Thanks for the warning." Faye kept forgetting that she wasn't in Kanto anymore where everybody welcomed her with smiles and kind eyes. She was well liked in her kingdom and she loved visiting all of the commoners and their shops. The reason she had left was because of her father. If it weren't for him, she would live there happily. "As far as me not having guards, I left without anybody knowing. I may look small and dainty, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve to get away in a hurry if I need to."
Faye noticed that Aqua seemed a bit embarrassed by the compliments and felt bad. "I am sorry if I am making you uneasy. You just seem like such a nice girl." As Faye continued on about the arranged marriage, she noticed Aqua was distracted by the book of flowers that she had brought. "You can keep that book if you'd like. The flowers may be dried and preserved, but the seeds are still intact and you can use them to grow some flowers in your home." Faye smiled kindly. "And if you ever want to see the garden in Kanto, I would be more than happy to accompany you there."
When Aqua offered to bring Faye to her dorm room, Faye tried hard to hide her excitement but couldn't. She giggled at Aqua teasing her. "I would love to come to the Arch with you. Maybe I could even go to school there. I do need to become stronger if I want to make it on my own. Do you have any roommates?" Faye smiled and looked at Aqua eagerly.

"Its okay, I hope Adrain will help you out, he most likely will he is a kinda man." She smiled while looking down, remembering how he helped her when she had little to nothing. "Well i don't doubt your abilities, Kanto is pretty far so making it here by yourself must have been hard." She wondered what kind of tricks faye would be referring to, it may be grass or earth magic since she seems to have a strong tie to flowers but aqua would think about it or ask her later. Aqua began to lead her to the arch, she might just take her straight away to Adrain so that he can decide what to do with her.
Aqua studied the book a bit while walking, extremely interested in the fauna that this book contained she never really saw flowers like this before. "Oooooo" she said excited to try and grow flowers "thank's a lot this book really peaked my interest.." she said while creating a copy of the notes with her transcript spell. "Hmm id like to visit anywhere you think is pretty, I havent seen much of nova since i have arrived if im being honest." she told the flower girl.
"That up to adrain sadly, I have no control over what he decides for rooming situations but im not against the idea." she added while opening the gate guarding the facility. "We're gonna go see Adrain first. He needs to know your here if you wanna become a student" She told faye.

"I hope that he will help me too. I don't want to go back to Kanto right now." Faye frowned thinking about why she left in the first place. Faye wondered if this 'Adrain' would be able to help her or if he would just turn her back over to her father. Faye followed Aqua as she lead her towards the arch. As they walked, Faye tried to remember her surroundings so that she would not get lost if she were to find herself traveling alone. "Getting here wasn't actually that difficult surprisingly. I didn't run in to any problems at all." She shrugged her shoulders. "I guess I was just lucky."
As they walked, she noticed Aqua was very intrigued by her book. She smiled when Aqua thanked her. "I'm glad you like it. Although, you don't have to copy anything, the book is yours. I have memorized everything in it and I can always go back and get more flowers. There are some empty pages in the back so if we do ever get the chance to go to the garden in Kanto, you can add some flowers you like that aren't in there." Faye laughed at the comment, unsure of what she meant by 'since I arrived in Nova'. "Are you not from Nova? Where are you from?" Faye had no education on people being 'fated'.
Faye continued to follow Aqua through the gate. "Well, I hope that he will allow me to be a student at the school. Maybe if he wouldn't let us be roommates, we could at least be neighbors. I'd like to be your friend."

Aqua " Im sure he will, you remind me a bit of myself, my father didn't really let me go anywhere when i was younger, so i tried to sneak out. However i was unsuccessful every time." She laughed a bit before continuing "Yeah im not from nova, I'm from a small island country that not many know of, my half-sister nyx is a teacher here so when my dad passed away i decided to come and learn about magic" She added, aqua felt bad for not telling the truth but telling a royal of her fated status could have unpredictable effects so she chose to play it safe maybe once she was comfortable around faye, she would tell her later but aqua could tell it may cause an issue. starting of a friendship based on a lie was bad.
"Maybe one day I can go to kanto but im sure your dad wouldnt like me if he found out i was hiding you here." She laughed a bit jokingly, it felt nice to talk to someone like aqua, but not exactly aqua at the same time, it was unique for her.
after Aqua opened the gates of the arch and Faye got a better view of the school she then made the same statement nyx made to her when she arrived. "Welcome to the arch of ages Faye. Adrain's office is inside the tree on one of the higher floors I believe." As she said that aqua began to lead Faye to adrain's office, waving to the guard again and giving him a small little pouch. "Here! i made some cookies to thank you for helping me before." it was the same guard that helped navigate her to adrain's office when she arrived. it must have been so boring for him to constantly stand there she thought so she made him a treat
Aqua then knocked on the door of Adrain's office three times before waiting for Adrain to let them in. " Don't worry, he seems a bit serious at first but he is a kind man." She told Faye to calm her nerves if she had any.

"Come in." Adrain's voice would call out upon the knocks on the door. He was writing in a tome while several lines of mana were going out of his right shoulder into a neutral mana crystal hovering nearby. His eyes were aglow as this process was going on but it seemed fairly passive relative to more active casting. Serai was laying on a couch, the large tiger raising his head as the two girls made their way in inevitably. The Headmaster would be wearing but a white shirt, the warmer weather making the robe a little unpleasant when it wasn't entirely needed, the black and gold trim robe hanging nearby on a rack.

Faye could tell that Aqua sounded somewhat nervous when she spoke. "Well, I guess we will find out when we see him now won't we?" Faye remembering her status quickly added in, "Maybe we should keep my last name to ourselves. I am not sure how some people would feel about me after learning who I am." Faye felt bad asking Aqua to lie for her, but she also didn't want her new life to be more complicated than it was when she was back in Kanto.
Faye laughed at the remark Aqua made about hiding her. "My father doesn't really respect women in general so I wouldn't take it personally. But, I promise to take you to Kanto one day. It really is a beautiful place." Faye smiled at Aqua sweetly. Her facial expression showed sincerity and joy. Faye enjoyed having another female as company. Even more so than she expected to.
Faye tried to hide her excitement as she entered the gate to the arch behind Aqua but her tiny squeals were only muffled by her hand over her mouth as she started to jump and dance around happily. "This place is amazing! I really hope Adrain allows me to stay here!" Faye followed Aqua to the office door.
After a couple knocks, a mans voice came through the door telling them to come in. Faye walked in the door behind Aqua and saw the man sitting at his desk writing. He was a very good looking man. Faye was embarrassed by how handsome he was and noticeably started to blush as she spoke, "Um, hello!" Faye waved as she said her hello. She made a mental note to scold herself later for acting so childish.

"Hmm we can keep it hidden from other students but Adrain needs to know about your last name...How about...Mariposa? Or Flor? In my native language first one means butterfly and the second one means flower." She asked Faye. it was kind of a good idea she thought to herself, how many people in nova really knew spanish besides Aqua herself?
"Well then id be more worried about how I react to your father instead then." she joked "I dont think we would get along at all then and i look forward to my vacation in Kanto."
As aqua opened the door to Adrain's office, her demeanor changed "Hello Headmaster, how are you today?" she smiled while curtsying to show respect to him. "I hope you will forgive me for coming so suddenly but It seems this this woman needed to see you." she said while turning her body to reveal Faye behind her and allowing her to introduce herself but laughed a bit inside when Faye acted strangely. "This is Faye Noru a princess from Kanto, and Faye this is Headmaster Adrain, master of the arch of ages." She paused for a moment to then explain the situation to adrain.
"she wants to be a student at the arch of ages." she closed the door behind her quickly before sighing and relaxing a bit "Im sorry I didnt know what to do so I brought her here cause i was worried about leaving her alone so late at night, I hope i did not cause any trouble." she said relaxing a bit more around Adrain compared to when she first arrived. She really enjoyed his company, he was smart, and kind if you can get past his serious demeanor which was all to familiar for aqua.

"Hello there." Adrain says, putting his work down to put full attention on the two girls once Faye had introduced herself. He listened to both girls and then bowed to Faye. "A Pleasure to meet you Princess. Though I have to ask, why are you here without a guard? If a Noru were to be sent here for education then I imagine there would be...something more formal?" he says calmly, his mind racing at the scenarios that may be at play here.

Faye looked up at Adrain, a bit embarrassed. "Well, if we are being totally honest sir, I came here on my own." Her face turned red. "I wanted a life that didn't involve my nobility status. I just want to be a normal girl." Faye rubbed her arm with her hand. "I really want to go to school here. Aqua has been a huge help to me." Faye looked over at Aqua and smiled.
"I have no guards with me because I left without notice. My father is too busy to notice. Not that he ever had time for me anyways." Faye slumped her shoulders. Even though she disliked her father for kicking her mother to the curb, she still wanted to have a bond with him. "Please, sir. I promise I won't cause any problems to you or your school. I just want to learn."
Faye stopped talking to allow Adrain to speak. She was unsure how things would play out. All she knew was that she did not want to go back to Kanto. At least, not right now. Eventually she would take Aqua there and show her the fauna. Faye smiled to herself at the thought. She wanted Aqua to be her best friend.

Adrain is quiet in thought as Faye plead her case and intertwines his fingers in front of him. After a few minutes, he looks at Faye seriously as he spoke.
"Faye, the Arch has always been open to mages to learn and to develop. However your status makes that...complicated. The fact you are a run away, I'm sure your father will be looking for you at some point regardless of intentions. I cannot endorse you staying here knowingly underhandedly. On a good day, Galahad and King Noku whom I answer to are tense, I cannot risk a political incident that impacts many other hundreds of students." he says, then looking down and thinking.
"Perhaps I can write a letter to Galahad expressing that you are here and wish to learn your magic, with the idea that you might gain perspective on the world and be in a safe place instead of prey to bandits since I can only assume if I were to deliver you back to Kanto you would only try to escape again. How exactly did you get here from Kanto on your own? That is a very long trip." he says, exhaling.
"I want to help you, really, but the political reality doesn't make it an easy yes or no."
