Sai saw the quick look that crossed his face when she cut her hair, she knew that look but she wasn’t going to comment on it. Minus her swearing an oath to Adrain which she believed would make things very awkward around them. Resheathing the sword she quickly ran her fingers through her now short hair. Her hands were folded on her lap as she listened to Adrian tell the story, hearing that he had fated over to Nova over twenty years ago was surprising.
As the story continued she felt bad for him wanting to give up his life. She might work as someone who have to take lives but she didn’t know how she felt horrible hearing that he had once given up on life when it was the most precious thing in the world. Not wanting to dwell on that thought she focus back on the tale being told. The mission details itself sounded interesting, a tiny giggle left her lips at the mention of him having a common theme of being an amnesia. “So I remind you a bit of Nova?”
“It is okay, love makes everyone act like an adolescent.”

"A lot really. It wouldn't surprise me if you were a daughter or relative of some sort. There are parallels in some people between this time and the one I originated from. When I met Nova, King Noku was just born in that timeline during Cain's rule. But I suppose its unlikely to be a direct relation to you, she was a human. She couldn't morph into other people like you can." he says, looking at her, feeling the hair in his hand a little bit.
As Sai commented on love making everyone act like an adolescent, he couldn't help but laugh. "Maybe...but I feel lust which I am ashamed of. Even if I don't acknowledge the same things as my dumber self does, you are mated with another yes? A lucky person as far as I can tell." he says, then shaking his head, ready to move on. "In any case...let me get the bank note for you. Oh...and my other self actually got you a gift for the Midwinter when that thing happened in the ruins...but it took so long for him to establish contact with you again there was never a good time for giving it to you." he says, making a portal and inviting Sai with a gesture, stepping through it.
On the other side, Adrain would start rummaging the drawers in the Headmaster's office...apparently not completely in touch with the organization of the room.

“Who knows maybe the Nova in your world is a relative of mine in this world. Though given what little information we know about the worlds that fated like yourself come from, in this world maybe she wasn’t born human and in your world maybe I was born human as a distant relative of hers.”
Reaching out she placed her hand over top Adrain. “Don’t feel ashamed of yourself. It is normal for us mortals to lust for others, things we can’t have and even power. The only thing to be ashamed of is if you act upon those desires.” Sai said before releasing his hands as a small blush rose to her cheeks as she thought about Alkeir. “Not my mate yet but he is my potential mate. Though I wonder if he knows how lucky he is.”
Nodding her head she walked into the portal before him, taking a step to the side. Looking around the office her mind went into work mode as she started to memorize the location of various items where there were placed as she looked to see if anything had been moved recently. Next she started looking at the exits noting the way the windows open to all the doors wondering where some of them led to with promise to find out. Upon realizing what she was doing she quickly snapped herself out of it. “Do you know what the item looks like that you are trying to find?”

"Perhaps...there are many worlds, and many timelines. It is complex to explain, but it is a magic I was once able to do Not so much now, things have changed.." he says exhaling. When Sai tried to console him, he couldn't help but to chuckle at her very matter of fact approach to the whole subject. "Yeah, yeah...I know Sage Sai." he says with a slight laugh. "Hopefully he does realize as much." he says.
As Sai scanned about, Adrain rolled his eyes. "Why do you act like you're about to be ambushed? Habit?" he says with a small laugh. When she asked about the item he was trying to find he grunted slightly annoyed. "So...while I can read the other version's memory, it's not organic so it's awkward...how to explain...it's like reading a book through a mirror." he says, as he then fumbled out a notebook from one of the drawers.
"Here...okay." he murmurs as he starts writing the bank note.

“Maybe it’s not needed in this world that’s why you can perform that type of magic any more.” Laughing at bit when he called her sage deciding to act on the small childish part of her she stuck her tongue out at him. “I am wise beyond my year oh great one.” Sai chuckled a bit it was weird she normally didn’t allow anyone minus a selected few to see her like this.
“Habit yes… as they say old habits die hard, training that been ingrained into you die even harder.” Relaxing a bit she took a seat across from the desk as she did her best to remind herself that she wasn’t in danger and the Arch is well protected. “Makes sense it’s hard figure out something when it’s not your own.” Her eyes closed as she thought about it and how it might been similar to her one day trying to find her parents only to maybe find more shifters.
“I see your found the prized book.” Speaking of book, it occurred to her that with all the recent events between settling Zyphire in with her new job at the orphanage, doing some hunting with the woman to get know her. Then dealing with trying to stabilize all the little mages that she now needed permits for she haven’t the opportunity to try and track down the mage that made that ring that Adrain wanted proof about.

"An interesting perspective." He muses. He was never one to believe in the whims of fate so blindly as others but was he consciously sent to this world to stay?
As she stuck her tongue out, he laughed. "You're fun" he says. Sai was interesting: the version the other self knew was all but emotionless but there was much more depth.
"Fair. I'd probably do the same if I were you. The assassin training I had from Suvari left me jumpy for nearly a hundred years. Sort of hard not to when the instructor ambushes you and rips your arm off. Regenerating those really, really sucks." He says making a mental note to punch Deidric if he saw him again.
"Yes...okay one bank note to Sai for a million Noruvian" he says scribbling down and handing the check over. He then reaches down and pulls out a box with some dust on it wiping it off.
"This is that gift I was talking about" he says pushing it to Sai's side of the desk. Inside would be a black outfit that connected by magic and fused to a single piece wheb worn, like a cat suit but it had great elasticity.
"It's for your shifting. At the time h3 didnt eant to get you a weapon afraid it could come back to him if you killed someone but this would at least prevent awkward nudity"

Sai only shrugged her shoulders at the mention of her being fun. If this was a normal situation of it being a business meeting then she would be a different person her normal emotionless self since it wouldn’t do anyone good to know what she was thinking or feeling. “Hm… sounds like your training was worst than mine. Never had to worry about getting an arm ripped off just had to worry about getting a blade coated in poison.” Then of course she also had to worry about the poison that would be in her system, a shiver went down her back thinking back to those time.
She only looked at the banknote, her eyes stared at the numbers written over it. A small smile almost unnoticeable she was going to be able to help out the little ones that are discovering magic. Even if she couldn’t afford to send them to the Arch at least she would be to keep them from going to jail because of illegal magic useage.
Her eyes quickly turned to the box, it was strange normally when she was given a present it was a job but this one was different it was out of the kindness of someone’s heart. Opening the box slowly her eyes fell on the outfit inside, slowly taking it out of the box as her heard that it was for her shifting a few tears fell onto it. “A weapon would have been impractical anyway but this… it’s perfect. Thank you… though we are strange mortals that we come into this world nude but we cover up as soon as we become aware of it.” Chuckling a bit as she wiped some of the tears away.

Adrain shrugs as Sai commented on his training. He didn't want to play a game of 'who had shittier training'. Poison in the system might be worse than when one can simply painfully but quickly regrow an arm with Mysu. "Yeah...Deidric was an asshole. My grandfather wanted to prove that a Deva clan could surpass the Suvari clan and had me go through the hardest training. I suppose it has it's benefits in hindsight. The poison though, that's brutal. No wonder you're so tough."
He noted that Sai was getting emotional over the gift: he had a feeling that growing up Sai never had a positive element, he wished he could give her more but was that her Nova resemblance talking or true empathy. He had a hard time telling the difference right now. But he chuckled at her last comment about nudity.
"After a long enough time you stop really caring about that sort of stuff, if people look they look, if they are so narrow minded to make a big deal of it, it doesn't really matter." he says as he stands up and stretches, trying to stop from staring at Sai for too long.
"So you intend to go to Morgg right. Maybe I can teach you some things that can help if you want...are you familiar with the ARC chamber here? It's a dream simulacrum that allows you to basically remove all mortal limits for training along with collateral damage, Sort of convenient when you want to do intense things."

“Parents do what is best for their children even if it’s misguided at times.” A small smile appeared as she thought about her training it wasn’t all bad there was some good times and good things that came from it. If her father wasn’t hard on her with training and poisons she wouldn’t know all the ones known to mortal and the antidotes.
“Though it does provide a good distract in a fight.” Sai smirked a bit. Even all the while her mind was wondering why she was acting so relaxed and calmed. It normally took awhile for her to warm up to someone to be like this but after less than three meetings she had warmed up to Adrain. Her fingers ran over the outfit once again as she nodded her head. “I do plan to. No I wasn’t aware that you room like that here.”
“Would you mind if I change into the outfit?” Should he say she she would adjust her body, the familiar crackling of bones the shifting of her muscles as she took on a more masculine appearance before stripping and changing into outfit.

"Well that's the positive way of looking at it I suppose." he says, not having the same beliefs fully on the subject on his end of the equation. The comment about distraction made him laugh a little.
"Yes...that is the virtue of using distraction well. Being able to confuse an opponent makes things a lot easier. I had a sparring match with an angel the other day where I used shadows to tickle her, in that moment of distraction I was able to charge and strike her shield leaving her very confused and irritated. Kind of funny really. " he says, then looking at her and nodding as she mentioned changing. The shape change made him raise a brow, but he turned away as she started to actually strip.
"I suppose it would be handy to be able to change your appearance and fundamental anatomy like that, I imagine breasts would only slow down movement when a combat got to situation.". At the very least, it got rid of the problem with attraction somewhat. When she was done he would make a portal to the ARC and when the two were in there, he would sit in one of the stone glyphs on the floor, as thousands of runes light to life in the room around.
"Ease your mind, let the spell into unconsciousness take you and you will awaken in the shared dreamscape where you will be able to practice and do anything without consequence. One of the more useful things I've made in my second life." he says calmly as he then seemed to space out.
Once Sai would cross over, the area would be a dusty desert land with cliffs and sparse fauna. Adrain would stand atop a hill as the winds blow and sands kick up. Everything would seem real...almost.
