Lilith had the day off from the library today, and though it happened often -there was a surprising amount of workers there- it was always nice for her. This time, she took the chance to go on a much needed hike into the forest. She knew of the dangers that this particular forest held, but she knew that as long as she took her regular way, she was unlikely to run into any unwanted beings or monsters. Before she left her house, she'd made sure to put on a cloak, knowing that the trees would conceal the sunlight, giving the effect of a cool night, though it was only early evening to late afternoon. So now she donned a light green floor length dress, simple and sweet with a regular bodice, laced with white ribbon, and her ivory cloak, concealing her back, and part of her front. She'd decided that even though her hair was likely to catch on branches and leaves, that it was more comfortable down, and so she kept it that way, flowing and wavy down her back. With the hood to her cloak up though, it was nearly concealed as well, save for the thick locks that surrounded her face and fell below her hands to her knees. In the sunlight it shone like the brightest gold, which is why she chose to keep the hood up, to keep herself from gathering attention. For a girl whom avoided people, she was gifted with such odd beauty that brought on the looks of many. It was an irony she despised some days.
She grabbed a woven basket to collect her herbs with, and left. Within minutes she was at the edge of the forest, not living terribly far from it in the first place. Without hesitation she wandered in, knowing that what she needed was a good hours journey inside the woods. As she walked she hummed along to the natural sounds around her. There was no particular tune that she followed, but moved and switched depending on what her elven ears detected around her, be it the song of a bird or the swaying of leaves in the wind. Her eyes wandered as she walked her steady but relaxed pace, taking in the bits of colour as she spotted birds or flowers, but she didn't stop - that she knew better of.
After about ten minutes, she could feel the heat of the sun through the thick leaves of the tall trees and decided that she was far enough in that it wouldn't matter, and stopped to remove her hood, pulling her hair out from under it. It was like a blanket was lifted off of her shoulders, having the hair our from under the cloak as it was. Lilith let out a soft sigh as she shook it out from around her face. She then continued to walk, and as rays of sunlight made their way through the gaps of the trees, they glimmered off of her hair and shot bursts of light onto other things, as though her hair was a mirror of the light. It floated behind her as the cloak did, giving the effect that it was instead her cape, one of gold and silver.

Sima had spent his night in the forest, without a home, he survived on the land. Of course, Sima was neither broke, but refused to waste money on Inns or taverns. The night carried on smoothly, and Sima was a particular fast being when using his powers. He was able to catch a rabbit for his breakfast. When he began cooking it the smell wafted through the forest. Now many animals with a keen scent like Sima's picked this scent up very quickly. Sima was used to his scent carrying weight among other creatures, before, no animal would tread to steal his food, but in this world things were much different. When Sima left to gather more wood a wolf had sneakily entered his camp and stolen his goods. When Sima returned to find this intrusion his immediate thought was to retrieve what was his. The wind was coming uphill, and it allowed him to get a good sense of where everything was in the forest. He made his way quickly following the scent of the creature as it moved. Sima wanted to surprise this animal, so he kept in an area where his scent would not travel to it. Sima was doing what he was meant to, track, which many say a demon was meant to hunt and kill. Sima's objective however was not to kill the beast, but to just retrieve stolen goods. Sima was keeping up with the wolf rather easily, it helped that it had not noticed him. Sima kept an eye on the approaching scent of a woman. The wolf was heading towards the woman, but it's pattern was off. Sima had not seen a wolf that made no sense like this one, it wasn't with other wolfs, so attacking a woman, without backup was out of the question. Sima did not think that it knew he was chasing it, however, this could explain it's behavior. Sima picked up his speed to catch up with the wolf before it came into sight of the woman. Despite the two creatures speed they were oddly silent, making no sound among the backdrop of the forest's silence.
When the wolf broke out into the path and appeared in front of the woman, Sima felt as if he had no choice but to stop his chase. Any normal person would think that it was almost impossible to chase down a wolf on foot, so by stopping he just reassured his humanity to whoever saw it. "Come back!" Sima sounded like a desperate wanderer who just had his food taken. Sima didn't realized exactly how long he was tracking that wolf until he looked at the sun in the far distance through the tops of the forest. He sighed lightly with his head down knowing that he could not chase this wolf at the speed needed with a witness. "You win wolf," He muttered under his breath angrily, going as far to throw his hands down in defeat. He coughed slightly as the dust that had arisen from his abrupt stop had found itself into Sima's nose. He rubbed it quickly, having such a sensitive nose meant that it bothered him immensely. This was enough to make him almost forget the woman in front of him. He then realized what had happened and looked at her for a brief moment with wide open eyes. "Hi." He spoke abruptly feeling like he had to say something.. Sima stood up to his full six foot length, confused as to what to say. He then pointed to the direction the wolf had taken off. "The wolf took my rabbit.." Sima felt like he had to explain himself, and see if she noticed anything odd about him, other then his confused way of approaching her with a friendly attitude.
Sima found himself slightly nervous in front of her, could she tell he was not human? Sima found himself staring at her by accident, but their was nothing else he could do but wait and see if things had in fact gone to plan. He sniffed the air, although hid it as if it was the air he needed to live. He took note of what that wolf was doing in case it decided to return to them.

Lilith was more than oblivious to the chase going on behind her, as she strolled along, humming, nearly at her chosen destination. The sun had gone down some, adding a bit of chill to the air, with addition to the slight breeze within the forest. After a few moments she thought she heard a slight rustle not to far off to the left behind her. Her elven ears twitched, attempting to hear more while also not faltering in her pace. The sound seemed to fade away, and Lilith let of a soft puff of breath, as she had tensed up in that moment. Without warning, a wolf pounced out of the bushes and in front of her, causing her to drop her basket.
Ahhh! Lilith fell backwards into a mess of her hair and her cloak, her lilac eyes wide with fear. Slowly she reached for the dagger she kept in her boot, but before she could reach it, the creature turned and sped away in the direction Lilith was heading. She heard someone not to far behind her yell for it to come back, and she jumped up to face whomever it was, making sure she pulled the dagger out of her boot without them noticing. She shielded her dominate hand with the edge of the cloak, not bothering to dust off her dress, or pull the twigs that were no doubt scattered within her hair.
Her heart was beating quickly, not one for combat or confrontation of any sort, and she stared at the man before her, not responding right away when he greeted her awkwardly. He was tall, though not incredibly taller than her. As she was speculating, he spoke of the wolf, and how it had stolen food from him.
A shame. Merciless creatures, wolves are. Her voice held little emotion, though it shook slightly, as her whole body did, uncontrollably. The man seemed friendly enough, but she wasn't taking chances. She knew that in any combat, she would lose immediately to him, but she was a good runner. As she was thinking of different escape routs, if it came down to that, she noticed that he was staring at her, almost without meaning to, and he seemed just as startled as she. He seemed distracted though, for reasons she didn't know.
Why are you so deep in these woods? It is rare people come out here. It is dangerous you know, creatures and monsters lurk all around here. She was acting brave, like she knew how to take care of the monsters she spoke off. She was trying to be the way she envisioned Aria would be.
And how were you able to be so close behind that animal? I could hear that it was moving rather quickly... Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she tightened her grip on the hidden dagger, tilting her head ever so slightly, trying to get a better look at him. Her eye site wasn't the greatest, and he was a good ten feet away from her. She couldn't pick out any particular details.

Sima looked at her noticing that she looked rather nervous. Sima scratched the back of his head slightly nervous at her questioning. Sima's hair was long, just long enough to pass his shoulders, if only by a little bit. His hair was dark brown, and seemed to compliment his blue eyes. Sima wore a light blue jacket that hung over a white undershirt, and with a pair of light brown pants. Sima began to wonder how he could possibly answer these questions. The woman certainly asked a lot of questions, and to his surprise she also brought up his speed. Sima thought it was best to approach the situation by answering her questions as truthfully as possible. "I was camping in the forest!" he smiled brightly towards her, and began an innocent laugh. Sima felt as if he could be bringing on more questions by providing these answers. "I don't know how I was able to keep up with the wolf, I guess I'm naturally fast!" Sima scratched the back of his head nervously. "I only wish that I could catch it, and get my meal back" Sima sighed slightly depressed at the sound of stomach responding to the lack of food. Sima could tell she was rather intimated, perhaps it was true that animals could smell fear, and if that was true it would certainly mean Sima could do the same.
Sima approached her, breathing in the air once again to get a sense of his surroundings. Was this woman the only one here? Was she being followed? Were the wolfs going to return? All of the questions that needed to be answered. Sima answered these questions using his nose, he could smell the location of the wolves, tell if anyone else was nearby, he used his nose to figure out if he was safe or not. The wolves were not too far, but, they were no threat to himself. Sima approached rather casually, as if he did not think she was anything to be afraid. Neither did Sima expect her to pull a dagger on him. "So, why are you deep in the forest?" Sima asked curiously using her question against her. "OH!" Sima spoke as if he forgot something important.
"I totally forgot, introductions need to come first!" He spoke as if forgetting something like that was a bad omen. "Hi, I'm Sima Oratio" Sima showed no boundary issues or fear from the female, nor did he really suspect her to be too afraid of him. The small hints of fear he was picking up from her only made him worried. Was she actually afraid of him? Sima couldn't help but feel depressed, his entire life people had been afraid of what he was. Perhaps this woman was no different? Sima was slightly disgusted in himself realizing that he could be the point of her fear, rather then the wolf. He couldn't help but remember the thousands of people that only looked at him with terror. Sima was not a person, he was a monster, and that's all others seemed to see him as given enough time. Perhaps this woman was smarter then the others and realized this sooner. Sima reached his hand out to hers, but for a brief moment hesitated. Sima wanted to ask her a question, but before he could form the words a nervous feeling shot through his body. Sima didn't have the heart to ask her, he was afraid he already knew the answer to his question, she was afraid of him.

No one who is smart camps out here Sir. Her boldness was starting to whither, as he came closer to you. She let his speed go for the moment, not caring enough to focus on the improbability with him being naturally fast enough to chase a wolf. Her anger too, started to fade as she could tell he was hungry, and not lying about the food. If she'd had anything on her, she'd no doubt offer it to him, under different circumstances.
Though her voice was faltering, her stance stayed strong, as she stood tall, her hand still covered, as well as the silver dagger within it. She refused to move. Her eyes however, were flitting about, catching as many details as she possibly could, from how her scratched his head nervously, to how he took the air in around him, almost as though he was tracking something...
When he approached her further she was given no choice but to break her stance, that or be closer than she felt comfortable to the stranger. It seemed as though he was becoming more on edge than she, and it was concerning to her. It couldn't possibly be her doing that to him could it?
Lilith Harmonia... Her voice now was soft, all the acting falling out of it. She knew she wouldn't have it in her to hurt him even if she needed to, but the dagger was still there, she had no way to put it back without him seeing her do so. Her eyes stayed glue to his face, watching every flit of emotion on it, and she was able to notice a hint of sadness in his incredibly blue eyes and it caused her to drop the stiff pose completely, and the cloak lost it's hold on her shoulder, unveiling her right hand and the dagger it held. She no longer intended to use it, not really, but she could do nothing now that it was out and visible.
Just before, she'd seen him raise is hand as though to shake hers, but her right hand was clearly occupied. Without thinking she raised hers as well, to shake his, but it looked as though she were raising the dagger at him. Lilith looked down at their hands, no yet touching, and jumping at the sight of herself holding it, dropping the thing in the process.
Goodness! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to- She cut herself off, not knowing how to continue. She turned and picked up her empty basket, leaving the shining dagger in the dirt.
Sima, it's a pleasure to meet you. She firmly put her hand out to his, waiting to shake it, but not wanting to just grab his, as she was uncertain of how he'd react, after her having a weapon pointed at him.

"Maybe I am stupid then.." Sima shrugged mostly meaning that as a joke. Sima could filter some of her actions out, she stood tall, but it was not perfect. Sima could sense she was perhaps trying very hard at first to stand her ground. Did he really have such a menacing figure? He raised an eyebrow curiously. "Lillith Harmonia?" Sima was only saying the words once again to get a re-assurance on the ring it had when spoken. Sima was not expecting what happened next. When Sima went to shake her hand, and complete the introductions, she seemingly raised a dagger at him. For a moment Sima was shocked, yet not afraid.
A dagger wasn't something to be feared, and Sima didn't even jump back at the sight. "Goodness! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to-" She spoke quickly realizing what she had done. Sima only looked confused, he thought it was apparent she was not the type of person to hold a weapon. Sima had not noticed the dagger earlier, he had been doing what he learned was polite when discussing anything with a individual. Sima was looking in her eyes, and the dagger had caught him completely surprised. Sima knew that a feeble weapon like that would take a good amount of hits in to actually do some serious damage on himself, but he couldn't help but remember a few instances of his past involving such feeble weaponry.
Sima remembered his home world. and he remembered the weaponry of the humans of that world. Before Sima was transferred to this world, he was what you could call immortal. He didn't age, and he obtained immense power that could make any man jealous. Most people would want this power, but Sima was the opposite. He found it to be curse, watching his loved ones age and die, feeling their blood in between his hands, or simply seeing the look on their faces when he finally snapped and they knew exactly what he was. A dagger was nothing in comparison.
"It's a pleasure to meet you too," Sima responded with a kind smile, despite her drawing of the weapon that she had now dropped to the ground. "I don't get it.." He laughed, not too concerned of the situation otherwise.

Lilith was relieved that her took her hand. Though her weapon was initially intended for him, she didn't want to frighten him by it now. Mind you, she knew she was the farthest thing from frightening. Lilith took the chance to finally remove the leaves and twigs from her hair, as they had been itching and bothering her the entire time. Once they were out, which only took a moment, she smoothed it out and let it float back down around her, catching on the rays of sunlight around them.
You don't get what? Lilith asked this absently while leaning down to pick up the lost dagger. She lifted the skirt of her dress to reveal her high laced boots and placed it back in its hiding place within her left one. Standing straight she tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear and smiled at him. She felt absolutely terrible for pointing a weapon at him, whether it bothered him at all or not, and she didn't want him to think she was some sort of savage, or crazy person. She took pride in her simplicity, and wasn't embarrassed by it.
While she waited for his answer, she took a quick glance around the area they were standing in, and managed to find a small bush of berries that she knew were edible. With one more glance at him, she stepped towards it, and picked a decent amount of them, putting them into the basket, and walking back over to stand in front of him. Without a word, she extended the basket out to him, offering them.
The wolf took your food...so... She looked away, for some reason nervous about her simple gesture.

Sima looked at her curiously as he watched the wind effortlessly move the trees so quietly in the background. He watched in silence as she retrieved the dagger from the earth's grasp. Lillith then went as far as to put the dagger away. Sima curiously watched where she hid this dagger in case she for some reason became hostile, however he doubted any circumstance like that. Sima then noticed both her ear, and her smile. Sima's eyes popped in curious thought. What was she? Sima had never seen someone who looked so regular, yet so different. Sima scrunched up his face slightly in an amusing way as he was lost in thought. Sima was now curious enough to re-evaluate her scent. Sima took in a breath, but hid the fact he was sniffing for her scent by making it appear as if this was the air he needed for breathing. She smelled of Lilacs and strawberries, which only lead to more questions. The scent was oddly not strong, so she either found a natural perfume that was not harsh, at least to a nose like his, or she was eating a bunch of strawberries earlier. Obviously he could only become more intrigued and confused.
Sima didn't realize how much time had passed, and before he knew Lillith was handing him a basket of berries. "I don't get you.." Sima laughed nervously. "You are threatening me with a dagger one moment, and the next you are handing me something to eat" Sima spoke with a smug grin, he was obviously just trying to get a reaction from her. Sima didn't know why he was treating her this way, but her attitude was faintly familiar, and he felt rather safe despite the area. Sima peered in the basket and looked at the berries, assuming they were good to eat he reached in and grabbed a few. Sima stuffed them into his mouth, but kept himself from taking the entire basket like some sort of animal. "Why don't we just share them?" Sima spoke calmly. "I'd rather not eat alone anyways, It's rude to eat in front of someone without them also enjoying something." Sima spoke honestly with his beliefs. Even if she did offer this food, he felt like she should also enjoy some of it. Sima grabbed another few berries to hold in his hand and take one at a time whilst approaching conversation.
"So Lilith, what do you do? If you mind me asking." Sima approached the question casually while taking one of the berries and popping it into his mouth.

Lilith was oblivious to his gaze, she always was when people noticed her. But she let out a soft laugh, like the chiming of bells when he spoke.
I didn't mean to be threatening! She looked away stubbornly, her face a soft shade of pink. It was simply for self defence, in case, you know, you turned out to be crazy... Not that I'm threatening at all. She peeked back to him without fully facing him, and cracked a large grin, realizing the humour in it all. She watched as he took a handful of berries, stuffing them into his mouth. She stifled a giggle. She had assumed correctly about his hunger, and for some reason she was pleased to help him with it. She reached into the basket and withdrew a few berries for herself.
I would love to share them! These happen to be one of my favourites, though they are nothing compared to strawberries. She laughed again, popping a berry into her mouth. She didn't mind simply standing there with him, talking and eating. It certainly was odd, but it wasn't a bad type of odd at all. She answered his next question with a shy sense of pride in her tone. For some reason she took great pride in her work, no matter how unimportant it seemed to most.
Well, I work at the Nova Library. Well actually, that's my main job. I do request art on the side. She took herself by surprise, telling him about her art. She normally kept that to herself, her clients being the only ones who knew, and only them by word of mouth. Lilith really didn't tell people about her portraits or personal request pieces, but it was an extra way to get money.
What about you Sima? What is it that you do? She spoke lightly, popping another berry through her glossy pink lips. I don't believe I've ever seen you around town before, or within this forest, and though it's true I don't get out much, you certainly have a recognizable face. She smiled and continued.
And also, why were you camping in this forest? I wasn't kidding when I said it was dangerous. Why do you think I carry a knife with me for crying out loud!? Not just for looks, I assure you! By the end of her speech she was again laughing, but she had also voiced her true concerns. Her soft lilac eyes were wide, staring at him, as though they too were expressing her concern for him. She didn't like fooling with danger, and didn't like when others tried to.

"I don't think many people mean to be, or want to be threatening," Sima spoke what he truly believed. "I mean, it would be kind of sad if everyone was afraid of you, you'd have no friends" Sima laughed, obviously speaking from his own view on the thought, and hiding his true feelings for speaking about something so oddly personal. Sima looked at her with a small stare of confusion. He couldn't help but notice she was completely right with her second line of speech. "Yes! I am so crazzzey!" Sima used the sarcastic tone to play a little joke, but also to hide the fact that he felt like he was crazy from time to time. For Sima, a demon raised by humans, controlling his powers wasn't the easiest thing to do. Many a time did he lose control, and feel like he was crazy for doing so, not understanding what had gone on during the time period, it put immense amounts of stress on his mental well being. Strawberries, Sima knew it! That had to be why the smell was plastered on her. Sima smiled without any real reason other then figuring his nose was right on the money.
A librarian, certainly sounded great. Their was no fighting at least, and it sounded peaceful. "I sort of work as a freelance," Sima responded honestly. "I take up job requests for services I provide, it often keeps me on the move in search for more work." Sima decided he could admit the real reason he does the work for. "The real reason I do those jobs however are because I dream of opening up my own restaurant!" Sima spoke almost like a child believing that everything will go his way in life. "I love to cook, bake, I guess It's not really the cooking that makes me enjoy it, but the expression on someone's face when they bite into happiness!" Sima laughed nervously, scratching the back of his head once again. "I want to find the best location for my restaurant, so the travelling really suits my needs until I can find that special spot!" Sima couldn't help but speak of it like a fond memory.
"Camping in the forest may not be safe, but it helps me reduce a lot of cost, and it gets me that much closer to opening up my restaurant!" Sima laughed, it was a simple enough explanation but it was only half the truth that one was looking for. When Sima turned to look into her eyes again his heart sank like a anvil thrown into water. How did he not see this before? The purple eyes that looked into his froze his body with fear. This was not because she was terrifying in any way, but the eyes only reminded him of a distant past. The eyes that stared back at him didn't even seem to belong to Lillith anymore, they were no longer hers, they were a tool to remind Sima of the failure that he turned out to be. What good was a father that could not protect his children, a husband that is betrayed, what was the use of an ageless man who could only watch others age to death, or end them with his own hands. The only thing that those purple eyes told him was what he was. Sima Oratio was a monster, and the purple eyes that stared into his only reminded him of that fact.
It was so devastating that Sima was having a hard time keeping his composure. He kept himself from breaking down by looking away from her eyes, although this made him look very awkward socially. Sima looked for the basket carrying the berries almost desperately. "Are they any more berries?" Sima scratched the back of his head nervously whilst keeping eye contact to a minimum.

Lilith couldn't help but agree with Sima. She too believed that no one truly ever wanted to be feared. Fear was an emotion yet it was also a paradox on itself, almost. People are afraid of fear, to feel it or to inflict it. Yet, for Lilith, it was the opposite. People didn't fear her, far from it. But she feared them, and so she didn't really have friends, not until recently, and still very few. Lilith laughed, using her hand to cover her mouth at the same time. Sima could certainly be crazy if he wanted to, of that Lilith didn't doubt, but she knew now, that he wasn't.
A freelance? Well you certainly don't see many of those anymore, other than the Fated of course, but that's understandable. Can you imagine that? Being ripped out of your world, the place you call home, into a new one, completely different? I don't think I could handle that, I really don't... Lilith shook her head, a small wave of sadness sweeping over her for all the Fated whom missed their homes.
But Nova could really use a good restaurant, I won't lie. We have a few here and there, but I will admit I've never found a great one. She smiled at him, shaking herself of the sadness from before. I hope you find your spot, and I hope it's near by so I can try the food! She laughed again, joking, but there was a hint of seriousness to it. Lilith took food seriously. She loved it.
Lilith didn't notice at first, the silence that had enveloped them, but once she did, she also noticed that the whole mood had changed. She looked at Sima curiously, her brow furrowing with slight worry. Had she said something wrong? She saw that he was looking at her, yet right through her, as though she were no longer there. But as soon as it started, it stopped, as Sima jumped and looked around for more berries.
Yes, I can go grab some more... Lilith took the basket, and with one more worried glance at Sima, she turned and picked more of the berries, making sure to make the pile a bit larger this time, now that they were sharing. Once she was done, she stood and slowly made her way back over to him.
Sima... are you alright? She tilted her head at him, attempting to make eye contact. Is there anything I can do to help you? Or was it something I said...? She trailed off, expecting his answer to be the latter, and handed him the basket of berries before stepping away from him. Her face was flushed, but she wasn't blushing. She was holding her breath. She felt that she had done something wrong, offended him, and for some reason, the thought of that put tears in her eyes which she was now trying to push back down.

Sima didn't want to imagine it, yet live it. However, these were the cards that fate had dealt him. It certainly was interesting to see this new world in a perspective only someone like himself could see. Sima was glad that she was interested in the idea of his restaurant. I future customer for the books no? He could only imagine the future shape and styling of his restaurant, yet dare not even try to explain its architecture, it was from a different world and had many differences. Sima could feel the sudden tenseness in the air, he could tell she had figured something out. Sima was beginning to think that he should just suck it up, and so that's exactly what he did. Despite the tremendous amount of suffering those purple eyes reminded him of, he chose to look into them anyways. Sima had made a promise after all, and that was he would make up for the blood that was on his hands. Sima knew that this was only a small gesture, but it was proper to put someone else's feelings above his own. When she asked if something was alright, it was as if nothing was at all. Sima took the basket in his hands, and grabbed a large enough mouthful. He chomped the berries looking at her curiously. Despite what he was thinking, and what her eyes reminded him of, he looked into them regardless, and he approached with a proper attitude, despite how he was actually feeling.
"What are you talking about?" He spoke with a mouthful. This was after all something Sima had to learn to do, if people knew what he was really thinking all the time, then his secret would have been blown many years ago. Sima raised his eyebrow as to entice thought. "I don't know what your talking about.." Sima spoke with a mouthful of berries, somehow getting across a playful grin, still chewing as many berries as he could fit into his mouth. Sima had a good way of coping things that made him feel depressed, stressed, or nervous, and it worked pretty well to a tee as long as the situation wasn't too dire. Sima noticed how she took a step away from him, he curiously wondered why. Was she afraid yet again? Was their something he missed. Sima breathed in the area around him, filling his brain with a mental image of the area, however quite able to hide this amid the regular breathing of his own. Was there something Sima was missing? That was right, Sima was supposed to keep track of the wolves! Sima eyed around the area, not seeing any in sight, but knowing something that would be crucial for the female in front of him. Sima kept this information to himself however, he decided telling her that they were surrounded by wolves, while not actually being able to see them, may not be the best choice in trying to keep himself as a regular person.
"Maybe I should sell berry pies.." Sima spoke as if nothing was wrong, and he spoke surprisingly well without any undertone or fear. Of course this was because he wasn't afraid any amount of wolves, they were petty animals, at least as far as a demon was concerned. Sima shook his head angrily, he wanted to get the thought out of his head, Sima was not a demon! At least, he wanted to believe that.

Lilith let out a large breath, the tears finally giving up. As she did so, she looked over at Sima and saw him stuff a bunch of berries in his mouth. She couldn't help but laugh. A lot. Perhaps she imagined the whole thing before, but his reaction now threw her over. She laughed and laughed, and then laughed even harder when he grinned at her through the mouthful of berries. By the time she was able to stop and breathe again, she was sitting on the ground, holding her sides. She wiped at her eyes, and stood up.
I'm not sure why, but that was just too funny- She cut herself off as her ears twitched. She could hear something, but she wasn't able to place what just yet. She absently brushed off her dress, and pulled all of her hair around and over her right shoulder, just listening. She heard Sima when he spoke of selling berry pies, and she nodded in agreement, without really knowing what she was agreeing to.
Sima, She spoke after a moment, her eyes narrowed as she looked off into the distance behind him. Do you hear anything? She wasn't sure what was going on, but she knew something was near them. Her heart started to beat faster, and she turned to look behind her as well, fear building in her chest.

Sima couldn't understand why she was laughing so incoherently. He just smiled and continued with the act. It seemed to have worked anyways, and she seemed to be enjoying herself anyways. Sima watched as she was even to the point of falling on the ground with laughter. At the sight of this Sima couldn't help but laugh a little himself. This helped him feel a little better too with the situation he was facing with this new friend of his. Sima then looked at her as she seemed to be noticing something. Did she hear the wolves? Sima thought curiously. It was a possibility, perhaps the shape of her ears allowed her to hear from farther distances? Sima thought it was a logical explanation for one that had never seen a elf. Sima watched curiously as she fixed her hair and dress, watching her ears whenever he could see them. He wondered if they twitched when they were focusing in on something. That would a lot like an animal, Sima thought it would be rather interesting. Sima noticed her more when she spoke asking if he noticed anything. Sima was tracking all the wolves already, he knew there hunting patterns well. Although he could only smell one half of the wolf pack the pattern indicated some behind them.
Sima looked at her and pointed at the safest escape route. "RUN! Sima perhaps said that with a little too much emphasis. Sima spoke just as the wolves attack, luckily these animals were smart. Instead of choosing Lillith, the majority of animals chose Sima who was the larger animal of the two. One wolf however decided it was best to go after Lillith, only however because it seen their were already too many attacking the male. These wolves certainly acted odd. Sima turned as the animals approached him, feeling the only way to act would be when Lillith was out of sight. So Sima let the animals bite into him. One bit into his leg, and Sima dropped to a knee. Sima then used his hands to kep the rest at bay while they circled. A few got grips on his hands, but Sima didn't seem to be bothered as much as she should have been. Sima could blame this on adrenaline, or many other things at least.

The word "Run" was the only thing that registered in her mind, and she took off in the direction Sima had pointed to her. She stumbled over herself, her feet catching on roots and twigs. She risked a glance behind her only to find two major problems:
One: There was a wolf quite close behind her, closing the distance between her and itself. Lilith knew she would have to face it, running wouldn't get her far, when she was running deeper into the forest, rather than out of it.
Two: Sima. She couldn't leave him behind. She didn't count them, but she knew there were far more than two wolves, and only one with with her... When she looked back, she was able to catch a glimpse of the man surrounded by beasts. They tore into him, left and right, and he just let them, not fighting back at all.
Sima!!! Her voice rang loud and clear, full of fear and worry, none for herself. Lilith stopped running. There was no way she was just going to let him be torn apart. She was face to face with the wolf now, and it's teeth were shinning in front of her. It simply watched her, growling, with its yellow eyes gleaming with menace. Lilith was shaking like a cornered bunny rabbit. Tears pricked her eyes. How could she even try to go back and help him when she couldn't even help herself? Lilith sobbed aloud, slowly reaching down for her dagger, inside her boot. The wolf growled louder, not liking her movements. Lilith shut her eyes, squeezing them tightly, and quickly closed the distance between her hand and the hilt. Her ears twitched furiously as she heard the wolf pounce towards her and she thrust the dagger out, the only protection she had.
The momentum of the wolf threw them both back into a tree, three feet behind her. Lilith felt it's claws against her face and arms, tearing open the skin. But it did not bite her. Actually, it no longer moved at all... Lilith, breathing quick, shallow breaths, opened her eyes and let out a small scream. It's snout was facing up, looking right at her. But it's eyes held no emotion, nor did they blink. As quickly as she could, she pushed the wolf off of her, leaving the dagger where it was buried in it's chest. Somehow she managed to kill it, but she doubted it was luck. Without thinking, she ran back to Sima, completely unarmed now, but wanting to help him. She need to make sure he was okay.
There's no way he survived that. There had to have been at least three more! She was still trembling and tears ran down her face, mixed with blood from where the wolf have torn the skin on her face. Her arms stung as well, not liking the tugging of the wounds as she ran. Her dress was no longer simply a light green, but a green now mixed with small crimson dots. She would be fine, that she knew. Her cloak however, was beyond repair, torn to shreds. She ran all the way back to where they were eating, not stopping until she got there.
