Rivers smiles as Lia mentions that she would like to be in a carriage that flies, but he couldn't afford to provide the explanation behind airships to the people of this age, if they were created it would cause a major power imbalance that would probably tip the military stand still that was currently preventing a large scale war. "You wouldn't be bothering me if you come to ask, we are working together after all, besides flying is best when there is a lovely lady there too." He admits honestly.
He was a little surprised to hear about the age difference for Aimee's race, but he supposed it wasn't the strangest thing he'd heard and he wasn't really sure how he felt about a 1 year old making a living as a dancer so he decided not to pursue that train of thought.
Rivers listen to them and nods. "I think traveling is good going places and having experiences are what life's all about. If the two of your are interested would you like to go check out some places after we are done in here? I'm a bit curious to see the land I ended up in and it sounds like neither of your are anxious to go back to the city." Rivers suggests.

It takes a bit for Lia to process that the woman she had been talking to could only be considered one year old. It appeared no one in this spring aged like normal humans. They were certainly odd bunch, but maybe that was why they were all here instead of at the arena.
At the mention of a pet, Lia smiles. She always loved small animals. “You have a cat? You should have brought her… My dad never let me have an animal growing up. And I always worry I wouldn’t have enough time to take care of one now.”
Lia shakes her as Amiee claims not to be interesting. “No. You seem plenty interesting, but coming up with a list of facts on the spot is difficult. And I asked a pretty general question before.”
She considers leaving the springs to wander the wilderness outside of the city. While it was cold, the trip would be more interesting than solitude in the springs, as relaxing as that was. “Sure. I didn’t really have any plans for this evening… or the other evenings for the rest of the week for that matter. Where did you want to go?”

Amiee nodded, "I am sure your father had a reason. Not many people keep a cat or dog as a simple pet, most only have them if it's for a reason." It was true, she has seen many cats and dogs homeless because not many people wanted to take them in as pets. Since some of the fated had some less has ended up being homeless, but still the sadness in the cat's voice as they tell her they stories of being abandon she visited they were more she could do for them. "If you're worried that you couldn't have enough time care for a pet. I can let you borrow Starlight for a few days to see how well it goes." She suggested after all if someone did want a pet she didn't see anything in seeing how they deal with a test companion who can tell her if they should get a pet or not.
Feeling better at Lia's explanation, thinking on it, she did realize that coming up with a list of facts about oneself on the spot was a hard thing.
"I don't mind coming. But before we go, can we stop in town. I just to get a message to one of the cats there to let Starlight know that she could join us. Plus she lives the area outside of the city, since they are more trees for her to climb in." Hopefully they agreed, because she just needs to let one of the cats in town know, they will quickly get the message to Starlight and in maybe 15 minutes tops Starlight would be yelling at her for leaving her behind. She really did need to take her everywhere with her, from now on after all.

Rivers listens to the pair talk and leans back while closing his eyes. Each had their own story, this was a pretty interesting pair.
"Well to be honest I am not sure where we should go, I would be interested in seeing Heavens Pass in this timeline, but if you would rather, we could go somewhere else. I am willing to take suggestions, and I should probably mention that travel time is not really an issue that is needed for consideration." He explains simply before sinking deeper into the water.

“Well, he was a mercenary, so he was busy and travelled a lot. So yes, there was a reason. I never said my disappointment was logical, but it’s still there,” Lia says with a smile. No, her father did the right thing by not letting her have a pet. It would have been dead inside a month if she was honest with herself.
“I’ll be alright. Watching someone else’s cat would seem like having a house guest more than owning a pet, except with a lot of awkward silence as I can not speak cat, and I’ve never met a cat who could speak Novian.” At this point in her life, it probably wasn’t the wisest idea to own a pet. Maybe when she moved into a large home somewhere, she’d reconsider the idea.
Lia shrugs at the suggestion of stopping by the city first. It was strange to think there was some kind of cat communication network, but the cat lady probably knew more about cats than herself. “I don’t have a problem stopping at town first.”
“I didn’t have much in the way for suggestions. Maybe the Dragon Breath Falls, but the Falls look better in the spring than in the winter. However, I don’t mind going to Heaven’s Pass. Anything you wanted to see in particular or did you just want to see the mountains?” she asked.

Amiee giggled at Lia's logic, even while travelling she still wanted a pet even if it didn't make sense to her. She could also see why her father wouldn't allow her to have a pet after all travelling with a pet could be hard if you can't understand what they say.
"I never thought about it as Starlight being a house guest. You don't need to speak cat to understand simple things like gestures of tail could tell you how they feel." After all, animals were just like humans they didn't always speak with words but with body language. It was strange to go her to that not many people realize it at first.
"Okay. Also the other side of Heaven's Pass is quite beautiful this time of year. If we are heading to the mountains." Stopping to think for a moment, she thought about the small villages up in the mountains also those on the other side. "Rivers were you thinking of seeing one of the villages up in the mountains?" She asked, and having heard his story maybe he wanted to see his home in this timeline and world, maybe even see someone he might have known from his own world.

"Traveling with a pet is tough if they are not capable of taking care of themselves." Rivers admits as he listens to the conversation. As he thinks about it though, Muse was more a family member than a pet, she was also far smarter than any other crow he'd met so it probably was not fair to think of her in that way.
Though as they seem to come to some manner of agreement about where they are going Rivers gets up out of the bath, he was wearing a towel that may or may not have been there when this conversation started and he gets out of the water. "Well too much time in the springs will cause one to prune and I am about ready to get going." He admits as he picks up some cloths from nearby and towels off with his back to the girls, though seeming to care little about weather they looked.
Once he was done he dresses in his usual outfit and takes out a bag of rocks from his pocket. "Let me know when the two of you are ready to go he instructs as he sits down and looks up at the sky, though he does not seem to be making any attempts to leave.
After a few moments he shrugs his shoulders and makes a belated reply to Aimee's question. "Well I will admit I am somewhat curious if my village still existed all this time ago, or if it exists at all in this timeline."
