As Lia calls him out on telling her he was from Heaven's Pass he laughs a bit. "Well I can see why you would be confused, I am from heavens pass, but 1000 years and 1,000,000 decisions distant. When I originally came here I thought I had traveled through time, but returned to my original world, that's not the case though. This place is different, far too different from the place I came to possibly be the same world. For one mages are not oppressed, I imagine most of the mages who would one day become the foundation of my hometown are currently in this city studying the craft." He admits, it had been a long time since he had thought about his home, he wondered if what Aria said about most of it being gone was really true.
He lets out a sigh and relaxes into the water, but when Amiee brings up the people who had more attachments in their original worlds he shakes his head.
"People move, forget, and change all the time, coming here is basically no different than leaving your village in another world...well most of them anyways, I've been in one that had the infrastructure to actually move people all across the world. The key though is not what you've lost though, it's what you will do going forward. A Fated, more than anyone else needs to seek enjoyment in the hear and now, they should laugh, love, try to make this world home because it very well might be." He explains, as though he was speaking from experience.
"I don't know what Fate is up to, bringing strangers here, but I think it is a sign that the world needs to change, and sign that this world's fate needs to change as well."

Lia had time to get use to that some people were Fated. They came from vastly different worlds that operated under unusual rules. That was beginning to seem almost normal for life in Nova. Hearing someone was from the future. One thousand years in the future. That was a first for her. “That’s actually pretty amazing. Most of the Fated don’t seem to come from different times, just different places.”
Lia considers the sentiment about moving on. “I think that is easier to do for some people more than others. I can imagine how heartbreaking it would be to have an entire family and then suddenly be ripped away from them. But I guess life keeps moving no matter what.” Unfortunate but true. What else could one do but try to make the best of their situation.
She then rethinks about what else he just said. “You’ve been in one that had the infrastructure to actually move people all across the world. I’m assuming you mean something faster than a boat or horse then. Rivers, just how many other places have you been? And how did you even get there?” She doesn’t know what she is asking that. She doesn’t really expect a straightforward answer.

Amiee now wondered if Rivers was truly from a different time would that mean he has knowledge of what was yet to come. Getting the thought of her mind, knowing that if couldn't be true, even if Rivers did come from a different time period of they current world, it could have been of a world that was greatly similar to this one.
"I guess moving on would be the only thing they could do. Who knows eh." She casted a coy smile. Still it was hard for her to believe that some people would simply move on and live the life that was dealt out to them. Surely some of them would have moments, when something would have reminded them of home and start missing home.
The words that he just said, she couldn't believe it a world where infrastructures move people across the world. Unknowingly she moved closer to him, wondering what kind of world it could have been, wanting to know more about these things. "How did these... things move people? Was it by magic or something else?" Her excitement for new knowledge showed as she hears started to twitch on her head, wanting to know more. "Are they world out there, where humans are not majority race? What about a world without magic? Is there even anything such as that out there?" Her questions being fired off faster than a marksman shooting arrows at a target.

Rivers was surprised by the level of interest that Lia and Amiee took in his previous endeavors, they'd struck him as the more worldly and less interested in other people types, but one thing they said did right true for him. "Moving on is all that can be done, best to make the most of it and have fun along the way." He agrees, he mused that this would actually be a pretty good time to make a pass at one of the pair, if he wasn't so sure it would go down in flames.
Both seemed pretty interested in the infastructure that moved people around. He found himself chuckling a bit "Well you might not believe me, but they had flying boats that moved ten times faster than a galloping hoarse and could maintain that speed for almost an entire day. I don't really know how it worked, but it had something to do with a fuel called gasoline and something called lift and air pressure. Science isn't really my thing."
When Lia asked him how many worlds he'd been to he paused and had to think about the question. "Well...I think this is the sixth world I've been to." he says after a brief pause. He hadn't been in Berk all that long, but he'd spent a long time in the Rune World and sometime on Earth. He shakes his head, no point thinking about this now. "I've gotten there in several ways, with access to enough mana I can open the gate myself but generally I get grabbed and dragged other places. I appeared in the middle of the sea last time."

The mental image of a boat taking off the water and into the sky is fairly odd. The addition of wings improves it only slightly. “I have a feeling that what I am picturing is nothing close to what you are trying to describe.” The word ‘gasoline’ strikes her as unfamiliar and foreign. However, Lia guesses there is probably no analogous thing in this world or else they would also have flying boats.
“Sixth?” Lia repeats. Most of the Fated seem to have done this once. From their world to here. Jumping six times, well, Lia has to guess that he is an expert on letting go of past attachments and moving on. “That a lot of times to start completely over. I feel as though I would be exhausted by that even if I was perfectly alright with being pulled into a completely new world.” She could probably make do if Fate or someone similar placed her somewhere new. She’d miss her father and the friends that she had made, but she’d continue on. She was going to live to be close to 1000 anyways, so she would really only be set back a few years in terms of aspirations. But if she had to do that multiple times, she’d have to wonder if anything was worth starting at all.
Besides the constant world hopping, there was something else that Rivers said that had her curious. “What is life like in the future? One thousand years from now. The mage oppression seems so odd, considering no one seems to have an issue with magic right now. What changed?”

Amiee tried to get the image of a boat in her mind flying, she had to admit that it was an amusing thought. With wings on it seem more like something out a fairy tale than something that could every possibly be real. Nodding with Lia whatever they both were picturing was nothing close to what Rivers might mean. "Could you draw a picture of this flying boat. I would love to see what it looks like."
Amiee didn't really wonder how Rivers was in more than one world. Maybe he has the same ability as Fate to jump different world, but in the end Fate brought him to this period in time. She wondered if any of those worlds that he was in if he thought it was his final world to settle down in just to be pulled back here by Fate.
Her ears perked up when the future was brought up. She didn't want to know what could cause the mages to be stoppered in the future. She just couldn't see how it was possible, unless. "Rivers? Do we go to war with another kingdom in the future?"

He chuckles a bit as both of them try to imagine these "flying boats". "They really aren't anything like what you would expect, but I'll see if I can find a way to show you one at some point. There's another version that's much slower where they basically put a giant balloon and propellers onto a boat and used that to fly. I think both versions have their merits." He admits, the slower and less confined travel of the zeplin was something Rivers truly loved...maybe he could make one here if he could find a craftman and an alchemist.
Though as both the girls ask him about the future he shakes his head. "No, this world is already on a different path from mine and I don't want to sway it back down the one mine was on. Sorry, but I have seen how badly playing prophet can turn out." He apologizes genuinely, he never wanted to be in the situation where he was the only one who knew the future again, he couldn't handle it.
"That all being said, I actually have kind come to enjoy the world hoping, it is sad to leave a world that I grew fond of over time, but at the same time it's like traveling any time. You meet people and go interesting places and in the end you always say goodbye and leave. To be honest I haven't really had a home since I was around 15, and I didn't start world walking until my mid twenties so I don't think it's really that big of a deal" He admits.

The boat with a giant balloon and propellers doesn’t seem that much more reasonable, but it was still better that what she was thinking about it. “Yeah, I’d also like to see something like that.” With the exception of their dance at the ball, she had never flown before. “I imagine that’s more a thing for nobility though. It seems somewhat luxurious.”
While still curious, Lia lets her desire to the know future go. “Let’s hope you are right about being on a different path then. I certainly don’t want us to go to war with another kingdom.” Perhaps, it was better that the future remained uncertain. The converse would have made her feel too hopeless and powerless.
Rivers looked like he was currently in his mid-twenties. “Mid-twenties… So like a few years ago… or…” She had assumed Rivers was human with normal human aging, but that might not be the case evidently. Lack of pointy ears, so elf was out. Brown eyes, so kray was out as well. There was Dova, but she was hoping that wasn’t the case.

The idea of a boat flying with a balloon and propellers did seem possible, in this world as she thought about it. Then Lia was also had a good point that if it was possible only the people of nobility will be able to afford something so luxurious as flying in a boat. Still it would be nice to fly in a boat, even if would only be once in her life.
Hearing that they world was on a different path that Rivers she was thankful for it. Sure she would have liked to know what the future held more but she was still happy that the future would be happier for mages.
Amiee tilted her head since he was 15 didn't have a home and around mid twenties that he started world hopping. "Rivers by chance. Do you know how old you would be right now?" She wondered if he was world hopping that would time flowed different in each world right, so how old would he be right now if he had stayed in his own world and time.

As the girls seems to take an interest in the sky boats Rivers smirks. "Well the balloon flying ships were actually more an an alchemist and artificer thing. Remind me to tell you the story of Hrask the Artificer sometimes." He tells her and then looks up at the sky. "Though the flying metal tubes were available to quite a few people, I'd say someone in your social class could afford to ride one from time to time Lia." Rivers explains "they ended up replacing horses for extremely long journeys."
"That being said I think all the worlds have had their merits and flaws."
Though as both the girls express a desire for no war he frowns and shakes his head. "War will happen eventually, people fight, and sing, and dance, and eat, and die it's part of what people do, but I agree was is not very pleasant, I'd suggest you stay out of it when it does come." He suggests and then leans back and thinks at the next question.
"Well I'd say that is a mystery, but I don't see how telling you two could hurt. Several of the worlds I've been to cause people there to age at slower rates if they meet certain conditions. As a Walker and prophet in one of the worlds I have gained a considerably extended life span." He explains, "That being said I have no idea how old I am in terms of Nova years, probably late 30s?" he says knowing that in fact he was probably closer to 50.

“I feel like the alchemist to invent what you are describing will make a lot of money. I’d definitely be willing to pay to ride a flying balloon boat.” She closes her eyes, indulging the fantasy a bit. However, there were enough alchemists and artificers around to make that possible. “Have you ever considered suggesting the idea to one of the Arch?” she asks.
Lia doesn’t like the idea that war was inevitable. She could deal with uncertainty, but not an unchangeable course to destruction. This was her home. This would always be her home. For it to entirely change due to some unknown war in the future was upsetting to say the least. “I wasn’t particularly planning on participating in any bloody, violent affairs.” However, she isn’t sure exactly where she would go or what she would do if such a thing were to happen.
“Late thirties… The past decade hasn’t seem to have caught up with you at all.” Rivers hardly looked like he had aged since the day he said he started travelling. A smile crosses her face. “So you’re an older-fashioned bard not entirely by choice then?” she jokes.

Hrask the Artificer, she was going to keep that name in mind next time she saw Rivers the story seems to be an interesting one for sure. Looking at Lia, at the mention of someone of her social class, she never really understood what social had to do with most things just that those with the most money seem to believe they were to the top of the world. At the idea shifted back to being able to ride on a flying boat, she looked at the sky wondering if it would feel like being close to the gods and the birds.
Turning her eyes back to the water, Amiee wondered what will happen when war was to come. Would she retreat back into the forest, or at that time she would be able to fully shift into that of a cat and just live out her days with Starlight on the low as cats until the war was over. The second option seemed like, as did the first, then she wondered what people like Lia and Rivers would do, if they can't stay out of the war. "Hopefully, we wouldn't have to take part in any."
Sadly at that point her thoughts shifted again. A war would mean death for many, for others it could lead to a life worse than death. She seen it first hand the slaves that came out of wars as she traveled as a child, they eyes seem hollow as if they were already dead on the inside, while they bodies moved as if not of they own free well, the chains were the worst. She hoped that if war was to come Lia wouldn't be captured and become a slave.
"In your late thirties..." She thought about it, based on his looked he didn't seem to be any other than maybe twenty-five than again that was in terms of being human. Then it would seem that Rivers had about 30 more year ahead of him at least.

Rivers smiles at the thought of bringing the airships here and then shook his head. "No, I am but a simple bard, I have no desire to explain the workings of the other worlds in this one if there is not a reason to do so. I do not want to risk creating problems by providing knowledge the world I am in is not ready for unless I have to." He explains simple and with a flourish of his hand. Though he smiles at Lia as she mentions flying "flying on a machine is nothing compared to standing upon the wind with your own feet."
Though as the two lament war he shrugs, well he supposed that was the normal way to think of war. It was a time of tragedy, and most of the residents of this world did not realize what its actual purpose was.
"War is much like a natural disaster, it's just one humans cause." He says but then stares at the water. A memory of an army of fae marching on an army of adventurers led by two creatures that could only be described as dieties and the destruction that the two bring flashes through his mind.
He smiles and looks back at the two again. "Well let's stop talking about war." when the two seem to fixate on his age he laughs. "Well I suppose I am quite the dashing old man, but to be honest I feel a lot older. Most Walkers don't age at normal rate. As a World Walker I've been exposed to a lot of stuff, some of it has prolonged by lifespan significantly." He admits "but it's not fair for me to be the only one sharing, what about the two of you?"

Well, if Rivers wasn’t going to make one, it probably would just remain as distant as a fairytale. “Too bad. I guess I’ll never see one then.” Lia smiles back at the mention of the dance. “But I’d have to pester you every time I wanted to do that, and I’m sure you’d get sick of it after awhile. Besides this has all the extravagance of carriage ride except it also flies.”
It’s true that they had been asking Rivers quite a few questions about himself, and not really reciprocating. However, his life seemed much more eventful. “What about what about me? Twenty years of age and some left over. I’ve travelled around the kingdom before. I tend to prefer the capitol though. So I can’t say I’m anywhere near as well-travelled as you.”
She looks over to Amiee. “How about you?”

Amiee guessed she understood what Rivers meant that war was simply a natural disaster created by people and not the gods. Still it didn't make it any less sad to think about the future if war was to break out.
She didn't have much to share, she wasn't born in Nova, but compared to Rivers and Lia they seem to lead a more interesting life. "I'm nothing interesting. For started I'm only one, I'll be two in a couple of years. In terms of a human, I would be around 21." She felt that she should explain the age thing since she did age at a slower rate than humans.
"I have a companion that is a cat her name is Starlight. She is going to yell at me for, not taking her to the springs. I use to be with a group of gypsies traveling the land." She didn't want to add to the part about her mother dying, and ending up homeless in Nova with only a few of her belonging and stealing and dancing to make ends meet.
"I don't think they is much else about me. That is interesting." Looking at Rivers and Lia, wondering for a moment if they was any else that she might have left out. "Is there anything else you want to know about me?" She asked being unsure.
