Quiet. Things were so quiet lately. She knew why; she had the dream like everyone else, she knew their would could come crashing down on them at any moment in time. She knew there were people out there- people she knew and cared out - fighting out there to keep they're home safe. Some of which may not even consider Nova their home just yet. None the less Lilith was grateful. But she was also so scared. She was about to bring two beautiful baby boys into this world... and it was crumbling at her feet. A terrifying notion for a first time mom about to give birth.
With things the way they were, everyone was off fighting for their lives, or hiding away. People in the castle didn't seem much different. Noku was shut away most days, working in his office, trying to keep his kingdom alive. She avoided his office lately, avoided anywhere she could run in to Breton. That was why she was out in the gardens. Aside from the infirmary or library, there wasn't very many places else she could roam off into without running into him.
So she sat at a large table, meant for a small party, drawing in her sketchpad. Pregnant as she was, she had a lot of free time on her hands. The only patient she still tended to was Luca, as the rest of the nurses wouldn't let her near the other patients, fearing she could catch something while she was pregnant. She'd already visited with Luca that morning, and just like every morning, Luca wanted to know who's babies they were. She was a nosy old woman that one, but it never bothered Lilith. She liked having her ear to vent to.
She had just about completed the basic sketch of the scene before her; garden fountain surrounded by rose bushes and other flowers. She wore a simple gown of pale green, the skirt made of tole to make easy room for the rather large baby bump she was now sporting. The sleeves stopped at her shoulders, and the neckline was square, cutting across her collarbones. Her platinum hair was pulled back into a long braid, resting down her back, with small sprigs of flowers tucked in here and there.
This was her routine now; grab a book, a sketchpad, or a bigger book, and head out to one of her three hiding spots for the day. She never had lessons anymore, not while she was pregnant, and she couldn't do her day job anymore. So today was just another boring day for her, waiting for something even mildly exciting to happen.
