Today had been a busy day, at least all the work was at base at least. Gyres had spent the whole day locked away in a very, very special room the Black Dagger's base had. The room itself was very bland, being completely empty besides the chair in the center and grates under the chair. Chained to the chair was a bloody man, bruises and cuts all over him and he seemed to be in extreme pain. Gyres was trying to "convince" his "guest" to tell him where a rising band of thieves were located but he seemed to be very resilient...or very dumb. "I'm going to ask you again....where. is. it." The man coughed up blood and looked up at Gyres "Y....You. afraid oh great Gyres? You should be. When we get enough members we will destroy you." The man chuckled but Gyres didn't laugh. He simply turned around and walked out of the room. If he wanted the guy to talk he was going to have to use...the special tool. Gyres went up the stairs and exited the base from a severer hatch inside the cellar of the Lotus. He walked out and looked directly to the bartender in front of him. "Hey N. Still didn't get it yet. Came for a drink and ...the thing." The bartender looked at Gyres smiling. "Sure thing boss. Just get a bottle and the thing in the same place you left it last time." Gyres nodded. He first grabbed a bottle of rum before moving two feet to the right of the hooded girl. From the shelf in the bar Gyres pulled a mysterious contraption stained with blood, from looks alone it seemed to be attached to the fingers of people. Gyres smiled. This would get him to talk.

Esme watched out of the corner of her eye as a man emerged from the back, mumbling to the bar keep who was supposed to be fetching her order. She saw them grin, nodding as the man moved closer to where Esme had chosen to stand at the bar, close enough that she could hear him when he spoke.
She turned her head slightly to get a better look at the object he was pulling out and made a sour face. That was disgusting. In attempt to hide a gag, Esme coughed lightly and cleared her throat, turning her head away from Gyres for the moment.

Gyres ignored the girl's gag and continued to examine the item out in the open. The bartender was the first to speak up on the matter. "Hey boss, if it isn't to much trouble could you examine it elsewhere I think your tool is disturbing the lady." Gyres looked over to the hooded figure and turned back to the bartender, the crude tool in his right hand. "Oh my apologies N. I didn't know the stench of blood was upsetting to most." said Gyres, in a sarcastic tone. "I need to make sure the damn thing works. Unless you want to volunteer for a test run?" The bartender quickly responded to the threat. "N-No Gyres. If it's that same to you I'd like to keep my fingers in tact. It's just it might attract some unwanted attention." Gyres was silent, begrudgingly accepting that the barkeep was right. He grumbled something and started to exit while the barkeep finally got Esme her drink. "Sorry. My boss can be very....aggressive at times."

Esme winced lightly as the barkeep pointed her out to the man. She wasn't sure he was who she needed, and if not, this attention may cause some unwanted drama. She kept her face under the hood for now, hearing his sarcastic remark. She rolled her eyes; how kind of him. She looked up as he moved to leave, hearing the barkeep use his name, her hood falling off her head, exposing her blonde hair.
It's no problem... You used the name Gyres, yes? She asked, taking her drink and paying him. Should he confirm, she would say the following; Good, I have some business with him, if you'd like to let him know, once he's finished... whatever it is, he's doing down there.

The barkeep nodded just as Gyres reached the door. Gyres froze at turned to the previously hooded woman. "Buisness? I don't recall ever knowing you so I'm surprised you have buisness with me. N, why don't you go take care of our friend downstairs. You've seen me use the device countless times I'm sure you can handle it." Gyres tossed the barkeep the strange device he was holding. The barkeep quickly caught it and looked like he was going to say something but decided to remain silent, he nodded his head and walked out the room. Gyres moved back over to the lovely blonde who had this "buisness" as she said, he placed his hands on the bar, he stared at her, every disturbing feature of his face was visible. "Alright Blondie, spill the beans what do you want? I'm a busy man as you might guess."

Esme arched a brow as she saw him pause at the door he'd been headed for. Must have overheard her. Good. She held back a small smile as he handed over the weird torture device to the barkeep, wanting to stick around to question Esme himself.
As his hands were placed on the bar in front of her, she looked up at him slowly, her hazel eyes scrutinizing him. Gyres. Normally, I wouldn't believe its really you who holds that name, but the device of severed fingers makes it pretty clear. Esme took a swing of her ale, looking up at him with zero expressions on her face.
As leader of the Black Daggers, I wanted to inform you that I wish to join your group.[/color]

Gyres laughed as the woman spoke of the strange device he has carried. "Hehe yea that thing really is fun to use, gets the party started if you get what I mean. So yes anyway here I am, the one-eyed bastard himself. What do you need?"
Gyres listened to her request...he pondered it for a while, swishing the contents of the rum bottle around. "Well lets see....I'm not actively looking for more mouths to feed....but I might be a man or two short very soon. So.....let's see. I feel like if you want to join you should know some ground rules for the daggers. 1. I'm the boss here, you can do what ever the hell you want but if I've got a job for you I expect you to be there to help me. 2. Your a dagger, you die before you spill the Black Dagger's secrets. If you spill I have many devices much worse than the one you saw. Third, Don't. piss. me. off. Bad things have happened to good men because of a few wrong words. As long as you follow those three, we will get along just fine, and more importantly, you keep your fingers." Gyres laughed and took a deep swig from the bottle of rum. "If you can handle those simple rules your already a step ahead of most of my men. But enough about all these boring things like rules, I want to know what you can do for the daggers and more importantly for me. Your combat skills, how well you are with people that kind of stuff."

Esme made a face, but didn't comment. She liked her fingers intact. Once her statement had been made, she waited calmly, keeping her eyes on him, and her hands on her drink.
I don't really need you to feed me. Thanks. She commented drly. As he listed his rules, she arched both brows, but nodded. They were actually pretty fair for a gand lead by a cannable. Works for me. I work best with my fingers still attached." She rose her drink and tipped it at him, taking a swig of it.
He wanted to know what she had to offer. She cracked her neck. I used to be a personal guard of sorts. For some bigwig noble in another kingdom- Close enough to the truth, I'm basically a master with my sword, but I do have a few spells up my sleeve that enhance myself a bit when it comes down to it. People wise, I try to avoid them, but as you can see when I need to be, I can be charming. She smiled, winking at him before taking another swig.
