She felt herself falling, the pain registering after. It tore through her like fire had been set to her veins. She couldn’t move her legs, and fear of not being able to walk spiked through her mind, terrifying her. She’d rather die. She looked up, tears falling down her face from the pain, and saw Kuro’s eyes change colours, sparking yet another interest in her. He’d hesitated when his eyes changed back to normal, that was something to be remembered. Is he really going to kill me? There was a shockingly a lack of fear in her mind at the thought of death, but and arrow moved the blade, and she felt it move past her face, harming only her hair. She could feel blood running down her legs, through what was left of her dress, and she struggled to move her feet, to find out if she was truly paralyzed. Though it hurt, she was able to, and she let out a gasp of relief.
Serenity watched as he killed the men that had appeared around them, and it started to fall into place. The blade made no sound when dragged, cut perfectly, no blood tainted it, and he acted like it was an extension of himself. His eyes changed colour, and his personality seemed to change with them. Perhaps it wasn’t he who was in control? Serenity would think more of it later, when she wasn’t in mind numbing pain. She lay her head back into the grass, not caring to watch him continue to kill, and only looked back up when he walked towards her.
She did want to learn, and though he may not actually be the best, she knew he was as good as she was going to get. However, she believed him 100% when he spoke of fear, of being feared. She knew there was no one else.
She waited a moment, watching him just stand there above her, and decided that he’d did this to her, so he’d be the one to help her, regardless. He hadn’t killed her, so clearly he still needed her around. Normally, she would have ordered him to bring her back to the city, but she knew bold words would not help her here. She didn’t like it, but she would have to keep her mouth shut. If she could figure out how the blade worked, and/or what it did to him, she would be set. A devious plan started to form in her mind, but it required time, and for her to have time, she needed him to want her around.
Would you be a dear and carry me now? The ground is very uncomfortable, and you’ve clearly made your point. Furthermore, you’ve made it near impossible for me to walk currently, so you’re going to have to help regardless. She knew her words were still quite bold, but it was the type he probably expected of her now, so she played it off as if she were complying to what he wanted while still being spoiled. She lifted her arm up, waiting for him to pull her upwards.

It oddly pleased Kuro that she was in pain, yet still tried to come off as she did. He grabbed her arm, and lifted her up. He threw her over his shoulder her face facing the same way as his. He then raised the blade, and pulled it back, putting it between her neck and sliding it forward, making it apparent how sharp it was. As the blade ran near her skin, Kuro made sure it did not cut, but she would feel her blood pool towards the blade as if it was somehow trying to pull it from her body. Kuro stayed silent, because he did need her. He needed the image of her, she was the perfect body type to instill lust, anger, or more. If Kuro knew that Lilith was bi then he could do much more to hurt Sima, but he would have no clue that Lilith told him this either. Kuro needed more information, and without being able to get close he needed Serenity. She wasn't able to walk because of pain, but frankly, if he bandaged it and gave her pain medicine she would be walking without a worry, and back to doing what he told her.
She did agree to do what he said, even if she hasn't been so obedient, the moment she did something he did not like would be the moment her life ends, she was on thin ice and should tread carefully. Kuro was trying to show his dominance, he thought like a typical tainted man, but hid these luxuries mostly, thanks to the blade. He often kept it thirsty wanting more blood, more victims. By doing this it's power was always telling him to search for victims, keeping his more human desires at bay. However, it had just fed, and was contempt for the time being. With the blade less active, it meant that Kuro was more human, and he thought more like a human male.
He walked her over to the edge of the forest, it was apparent her weight didn't affect him in the slightest. "Your bleeding quite a bit, " Kuro set her down,"Tear off a piece of your dress and dress the wound, keep it from bleeding out, then you can take some medicine, and you will probably be walking again in a few hours" Kuro knew the blade well, it was not keeping her ability from walking, she could walk now, it simply hurt more then you could imagine. This was because when the blade was in charge it didn't matter how hurt you were you would run, and it took pleasure seeing the pain and great lengths that people dealt with in order to survive. Kuro needed her to tail Sima Oratio, but that would be tomorrow, and after he made sure she had a bath.

After the initial shock of being flung over a shoulder and having a blade to her throat wore off, Serenity mentally laughed at Kuro's idiocy. By doing what he did with his blade, he was only helping Serenity confirm her suspicions of it. She'd felt her blood pool toward it, as though it were magnetized. That blade clearly had some power to it, she just needed to know it's extent, and to what extent it controlled Kuro, because she knew it did.
Serenity was still in a lot of pain, firstly due to the obvious slash in her knees, and secondly, the position he had thrown her in was really hurting her stomach. His shoulder dug into it, adding more pain with the bounce in his step. She grit her teeth together, and kept her comments to herself, closing her eyes to concentrate on something other than the pain. She could feel another pain, though slightly more awkward, as her chest was also quite squished against the front of his shoulder, no doubt bruising them.
As soon as he set her down, she rubbed her tummy trying to ease the soreness that would no doubt be there for a while, as he'd likely bruised her. Thanks for stating the obvious She thought as she tore off some of her dress and started wrapping it around her left leg, repeating it later on her right. She was glad he was willing to give her medication, but then again, she wasn't surprised. After all, he did need her. Once she was finished, she once again took note of the awful condition her dress was in. She remembered she'd had far better winter clothing at home, but she doubted she'd be allowed to go. And by home, she meant the Inn they were at before. She currently held a semi permanent residence there, but she had failed to mention it to him in her drunken state.
Serenity attempted to stand, but was unable to even kneel just yet, her legs screaming at her for even trying. She fell back to the hard ground and sighed frustratedly. He was a real pain in the ass.

Kuro stood there arrogantly, watching down on her as he assumed that should be the natural order of things. Everyone was beneath him, especially this woman who seemed to think she knew so much. Kuro however didn't know the extent that she had assumed, and that her assumptions were correct. He sheathed the blade, feeling that it was not necessary for walking around the town. He looked at her as she wrapped up the wounds on her legs, he had no doubt on his mind she was thinking of words against him that she wanted to say out loud. Kuro's plans were changed greatly. and for now so was his mind. The blade was silent, not giving him that out of human thought that he needed in order to complete his planning. So for the time being Serenity had the upper hand, and Kuro didn't even realize it.
When she was finished he looked down at her, she attempted to get up. He difficulty held back a smile as she attempted to do so, yes it her pain was comical to him. In Kuro's mind she was but a tool to be used, and she was not a person. He grabbed her hand angrily pulling her to her feet. Kuro would make sure that tomorrow would be the last of her use, and then he could in fact dispatch her, dragging a woman around wasn't fun. He pulled her back up to his shoulders, "It seems your going to have to rest for today, you will probably be walking again within a few hours when you get medicine, but I suggest you be careful" He was speaking both for her legs, and for her actions. Kuro walked to the place they had spent the night previously, she could apply the medicine he would give her there. Kuro walked up to the same room previous, not bothering to ask the inn keeper, it was not his concern for the moment, and Kuro made sure to close the door in a way to keep it a jar, so entrance was at least free.
Kuro then tossed her on the bed, reaching into his pocket and tossing her two bags. One was hard like a pill of some sort, the other was liquid, held by a plastic like leaf that was folded around into a ball. "consume both,"

Serenity huffed but otherwise stayed silent as she was tossed around, both on his shoulder and the bed. It's no thanks to you that I'm stuck like this you dirt ball. Staying quiet was difficult enough, but not laughing at her own thoughts was a whole other challenge for her. She'd already called him countless names in her head, and each one made her want to laugh aloud, and she only held in back by biting her tongue, quite literally.
Now stuck on the bed, she did as he said, taking the pills and chasing it with whatever liquid he'd tossed at her. She wanted to ask him to go just a few rooms over and get her other clothes, but she knew that was a useless question. She'd simply have to wait until she could walk on her own. For now, she was stuck, laying on the bed, her dress all but rags now. She could only imagine the thoughts that were running through his mind. She'd already assumed what her night with him would entail, but she knew it would be rather difficult now, with her legs the way they were- but she doubted he'd care. She'd simply have to bare with the pain.
She was unaware of his intention to kill her the next day, and even if she knew it wouldn't matter. As soon as she found a way to get that sword of his, she was set. She thought, perhaps, the sword gave power to whomever held it, not just him. If she was correct, she would definitely be the one calling the shots after that. But for now, she remained still and quiet, waiting for the medication to kick in.

Kuro had thought she would realize what she was taking, it was technically medication and it would help her with pain, but what he had given her would also make her high. Kuro had given her most of the drugs he had picked up from the men that Serenity had killed. He wasn't sure how she would react to the drugs, but it would be entertaining none the less. Her frame was small, at least compared to Kuro's, and he guessed that it would be in her system for a little while, she would forget about her legs, that was the intent. "Hope your feeling better," He spoke arrogantly, knowing that she would be feeling better, but that wouldn't be the only thing she would be feeling. Kuro despised having to sit beside her, but he did so, waiting to see her face as the drugs began to affect her.
Kuro looked across as he glared into her eyes. Kuro was thinking if she drop her like a bad habit right now, perhaps there was some other way he could what he wanted done. It was true she was someone who already was going to do what he said, and finding someone else for that could take a little bit. Kuro needed to know Sima's routine, his lover, and his home, among other things. How long has Sima been here? He thought to himself curiously.

Serenity felt light headed, and felt as though the room began to dance. She put a hand to her head as though to steady herself. You ass, you gave me the drugs you looted didn't you? The sarcasm she's previously been holding back spilled out now, though it's not as though she had full control anyway. Her limbs felt numb, and the light headedness only seemed to increase. She glanced over at Kuro, noticing how he was watching her. He'd done this on purpose. Her visions wasn't blurry, but bulbous, like a fish eyes, only slightly. Even still, she could see him speculating her, and knew he was planning someone. It was clear he didn't want her around much longer. She used his arm to help her stand, not caring if he objected, and slowly walked to the door. There was a numb pain in her legs, but it was far more bearable now. She glanced back at Kuro.
I remember that I have a change of clothes in a room a few doors down. Just give me a moment, alright? Really, if she returned and he was gone, she knew she would barely bat and eye.
She used the wall to guide her three rooms over, and opened the door, remembering she'd kept it unlocked. Once inside, she found her winter clothes, which consisted of a wool gown, shorter than before, and under tights, like pants, but thinner. They would do for now. Putting them on, as well as the cloak that went with them, she shuffled back into the other room and flopped on the bed once again.

Kuro muttered, perhaps this wasn't the best time. Aggravation seemed to be high in his blood, he knew that the likely hood of her doing something against him was high. What would she do? She had to know that physical attacks from her would be a piece of a cake. Whatever she thought she could do Kuro had to be ready, he felt that she was someone to easily betray, which is exactly why he was trying to get her to fall into his trap. This was too heavy now, he did need her, but he could do other things and return. To her he would simply be gone, but to him she would be a saved resource, he only had to return and use her. Kuro was thinking all to quickly, and he remembered what Sima did to his quick plans last time, he strong armed right through them. How did that demon contain so much power? An army of mages wasn't even enough, neither was purity, one of a demons greatest weaknesses. So what could kill Sima? Kuro didn't know that Sima has lost much of his powers, and was mortal. If Kuro knew this perhaps he would feel ready to jump. Kuro knew where she was, he wasn't the idiotic to realize that she lived somewhere near, and with her appearance, everyone in the bar would know where she was. Kuro reached into his pocket, leaving a few more drugs for Serenity to enjoy, he then found a piece of paper and wrote on it. "Be back soon " Kuro then found the nearest window and jumped out of it, heading to find the information he needed to plan this correctly, and return when he needed Serenity.
