Owner Name: Aria Wurud Area: A tropical island off of the southern coast of Nova about 2 miles off shore in the widow maker sea. - Located as a sub board in Beach The Island is uninhabited; however Aria has been paying a small fortune to have this place built. She found the island during a long flight training exercise with a flight of drakes. Since that point she has been funding the small palace to be built. She hopes to colonize the island someday however she wants to make alliances before she goes forward with that step. Home Type: Small Palace; 1 master bedroom; 4 large guest rooms, 3 small rooms, covered dinning terrace, large kitchen, library/work room, observation tower, large sitting room connected to another large open terrace, a holding cell, storage/weapon room. Price: 100,000 for Palace 5800 for Gems 20,000 for ship 500 for Dock 100- For Island – Palace will be a sub board, another 100- for port Total= 126500 Short Home Description: On an island far south of Nova where the air grows warm, a small palace sits on the southernmost part off an island two miles off shore of the widow maker sea. The small palace is mostly made of sandstone; with red ceramic roof tiles and copper domes. The palace is mostly open to the elements; creating a perfect balance between elegance and wilderness. The north facing half of the palace is integrated into the tropical forest; while southern facing part of the place drops down to the beach and ocean below. Extra: Down the path to the Royal Beach; a path juts off from the main one to a small stone gazebo. The gazebo is simple; however the floor is a work of art. Mostly blue mosaic pieces; however in the middle a lotus flower was depicted out of mother of pearl. When one steps upon the flower they are transported to another stone gazebo further south. The sister gazebo sits upon a highest peak on the north end of a crescent shaped island. From this spot you can see the entire island and for miles beyond it. Down a set of stairs a single smooth dirt path exits the gazebo and splints itself in two directions. One direction goes down a steep path lined with stairs right down the north point of the island to a large dock in which a large ship sits. This ship carries goods and such to the people in which Aria trades with. The second path from the gazebo winds its way through a tropical jungle. All flower lanterns are strung along the path; allowing one to see while traveling at night. This path leads to the castle on the other side of the island. To walk it takes almost an hour; and it is downhill as the path winds to the lower half of the southern part of the island where the palace is. The walk itself is magical. Parts of the forest open up allowing breath taking views of the island and the ocean hundreds of feet below. A couple of wooden bridges go over fresh water streams that cascade down tall thin waterfalls. Frequent rain showers often replenish these pools; often one is sheltered from these surprise showers by the thick foliage that covers most of the path.
The islands eastside are tall cliffs with sheer drops straight down into the ocean. Usually large waves hit this side of the island; however during low tide during the summer season a narrow white sandy beach appears and is available to walk along. Often interesting treasures and debri wash up on this side of the island. During the winter months the beach is once more submerged under large waves. The western part of the island has a more sloping landscape; closer to sea level the greenery thins out to a rocky moss covered terrain. Sporadic white sandy beaches are accessible throughout each season on this side of the island; during the summer months, when the tide is much lower, stone archways connect the beaches. The longest stretch of beach is located on the southern tip of the island where the castle stands. - The east side of the island is almost a vertical drop; steep cliffs plunge down into the ocean. These cliffs have a natural caves in the tall walls, in which drakes can use as nesting ground and or places to sleep. - The west side has more sloping land; that could in the future be developed to form a small fishing village; as of right now the land is virtually un touched. - The only building on the west side is a large wooden dock that goes past the natural reef and into deeper waters. At the dock Arias own ship sits, the large vessel is made of dark wood with a gorge hound head carved into a helm.
Court Yard The path from the gazebo opens up at the castles main entrance. A white stone bridge; the bridges floor has the same mosaic in a pattern as the gazebo’s; the top of the bridge is covered by a lattice covered by wisteria. The bridge leads to an alcove with a small fountain; a miniature version of the one found in the second district of nova. To either side of the alcove a pebbled path leads to two sets of large oak doors painted blue with tribal like patterns set in tall sand stone walls. These walls wrap around all land locked areas of the palace. The doors open up to a small cobble stone courtyard; the walls lined with vines and tropical plants. A couple of taller plants sat in tall vases decorated in colorful mosaic tiles. The court yard was connected to the main part of the castle; Exterior hallways wrap around the court yard; lit by decorative wrought iron chandeliers. Furthest from the doors that lead into the court yard the main entry way to the castle sits. Large wrought iron gates block an open entry to the main entrance to the castle. The entryway is lit softy by ornate wall sconces; and the floor was filled with intricate mosaic tiles. There was room on the wall in which Aria hopes to hang tapestries in the future. Palace Main Level Entry way The entryway opens into a large airy room; the floors are white marble accented with black tiles; creating a diamond pattern along the floor. The large room is separated into three sections by large ornate pillared archways. The archways section off a small horizontal area creating an open hallway that sections off the two larger areas. The first large area that you enter is a large open area that has four distinct sitting areas each with their own ornate rug done in deep red with jewel toned accents. Each area has a small wooden floor table; with low resting chairs done also in deep reds with jewel tone accents. Many small decorative pillows line the cushioned benches and chairs. The tables each have pretty wrought iron lanterns with jeweled tone glass. A couple of the tables have fresh fruit laid out in pretty brightly colored ceramic bowls. In the middle of the room another rug with a wrought iron fire pit sits. To the left and right side of the main sitting area two large open arch ways open up to the dining terrace and the main common room. The archways are surrounded by deep red ornate carved wood that contrasts wonderfully against the smooth sand stone walls. The wood has different animal carvings; towards the dining terrace all the animals depicted on the archway are land based. The archway that leads to the main common room are all ocean based. Above each archway is a pretty wrought iron sconce that sits just below large rectangular windows that are covered in wrought iron lattice done in a vine like pattern. As your gaze travels further up a balcony from the upper level looks down upon the main entryway. Wrought iron and wood railings separate one from the drop below; separated by white ornate pillars. The wall behind the balcony is a work of art; large arch stained glass windows of blue, green, and orange fill the room with pretty light. On the other side of the hallway the room opens up to the elements above. No ceiling blocks the view of the sky from this section of the entryway. However a large rectangular chunk of the room on either side is taken up by a planted garden. The plants range from small fruit and flower bearing trees; to useful herbs and plants. A narrow tiled pathway leads straight to the back wall where part the wall is covered in pretty blue mosaic tiles; in the middle at face level a large gorge hound head carved from stone spouts a stream of water from its mouth and into a large mosaic tiled bowl. Two water gems sit in the gorge hound eye sockets. The pathway is lined with large narrow knee high metal lanterns; a solid copper gorge hound statue stand off to the right side at the entrance of the pathway. Aria obtained it after seeing it in the market place in Palico. It reminded her of her old companion Thorne. - To the right through the open archway; a large common room looks out to the calm ocean on the east side of the island. The room has polished white stone floors; and light blue walls. There is a raised seating area off to the left side of the room filled with floor cushions and large bright colored pillows. The corner area is enchanted to block out noise going in and out; creating a lovely chatting spot when parties are thrown. The room arches out in a large half circle; large glass doors wrapped in white iron line the whole outer wall. With large white curtains draped around each door. These large doors open up to a balcony overlooking the ocean; often these doors are left open. Large potted plants can be found in this room as well. To the right an open archway leads to a closed off sitting room with a latus roof. The room had sections dug out for live plants to be grown; a small koi pond situated into the corner. This room also has cushioned seats and pillows. Colorful lanterns hang from a grown Mongolia tree that stretches its branches over the koi pond.
- To the left of the main entry way through the arch way; a large covered half circle terrace juts out into the walled garden that wraps around the west side of the palace. The terrace has white marbled floors with natural sand stone walls. Several small eating table’s line the edge of the terrace; each with chairs with colorful cushions and a table large enough to hold a small number of guests. The largest table set in the middle; able to accommodate a larger amount of guests. The terrace opens up in large arch ways with large stone pillars. A small grassy sections leads off into a jungle like garden with large palm trees. Flag stone pathways lead through parts of the garden; one path leading to a fresh water pound by a covered gazebo with a hanging outdoor bed with colorful blankets and pillows. Tropical birds can be found roaming about the gardens; including a couple of peacocks. Along with a number of quail. Another path leads to the kitchen. The hallway not situated to far from the openings to the dining terrace and sitting room has another set of smaller arched doorways; which lead to a hallway that takes a sharp turn and leads to different parts of the palace. Both hallways have a deep blue tortoise tiled floor and a dark metallic pink walls. The hallway is lined with potted plants on either side; square openings in the top of the outside wall allows natural light to stream through. The hallway on the left has a wooden door immediately to the left; this leads to the terrace. The right side extends for several feet before stopping at a large wooden door that opens up to the kitchens. The hallway on the right side immediately goes left; leading to a powder room and an opening to a stone spiral stair case; if one turns right they go up to the second level. If one turns left they go down to the lower levels. - The Kitchen is a large open room with a small alcove on the back wall that drops down into an open well where fresh water can be drawn. The well has an enchantment on it so all the water remains purified. The well is usually covered by an ornate metal dome. Next to the well there is a large open hearth brick fire place with a built in brick oven. The kitchen floor is the same blue tile found in the hallway. The walls are mostly sandstone while the open shelving that wraps around half the room is painted bright turquoise. In these open cabinets many dishes; jars, jugs, tea pots, glasses, ect are stacked and laid out neatly. The counters are tiled in deep blues and purple. Many larger bowls are filled with fresh fruit and vegetables; a basket might contain bread, while another might contain fresh eggs. While spices could be seen stored in ornate jars. A large sunken copper tub best suited for dishes and such is sunken into the counter. A copper spout coming out of the wall with two elemental gems placed on either side of the spout. A water gem and a fire gem; the water gem when touched activates a cool stream of water that pours from the spout. When the fire gem is touched when the water is running the water will warm up until it begins to steam. Bellow the counters; large arched lattice door cabinets are painted bright blue. They held pots and pans and other cook ware. Next to the cabinets on the wall closet to the walled gardens an iron wood cooking stove sits The ceiling is a mix between sandstone and wooden beams that have fresh herbs hanging from them drying. A door way located on the back wall on the left side leads down to a pantry with two sections. The first one holds nonperishable items. Such as grains, flour, spices, wine, ect. While another door way leads to a room lined with 4 large ice gems to keep the room at a cool temperature all year long. In this room milk and other perishable items are stored.
- A doorway on the right wall towards the back leads to another hallway that have three small bedrooms with single beds. The rooms are made of wood and stone; with lattice windows carved elegantly from dark red wood. This lattice extends the entire back wall; starting at hip level and reaching right to the ceiling. The windows are enchanted not to let any water or bugs come in; and can be pushed open for more air flow during extra warm nights. These windows overlook the ocean; and have curtains that can be pulled shut to keep warmth in if one wishes. The bed rooms each have a colorful woven rug; and a comfy bed with white sheets and a light woven blanket. Colorful glass and wrought iron lanterns hang from chains from the ceiling. Brightly colored wooden dressers are also in the room for guests or servants to put away their clothes. In the corner of the room a small built in shelfing can hold nick nacks and other personal items.
- The powder room that is located in the other hallway has a large solid wooden arched door. The room narrow and is painted with a pretty forest green; to left is a green marble counter with a sunken copper sink. A spout coming from the wall with a water gem in place to allow water to fall from the spout to wash ones hands. A bar of soap on a copper plate allows for proper hygiene. A hand towel never too far away to dry. Woven baskets hold extra towels and toiletries. Above the sink a large wooden framed mirror hangs upon the wall. To the back of the powder room another set of wooden doors leads to where the chamber pot is. The chamber pot is kept in a wooden cabinet; the cabinet has a carved seat with a hole and a lid. Runes are etched into the seat to keep any smells from leaving the chamber pot. The pot itself is enchanted to incinerate any waste. So the chamber pot itself always appears very clean. The floor has a pretty wave mosaic made with hues of blues and greens with bits and pieces of silver.
Palace First Upper Level
The stairs lead up to a similar hallway as the one below that leads out to an open exterior hallway. The hall way branches off into two directions. The left leads to the first large guest bedroom; the hall way opens up allowing views of the ocean and the common room balcony below. Stone benches lined with potted plants line the walls. The floor of the hallway being quite interesting. A white winding path lined with ceramic tiles in hues of blue. The right leads into the hallway that can be seen from the entry way below. When exiting that hallway, you enter another exterior hallway, only this one overlooks the tops of the trees and gives views to the ocean on the west side of the island. The waves on this side of the island are often large and memorizing to watch. Immediately to the left is the second large guest bedroom; to the right a long stretch of hallway that leads to a nice sitting area overlooking the southern tip of the island. In this area a pretty ornate arched wooden door way leads to Aria personal library and office. Directly across from this door another spiral stair case leads up to the third level. The exterior hallway wraps around a corner and leads to the third guest bedroom; just before the bedroom a small planted garden sits with a small mosaic wall fountain built into an alcove in the wall. This mosaic has colors of green and the copper fountain spout is a copper tiger head. Plants either in small planted sections or in large pots line the hallway as well. - The walls of Arias personal office are lined with book cases; slowly filling up with books of all kinds. Right now they are bare for the most part besides for a few. But in time she expects to fill them. Warm toned rugs ornate rugs line the floor; towards the back of the room a wall with tall narrow glass pane window allow some natural light into the room. Some of the window is made with stained glass, while the lower parts where one would look out are clear. This is perhaps the only room in the castle that is sealed off to the elements. In the middle of the room a large ornate wooden desk with pretty carvings of animals from around the world are etched delicately into the front of the desk. The desk has several drawers, some of them trick; that hold different pieces of paper and book repair kids. On her desk a set of writing quills are kept in an ornate jar. Often a large jar filled with flowers are also kept on this desk. - The first bed room is through a tall dark green; with a light yellow painted in a floral design. Inside the walls are a jade green; with gold and dark blue accent around the decorative crown molding. The walls near the large lattice windows were a pretty white, yellow and jade tiles with brown floral accents. A low intricately carved dark wood table with silk jade floor pillows sits in front the lattice windows that open outward to views of the west side of the island. The floors are a light brown tile. Up against the right wall the king sized bed sits on a dark wooden platform that has storage underneath for clothes and an ornately carved headboard. The bed spread is white with jade green embroidery stitched into the white king sized quilt that covers the king sized bed. In the left corner of a room a tall narrow fire place sits, painted in a pale yellow. The fire place is brick inside and the opening is shaped like an arch; a small alcove underneath holds some kindling. The large lattice windows are made out of the same dark wood as the bed; and is enchanted like the rest. The windows are large and arched and take up most of the left wall. The lattice opens outward in a door like fashion. White curtains hang from the window and can be pulled shut if one wishes for more warmth. The back wall has a wooden cabinet built into the wall that opens up; like the other rooms it has a copper spout with a water gem and this spout poor’s into a copper and jade bowl. - The second room has a tall narrow ornate door; painted in orange with turquoise accents. The room is oval in shape; with light blue walls and an ornate turquoise and gold done in large square tiles. In the middle of the ceiling a gold sun branches out with a glass lantern wrought in gold. The floors are a pretty mosaic tile of turquoise blues and pale yellows. The large queen sized bed itself is a work of art. The soft fluffy mattress sits on a large canopy platform; the rust colored wood opening up in large circular archways; with transparent turquoise curtains that could be draped open or pulled shut. The wood had muted tones of blue, greens, yellows, and red; painted in a pretty floral design all up and over the wood. Large white fluffy pillows are laid out across the bed; and soft white sheets are tucked in by a lovely pure white knitted blanket. In front of the bed to the side a small yellow fire place takes up a little of the corner. The fire place lined with brick; seldom lit. Below a small recessed space allows a small bit of kindling to be kept. By the fire place a pretty orange sitting chair sits. Just below a pretty mosaic cabinet that opens up to reveal a small bowl; with a water spout and water gem. Used for washing ones face in the morning. By the chair on a thin ornate rug a small narrow wooden table painted in cream sits. The wall facing away from the bed has three large arched windows covered in white lattice wood allows the fresh ocean breeze to continuously blow into the room. The lattice is enchanted to keep the rain and bugs out. These windows can be opened up in a double door fashion to get the full breeze and views the room has to offer. The room also offers a large wooden dresser painted in cream with a pretty floral design sits against the wall. Towards the back of the room an ornate white changing screen is slightly open; allowing a more secluded place to change. - The third bed room has views overlooking the southern tip of the island; offering views of waves crashing over rocks and into the cove. Through a tall wooden door painted purple with a decorative tree painted in faded white, the third and larger of the rooms awaits. It is the only large guest room to boast two single beds instead of one large one. The walls are a smoky purple; and the floors are white and lilac star pattern titles. The beds are carved oaked wooden canopies; with light lilac transparent curtains. The wood is ornately carved with flowers and wispy patterns. The bed spread embroidered with silky purple swirls. A long dark grey dresser with white accents sits in-between the two beds. On top of the dresser sits an ornate mirror. Next to the mirror pretty iron and purple glass lanterns sit. The ceiling has pretty wooden beams and a tear drop lanterns drop in a swirl design. In front of the beds a woven white oval rug sits with two silk chairs in royal purple sit facing white lattice doors that open inwards to a spacious balcony. In between the chairs a thin rectangular grey table sits. The large arched lattice doors sit in-between to large arched windows with the same white lattice carved in intricate patterns. Like the other rooms the lattice is enchanted not to let water or bugs in. White curtains are hung above each opening, and are tide off to the side with a gold cord. These curtains can be shut for extra warmth. On the balcony there is space to take the chairs out and sit in between two large potted plants. On the back wall a wooden cabinet with intricate carved arch doors is built right into the wall. When opened a copper spout with a water gem pours into a purple and copper bowl. In the back corner of the wall an oak changing screen for privacy.
Palace Third Upper Level When one walks up the stair way they are met with a lush green forest planted right on the roof. You immediately walk upon a stone path surrounded by dirt and think plant growth. The path splits three ways, the one straight ahead curls in a loop leading to a lovely out door shower. The shower area is a large circular slab decorated with a mosaic patterned in a sun flare pattern. It starts off bright yellow in the center and fades to a deep orange; ended with a dark midnight blue. A copper tub with a water gem embedded into it, arches up and forms a head that allows the water to poor down. This area is highly covered by thick foliage, allowing complete privacy. The path to the right leads down to another jungle planted area. Once you go back far enough the plant growth opens up to a large circular sandy pit; this pit is specifically for Arias drake Noky. If you follow the path to the left it will open up to a stone patio with a fire pit in the middle surrounded with wicker chairs with colorful cushions. To the very back left a large double door colored in a deep purple opens up to the fourth and largest guest bedroom. The door to the left is an ornate arched double door painted in a deep blue green. In between the two rooms an alcove opens up and leads to a stair case that leads up to the observation tower that sits above the fourth guest bedroom. - The fourth bedroom is painted light greys, silvers, golds, and whites. The wall to the right when you walk into the room is ornately painted with intricate designs in silver and gold on a white background. Immediately to the right is another white door, the trim painted in silver and gold. The door leads to a private powder room. Set up much like the one on the first level of the palace. To the right a copper sink with a drake head spout sits; a water gem placed in its forehead. In the back of the small room is the chamber pot with the same enchantments of the powder room on the first level. Past the bathroom a large king size bed sits up against the wall; the gorgeous mural acting as the headboard. The beds linens are white with silver embroidery and depicts drakes flying across the linen. On either side of the bed dark wooden nightstands sits. In front of the bed a large oval rug in shades of grey sits upon white floors. The bed faces out towards large double lattice arched doors in a dark wood. The wood is enchanted to not let bugs or water through. These doors open inward to reveal a large balcony with a thin wooden table and a chair. So one can look out to the ocean on the west side of the island. The wall on this side is also painted white with intricate silver and gold designs. The other two walls are painted slate grey. On the back wall from the door, a large dresser painted white with grey designs sits. With silver wrought lanterns. To the left of the dresser a fire place like the rooms down stairs sits in the corner. Painted white and dark grey.
- The blue green door leads to the master suite; this large spacious room has three sections. When one walks in the room there eye is instantly drawn to the raised circular section of the room. Wide open arches wrap around this part of the room; often these are left open out to the balcony beyond. However white wooden lattices can be pulled shut. Large transparent curtains hang in front of each opening. In the middle of the room a large circular bed sit; the bed linens white embroidered with blue green. An ornate blue green glass chandelier hangs above the bed. When you walk through the doors to the right sits a large dresser; light grey with blue green accents. Along with a tall matching armoire. To the left a mosaic fountain for washing ones hands sits. It tiles shades of blue and green with a copper dragon head spout. In front of the fountain two blue green silk sitting chairs sit. Fallowing the curve of the left wall a large arch opens up to a circular room with white and grey tiles along the walls and a white tiled floor with a sunken in soaking tub. The tub itself tiled with a deep blue on the bottom slowly lighting to a turquoise up top. Silver lanterns lined with blue green glass are placed sporadically around the tub. A water and fire gem embedded into the floor allow water to poor in from a slit just above the water line in the tub. A deep brown changing screen can be pulled out over the opening to allow for privacy. To the back of the circular bathroom another narrow room sits having a chamber pot behind folding doors. The chamber pot works just as the powder room on the main level. Observation tower The observation tower is an open balcony with a set of pallets and pillows placed in the center. Allowing one to lay down and gaze up upon the stars. The tower itself can see through the entire island and for miles beyond. Palace Lower level The palace lower level is dug into the ground; the stone stair case opens up into a large room with three doors branching off of it. One door straight ahead from the stairs opens to a storage room. The door to the right leads through a tunnel that does deeper into the hill side. A small holding cell situated in the back. The last door to the left leads to a changing room with areas for washing; which then leads out to a small terrace that has a stone stair case that leads to a stone path. The path is blocked by sandstone walls with an iron gate. The stone path winds its way down the rocky hill side, sometimes it is embedded right into the rocky wall, with water crashing beneath you. Iron lanterns sit upon pillars along the path lighting the way at night. The pathway opens up to a large white sandy beach on the west side of the island. This sandy beach is the largest; the tropical jungle right at its edges. - The cell is a special antimagic cell; but it is fairly clean; made with smooth solid stone. There is a chamber pot and a raised pallet off in the corner. Aria hopes she never has to use it; but with her luck one day it might come in handy.
- The storage room is rather large; but well organized. The storage room is always locked and only a select few would have a key to access it.
- The last room is shaped like a cross, the entirety done in deep hues of blue tiles; the tiles lighten in hues to a light blue green as it reaches the ceiling. Towards the entrance of this room light wood changing screens are set up; off to the left and down a small hall a room with two water gems are embedded in the walls. One on each wall. A slit near the top of the ceiling will poor out water that one can rinse oneself of in. Mainly meant for when one comes in from the beach they can rinse off the sand. The hallway off to the right leads to a room with a large sunken bath. The bath has benches and is built for relaxing; the tub is filled like the showers from a slit in the ceiling. Though the water is warm due to the face that there is both a water gem and fire gem embedded into the wall. The middle of the room leads to a sand stone hallway that splits out like a T. Leading to a stone terrace.
