Amiee stood outside of the Blood Mary, as she brush down her fur. She has been standing outside for the last five minutes wondering if she should go in. She was looking for a new job, but she also wasn't sure if she could do this. Biting down her nervousness, knowing that anyone with a good nose might be able to smell it on her.
Looking down at her clothes it was simply, dress that she borrowed from on of the girls. It was off-white dress, that reach her ankles. She decided not to wear shoes today, so her paws stood out, with her hair down.
Finally, she pushed open the doors walking into the tavern. Looking around, she saw that even at midday it was already busy. Walking to the paw, she noticed some of the strange looks she was getting from some of the people. She sighed, as she heard the whispers about her slowly start to go around. She had gotten use to it, over the years anytime she appeared to people in her half-cat half-human form people always talked.
Doing her best to block it out she made her way to the bar taking a seat. "May I have some ale. Also I was wondering if you guys were hiring?" She asked the lovely bar-maiden.

The pink haired woman comes in from the cold air outside, and begins to take off her coat as soon as she is greeted by the warmth of the building. Lia spots a familiar face, remembering her from her vacation at the springs. Her name was… Amiee, right.
Meanwhile, the barmaid grabs a cup of ale and places it front of Amiee. “Creo is normally hiring someone, but it depends what kind of job you are looking for.” She points to the stairs, “I’ll go back and go get her from her office.”
As the barmaid passes her by and walks up the stairs, Lia waves to Amiee. “It’s nice to see you again. So you’re looking for a job here?” She sits down by the bar and puts her coat against counter. “You don’t have to be so nervous around Creo. She’s not that bad,” she says, trying to put the obviously anxious woman at ease.

Amiee smiled at the girl doing her best to calm her nervousness. Whispering a soft thankful for both the drink and the letting her know that Creo was hiring. Taking a small sip of the ale, letting the fruity taste stay on her tongue for a short time before swallowing it.
Seeing Lia, she relaxed a little a familiar face was always a good thing. "Nice to see you again. Yes, I was hoping that I could get a job her." She said, took another sip of her ale. Hearing that she didn't have to be so nervous, she wondered if she it was obvious to everyone else that she was nervous. "Thank you. I'll try to relax."
She turned around feeling the stares on her again, as the whispers started again. Honestly why couldn't people just let her be, but because she preferred to be in this form doesn't mean that she was gossip worthy. Than again if she did get a job here she would have to get use to it since, she would be receiving those stares more often. "What is it like working here?" She asked, now doing her best to ignore the stares and whispers.

Lia looks over at the bar, half-considering whether to join Amiee, but decides against it. She typically waited until later in the evening. Still, she recognizes that she still feels cold despite her trip outside. She plays her coat back on her lap in an attempt to warm up a little more.
It’s good to see Amiee calm down even if just a little. When asked what it was like to work here, Lia thinks for a few seconds. “The pay is good. It’s better than any tavern in the third district anyways, and on par or better with a lot here in second. Creo treats the girls who work here pretty well. However, I’ve seen her scare the crap out of people who try to mess with her. Occasionally, things can get rowdy around here, but nothing ever gets out of hand. A lot of people come in and out of here on a daily basis.”
She leans against the bar table. “So where did you work before?”

Amiee smiled hearing that Creo treated the girls here well, she didn't care about the pay so much since if it came to food she could hunt if needed and Starlight made do birds, and sometimes stealing a fish if she was lucky. "That's good to hear." She calmed down much more, feeling more relax, letting her tail careful curl around her waist, as she wondered how rowdy things could get here. It couldn't be too bad, as long as no one was too touchy she could handle it.
"Oh, I worked." She paused for a moment, she wasn't ashamed of her job since she was very comfortable with her body. But in all honestly she was a gypsy at one point before coming to the city. "At one of the taverns as a dancer. In all honestly I wouldn't mind starting over as a bar maiden then become a dancer again." She was honest, in everything, she didn't think that she was ready to start a new job if she got it as a dancer right away.
At was at times like this that she wished Starlight was here, her purring and nuzzles would take away the last bit of nervousness she was feeling. Thinking of Starlight, she wondered if Cero would be okay if she brought her to work, she was a pretty tame kitten after all and did stay out of the way for the most part. "Lia, do you enjoy it here?" She asked deciding push the question of her companion to the side for the time being.

Alec needed to find a job. He'd been doing odd jobs here and there, but it wasn't enough, it never was. He needed to leave his parents house, start a new life that wasn't filled with ghosts of the past. he approached the entrance to the Mary, his hands shoved into the pockets of his dark jeans. He wore a light blue shirt that accented his electric blue eyes. His dark hair fell into his face but he shook it away now, knowing he needed to act presentable. He stood straight, removed his hands from his pockets, and with a deep breath, he entered the building.
He looked around for a moment, not sure quite where to go at first, but then made his way to the bar- whoever worked there already could direct him he was sure. Alec sat at one of the stools and swiped the hair from his face once again. One space away from him sat a girl covered in hair- no, fur - speaking to someone behind the bar. He didn't know either of them- not one for social contact, but he needed the help.
Alec cleared his throat. Um, excuse me, I was wondering if you could direct me to someone who I can talk to about a job? His voice started strong but quickly became hesitant, sorry for interrupting their conversation.

“So you won’t be joining be on stage then? Bar maidens do get all the tops though. And dancers get all the unwanted attention,” Lia says, joking about her profession. She wasn’t entirely sure what Amiee means by dancer. It would be somewhat impolite to ask if she regularly took off her clothes on stage or not. Lia managed to get by while keeping her clothes on, but knew not everyone did the same.
She nods as Amiee asks if she enjoyed being here. “Yeah. It’s better than some other taverns that I’ve been to by a long shot. And I like being in the city more than travelling to more distant parts of the kingdom. I mean, I rather be in First, but it’ll be awhile before I save up enough money for that.” She had accumulated a decent amount Noruvian, but still no where near enough to live in First. While she could probably afford a decent sized home in Second, it felt too much like settling. Living here meant she could focus on moving upwards.
She looked over to the man who was trying to get her attention. “I think someone is getting Creo. Sit down. I’m sure she’ll be down shortly.”

Amiee smiled, as much as the idea of going back up on stage did please her that her tail started to twitch showing her excitements in being able to be on a stage again. "Maybe after the spring I will join you on stage." Letting out a small giggle at Lia's joke since it was true in some cases.
Amiee smiled it was good to know that Lia enjoyed working here. Using her paw to cover her mouth to stop the giggle, she wondered if Lia was thinking back the time at the springs when she mention she used to travel around seeing different cities and towns. "It's okay, I think almost everyone dreams of living in the First." It was honest almost everyone dreamed of one day living in the First, be it for the simple status of living here or saying they made it. She on the understand would be happy in the Second, with a little house with a tree in the back for Starlight.
Turning she saw a young man, giving a small smile her fangs showing, as she gave him a look over. He was handsome, but in terms of what she was looking for in a mate, quickly shaking those thoughts from her head. She hated when it got close to spring, the silly instinct to mate seem to block out all reason. "What type of job are you thinking of boy." She asked, wondering what the boy would do as a job.

Alec nodded and sat down next to the other girl, avoiding eye contact for now. He felt oddly uncomfortable, and he was trying to figure out why. Out of the corner of his eye, he say the girl eyeballing him and it made him shiver. He'd never admit it, but women checking him out really freaked him out. Alec cleared his throat when he was spoke to, turning his head to face her with his dark hair averting his eyes.
I don't know, anything really. I can make drinks, clean, wait tables. He coughed, not wanting to admit the next part, but knowing it could be important in terms of getting this job.
If needed, I can be entertainment. I um, know how to dance. he spoke roughly, looked away from them both. It wasn't something he would particularly enjoy, but he knew he was far from bad at it.

Creo was reading when there was a knock on her door. It was something she rarely had time for anymore- she had left all of her favorites behind in her former home and they had not been written yet. But these texts felt familiar, a little closer to the home she had to leave behind. She looked up when the door was knocked upon and noted her place in the romantic tale with a ribbon, pulling on her familiar gloves. When she went to the door, one of the barmaids whispered of two patrons looking for work, and she went to the stairs.
Creo descended the stairs, lifting the sweeping fabric of her deep red skirt with a gloved hand as she walked. The skirt and sleeves of the dress were the same deep red and was belted at the waist with a gold sash over a patterned gold bodice. The dress plunged in the front, a heavy gold and onyx necklace draping across her collarbone. Her short hair was starkly white in contrast to the cool copper tone of her skin, brushed back behind pointed ears. She raised her gaze to the clearly anxious patrons at the bar and raised a delicate eyebrow, her gaze turning to Lia.
“Have you offered our patrons a refreshment, Lia? Or are you avoiding work?” she smiled, crossing to her. She looked down at the two patrons, Amiee and Alec, her face still as she looked them over. The boy was pretty but needed a haircut, or at least a new style. The girl on the other hand was already attracting looks, but not the right kind. Eventually she looked back to Lia, a small smile coming back over her face. “Are these the ones?”

“Wonderful, I was enjoy having other people with me,” Lia says as Amiee agrees to maybe come on board in the spring. They could probably make it work with an audience if they played up the exotic angle on Amiee. People liked novel things, and considering Lia had only met two cat people in her entire life, Amiee was that.
She looks over the boy who wanted to be a server. Lia honestly didn’t have much patience for serving tables. She had done it once and never again. Customers were always so demanding, and occasionally, rude for no real reason. However, she had some respect for those who did the job without much complaint.
It wasn’t often that a boy came in, saying he can dance though. In fact, she doesn’t think she ever met a male dancer before. She smiles. “Really? What style?”
As Creo as if she was avoiding work, Lia points at Amiee’s mug. “She was already served. However, he just walked through the door. And you pay me to dance, sing, and convince patrons to spend more money by batting my eyelashes a lot since my bartending skills left much to be desired. Speaking of that though, it is almost time for me to get to the stage." It was getting relatively busy now.
She stands up and gets ready to leave. As Creo asked if these were the two. “Yes.” With that, she leaves the two to their job interviews.

Amiee smiled, she could see the boy making drinks but as a dancer she wasn't sure he did have the look but wondered if he knew how to dance. Smiling softly, stretching out her paw to him being careful of her claws. "Well then I hope you get the job. I'm Amiee." She said introducing herself to him.
She was about to introduce Lia as well, went a motion from the stairs caught her eye. Looking up she noticed that an elven female with hair the colour of silver was walking down the stairs. She had to admit with the red that she was wearing did make her have an unearthly beauty about her.
"Lia has been a wonderful host." She smiled, knowing that it was true. Lia has been helping her calm down and be less on the edge about the whole job hunting thing. She did her best to keep down herself from giggling at Lia's comment on what she was paid to do. Giving a small wave to Lia, as she watched her stand up and leave getting ready to go on stage.
Only the three was them were left now. "Hello Creo. I'm Amiee." She bowed her head respectfully, before meeting Creo's eyes. "I was wondering if you were hiring."

Alec sat up instantly as the new woman presented herself. He had been about to introduce himself to the cat woman, but he no longer had to. He saw the estrange between this new woman and the one cat woman called Lia. Once Lia left, He took the opportunity, after Amiee -he now knew her name- to say his part.
Sorry to disrupt your time, but as Amiee, He said her name hesitantly, wondering if he said it right at all. I was also wondering if you were hiring. My name is Alec Crowe. His parents had taught him long ago, how to act at such an event. So, despite his social anxiety at this moment, he remained formal and well spoken. An odd trait for the boy.

Creo tapped her gloved fingers against her chin, looking at the two young people sitting before her. It was true that they were typically always hiring, but that did not mean that she was desperate for workers. She rested her hands on the table finally, raising an eyebrow at the two of them. Amiee and Alec. Well. She would certainly see.
“What exactly is it that you do? I can’t just hire you on request alone, you see. I’d need a good reference, and you would need to show me that you can handle the work. Now, what is it exactly that you think you can do?”

Amiee was expecting that question, she could dance but at the moment she wasn't sure if she was up to dancing, not yet at least. Maybe once spring has pass then she would ask if she can become a dancer. "I can serve tables or even become a barmaid."
She wondered if she could mention to Creo that she did work in a traven before, deciding to hold off on that information for later. "I may be small, but I can rise to any challenge, also I am a hard worker." She did her best talking herself up, but honestly she wondered if she could somehow prove her skills to Creo. Talking wasn't her thing so much as it was paws on doing the work.
