Roland quirks an eye at Lilith's comment about his eyes, and he adjusts his hat down a bit to obscure them slightly. "I doubt it," is all he says before taking a deep breath and refocusing himself.
"Over use of magic is not something that can be viewed trivially, magic is a part of you like anything else, go too far with it and you irreparably break the channels you use to manipulate it, or you can overexert yourself and your body might simply give out. Most people pass out before either of these come to pass, but its possible." He explains and then rubs his eyes with his hand.
"Generally there are four ways magic interacts with mages, channeling it from the outside and then using it, creating it within the body, drawing it from an internal source, and magical circulation. I am not going to go into the specifics, but from what you just described you are using the third kind. This means you have a large pool of mana that you draw on and release when you cast your magic, that's pretty consistent with what else you've said since it means that your channels go from "no burden" to "full burden" all at once. people like that tend to have a lot of explosive power in their magic, but a tenancy to burn out fast." He explains.
"Once you are feeling better, and I mean completely better! I want you to feel that energy within you and start circulating it through your body, it will help get your body used to magic flowing through it and should help to 'limber' you up magically speaking." He instructs, then after he finishes speaking he looks at her again.
"I've done a lot of lecturing, are there any general questions you have, not around this specific issue?"
