House Warming Party

[Serenity Caine]

Serenity watched Kail and instantly found herself embarrassed. Modesty, as Roxy so clearly pointed out, was seen as silly in this world. Serenity only wanted to adapt. She sunk deeper into the water, not saying a word. She kept her eyes down and sipped on her wine quietly. She knew she would have to adapt eventually, but she didn't know if this was the way. It wasn't her words she regretted, but her actions. One can say such flirtatious things while fully clothed- next time she would be sure to keep her modesty. Or, at least not to force herself out of it.

When the egg moved, Serenity looked towards it. Had she had a towel, she may have moved towards it curiously, but with her current embarrassment, she didn't move.

Kail gave Rivers a withering glare at him "No I did not, mean GAH" he said as he was just frustrated. As he felt really really weird by something and could not put his finger on it. "I've had too many jibes and being made fun of in my life. I've been made the fool too many times....and I mean I am already being embarist because I have fucking boner from seeing tits" he said and sounded defeated. As he was already and at this point if he was already in hell might as well give them a show. "In all honesty I would want to knock you out Rivers. Tie you up and make you watch as I fuck all three of the ladies here. I don't do that since I don't want to demean you ladies to harlots for my beck and call. Hell I sound like a emo prick right now.....shit..." he said and sighed and got back into the water. He then hears about the egg and turns his head to the thing. Curious as new life was going to come back into the world, he still has the towel to his nose. Since he was still bleeding a bit and just wanted to shrivel up and vanish from reality. Why was he a damn target for this kind of thing. He was just frustrated by this as he had no idea, as it just kept happening to him.

Rivers replies to Kail's withering look with an expression of pure rage as Kail finishes. There was none of the calm aloof bard in this expression. His knuckles make an audible popping sound as he is distracted from the egg Kail's comment. "Kail, I have tried being nice, I have tried apologizing, and I've tried setting you straight before. If you are so determined to see everything I do as mockery then fine do as you please, I give up." He growls through clenched teeth.

Then he takes in an audible breath, punching Kail would achieve nothing, he repeats this to himself several more times in his mind before letting out the breath and passing a towel that wasn't there before over to Serenity. "Here, no need to force yourself, modesty is also quite normal in Nova if less required," he says in an even tone.

The as Kail gets closer Rivers eyes narrow but before he does anything he disappears. Serenity who still had a tunnel would be able to tell that he had created a tunnel to the top of Haven and that's where he was. Ser would probably be able to hear him trying to talk himself out of punching Kail through the tunnel she had. The tunnel to the roof remained open.

Meanwhile the egg continues to hatch and from it emerges a small blue head. It stares up at Lia and blinks several times before rocking out of the egg and resting her her nearest exposed appendage.

"kyuh~" It calls weekly as it nuzzles closer to Lia.

Kail’s anger seemed to have slightly eased from his posture. However, none by what he said.  That far more honest than Lia wanted to hear. It wasn’t the first time that a stranger said that he wanted to fuck her. Not even the first person to say that he wanted another person to watch too.  All the same, it wasn’t ever something that she wanted to hear. Even worse, he insinuated that she would let him. All this made her livid.

Rivers disappears, leaving Kail and the three women. She doesn’t attempt to hide her glare. “Let’s get a few things straight. One, if you think I’d willing let you, you are dead wrong. Two, I do not exist to serve you and your desire. Three, never tell a lady, like myself or the other two women present, what you just said.”

The sound of shell breaking causes her to instantly redirect her focus. Seeing the tiny head bust forth from it’s egg is pretty good at melting the anger away. The small creature look so happy to see her. “Aren’t you adorable?” It nuzzles her knee, and she picks it up. “Were you hiding from Rivers this whole time?” she jokes, laughing a little.  What timing to hatch as soon as Rivers teleported off.  "I'm sure he'd be happy to see you though."  She walks over to her clothes and picks them up with one hand, “Let’s go inside, Idris.”  The baby dragon deserved a name, didn't he?  And it wasn't like Rivers was here to name him.

[Roxanne]

Serenity's reaction was surprising, though she didn't say anything. Roxanne didn't either, just watching and finally finishing off her second glass. She didn't like Kail's outburst at all. Granted, she had no modesty and didn't usually mind being objectified but this was a bit much. She looked at the blond with his towel, clearly pissed yet smiling. "I promise if you pulled something like that with me, you'll never get to the other two," she told him, the obvious threat wrapped in a sultry tone.

With that said, the half demon stood and made her way out of the pool. Steam enveloped her for a few seconds and when it cleared, she was dry. She put her black dress back on, leaving her hair down. Then watched as the baby dragon was born. She smiled at it but then made her way back inside to her room.

Serenity felt Kail's words like a slap in the face. Tears pricked her eyes slightly and she sunk into the water completely after placing the glass of wine on the rocks. Her head went under, hair floating up around her. Through the water she could hear Rivers speaking to Kail, so she pulled herself up, only her head and neck going above the water. She looked at Kail but immediately looked away, not able to maintain eye contact. She couldn't believe he'd said something so vile about her. When a towel appeared next to her she let out a sigh of relief. She looked to Rivers as he spoke and nodded her head thanking him. She took the towel stood up, wrapping it around herself as she got out of the water. She watched Rivers as he decided to leave and felt herself wanting to join him. Not because of who it was, but because he had the right idea. One by one Lia and Roxy made their opinions clear and left-- though Lia had a little dragon to take care of. Serenity wasn't one for mystical animals.

With everyone gone but herself and Kail, Serenity found herself staring at her feet. Kail was in the water, and Serenity had a towel wrapped tightly around her. I.. I really hope you don't think so low of me to believe that... As she spoke she finally made eye contact with Kail, her hazel eyes stinging and hurt. She shook her head and slowly moved to grab the small pile of her clothes. Rather than going inside, she went through the tunnel Rivers had left open. She could hear him speaking to himself on the roof. Before stepping through, she looked back at Kail once more.

I don't do the things I do because I want that kind of attention. I don't need to do that. I don't need people thinking that way about me- no.. talking that way about me.. I do things to fit in. But clearly it just forces me to stand out more. Thank you Kail, for making it more obvious that I don't belong here. Though, then again, none of the other woman agreed with you either, so I guess I'm doing alright. With that she left.

Kail gets up and looks at all three of the women right before they leave and looked apologetic and it was not faked. "I am sorry, I said something that was in bad taste as I was being sarcastic. But if you all hate me then fine. Its not like anyone really gives a shit anyway. I will not come back ever again, this is goodbye" he said and then gets his things and leaves. They had every right to be angry with him and even hate him. As it seemed that Nova just hated him for just exsisting in this world. No one gave a damn anyway perhaps it would have been better if he just offed himself and save everyone a lot of trouble and sorrow. He walked out as quickly as he could to cover enough space as he could. Overall his life was shit and nothing he did was able to improve it. And any action he did was never good. This was one of the worst days in his entire life and again it looked like there was no bright side. "I miss my cat" he said after getting far away from Haven. As it was the only thing that really cared for him. But it was taken away from him and it was a never ending cycle of self hatred that would not break.
