Henry slowly opened his tightly-sealed eyes to see a captivating though foreign place before him. His body had been tightly cringed thinking that he had died in the process of getting to Teair. His shoulders were lifted, as were his arms, his knees were bent and shaking too. Little did he realize, he had lived. Dropping the switch blade he had in his hands, Henry lowered his hands from the "hands up" position they had been in and breathed as if he had no life left to give. He ran his fingers all over his body, starting at his chest to feel for bullet wounds, touching and grabbing at every part of him to ensure that he was not a ghost. He pinched his thigh for reassurance, digging in his nails "HORSEFEATHERS!!!!" he exclaimed, proving that he was not deceased - since he felt pain. He hopped around for a moment in a circle stopping only to admire the space he was in.
His panic was soothed when he looked up and around the place. It was vast and beautiful and bright. Looking up he saw many crystals that were stunning when the light shone through them. Henry's eyes widened and his jaw fell to the floor. "Well aw'll be... If Heaven be a place- damn didn't think they'd be puttin' awn the ritz faw me." He then unbuttoned the top button of his shirt, rubbing his throat. He felt choked up. He didn't know what to think. Henry exhaled heavily and looked to the floor in desperation. Henry's mind ran to his family. If he had been separated from them by death's hand, what would come of them? Henry lifted his cap and ran his fingers through his hair. He paced back and forth slowly. For a moment he paused. Then fell to his knees. If he was at Heaven's gates, what better is there to do? So he began to pray. "Lawd, get awn the level with me. I ain't no rag-a-muffin and I ain't prepared to be one eitha'. Now this here joint is keen and awll, but what kind a sitch-i-ation are you puttin' me in? I ain't no fall guy. My family don't deserve this none eith'a. I don't know from nothin' where you put me." Henry paused. "Just... Keep 'em safe. Aw-right?"

Kail was on his way to the Drunken Kray to actually see if they sold any wine in a bottle. As he was planning to do some cooking with it. While the blond was walking down the path a bright light flash blinded him for a few seconds. He got to his senses and carefully investigated who or what made the flash. As he got closer though he saw someone one wearing some what vintage clothing from his world. He then hears the guy speaking and it was surprising to hear some words that might have belonged to his grandparents time. Kail was dressed with jeans, a white shirt and some boots and he had made some leather fingerless gloves that were on his hands. "Trust me stranger your not at the pearly gates. Although your not on earth anymore" Kail said makes himself known to the new poor unfortunet soul that dropped into Nova. Since he saw no one else he thought it would be best to help this guy out to adjust to this new world. Kail was armed but with his silver knife and that was about it and it was currently still sheathed in its holster. " Let me introduce myself, I'm Killian Lancaster but you can call me Kail though" he said and walked over and held his hand to help the man back up.

On his knees, Henry had his head bowed and resting on his hands. When he heard the man approach he briskly turned his head. He gave the man a look up and down. His attire appeared too casual to be outside. He extended an arm to him, grabbing his wrist and pulling himself up- as he did so, he reached for the switchblade he dropped. Henry adjusted his cap and faintly nodded at the man, tipping his cap as he did so. "Much obliged... Kail." he hesitantly whispered. Henry lifted the blade into view of Kail, just beside his belt. Kail would notice that though it was small in size, the blade could do a lot of damage if used properly. Henry raised an eyebrow at Kail "Yew ain't here ta bump me oi-ff, are ya?" Henry ran his tongue over his bottom teeth to protrude his bottom lip, as he called it, he was putting his gangsta' face on. He wasn't sure of Kail's intentions, but he looked human, and was well spoken. He obviously was not from New York.
If Kail was not there to hurt Henry, as he had hoped he wasn't, Henry would flip the blade back into it's place, then tuck it in his pocket. Henry extended his hand to shake. "Now that I know yew ain't takin' any wooden nickles, the name is Henry Moore Jr. Yew may refer ta me as Henry." Henry smiled a charismatic toothy smile. His handshake would be firm and sturdy, but Kail would notice that when he pulled his hand away, he was left with a charred-coal residue resting on his palm.

Kail sees the switchblade and knew that Henry was not someone to take lightly and was going to be careful. Then he had to chuckle about him trying to take him out. "Far from it, good sir. Just trying to help someone out" he said and then sees him tip his hat to him. The blond would have to be a bit careful on how to approach Henry on the matter of explaining the world of Nova. From Kail's stature and posture he was not going to attack the man in front of him. He does see Henry trying to gauge him a bit and from that it seemed that the guy saw him as not a threat and held his arm out for a handshake. Which Kail did and had a firm grip nothing painful but at the same time it showed his strength. "Well then Henry, why don't we head over to that tavern that's a bit farther up the way here. There are a lot of things that I'm going to be telling you about the world your in now. So your gona need a few stiff drinks. Because what I say are not shinanigans" he said trying to see if that was a term used from that time.
Kail did look at his hand and saw the coal dust on the gloves and a bit on his fingers. He was not sure what era Henry did come from. That would be later when he would get to the tavern the drunken kray. The blond did wonder though if this guy was from the depression era or some where around then or a bit before.

Serenity had been out roaming, taking in the surroundings that were to be her new home, even if only temporarily. The place was gorgeous really, she couldn’t deny that. She strolled along random paths, having no true destination. She’d heard that there was a tavern of sorts here, along with various other little joints, but she’d yet to visit any of them. Serenity had just turned a corner, and found herself less than ten feet from Kail, and another man whom she did not know. She could hear them, though only barely.
Serenity moved to walk forward— she was not in view of Kail, who had his back to her, so she could clearly see the knife that the man had held up. Serenity stopped moving. What was going on? She watched the knife go down, and the man shook Kails hand. What had just occurred? Serenity moved slowly forward again, aware she was in the mans vision now, and cleared her throat.
Afternoon Mr. Lan-Kail… Afternoon sir. She bowed her head lightly, now standing next to the two men. What are you two doing out here? She smiled sweetly, a bit cautious of the new man before her.

When Kail took his hand, his grip was firm. Henry's lips curved at the sides, into a smirk. "Whoa, whoa, whoa... Drinks? Yew supplyin' gigglewata' here?" Henry stood back a moment. "I ain't joshin' yew. Bootleggin ain't a thing here?" Henry grew more and more confused. His brow was furrowed, as he ran his fingers over his disappearing stress lines that outlined his skull. "I may just needa take yew up on that there-"
His speech was stopped when he noticed a slender red haired women in garments that looked similar to what he had seen in Victorian paintings. She appeared to know Kail. Henry bowed before her, tipping his cap to acknowledge her. "Uhm, Henry Moore, ma'am. Pleasure ta meet the acquaintance of a dame like yewself." Henry removed his cap and took a step forward, "I hope I din't startle ya none." Henry looked to Kail again "Perhaps a drink is in oi-rda." He popped his cap back on his head, and stuck his hands in his pockets.

When Kail heard those words coming out of Henry reminded him of the old gangster movies or the stories and such. Then the look of surprise on the man's face was another indicator that the man was from the prohabishion era of the 1920's. Plus with attire and manner of speech did make sense. "Yeah no temperance movement here. You can have as much booze as you like" he said and then Serenity spoke up and he turned to see her. And she looked a tad worried on the situation. Then he sees Henry trying to put on the charm with Serenity. Which caused him to have a chuckle. Then hearing him saying a drink was in order "Well Serenity do you want to join us, He's a new Fated that got popped into this world. I have a few things to tell him about this world. I'll pay for the drinks and food" he said and knew that Henry would not have any money to get a drink and a bite to eat. Plus Kail did hope that Serenity would come back with him. As explaining things would be at least easier coming from two other people then just one person.

Serenity smiled as he introduced himself. Oh, the pleasure is mine. I am Serenity Caine. She bowed her head once more for a brief moment, and looked over to Kail. I would love to join you two. I’ve yet to visit that place, I will admit. She shrugged lightly, and arched an eyebrow at Kail.
This man was Fated? She supposed she should have assumed. From where, was the next question. Kail didn’t seem concerned, and Henry looked human— but so did Roxy if she chose to.
I will lend any assistance that I can. She nodded to Kail, understanding that he may need her help explaining. She knew from experience that some people didn’t take it well— she’d been one of them.

Henry laughed lightly under his breath. "Ain't that ta doozey. There ain't no legal limit is there? I ain't even legal back home." Henry looked to Kail for a response, and grew nervous at exploring this new world. All that was happening was still confusing. Henry began cracking his knuckles out of nervous habit. He raised his eyebrow's quickly, then darted his eyes back to Kail "So... erm... Shall we?" He extended an arm, allowing for Kail to proceed first.

"Yes lets, and not really by now in midevil era we are considered adults" said Kail and he saw the eyebrow raised by Serenity. As he knew that she was going to have some questions for them both. More so on Henry then him, but it did beg the question though. Why was he the only one from his era, as Serenity and Henry came from earlier time periods. Why was this the case for him though and it was kind of stressing him out. Even though Serenity was now perhaps his only friend in this world now. But Kail pushed it to the back of his head. As all of this was pointing back to one old hag he wanted to personally end himself. Never in his life did he actually want someone dead. This was another issue that was pushed back. None the less he started to walk ahead and assumed that Serenity and Henry. They would go a bit far not too much but it was a bit a way from where they were.
Once they walk inside the Drunken Kray it was a lively looking tavern and for someone like Henry. He would be seeing something out of a story book as the tavern looked really old world. Kail would head over to a table and pulls a chair out for Serenity. As he still had some manners "I'm not sure what you want to drink persay. But you can ask to see if they have anything from earth. Although I doubt it though" he said to Henry. As Kail was not sure himself if they had some of the heavier stuff then mead or other common drinks that were in the midevil era.

Serenity followed, gesturing for Henry to follow them both. Once they entered, Serenity looked around. She’d yet to come to this place. She smiled as Kail pulled out a chair for her. Why thank you darling She winked jokingly, and smiled, sitting down.
I’ll stick with wine. But I agree with Kail, you won’t find anything from earth here. She offered a sympathetic smile to Henry. It occurred to her, that the people he was currently spending time with, were the only people from earth that he would ever see again. Same for herself, and Kail. It was a sad though.
What year is it, where you come from? She had a feeling she came from an older time than he, as she did for Kail.

Henry followed behind Kail and Serenity with a careful swagger. He kept his head down, keeping sight of every place they passed by. When they entered the tavern, Henry saw a wide variety of characters. Each of them loud and eccentric like every New Yorker he had ever known. Henry tipped his cap to the bar keep, as they made brief eye contact. As Henry grabbed a chair, he swiveled a chair to face the seat to his front. He straddled the seat, making himself comfortable and preparing for whatever bomb these two were going to land on him about where he found himself.
Henry raised an eye to the two of them. "Ain't no giggle wata' from Earth? Yew means ta say that we ain't home no more?" Henry rested his wrists on the back of the chair, bowing his head to process what he heard. "So whadda they got here?" He asked. Out of stressful habit, he pulled out his silver cigarette case and pulled one of the sticks from its place. He held it to his lips "Anybodies got'ta light?" he pinched the cigarette between his teeth and looked at Serenity offering her a look of faint desperation. "The real McCoy? It was 1920." he let out a heavy breath, sticking the cigarette in his cheek.

Kail had a chuckle at Serenity's comment as she sat down and then sits down himself after Henry did. He reaches to the sides of his jeans and pulls out two bracelets. But they were not normal ones as they were made out of bone of some sort. That and some gemstones several different colored ones at that. He then puts them on and hears Henry ask what they had. "I think several wines, meads, and several ales. I personally want to try some mead though. Although I heard from rumor that they have a few bottles of White Lightning here. Since there are not proper distilleries" said Kail as he ordered a pint of mead for himself, some wine for Serenity and some food for the three of them. As a barmaid came to there table and the maid nodded her head and went back to the main counter. And as he heard Serenity asking a question about what era that Henry came from.
His guess was correct about that time where some of the legendary gangsters were alive and well. Then he asked for a light "Don't freak out just yet" said Kail with a slightly mischivious look in his face and extended his right arm and with his pointer finger uses his fire gem a small flame on his index finger came alight. "One of the things here that will be that. Magic is real and trust me things will get weirder soon" he said and hoped that he would take it well.

1920…? Kail, when did you say you were from, I am failing to remember? She turned to Henry. I am from 1854, London, England. She laughed as he pulled out a cigar of sorts, but much smaller. She didn’t think she’d see those again. She had been about the lit it with her gem, but Kail beat her to it.
We will get used to it together. Kail here has been in Nova longer than both of us. I’m still learning as well. She shrugged. She was hoping to help him from freaking out.
Allow me to explain some. You have been taken from Earth, but a God known as “Fate”. He has chosen you to come live with us in Nova. None of us know why he picks us, or for what reason it is taking us from our homes… But there are a lot of us now, trying to live in peace with the natives.. It’s not going well currently, but not all of them are unaccepting. Nova is not at all like Earth. There is magic, demons, monsters… Dragons. She smiled at Kail.
There is a King, but I do not know much on him. Gods and Goddess are very real here. Whatever religion you believed in on earth is irrelevant here I’m afraid. She stopped, the maid having arrived with what Kail ordered. She accepted her wine, sipping it politely.
I hope I didn’t overwhelm you.

After watching Kail light his cigarette out of a gem, Henry thought he had seen it all. He inhaled deeply, holding his breath for a few moments. Henry listened attentively to Serenity as she went on explaining everything about stories his mother used to read to him. They were all folklore, but now apparently this was his world. This world now known as "Nova" would be his new-found home.
Henry let out a cloud of smoke slowly off to the side away from his company. From across the room he waved over another waitress and ordered the strongest alcohol they had. In hearing this, Henry would look at Serenity and Kail and smile. "Yew know as well as I do," He reached into his back pocket for his flask. Raising it up to the two he smiled "In oi-rda' to deal with an earful- gotta have an edge." He took a small swig and tucked it back in his pocket.
Henry put his cigarette between his lips and took off his cap, setting it on the table. He ran his fingers through his hair, his thoughts disheveled and scattered. He reached for his cigarette again, flicked the residue off to the side and inhaled again. If he could no longer go back home, this may be the last of his cigarettes. Best to save the remainder of them for special occasions. He put out his cigarette, and popped it back into his silver case.
He looked to Serenity and smiled "So, 1854... Ain't that the cat's meow." he knew that she reminded him of the muse of an old Victorian painting. He looked to Kail "Whadda 'bout yew sir? Where yew from?"
