"That sums up pretty much everything for the most part, I don't think there is much to say. But I will say this, don't venture too far out of this town. There are a lot nasty creatures out there, as well as people. Also if your armed with a gun which I know you are armed with one. Only use it in a emergency, gun powder is going to be harder then a needle in a hay stack" said Kail as he had a bit of his mead and drank a bit of the sweet fermented drink and it was not too bad. He then sees Henry order whatever hard drink that they had in the tavern. So far the man was taking everything in stride. Which was good and he saw that he did have a hip flask of some kind of alcohol. Then he asks what era he came from "Came from Miami, Florida and the year was 2014. So I was dragged far from the future of earth. So there are a lot of things I know that happen, but that's a moot point here in Nova" Kail said as Henry's order came out and it was a average sized bottle and it had a clear liquid inside.

"Anyway.....right now I am trying to stockpile a lot of different weapons and magical items. I think there will be a clash with the Nova Kingdom. Or there guardsmen coming here, this is our last haven. Most of the people of Nova want us dead. Its like the Salem Witch Trials or worse with there hunt on us. I honestly want to kill the harlot that stirred the pot for all of this. I have never wanted to kill someone until now" said Kail as it looked like he was not the truly violent person. But it did show that this world did change people to some degree in some aspects.

Serenity looked at Kail curiously. She wasn’t fazed by the time period in which he was from- she’d known he was from her future, though she hadn’t known how far in the future… that was 160 years difference! But what Serenity was curious about, was that Kail was right— she knew what happened in the past of his world— which meant he knew the happenings of hers. She’d never thought to ask. Was the mass murderer killed? Were women free to roam at night without having to hide in the shadows? Were woman able to have more rights?

Serenity stayed silent, drinking her wine cooly as Henry ordered his drink and it was brought to him. He was a handsome man, she had to admit— but what she also noticed, was that she had yet to judge him. When she had first appeared in the Moon Temple, and Kail had found her, her first instinct was to judge him appearance, therefore assuming the type of person he may be. She took pride in the changes she’d made.

I was curious, who is responsible for this— I didn’t think it was the King. She looked to Henry, Someone wants to hunt down the Fated— that’s us— and kill us for some reason. We’ve done nothing wrong, well, we hadn’t. Long story— but there’s someone seeking war with us, and we don’t know why.

Henry's head shot up at Kail as he mentioned firearms. His hand shot up, pointing an accusatory finger his way "Tha fuck yew say?" He flicked his cigarette off to the side, staring down Kail. "Well excuse me ain't none o' ya beeswax what I do and don't have." Henry took in a big puff of smoke and blew it out of his nose. In that moment he would resemble a bull preparing to run into a matador. "If ya'otta know, befoire I got here, some bimbos was gonna bump me oi-ff. I loist it." Henry angrily fidgeted in his seat, rubbing his chin and extending his jaw. He looked to Kail again, Henry began to calm down feeling sorry for blowing up so quickly. "Ya shouldn't just assume nothin'. Like e'erythin's copacatic."

Henry turned his body to the side of the chair, leaning against his knees. His only way of coping with this in front of these strangers was to either blow up like he did, or look away. He was facing Serenity, he briefly looked at her and offered a quick apologetic smile. "Sarry there missus." he looked to Kail too. "Sarry, this is... quite the earful..." Henry listened to Kail as he continued, and he found out that to his surprise Kail was from his future. Henry flashed a quick smile as he mumbled a chant hopefully familiar to Kail "U.S.A. , U.S.A. , U.S.A.!" Henry laughed under his breath. He brought the conversation back to a more serious matter, Henry's tone grew worried. "So, yew kno' what'le happen to my family? The history an all?" Henry didn't have much of an education, quitting highschool to join his father in the factory. Henry breathed in more smoke, slowly this time.

Henry listened to the two go on about some war. Henry had had enough of wars, they just finished one from his timeline- this should have been his time to celebrate. At this point, the waitress would arrive with all of their drinks. Henry smiled at her, thanking her for her services. He looked at his cloudy glass, that was filled 3/4 with some brownish-red liquid. He tapped his glass to the table and began to chug it down. The drink went down smooth, but was burning his sinuses. He stopped half way through it, choking on a cough. When he had asked for strong, they had certainly delivered. He wiped his mug then continued to drink. When he finished his glass he placed it back on the table, gesturing over to the bar keep for another round. Henry took a deep breath in, then began. "So... You's tellin' me, I wuz "Fated" into this here world, where it's war time? Against us? Who has no idea why we here?" Henry required a moment to recuperate all this information and process it.

As he was coming to the butt end of his cigarette, he looked to Serenity and Kail. "How loi-ng have yous been here? Musta' been a while if yew been collectin' arms." He looked at Kail for the end of his statement. Offering the end of his cigarette to the Earthly strangers, Henry said "Anybody want a taste o' home?"

"Sorry, if I crossed the line there Henry." said Kail but it seemed that he was kind of right on the money on him having a gun. But paid it no mind for right now and had a laugh at the USA chant as that brought some sense of earth here. But then he heard the question of what the fate of his family was going to be. "That I do not know at all, I know general stuff not everything that happened to every individual person. But humanity has accomplished much in the last 50 or more years we were able to put a man on the moon. Plus many more things, like certain deseases have been cured. I have a few devices that came with me from my time" he said and then hears Serenity speaking up about the current problem with them the fated. Then asking about the reason for it. Then Henry asking about it, on why they were dragged here in the first place as well as other questions. Kail does see the offer of the cigarette and waves his hand no "Sorry its all yours and I do appreciate the offer" he said.

"I think that they fear the unknown of people from other worlds. That's just the common man in Nova, but.....I think we are being used by someone to instigate a war with the King. Hopefully to take him out, as well as ourselves. Which I think is being concocted by one of the higher end nobles. A woman by the name of Severine. And now as to why we are brought here, not sure but a god by the name of Fate has something to do with it. Even though I have been here longer then Serenity by at least I think by a month. I still don't know nothing" Kail said and a board of meats, cheeses, and a large sized loaf of bread was brought to them. Most of the meats looked like some basic cold cuts. Like some cured or smoked meats, and some of the cheese though looked like was cheddar from the orange coloration. "Saddly I only got to his place only five days ago. I don't have a lot of weapons. But I have a workshop, that does have a working forge and laboratory. But total amount of time I have been here.....I would say at least 3 to 4 months, maybe a bit more" said Kail and then uses the knife on the board to slice some of the bread for the other two.

"Right now I just need raw materials to make most of my stuff. Given enough time, I might be able to make gunpowder. But that is a big if, I don't know where some minerals might be at in Nova. But for now we should eat for awhile" said Kail as he started to cut some of the sarono ham.

Serenity looked between the two of them, stunned by the outburst. She was going to speak, but stopped when Henry apologized. She nodded to him and looked to Kail. This woman… This Severine…. This is who was out for blood? Serenity narrowed her eyes. Nobles weren’t very noble in this world were they?

Serenity looked up at the barmaid as various meets were brought to their table, and she smiled her thanks. I have been here for about two months. maybe two and a half. Really, not long at all. She reached over and took a piece of meat— it looked like ham but she highly doubted it.

Gunpowder, Kail? Do you think that’s wise? Creating something from earth on Nova? I think that they would revolt against the fated even more if we started changing how they do things, and what their weapons are. I mean they could love it, but then it would be one more thing they could use against us later… I’m not sure it’s a good idea darling. She shook her head, making her opinion clear. She wasn’t being rude, simple honest. She looked to Henry, shaking her head at his offer.

Thank you Sir, but the smoke harms my lungs. I’ve never been any good with it. She shifted away slightly, the smoke nearing her nose. And I gather that where you are from, any war that went on is over? Well then I apologize for you being dragged back into one— though in all honestly, it’s not yet a war… more like… a hunt really. She made a sour face at the meat she tried, and chose another, once again sipping her wine.

Henry nodded to the two individuals who declined the offer of his cigarette, he took no offence to it- smoking wasn't for everyone... Unless you were from his time. Henry smiled at Kail when he mentioned a man on the moon. "Applesauce! Yew kiddin' me? Shoot, why that'd be the bees-knees!" He smiled at the accomplishment of humanity on Earth, man his family had a bright future.

Henry listened attentively to Kail's story about nobles, the hunt, who's behind it all... It all didn't sit right with him. He looked to Serenity as she mentioned the end of the war back home. "Thank yew." he said solemnly. Henry finished off his cigarette, cautiously moving away from Serenity so not not get smoke near her. He put it out on the ground, stepping on it gently in a circular motion. Henry only listened when it came to the gun powder and weaponry. He had nothing of the sort to say about it. Until Serenity threw it that it could have a negative effect towards the "Fated". "Shewt, I think she be roight. If they get them hands on it- which they may as well do- then we're screwed."

Henry looked to Kail apologetically. "If yew need help in yew's shop, I'd be glad to oblige. Give me a hollar." Henry looked at the platter and took several pieces of meat and cheese, stuffing his face from hunger.

Kail looked at his fellow earthlings and nodded if they both said it was an ill idea on the gunpowder. But if it gave them the edge then they should use it. But since he did not have any resources at all or the right way to make it. It would have needed some testing and in a cave like this would be an ill idea. "I figured that technology would give a slight edge. But I am going to heed your warnings on this, I've been prone to some stupid ideas as of late" he said and drank a bit more of his mead and then set his mug back down. He raises a bit of his eyebrow with Henry that if he wanted help in his shop. Kail had not opened it fully but if he had help around there he could make a bit of coin. "You know what, I'll take you up on that offer. And I can teach you what I know on using a forge and other things. Heck I think I can make glassware so if you get back to earth. You might have a trade skills to use Henry. I've not opened my shop fully but I might now" he said and figured why the heck not now.

"Serenity see if Rivers has a extra room at Haven for Henry? If not he might know someone here that might know a place for him to stay" said Kail as he disliked Rivers a whole lot. But in this situation though he was going to be a help with this guy. Since he knew not too much on Nova but knew a little bit, but not enough for survival though.

Serenity let out a silent breath of relief when Kail agreed to heed the warning. His idea was smart, but now was simply not the right time for it. She took a sip of her wine and watched the two interact, a smile appearing on her face when Kail agreed to have Henry help him with his work. I think that’s a splendid idea! Serenity nodded in agreement, thrilled that Kail seemed to be getting along with Henry. Serenity didn’t know a lot about Kail, but she knew he didn’t speak to many.

Speak with Rivers? It’s my house as much as his. He did pay for it, but there’s a guest room with your name on it Mr. Moore. She tapped his shoulder encouraginly and shrugged to Kail. If Rivers objected — which she had a feeling he wouldn’t -he could take it up with her. It would be a pleasure to have you. Currently, aside from myself, there is Rivers, Miss. Roxanne, and Miss. Lia who live there… and baby dragon, but that’s another story. Mr. Lancaster here was supposed to join us… but perhaps that’s for another day. Serenity glanced at Kail nervously, hoping she hadn’t said to much.
