Aria woke up in a cold sweat; that dream had been unsettling. Why had she been dreaming about Bel? She looked out the window….it was still pitch dark out. It had to be in the middle of the night….but she didn’t think she was sleeping any time soon. Aria threw off her sheets at put her feet to the cold stone floor. She was in an oversized shirt, probably one she had swiped from the guards. It at least covered her to her lower thigh. The sleeves had to be rolled up; but it was comfy enough to sleep in. Her hair was let loose in wild waves, a bit messier then it normally was.
Feeling restless she got up and confined, she slipped out of her room. The castle was quiet at night…a walk would probably clear her head. Since she wasn’t allowed out of the castle with out an escort, she would have to settle exploring the halls….least there weren’t any manna corrupted beasts running around.
Aria had been wandering for an hour, she found herself near the top of the castle…a familiar place and a familiar door. One of the only “safe” places of this castle in her time…She sat down on the cold floor just outside of the door and rested her back against the wall with her eyes closed. She hadn’t entered any rooms in her wandering, she still wouldn’t….but at least being near a familiar place was a little comforting.

"Who is there?"
A voice came from inside the room, bearing a note of confusion and timidity; soft, but curious. A figure stood before a small table to the left of the entrance, its features concealed in darkness; only the silhouette illuminated by the candle atop the table was visible. The figure took a few steps toward Aria, and stopped. Two gleaming lights blazed out from the space where one would expect to see a person's eyes, like diamonds in the darkness-piercing light, like the brilliance of the stars on a bare night. The room became perceptibly cold, and the candle fluttered as a gust passed in through the grand window beyond it. Silence permeated the chamber; an oppressive silence like suffocation. The figure spoke:
"Aaahh! So you're the one whose presence has caused such commotion in my master's court? The new Noru...what was your name? Elaine? Erra? You know, you have created some interesting work for me as of late. The situation with Noku's advisor--such a pity, really; the woman is well known for her talents in this kingdom--a messy affair it has proven to be, you know. One cannot simply strong-arm the strong-willed, no?" A chuckle came forth, and silence resumed in the chamber. The voice was warm now, almost jovial, and carried well. One had the sense, however, of it being muted, as if a thin layer of paper or plaster separated the speaker from the listener. It spoke again. "I was not expecting you, here, or at this hour. Whereby do you come to these chambers at such a time?" The figure stepped into the center of the room, and the light of the candle fell across its face, revealing a man's features. A dark green shirt of oriental embroidery, tinged with gold woven at intervals into the fabric adorned him. His breeches were of the same material, and his shoes appeared to be likewise of cloth, but indiscernible in the dim lighting. His face was smiling and open, an amiable expression that carried a sinister appearance by the shadows flitting chaotically from the disturbed candle. Behind him, a lavish bed was visible, large drapings of cloth concealing most of it.
The man had been standing with his hands clasped behind him. As though possessed by an idea, he brought one to his chin, and leaned forward to glance a little into the hallway. "Perhaps you are here to meet with someone? A fateful encounter, or a sordid love affair? AH! A handsome man of his majesty's court, for whom your heart cannot rest! A mysterious and darkened countenance hiding his burning passion for your spiraling locks?" The figure raised an eyebrow, and a wide grin crossed his face. He bore down his gaze upon Aria like an inquisitor, and the green in his eyes became strongly visible at close range, despite the shadows.

Aria jerked to a sitting position as someone called out, she hadn’t been expecting anyone to be up here!.... How the heck did they hear her??? She wasn’t loud…and not wearing shoes…She glanced down at her toes. Frick, she wasn’t wearing any pants either. Shirt was long enough though. She slowly got to her feet as the figure chose to babble on; her blue green gaze watching him for any movement. Aria didn’t think anyone in Noku’s court would go after her…currently. But it paid to be cautious. She listened to the man babble on with a slight bit of curiosity, trying to work out exactly whom this man was. She tilted her head to the side as he mentioned something of note….he was dealing with Severine.
Aria took in his features as backed up into the light, she stood outside of the door a good few feet away from the entrance. With the lighting he looked like he was about to tell the scariest stories around the campfires during Sadens holiday….he certainly created a creepy air. In a Rivers dressed up as a servant that could be selling candy in dark ally ways creepy….But she supposed it was awkward showing up when, where, and how she did.
THEN he had to jump to a conclusion that made Aria’s curious, wary gaze, turn to one of pure disbelief at what she was hearing. Her eyes bugged out and her cheeks went red and she rapidly shook her head, sending wild red hair flying.
”GOSH no! NOooooo you got the wrong idea! I fully plan on being a crazy old spinster with a fondness for cats!”
Her cheeks were still blazing as she scratched the back of her head in embarrassment.
”I was having trouble sleeping; I’ve been up and wondering for about an hour now…your eyes are really familiar you know…Have we met before?”
Weirdness for weirdness, yes? She still stood awkwardly outside of the room. She wondered why this man was up at this time?

Breton stared at the red headed fated woman as she entered into view. Her face and that distinct-able scar burning into his mind as a smile slowly crept along his pressed lips. This was the girl who was curious at the moon temple and the one that had found her way into Noku's court as a possible cain lineage. A wonderful encounter and perhaps; a fateful one.
Breton raised a brow when the woman sudden be came hysterical. It seemed that his assumptions might not be that far off from how defensive she was becoming to a complete stranger just making assumptions. A grin spreading wider as he suddenly burst into laughter at Aria's dramatic 'Noooo' . " Oh my, So I guess you're not the kind of girl to go sneaking around in the middle of the night in only a t-shirt lost on the way to your lover's room. What a shame. An here I thought I stumbled upon some new juicy gossip." The man jest, shrugging his shoulders and letting out a long drawn out sigh.
Once she began to very vaguely explain why she was up here, Breton's grin slowly faded into a stern interrogating stare. " Having trouble sleeping." Breton repeated to himself as if not sure if he had heard the young woman correctly. " I hear honey and tea helps the soul sleep… However, that still doesn't explain why you are wondering all the way up here in only a night shirt miss?" He asked, ignoring her comment about his eyes and if they had met before.

Aria pouted as he mocked her, really she was just horrified at the idea that she had a lover….she didn’t think Garrett counted as one… or did he? That whole affair was extremely complicated at the moment. Guess the way she was dressed didn’t help matters.
”No I’m not, I’m the type of girl who goes wandering around in the middle of the night just because….and one who apparently is not used to having to give much thought into her appearance.”
The tips of her ears were red again, she really did just forget to put on pants….she wasn’t use to having to get dressed to walk around. The fact she was in a large shirt was a blessing. She wasn’t THAT comfortable here yet. She quirked an eyebrow at him for his avoidance to her question, she was well versed in the avoidance game….
”I did not believe I had permission to go raiding the castle food supplies…If I do I’ll happily go make my way down to the pantries.”
Sher rested a hand on her hip, as her blue green eyes boldly studied the man. His demeanor and natural ass like habits reminded her of core. He was amusing at least.
”Yes, trouble sleeping. I get nightmares a lot…For further explanation, really my lack of clothes is a habit apparently while in polite society I need to work on. Second I tend to wander up higher when I want to relax, whether it be trees, buildings, bookcases, this happens to be the tallest tower. So frankly me being up here is just the result of old habits.”
Wasn’t’ really a satisfactory answer, but it was the only one she had...
”So I know for a fact I wasn’t very loud in my wanderings, no shoes to make much noise…..What has you awake at such a late hour?”
