Kail had a nightmare of a massive hoard of Zombies and other evil things attacking a castle. As he sat up, the blond looked over and saw the Knife of Destiny glow slightly. This made him think and though the best place that this vision had in mind was Nova. This made him frown and hoped this was a false call, but Kail could not ignor it. But knowing that this was going to be bad if this vision did happen. He gathered his things and his equipment especially his Mana Railgun. He placed his two survival knives into his back pack, his armor, and some other things for the trip out. He then got some of his other things and trekked out to Nova, and the trip was uneventful. Kail had gotten into the Bloody Marry and placed money down for a few nights. As he relaxed a voice of terror screamed out and yelled out a legion of undead were coming. The pit in Kail's belly grew as the vision was true, so he went to his room and got ready.
He came back out dressed for bare as he was fully armed and had all of his weapons on him. Kail walked out to the west gate as soldiers were rushing over there. As well as several voluntiers showed up, and as he got closer the moans of the undead were wailing. It made him shiver in fear but was ready for it, to the best of his abilities. The blond doubted that it was a zombie virus. Since there was a red mist he could see as well as the shambling corpses and skeletons. "Well this is just wonderful.....who in the hell made all of these things"he said to himself and Kail was wearing his black skull drake hide armor. Kail had added a bandolier ammo holsters for his Mana Railgun. And said weapon was on his back. His left forearm had his shield and short sword and one of his survival knives on that arm. His right arm had the other one strapt on there. His waist on his left had his long sword, the other had his gunblade, and on the rear of his waist was his knife of destiny.
"........This is not a random attack...there has to be something more here" Kail said again as his hair was now in a long braided ponytail as he did not want a stray hair to get in his way while fighting or shooting his main weapon.

The moon was unordinarily bright, it's beams lighting the way as a lone figure made its way slowly down a quiet alleyway. The destination based on the orange haired woman's slightly swayed walk was the Outer Wall. She hummed softly a popular pub song as she made her way back to the forest from the Mary. Kaylia found solace in the local pub, during her time it was home in more ways than one. Here, although the faces were different, she still felt relaxed within the ruckus and boisterous patrons that frequented. It also helped her to gather information and sharpen her senses especially after a mug or two of ale.
A chilling breeze made her stop. Usually the crisp air associated with the changing of the seasons was welcomed, except this breeze was different, sinister. Orange eyes scanned her surroundings quickly to find a vantage point. With the grace of a feline she hoisted her body up on top of the nearest building and made her way towards the wall purely on gut instinct.
She wasn't quite dressed to be in this weather, small goose bumps ran up her bare arms. Her sleeveless coat ruffled in the wind, the collar pulled up to protect her neck and to save what little body heat it could. Matching gauntlets adorned her wrists, intricate mechanisms showing that they are more than what they seem.
Her breath created small clouds as she surveyed from her perch. Kaylia caught sight of the blond and her eyes trailed to the direction he was heading, straight to an army of monsterous propotions. "What in the Gods names........"
Quickly she exploded off to meet the approaching horde, a quick flick of her wrists and her gauntlets folded out revealing crossbows. As she ran she quickly loaded three bolts into each, preparing for the first shot. She jumped and landed gracefully next to Kail. "Need some help?"

She was just out for a walk her hands twitching as she kept a hold on her staff, the night been putting her off and ever since she did a daily reading and the cards of ‘The Shadow’, ‘The Return’ and ‘The Dark’ appeared it put her on the edge all night. Those three cards together told her that something was wrong with the world and with her powers having become so limited she couldn’t reach out and find the cause of the problem to see if it was something to do with the dead. Not wanting to dwell on the fact that her powers were less and she would need to find a way to train her magic once again and get back into Zepon’s good grace in this world.
A sudden chill of the wind cause her to turn her eyes towards the west, it was causing the hair on stand on ends. Tighten the hold on her staff she started moving towards the west, wishing more than anything that she knew her way around this place it was so unlike her home and the way the people dress was different was well, so far she been able to pass herself off as a fortune teller. Getting closer to because of her chill she notice a fog off in the distance that was red in colour.
Quickly she picked up her pace seeing some people running towards the direction that she was heading. Following them she cursed under her breath for not feeling the magical signature of another more powerful being. Moving at a faster pace she notice that just outside the gates were some weapons it seems meant for the people who wanted to help fight whatever the issue was, quickly grabbing a bow and a full quiver of arrows, she dashed through the gates.
Stopping to catch her breath she started her chant, “Lights of the world guide this servant with the power to protect those she cares about. Zepon Guide me!” She closes her eyes knowing that even in this world Zepon would protect her as the familiar magic yet different at the same the golden, black and red lights surround her as she felt her clothes melt away into her familiar blue armor, and her wings appearing. Once finished she took her staff and place it onto the belt and ran the rest of way closer to the front lines.
Seeing Kail along with another female she slowed her pace, stopping right next to them as she notched an arrow in her bow. “Does anyone know the cause or who is doing this magic.” Her eyes fixed on the fog as it seem to slowly roll forward as the reminds of the dead seem to move forward, shooting the closest one to them her aim a little off because she never really mastered the bow and has chosen to do hand to hand combat. “What’s the plan for this, I can attack from the air if anything.”

Kail was steeling himself for battle as he was already trying to figure out how to take down a lot of these undead. As he was about to make a move a woman had jumped over to him. Asking if he needed help and saw that she was armed with two arm mounted crossbows. "Yeah I am going to need all the help I can get" he did size up the woman next to him. He also saw that she had a sword or two. "You can call me Kail for right now" he said and was going to draw one of his weapons until he heard a familure voice above him and sees Nyx doing her magical girl thing. Seeing armed with a bow and arrow and asks what what was causing this. And what was the plan for them "To create this amount of undead it has to be one of three things. One some kind of extremely powerful magical object, Two a very powerful necromancer, or three a divine being like a god or goddess. But we need to get rid of a lot of these things" Kail said and reached on to his back and pulled out a large crossbow like weapon and then loaded it with a spike like weapon. Then took aim and was holding it like a rifle. It even had a butt end like one and electrical sounds could be heard as the weapon came to life.
For either woman this could have been a surprise for them and then Kail took aim. He then pulled the tigger and fired and there was a bit of recoil from the shot. But the metal spike was shot as it racked up several headshots in a straight line as it went though the heads of the undead. Making several of them shatter from the shear force that the weapon shot the spike. "We take as many as we can take down Nyx unless something happens. That can change the tide of this battle. Also if you want something stronger you can borrow this weapon. I'm a bit better in melee combat" said Kail as he pulled a lever on the side of the crossbow and cocked it back loading another spike like weapon. He was more then willing to give this weapon to either lady if they wanted. Since he wanted to get in there and slay some undead with his blades. Since he was not sure how Nyx could handle herself in a fight like this.

(the violin music from the link below (starting at around 46 seconds) begins to play) As a gust of wind blows over the wall Rivers appears standing on the ramparts with a violin in hand. "Besieged, beset this city stands, against the hordes of tainted lands, we raise our steel and spell on high, and let loose a mighty battle cry" As he speaks his coat begins to glow softly and small green lights begin to appear around Rivers. "In this time of trouble and woe, the people call out for a hero, This song is for those who answered their cries, For those who were willing to risk their lives." The wind begins to carry his words so that all in the city can hear them. "For when this city is as risk to fall, who else but the Fated answer the call." Rivers begins to play the violin again and as he does a rock falls from empty air beyond the walls, it disappears and then reappears from the original position, building up momentum each time. Then Rivers points the bow of his violin at an unengaged section of the hoard and the rock suddenly launches towards them as if it was shot out of a cannon.

“You may call me Kaylia. If we make it out of here alive Kail, first round is on me at the pub.”
A silent prayer left her lips as she sized up the approaching enemies. She cast a side glance at Nyx, calculating their chances with the arrival of new allies. “My money is on one of the Gods, they seem to always have a sick sense of humor when it comes to dealing with us mortals. I’d bet whomever is to blame isn’t too far away to watch their masterpiece unfold.”
As a few lead runners broke through the line of guards she took action. To aim her gauntlets, Kaylia stretched her arms out at the ghouls and twitched a finger on each hand, with each twitch a bolt sailed. The first two made direct hits shattering the skulls of their targets, the third whizzed past just clipping the shoulder of the enemy. She quickly followed the botched shot with another this time hitting its mark. “Do either of you know magic? I would assume fire should do the trick to take out more than picking them off one by one.”
When she caught sight of Kail’s weapon her interest peaked. “That is a very interesting device; I’ve never seen anything like it before. If you are so quick to pass it on, let our new companion take it to the air. She’ll have a better vantage point on high ground.”
Another twitch, another bolt sailed.
“So nice to see you again Mr. Third.” She called over her shoulder to Rivers, a smirk flashed across her face.

Nyx eyed the weapon that Kail took off his back, she had to admit it reminded her of another weapon from her world, but she couldn’t put her tongue on what it was. Watching the way he operates the weapon. She had to admit it seem simple enough to work if he was willing to let her borrow it for the fight.
Turning to Kaylia a faint smile on her lips,“Sadly I only know water magic. It’s enough to push them back but not enough to deal a fatal wound to them.” She said not wanted to add that it would take a while for her to charge the magic into a big enough ball to keep the zombies at bay long enough for someone to take them out. Looking to the sky she wondered if Zepon would be kind enough to give her a little of her old magic back just for the evening.
“I don’t mind taking it for the time. Enough ammo I could take out as many as needed.” She said as she nocked another arrow taking aim for the next closest zombie. As soon as she was about to fire a wall of stone when flying at some off to the side, looking behind her notice a man standing. Giving a little wave of her hand, before turning to Kail waiting to see if he would offer her the weapon before taking off into the air.
Taking to the sky once again she switched her weapons around being careful not drop any of them since it would a pain to fly back down and grab them. Now with her staff in her hand, “Light of the world guide this servant with water. Water come to me!” She said as she let the water form at the end of her staff without a water source near by it took a couple of minutes, which was more than they can afford before a sizeable ball was formed. Swinging her staff towards the wave watching as the water push them back. She switched weapons again ready, promising herself only to use her magic if she has to.

Deep in the wood, where the red knee high fog was still wading through the undergrowth of the Forever Forest; Something much larger was slowly stalking its way through the woods and to the Western Gate towards the group. It's lumbering body could barely move through some parts of the forest. What parts it couldn't get through it forced its way through by brute strength. The sound of wood crackling and snapping would be the first alarm to the group at the size of the creature. The large tree trunks would snap or give root as it moved. Even it's head reached up to the tree's branches, causing them shake as it stepped. Bird's sounding alarms and flying into the air from the tree tops that they were once perched on. Low groans came from the large creature, finally reaching close enough for the group to see what was wading through the crimson fog. A undead giant that stomped heavily and slowly forth through the forest in their direction. It cared not for the other undead below it, kicking them out of the way or crushing them beneath it's feet with each step. Even at it's slow speed the giant would reach the gate in a matter of time.
(( Giant will be at the gate in TWO post turns. ))

"Alright I will pay for the second round then if we get out of this " said Kail as he then starts taking off the ammo pouches for his Mana Railgun and the ammo pouches for it. "I know a few but nothing for fire though. But my fire gems can off set that" he said and places the weapon down for Nyx to use and looks over at her. "Agreed, Nyx if you saw me use this you know how to load this thing. One thing to note, there is a Armor Piercing ammo so use it against a nasty target, there spiraled like a drill bit" he said and withdrew his gunblade and was ready to brave the hoards that were comming at them. So he then waits after Nyx used her water spell to push the enemy away and then heard a very loud moan. This was not a zombie that was close to him but far in the distance. As well as loud thumping footsteps. He could see from the haze of the mist that something big and undead was coming. Then a violin was heard and Kail heard Rivers singing then just a bit later rocks would crush a section of undead that they were not fighting at the moment.
"I hope we can take down that thing if it gets here" he said and then brandished his Gunblade and then got into the thick of things as he turned on his fire gems making the blade become red hot. Almost if it were ablaze with flame and started to slash and cleave through the mobs of Zombies and Undead. They needed to clear out as many of the peons as they could so that they could tackle the big bad that was coming. So at least the soldiers could get to fight some of these things and not panic too much. But as a Zombie was going to strike him from the left. Kail smacked the zombie hard with his shield breaking its head off of its shoulders. Kail was not going to give up or give in, he was going to live and see the sun rise in the morning. "Ok you wackjobs your all gona go down" he yelled and pushed the attack forward at the enemy.

Ri'ariel heard about the hoard of undead from panicked citizens and was making her way to the closest gate, cutting through the crowds that were fleeing the gates to hope for protection from the hoard further within the city. Making good time by enhancing her own reflexes to increase the speed at which she could move as well as how well she could dodge through the flood of citizens. Sure she had signed up for the military but she had never expected to be facing down a hoard of the undead, hell she was still at the lower end of the totem pole when it came to rank.
She cleared the gate and came to a halt just behind a group who had arrived to defend the gate before her, the four of them seemed to be working together rather well so far. Being a support type magi she hung back from them but did announce her presence, "What in the living hells is this?!" She held her walking staff in her left hand to ward off any who may get by the four who were in front of her. She could see the giant in the distance and was not all to excited about the situation that was headed their way.
Calling up her internal manna stores she starts to build up the basic parts of her spells, leaving out what is to be augmented until she knows what each person may need. Her highly analytic eyes were studying the others the man with the strange weapons seemed to be doing alright on his own right now and the woman with the crossbows was fairing well too. The woman in the blue armor looked like she might need some help with her aim especially if she was going to be using that weapon the male had handed to her. Then there was the bard who had just flung a large rock at the hoard to help squash a few of them, she looked to the woman in the blue armor. She extended her right hand and completed the mental part of her spell to augment her reaction speed and visual acuity. "I'll provide support where I can, sorry if any of my spells cause any disorientation." Releasing the hold on her spell a small alchemic circle appears on Nyx's forehead to mark that the spell took hold giving her the desired benefits.
The solders that were with Ari took up defensive positions around her to keep her as safe as they could while she was suing her support magics. She was hoping she wouldn't have to channel at all today but that lumbering oaf was most likely going to be a problem. While the other fought she began to draw one of those alchemical circles around where she stood using her staff to prepare for using that spell. Sure she could without the circle but with the circle she would be able to keep it active three times longer.

Kaylia shot Kail a smirk. “It’s a deal.” In the short break of enemies coming her way she reloaded her gauntlets, as soon as the last bolt snapped in she quickly let loose a projectile right between the eyes of an attacker making its way towards Kail.
As Nyx took to the air and started her own attack Kaylia quickly shouted advice. “Don’t worry about the ones in front; let some get through so we can take care of them on the ground. If you space it out you’ll have enough ammo and won’t be overwhelmed.”
She let loose the remaining two bolts from her dominant arm, emptying the cartridge into another undead. Realizing this was as good of a time as any to unsheathe her cutlass. A sudden flick of her wrist disengaged the crossbow on her right arm and she hastily pulled the blade from its sheath on her hip.
She turned to face the next horde.
Kaylia froze. Her eyes went wide as she stared into the darkness searching for the culprit uprooting the forest. Small vibrations timed as long drawn steps made the pebbles near her feet jump and dance with each thunderous footfall.
The falter in her concentration unfortunately cost her. A fresh gash stretched across her chest from her left shoulder to just above her breast. A slew of curse words flew from her mouth as she enacted her revenge, burying the blade into the chest of the culprit. With her foot she kicked and pushed the corpse free letting it fall to her feet. The stinging from the wound lasted only a moment, numbness set in from the adrenaline flowing through her body.
A new companion was a relief, especially with the new reinforcements of guards. “We’re happy for the help!”

“Drinks on Kail I can toast to that,” Nyx said as she adjusted the Mana Railgun in her arms getting used to the weight of it. “Yep, I might miss a first couple of shots,” She said as she flew back up into the air. Following the steps that Kail took before loading it with the ammo and taking aim, she has seen people in her world use a rifle to channel their magic. As she was about to fire the first shot she felt the magic focus on her, turning around, she saw the source of the magic. “It is okay I am used to being attacked with magic,” She said smiling feeling the woman’s spell wash over her body feeling her reaction time speeding up.
Nodding her head to Kaylia, as she took her aim at the wave that was behind those that she had pushed back earlier. Firing the shot being pushed back from the force of it sending her to the ground for a moment before she could steady herself and get back up in the air. “Kail! By chance does this thing have magical properties.” She asked since she felt some magic coming from it, if she would find a way to channel her magic though the weapon she would push the wave back after each shot keeping them at their distance.
The sounds of trees falling and footsteps that seem to shake some of the ground. Looking up she noticed from her current vision a head appearing out of the fog. “Shit. Guys we might have bigger trouble in coming.” She said as she reloaded the loaded the Mana Railgun, waiting for full body of the giant to come into view. It was the only thing that she hated about her position in the sky at the moment it gave it a better view of the battle field but it put her at a disadvantage with the weapon with the recoil.
Calling now to the newcommer. “What type of spells do you have?” Thinking that if the first spell gave her faster reaction time maybe if she had something to help her move a small bit faster in the air she could do a fly over the zombie and take on the big guy while the others face the smaller ones. Just slowing down the giant would be more than enough until while her companions thin out the field if she can’t take him down.

Rivers continues to play the violin as the fight continues and his wind whips through the enemies blowing them around and breaking petrified bones. Though as one of his new companions mentioned that she was a water mage lacking her element he suddenly changes the tune of his song.
"Well if you think you can help more when you are in your element..." he begins, then suddenly a torrent of water from the Dragon Breath Falls erupts from a empty space and begins to wash some of the approaching zombies away. "Well that's the help I can give you now. I've got a different beast to bear." He laughs as he suddenly steps off the wall onto empty air and begins to walk in the sky out of the wall to get a better look at the giant. He places several tunnels around himself that would redirect an attack from the monster back towards the horde heading in the opposite direction.
"Today we spin an epic of a desperate defense, but no listener would be satisfied with a tragic end at this point." He shouts defiantly at the hulking creature.

A gush of water bursts through the first set of hordes, pushing them further back to where the Giant was still walking forward, un phased by the rushing water from the falls that swept most of the undead back. The Giants head slowly turned on it's shoulders when River's had appeared into view. The lumbering beasts eyes, milky and stained yellow locked onto the bard. It's jaw unhinging to let out a bellowing cry as it lifted it's arm to possibly attempt to swat the man from the sky. However, it's bellows seemed nothing in compared to the strange scream that suddenly interrupts the on going hordes that had not been knocked off their feet or swept away by the water. Even the mighty Giant in mid swing stopped as the scream travels and shakes the earth in a steady rumble. For just this moment, The undead stood motionless, not daring to take another step towards the great city gates. The rumbling only lasting a few seconds after the scream fades. A eerie calm settles in to those who notice.
** To those in the sky **
A faint flapping sound could be heard coming closer to the group from the direction of Heaven's Pass. At first glance it looked like a large black bird, but then on second inspection the bird soon becomes more recognizable as a humanoid of sorts. Four large blackish brown raven like wings extruded from the humanoid figure that approached at seemingly fast speeds. A dark aura sounded this being as it flew towards the kingdom. The features finally becoming more noticeable as the figure began to slow down the closer it got. A dark presence that crept just over the tree's as the pale skin winged woman shrouded in black robes slowly came to a steady hover just 50 yards away from Rivers. She hovered there for a moment, long enough to stretch out her arms and call out some incantations with open palms towards the ground controlling the flow of the mist with her hands.
**
Fear and confusion grip at the guards that stood post at the gates; Their hearts pounding within their chests as the undead began to remain in place, just standing within the mist as if waiting for something or someone to come. Some of the soldiers had even mentioned rumors of the King's disappearance at the castle. This stillness only lasted a few minutes before finally there were sign's of movement; the giant finally moving his arm to try and swat at Rivers. The hordes that were still present began to move along with the mist as some went to move along the wall towards the South gate, the rest still continuing the move forward finally showing some bit of fight towards the soldiers and those who volunteered.

As Kail was slicing through enemies left and right with his gunblade with not too much problems. But knew that sooner or later that he would be tired and perhaps even fall to the massive hoard. That was relentlessly coming and having no end in sight as it looked like a endless sea of living dead. But as he took down each shambling corpses, he was seeing some faces. Where but not sure where from as he wracked his brain. One far side he could hear a massive rush of water blasting several zombies away. As one was going to make a lunging bite. Kail smacked that zombie hard with his again shield causing it to be knocked back this time. The blond was doing his best to make sure that his strikes either decapitated the undead or cleaved them in half. He hears another person braving this battle to help. "Any help is appreciated miss, Just do what you can, and Kaylia, I made that thing my self. I'll tell you about it if we live" the blond called out. The sky above them was brewing above them. A small chuckle as it seemed to make the mood for this battle as it made things even more bleak for them. It was building even more tension in the air and even a knife could not cut it as it was so thick.
Then as the giant let out a bellowing roar, a demonic had cut through the area and nearly knocked Kail over out of surprise. But he stabbed his gunblade into the ground, and gripped it hard so that he would not fall over. While looking around the zombies were all still for a moment. Then they started to head south and were moving away from this gate. Something in Kail's mind told him something was wrong. "Nyx, do you see something in the air. Something is wrong here....the movement of the undead might be a distraction. If there heading to the south gate" he yelled over to her. He had played too many RPG's to know when something is up with all of this. Even though the undead were gathering to one area in Nova at the south gate. And it would be good to get them at a focal point with others. Something in his gut told him that something was wrong. It could have been nothing but at the same time it could have been something big.
