A Learning Experiance (Mysteria)

Kail came back the next day to see Mysteria as it was a rather emotional the day before. As he gave the woman a new arm and there would have been a lot of adjusting for her.  Plus it had been a odd form of bonding between himself and Mysteria. He did hope that in the future nothing bad does happen. Since things were going quite well but it seemed that things were almost like a waltz of three good things and then three bad things happen.  The blond had stayed at the Bloody Mary again and then went back to the castle the next day about 9:30 in the morning. He was dressed in the same outfit he had on the day before.  Some of the things that Mysteria had said to him were odd but was trying to put that in the back of his head. Since he was rather excited to learn some magic from someone that knew what they were doing. He did learn a few things but felt that he was doing things haphazerdly or not as refined then a seasoned magic user. The blond tried to keep calm since again there was a foreboding feeling of the place.  As the Kingdom of Nova was slowly and slowly pissing him off due to a lot events that had happend.

The blond knew that he was perhaps a big fool and was not in control of his emotions like a lot of the other people in this world. As he had his heart on his sleeve in a sense. A big target for manipulative pricks that just want to ruin his day as well as others. But at least he was a bit more honest then others.  None the less he showed the paper to the guards out at the gate and then a single escort would take him to see Mysteria. He was still equiped with the weapons he had from the previous day as well as the bone bracelets on both wrists.

The escort didn't speak while walking Kail further into the castle. The young lad passed the infirmary wards and any familiar places Kail would have seen so far; Their walking pace respectful and drawn out as though giving a silent tour through the labyrinth like grand halls. Finally what would seem like eternity the escort stopped at a door by itself at the back of the castle. The hall they entered was opened to the elements with huge stone window arches that over looked the Widow Maker Sea. The ocean's salty breeze whipping around the two in a gentle manner as the sound of gulls could be heard flying about. The young squire turning to Kail with a small smile. " Welcome back master Kail." The young lad nodded before stepping aside to allow the guest, Kail, entrance into the room while he opened and held the door to his chest.

When Kail would step inside the room, the boy had begun to close the door gently behind him. The room Kail would enter would be a large and bright one; The largest source of light coming from a huge glass arch window over looking the bay. On the right wall a single bed dressed in rich purple sheets made of dark evergreen was placed. At the foot of the bed a large rectangle chest rested. The only other piece of furniture within the room was a small round table in the corner of the left wall and a oddly placed chair in front of the window. A plan room that barely looked lived in, but yet not completely empty.

Up against the wall, Bella and Stella stood on each side of the door as Kail entered. Their violet eyes darting to up at Kail with raised brows as they saw the blonde enter. " Oh good morning, Master Kail. " Bella spoke out first in a soft sweet voice, altering Kail that he was not alone and also to break the silence with a greeting to the Mistress's new and first apprentice. meanwhile, Stella approached Kail with a sense of curiosity. Her brows knitting into almost a scowl as she suddenly began looking over the blonde as if trying to find something. " No treats? " Stella suddenly asked, stopping her visual search by looking up at the blond with a now more predominate menacing stare.

" Stella don't harass the lad. " A familiar voice called from the other end of the room towards the window; Just on the other side of the chair in front of the window Mysteria stood. Her features less pale than they were yesterday and now more properly dressed in a black corset dress. Her hair pulled back into a decretive braid that slung over her shoulder. " Greetings, Killian. What brings you here today? " Mysteria asked, placing both her natural and newly crafted hand front of her as she gave a small curtsy. .

"Thank you" Kail said simply to the squire as he had lead him to where Mysteria was at. The walk was pleasant as the blond got to feel the sea breeze coming from the ocean. It did feel nice to hear some sounds of the ocean as the gulls were cawing. He then walks into Mysteria's room and it was some rather swanky diggs. As he saw the furnature as well as the grand looking window. While coming in he hears the two dolls speak up it nighly spooked him as his thoughts had consumed him. "Morning....and sorry I don't have any treats. Maybe next time if I come here" he said replying to both of the dolls. Then hears Mysteria speak up and turns to her and Kail sees that color has returned to her face. She then curtsy's for him and in turn bows to Mysteria out of respect as well as manners of this era. "Well you look better today, then you did yesterday" he said and then rose to face her. Kail did get a better look and she was still rather pretty. Just from her attire and physical apperance now.

"Well I came by to learn some magic today, I know its so soon. But it might serve to see if you can cast with your new arm" the blond said as yesterday seemed not like a good time to ask that. Plus he wanted Mysteria to recover a bit more. Since the install of the arm was rather intense and the emotional exchanges that they had with each other did complicate things. Kail did hope that he was not being pushy with Mysteria though as that was the last thing he wanted. To make this woman angry with him. As the two twins would kick his ass and then Mysteria could make his life a living hell.

It was clear to the dolls that the young blonde had not expected to see them, that or Stella spooked him by surprise. The child like doll staring up at Killian with the most un-amused look after his confession about not having treats. The girl said nothing for before she could harass the boy any further; Stella was cut short by her mistress's command to "behave". So with a huff and a beady glare at Killian, Stella took a few steps back and soon returned to her sister's side. All while Bella stood with her back against the wall, silent and mostly smiling with her eyes closed.

Meanwhile Mysteria continued to stand in place in front of the window. A small smile forming at Killian's bowed and compliment about looking much better. " I suppose. " Mysteria chuckled, looking over to her metal arm before looking back over to Killian. " Though I have you to thank for helping with part of my recovery." She nodded, watching Killian closely as he came further into the bed-chamber. Her eyebrow crooked when he spoke up once more, this time asking to be taught some magic. A request Mysteria hadn't truly expected, though he was her apprentice after all and would need to learn what he could to survive in this world. A simple and fair enough request, plus she would be able to see how her new arm would handle casting spells. So after a moment of thinking, Mysteria nodded and finally spoke.

" Very well, I will teach you what I know. " Mysteria smiled, meanwhile both Bella and Stella looked on from the edge of the room with wide eyes at their Mistress. " What would you like to know first? "

"I only had a small part of this, to be in better health was all you" said Kail as he did play a major part in this. But knew that 9/10's of any recovery prosess was all a mental game and with him giving her the arm it was the bigger game changer. He then felt a bit more imbareist as the blond did not realize was being impatient and well being a bit imature. "I do appologize if am being impatient like a little child on this. Perhaps I should try and curb my exuberance a bit. But perhaps on how magic works, I know how to cast spells from books and other tomes.....but to make a new or just create a new spell. Thats whats been intresting me, plus to avoid something that could kill me if I do something something wrong he said and then thought for a bit on what spells he could learn from Mysteria herself. The blond then looked over at Mysteria before speaking again.

"I don't know what spells you know, but I know a few intresting ones I found in my workshop. So we could trade some spells....Forgive me, I am nervious and excited at the same time. Since I am trying not to be a total fool here" he said and then rubs the back of his head as Kail was trying to kick the nerviousness he had. Mysteria was someone he really did have respect for her and did not want to dissapoint her at all.

While Kail was speaking Mysteria had already made it half way across the room in a almost silent, graceful stride. The woman moved more like a phantom within the room as she passed Kail and stopped at the wall on the other side of the large bed. Her head turned to glance back over her shoulder at Kallian as he started to apologize and explain his sudden interest in wanting to learn. It was amusing to see how human's thought and would apologize over the most silliest of things. A small smirk slowly forming on her lips as she watched him try to conceal his hunger for knowledge. So amusing it was to her to think He was concerned for a stranger's well being however the eagerness of ambition made him anxious. Perhaps there was still hope for human's after all.

Mysteria thought to herself the smirk still present as she placed her hand on the blank space of the embroidered mural wall. Her eyes locked on Kail as she gave a small chuckle. " Do not mistake Impatience for Ambition, Sir Lancaster. You keep forgetting you are not in your home world, this is Teair and you are in the Capital kingdom of Nova. Which means you need to start practicing your "impatience" lad." Mysteria spoke softly, the wall suddenly pushing back and a outline of a door suddenly becomes visible. Mysteria turned her head back around and spoke very softly to the now visible door. Her words barely audible as she spoke the key phrases to open the secret door.

The outline becoming more predominate as the wall suddenly opens up to reveal a spiral stare case going down. Mysteria shrugging her shoulders lightly as she glanced back over her shoulder at Killian. " I am predominantly a Dark magic user... Which means I know spells such as raising the dead, brief mind control, and Soul Dolls. However, my magic is strictly used for those who truly desire to cheat death...." Mysteria nodded turning her head back around and stepping forward through the secret door. Then both the twin girls moved passed Kail, Bella turning to motion him to follow as Mysteria had already disappeared down the spiral stairs. The passage way down was dark and quiet. No one made a sound as Mysteria lead them down nearly 40 steps until finally reaching a flat stone floor. Mysteria even stood at the bottom of the steps, a small orb of light floating beside her head as she looked at the twins and Killian. " Follow me and stay close. You are basically under the castle and getting lost down here would be rather unsafe for you. " Mysteria spoke softly yet seriously as she began to lead them down a narrow passage way, the air smelt stale and the temperature cold enough to make steam with every exhale.

Finally after traveling in the dark for a few minutes Mysteria lead them to a door; locked and made of solid oak. She smiled as Bella suddenly stepped forward and handed her Mistress a small silver key. " Thank you Bella." Mysteria praised the girl while putting the key into the lock; turning the handle and opening the door to a brighter lit room. Mysteria motioned everyone to enter before her so that she could close the door behind the three and lock it. Once inside the room, the walls were more oval in shape and towered up to an enormous dome that fed natural sun light within the entire space. Two sets of stairs lead up to different platforms which hugged against the stone walls. Placed in the center of the room was a circular ring, decorated in multiple color glass pieces designed to look like a time dial. Each part of the circle holding a piece of Nova's history in elegant tile shards.

" Welcome to my Lab. This is the only place in the palace that is safe to practice magic in. " Mysteria nodded, moving towards the center of the room to stand in the middle of the floor tile mural. " So Killian, are you still wanting to learn magic from me?" Mysteria asked showing that her current injury was not going to hold her back from teaching a few spells.

"I think that I am also trying to be as mature as I can. Since I am sure you have delt with a lot of children over the years he said knowing that she was older then him by a few 100 years or more. The blond was trying to be respectful in this case. Since he knew how women did not like to talk about there age at all. "Well....I don't want to reckless that's all. I don't want to foul up and end up with my head on a pike" he said and then watched Mysteria gracefully walk across the floor and to a hidden switch. It made the blond raise an eye brow but that was cut short when she spoke up. He heard about the Dark Arts and cheating death, if he was going to survive here though. Kail would need to learn all that he could. "This power can either bring salvation or destruction at the whim of the user. If I were squeemish I would have left right now. This world is all about who has the power to survive, if you have no power you will not last within the world of Nova" he said and then walked forward and followed Mysteria. He nods his head and follows her closely and did not deter from the path that they were walking.

Kail watched as one of the twins, Bella if he remembered correctly gave something to Myssteria. He assumed that it was a key to the door and then it unlocked and they all walked in. He was very much in awe of the magical lab, the blond saw several glass pieces and had no idea what they meant with the pictures or inscriptions. Mysteria then asked Kail if he was still wanted to learn magic from her. "Yes I would, going this far to help someone like me. It would be a insult to you if I did not take this offer and oppertunity. So I am going to give it my all and not dissapoint you. In return for teaching me what you know. I have learned a few spells that might tickle your fancy" he said and walked forward to Mysteria. The look in Kail's eyes were very serious and he was ready to go. The blond knew that what he was going to learn was not going to be easy but if he did not try at all. He would not be able to get stronger nor be able to elevate himself in the situation he was in.

Mysteria laughed at his comment about her dealing with children over the years. Her brow raised in amusement as she placed her right hand on her hip and closed her eyes. " Children are something I can handle, they're more honest than adults. " Mysteria chuckled pausing to open her eyes and take note of Bella and Stella entering the room behind Kail and locking the door before continuing her conversation with her new apprentice. "Though when dealing with magic, maturity is just a step to achieving it's knowledge. " Mysteria nodded returning her gaze back to kail who was approaching the center of the circle. Once he was inside the 'ring' where they both now stood, Mysteria's seem to become more serious and the light within the room began to dim.

Her eyes suddenly changing to where her pupils formed into lizard like slits and the outer ring of her iris began to glow a soft violet hue. Her posture straightening while she lifted both of arms to activate the first outer ring of the floor's mural circle, the gold band glowing as the floor mural tiles began to move under Kail's feet. The picture coming to life right beneath the two where they stood.

" Magic is Chaos; The very founding of recklessness. When something is created it is given a WILL that gives a creature, plant or being the ability to channel and access this gift known to us as Magic. Like a conversation we had before; Magic exists in ALL worlds if you believe it or not. Though most worlds can not access this gift due to different means or reasons. " Mysteria paused staring down at the moving tiles of the people, beasts, and time that had long passed in her life span. Her index finger pointing over to a certain spot of the circle where it showed the mountains being destroyed.

" Here it is possible only because of the arrogance of a small Kray child who decided to steal from a Deity; The Goddess of Chaos, Caster. As punishment the Deity took the Kray child away and destroyed the entire village. Opening this world up to the possibility of magic in the hands of mortals; creating it into a physical form known as 'Caster Sorrow' the red shards you might have seen coming out of that pit in the Gallows…." Mysteria sighed explaining the world's origins before starting the REAL lessons.

" 'Caster Sorrow' is not something most people can handle or touch; it's raw manna, power that flows from the life blood of this planet and people. Some can't handle it; though because you are Fated and brought into this world. Your WILL is different form someone that is from this world.. Which is why you can learn and perform magic here where in your last world, you could not…" Mysteria stopped, looking over at Kail to make sure he was following or at least some what understanding what she was saying. Not wanting to confuse the boy or go too fast for him to understand.

Kail chuckled a bit when Mysteria said that about children were much easier to deal with. As he heard the two dolls lock the door he looked behind him and then back to Mysteria on that there had to be some maturity with magic. Then he watched closely as her eyes shifted into a reptile looking eyes. That gaze felt like the black skull drake he slayed but diffrent and then saw the glyphs and the outer ring glow gold and was in awe. A bit like a child but when Mysteria spoke he was paying direct attention to her. As she spoke about her version of magic on how wild it was, as it was chaos incarnate. Which in his mind made sense as it could either bring salvation or destruction to the user. Then she went on to the fact that magic exsisted in all worlds and that made him wonder why it could not be accessed back on his own world? There could have been any number of things but pushed that major quandery. Then he watched as his mistress pointed to a mountain glyph and watched it and listend to another thing and it made him rise a major eyebrow. Was this child, Mysteria herself? It had to be, that made the blond know that this shit would be dangerious to mess up with.

Then with Caster's Sorrow though it made him think about the gallows and remembering the red crystals. He did remember some rumors that. If it were not for Mylee's Champion that intire district would have went boom. There was a sickening feeling in his mind as there actions could have killed both Novian's and any other Fated in the area. This also made Kail give a bit more caution with the gods and goddesses of this world. Especially Caster, since he did not know what that chaotic goddess would to him. What made him have more intrest was that it seemed that only a select kind of people were able to use magic? Since his spirit and will were not from this world he was able to use magic more so then other people? There was so many things that were in his mind right now that it was overweilming as he did not know what questions to ask. "Magic is chaos as the nature of the word is not evil its self. Even though the word Chaos is normally used in the same vein of evil. And that my will is diffrent then those of Nova. Where I can learn and use magic easier then others? If I am misunderstanding you Mistress. Then instruct me so I can get better. I understand the Caster's Sorrow, lets just say.....er.....a story from my world had something simular to that" Kail said as he was not sure if he could explain what he got the understanding from.

Mysteria walked along the rim of the mural circle. Her eyes not leaving Kail as she studied every bit of his movements and facial expressions. Of course she had been around human's all of her life, but none by far from another world. Fate had opened up a door to new possibilities for sure when it came to learning new races, cultures and the most forbidden form of knowledge of all, the knowledge of 'technology'. So Mysteria didn't mind spending time with Kail or any of the other Fated. It was something out of the norm and different from every day life within the Castle. So she was interested to see what Kail's reactions would be with the knowledge she had given him thus far. What his features would portray and the emotions expressed behind each slight gesture. After all; Mysteria knew little of Kail's struggles within the world during the time of being transported. So expecting him to understand everything in one day was something she knew would be impossible.

The glow from the floor began to fade and the mural began to set back in place as if not even coming to life at all. The entire area of the room lit by multiple torches lining the oval shape of the rooms wall. A small smirk appearing as Kail began to ask questions. Such eagerness in this boys heart. It reminded her of someone she once knew long ago; however the memory fuzzy when she trying to recall a name to the face. However, she shook her head of the thought and nodded towards Kail. " Magic is the life of the world; Chaos yes, but isn't life and death chaotic? Magic is whats left, neither good or evil. Must you mortals label everything that you can't understand? Good or Evil, is one in the same both the same coin but with a different face. Your will is different because the fate stone opened your potential and to help you survive in this world. All Fated learn magic easier than others born of this world naturally..." Mysteria spoke, taking a step out of the circle and to one of the desks in the open round room.

" The spells I know either revolve around bringing back the dead, controlling one's will for a short while and of course puppet creation. It's up to you to decide how much your training is worth to you and how much you worth to achieve a greater understanding of how to harness your powers and abilities. " Mysteria nodded, pointing her index finger upwards to have both bella and stella jump down from the second floor to join her. Both twin girls landing on the main floor with both feet and little struggle. With a skip in their step both twin girls approached their mistress and stood ready for what ever command their mistress would give.

Kail felt some kind of movement and saw that in his deep thoughts or feelings when he was speaking Mysteria was walking about.  But even then the glowing murals did catch his attention again. He shook his head and heard Mysteria speak and it went a bit more into the aspects of mana and himself. The concept seemed to be akin to some eastern uses of magic and the force from that movie series had seen several times on TV.  Then Mysteria then went into again what she was going to teach him, necromancy, some mind control, and puppet manipulation. "I better get what you have said on magic and mana. I think that us mortals do label things. It is due to there sense of morality and some that don't want to cross it. Beacuse if they do they might get too drunk on it and think that they are not the same person. And that it is solely ingrained into us that it is almost second nature. I guess its that kind of thought still in my head, but for me I am slowly undoing this so I can survive here in this world. For myself I have been of target of those that wanted to harm to me. And make me afraid.....but now I am a target of hate that needs to be killed" he said now getting some thoughts off of his chest and perhaps speaking his own thoughts.

"Now, I know how many groups of people back in my world were persacuted. More so to the jewish people in World War 2......Sorry Mistress, I somehow got lost in my own thoughts. I still want to learn from you, raising the dead is a far more intresting thing not to pass up. Mind Control is another thing that seems good some mischief, but the puppet creation that term is confusing me are they something like golems" he said and watched as both of Mysteria's maids dropped from the second floor. This made him do a double take, as either they were very well trained assassins or they were not human. Kail did not know if he was ready but this was going to be a wild ride and he was going to take it.
