Winter had finally arrived. The landscape dulled and hibernating from the cold months ahead. The wind carrying bitter cold air from the North to chill the ground and ones own breath. Even the sky hung heavy with gray plump clouds; swollen with tiny snow flurries just itching to shower down upon the world. A welcoming sight from the hellish horrors that had passed in the fallowing months. Even after just several days of the attack Helena brought down upon the kingdom; Nova was still in the process of repairing itself from the damage of the outer wall. Though thankfully the corpses had dissolved over the past couple of days after the mist had completely cleared. Plus there was no sightings of undead prowling around the kingdom; So local businesses and the outer Gates could be opened back up for trade. A relief sense there were very few casualties within this surprise siege. Which left Nova in a sense of paranoid terror for a few days until the Court finally came up with a solution to lull the civilian's in a sense of some security for the time being. Which allowed things to return back to normal under hushed whispers.
It was these whispers that caught Mysteria's attention. Whispers of the people's spirits being low and faith in the king and the royals were being questioned. Many were beginning to believe that this was a omen; A sign to the end of days. Disturbing whispers that made the Adviser cringe and slowly become over burdened with a sense of dread. It had been far too long sense the people had enjoyed themselves. The Festival of the Gods was far from over and the attack had plummeted the city in a sense of despair. So once the court had settled and Noku was back on his feet, Mysteria left the castle to begin prepping for something that was much needed.
" You there, how much shipment was brought in?" Mysteria shouted across the docks as she approached a cargo ship full of meats, spices, drinks and some other goods that had just arrived across the Widowmaker Sea. The captain had looked puzzled at the sight of the Kray woman, knowing her face all too well from his many voyages and having to deal with the Noru family. His entire cargo supply intended to be brought to the castle to be served to the king and his royal family. However, with a toss of a coin purse Mysteria bought out the supplies and demanded for the everything that was bought to be brought back, but doubled with the amount of coin she handed him. The captain shocked, agreed with little question and helped the adviser load the entire shipment on the back of horse drawn carts. Once on the carts, the supplies were sent off to the location she had given the drivers on the map given to them.
Hours would pass before Mysteria would be finished gathering all the supplies she would need for what she had in mind. A challenge at first, but one that wouldn't be solved with more coin than most novian's would see in their life time. Coin that she had and was very generously spending on things that all were being taken down below the city. All in which was being set up in a large cavern under the city within the vast open network of tunnels and openings within the underway. A perfect place to hold a a much needed celebration, one away from most royal eyes that knew her by name.
" Bella, Stella. Keep guard of the entire party. I give you permission to use extreme force on anything hostile that comes within 100ft of the area. Do I make myself clear?" Mysteria smiled, instructing the two 'child' like girls to keep watch while everything was going on. The last thing she needed was something to go wrong during this time of celebration and for once a time for her to relax with out worry or care. So, with bright smiles both girls nodded to show they understood before disappearing into the crowd of workers.
The entire cavern lit up with torches and large fire pits to brighten up the entire space. The large bond fires creating heat and casting beautiful shadows on the walls where the dancers began to perform around the open flames. There were all sorts of musicians performing where ever they felt like setting up, basking the whole atmosphere in a lively upbeat tone for the dancers and people to dance to. While Tents and large plush pillows were being set up and scattered along the wall and outer parts of the cavern away from the bond fires to create a more private setting away from the dancing and crowds... The entire place transformed to a small paradise of different types of booze and freshly cooked meats, assorted exotic fruits and breads spread out on large colorful blankets. Everything was looking marvelous as Mysteria walked along and picked up the first bottle on the set out banquet. A sheepish grin forming on her fair features that seemed to dance with the flicker of light of the fire. The bottle well over the price of any liqure sold within the districts, the bottle displaying the noru crest on the label; The Noru family's signature alcoholic beverage. A pure treat to be able to indulge in as she popped the cork off with her thumb. The cork flying off with a loud 'pop' an Mysteria quickly pressed the head to her lips, taking the first sip of the sweet yet stout nectar. " Nothing compares." Mysteria cooed, placing herself down on a large red pillow off to the side of the first fire dancing ring. A faint smile displayed on her lips as she relaxed in a casual state; Her hair down and her attire a casual dress and pants far less to what a noble would dare ware. While her hand held onto the very expensive bottle neck in a loose grip, taking her time to take sips to savor the rich flavor.
Meanwhile; whispering of a woman going around and paying entertainers, musicians, and escorts to follow her down into the underground caverns didn't go un noticed. The word of the celebration slowly spreading through out the third district to those who dared to listen...
