Well he had left his comfy little home by the large tree of life under the prospect of seeing the world. The nice man had promised friends, a home, and a childhood. So far all he saw were four walls, nothing, just rock and wood. If he wanted to live like a rabbit he could have just stolen a burrow. He got the occasional meal; and heard plenty of people walk by. He was hoping one would come to visit, but even the strange man stopped visiting after a while. He was beginning to get really hungry, and he was beyond bored. After a while he decided to start exploring said room. There was something called a desk, and a bed made out of some hard rectangle stuff. He had already tried seeing if it was edible, it was fun to chew on but really not that tasty. Unfortunately when he did chew it the leg melted off; he was never able to bite anything without it turning into a steaming gelatinous goo. There was something called a pillow; which smelt like a bird, but there were just feathers in that. He had been disappointed when he had torn it open and only a puff of down came out. The feathers had proved to be amusing for a while, they were now strewn across the room like a fluffy white blanket of snow. The mattress as Rivers had called it also wasn’t in the best of shapes; a good chunk of the corner had been torn up and the stuffing ripped out. The leg of the bed had also been melted off, so it now sat on the floor lopsided like.
In short, he had destroyed everything in his room; and he was getting real hungry. There was no food in here. He started scratching at the door; maybe the man would hear and let him out. If not…well he would have to make quick work of the door. A few hours later there was a nice boy sized hole in the door in which he wiggled out of. He sniffed the air looking around cautiously.
He slowly walked out; wandering the halls until he found a room which a familiar scent. This was that man’s scent…he backed up a bit and worked up a big gob of spit. He hacked the loogie at the door handle, melting it right off the door. He then rammed into the door causing it to break open; the room smelt like the man who had taken him here, but he wasn’t there. He wandered in rustling about here and there trying to see if there was anything to eat in this room. Once again the fluffy thing that smelled like a bird seemed like a profitable prospect, unfortunately it just held feathers like the last one. Why were there just feathers in there anyways and not the whole bird? By the time he was done exploring the room the desk had been tipped over, two of the four legs were missing and melted. Trunks rummaged through and strewn everywhere, and the bed destroyed; not to mention the door which now had a large hole in it from his acidic spit.
Seeing as there was nothing in that room either; he made his way out of the building that the man had called Haven. He wandered into a big cavern; looking around thinking it must have been one giant assed rabbit who dug out this burrow. He hadn’t wandered far when he found an interesting looking building; it smelt like metal and fire; but where there was fire there was sometime food right? He walked over to the doors; they wouldn’t open….so once again he worked up a large gob of spit; and well licked the door, creating a large boy shaped hole big enough for him to walk through. He was right about the building being interesting; there were a lot of shiny stuff in here. Maybe there would be something to eat to! He picked up a shiny odd thing; it was clear and he could see through it. It made a funny clinking noise when he tapped it. So he hit it a little harder. Tiny shards when flying everywhere; causing a small giggle to escape his lips. He grabbed another one and tossed it; once more making the shiny thing go boom. Some of these things had liquid in them to! He picked up one and sniffed it….the smell burned his nose. So he tossed it over his shoulder. He did this several more times before giving up on the bottles of stuff and moved on to a fluffy like thing that reminded him of his mattress and pillow. Perhaps this was where the kept all the birds in? So he went to work tearing up the cloth with his little claws.

For Kail it had been too long since he had been away from Gallows Bane. Since the events in Nova happened and he was just happy to be back at his dwelling. Although perhaps for him, it was time for him to get a better living space. Since he now had more money then he did a few weeks ago. The trek took a bit longer then normal since it was winter outside but the blond wanted to return. As he was thinking some nice thoughts he got to the door of his place and saw something very very odd at the door. A hole in the shape of a child at first the blond was trying to figure out what could have caused this. Then heard some crashing and busting of things. His place was being robbed and then remembered something about earlier where he busted a group of pint sized robbers. Was this one of these guys getting revenge! Kail dropped his things outside and dropped his overcoat and a few other things. Kail then pulls out one of his survival knives and then unlocks his door. He silently moves around and uses the Shadow Gem on his bracelet and moved deeper into his home. There was a silent rage building as his place was in shambles and there in the middle of things was a small child.
One thing that came to Kail's mind was that, the kid was not human in the slightist. A wild child for that matter that was tearing up his ownly sleeping place. "Hey kid what in the world are you doing to my couch. You better give me an answer now. Or your butt is going to get tanned red by my hand" he said moving out from a shadowed corner. His knife was placed back into its sheath. If the child did deside to attack or try and run, he did have his whip ready. But he did not have the heart to do it, but he just wanted to come home and sleep for a few hours. But now that was going to be a very faint dream. He was going to have to get back to work getting the place fixed up. As well as look at the total cost of damages. The thing that Kail was hoping for, was that his fated items were not broken or damaged beyond salvaging. Those items would be hard as zepon's balls to find. Due to the fact that he was the only person from his era of earth so far.

His head shot up when someone spoke, his eyes grew wide and he jumped up and hid behind the couch. Slowly peering over the armrest at a very angry blonde man….This wasn’t the man who brought him here. Nor did he sound as friendly…he wasn’t the white haired man either that he had met at the tree. This WAS a new person. His red eyes flicked to the knife that the man was holding and then back up to his face. He watched as the knife was put back out of sight. As the weapon was put away he slowly poked his head up more so his chin was resting just above the arm rest.
”What’s a couch?” He looked around the room, was that shiny thing that shattered a couch? Or was the big lumpy pillow a couch? But it was filled with feathers like his ‘pillow’ was, wouldn’t it also be a pillow? But he was at the big pillow now; maybe this was the couch. He seemed really mad though, it was a bit scary. His eyes started to water as he looked down at the feathery mess. “I’m so hungry, the man with the brown coat hasn’t brought food for days. I was looking for the birds….there’s so much feathers around here, I figured there’s got to be the whole bird around here. I’m thirsty to….do you know where the birds are?” Cody pouted as he wiped his eyes with the back of his arm. It had been several days since he had last gotten to eat, and he was so bored. He missed his tree, he always got food there. Plus there was a place to bury poo there…here the floor was rock hard and everything just ran everywhere. Water was easy to find at his tree, while here there was nothing.
Rivers had only told him what was in his room; he hadn’t learned the other words for the strange objects found at bane, nor had he ever seen any of these before. He had only ever been at his tree; he was beginning to miss it. It had been a mistake to leave with the brown haired man.

Kail was more surprised that the child could have seen him while the shadow gem was active. But then heard the kid speak and had no idea what he had done to the couch or what it was. It was hard for him to get angry at the boy as he was looking for food. But the thing that set him off was a man in a brown coat. He knew only of one person that wore that attire and it truely made his blood boil to the point that he wanted to find Rivers and beat the living shit out of him. Kail took a deep breath as he was going to swallow his fury and rage. Someone had to be the adult in this situation "I'll explain things in a bit, lets take care of that hunger you have. And sit in that chair right now, your in a very dangerious place. There are a lot of sharp and pointy objects that could kill you in here. Or explode and I don't want you to be hurt or dead" said Kail pointing to the only chair that was not damaged in the child's ransacking for food. He then rushed out to his packs that were outside and brought them in and looked through and found some beef jerky. He did have some clean water he had stored away and filled up a cup for Cody and himself.
"Here, its what I got for now....and I am sorry if this is tough for you. But I have not had a chance to restock my supplies in my dwelling here" Kail said and placed the cups on the table that was still intact. He handed Cody several strips of the jerky. Seeing that this boy was more of a wild child then anything, he was going to have to show how somethings were eaten. Kail was going to have a few words with Serenity if he finds her. Right now he had to get this kid fixed up a bit. "That cup right there has some water and have you used one before kid" he asked while pointing to one of the cups. He was trying to keep his paitence with this kid. As again he did not know any better and someone was going to have to teach this child a lot of things. Kail was also sighing that he did not want to be a parent right now. But this kid was going to get killed and the blond did not want that weighing on his soul.

Well it didn’t seem like the man was to mad at him; though he did tell him to go sit. He sighed, he was sick of sitting. But it sounded like the man was going to get him food, sooo, he supposed he could listen. He fallowed where the man told him to go sit and took a seat. He watched as the man dug into some bags, pulling out what smelt like good. He eagerly took the pieces of jerky; tearing in without a second thought. He was starving; “This is good! I don’t know how long it’s been since the other man brought food.” In no time at all the strips of meat were polished off. He immediately grabbed the cup when it was offered to him “Yes the man in the coat showed me this cup thing” He immediately gulped down the water, fast enough that a little bit dribbled from his lips.
“Whats your na HIC me HIC” He had scarfed down the food and drink so fast he had given himself hiccups. He also was still pretty hungry; but the food that was given did help. He was now curious to who this new person was, and where he was. He looked around the room all while hiccupping; he did cause quite a mess. “HIC What is HIC this place?”

Kail sits down and was trying not to show his anger as he really wanted to hurt Rivers. And just really make him hurt as he left this kid alone or even tell anyone about this child. He sees Cody devour the beef jerky and drank the water and had some hick ups and sighed a bit. "Don't eat that fast or your going to have hick ups like you are having now. Let me refill your cup" he said and then taps into the water gem he had on. Kail reaches his hand over and forms a small water ball and slowly pours down into the cup and fills it up again. "I'm Killian Lancaster but you can Kail, and this place is my workshop. Where I make and sell tools and weapons, of normal things as well as magical. This is why I was concenred for you well being as these things can be dangerious. If you knocked over something in your search it could have hit you and either broke one of your bones or killed you by chopping something off. Anyway I'm going to take you to someplace where we can get something to eat. As I said I have not been home in a week give or take" said the blond as he was going to take Cody to the near by tavern and get them selves a meal. Even then he could have ran into someone from River's place. Kail personally would have liked to burn the place down. But Serenity and Henry were living there as well as Cody and they would be out of a home.
He would have to clean up his place later but for now, Kail would get this kid fed. And knew this one would need to eat a lot since Cody did not look human at all. Kail hoped that this kid was not like Goku and would be eating him out of all of his money on food. But the blond was not a heartless person or irresponsable to the degree that Rivers was showing. None the less Kail gets up from his chair "Just stick with me for a bit ok? Maybe I'll be able to help you a bit more later" he said and was trying to make sense of everything since this was all very much unexpected for him.

“HIC How Hic Do I Hic Stop” It was all well and good that this man told him WHY he had the hic ups but that didn’t help him now. As soon as his cup refilled he was chugging that down, he was still after all quite thirsty. However with the little bit of food and water he was starting to feel a lot better. His stomach no longer hurt with the pangs of hunger, though he could still certainly use more. With the new chugging of water his hiccupping had begun to taper off. The man introduced himself as Kail.
“My names Cody, I’m sorry for breaking your stuff….I didn’t have anything like this where I grew up. Before the man in the coat took me here I lived in the forest by a great tree. All this stuff is new to me.” He could understand how small seemingly unharmful stuff could be deadly, a lot of things were like that in the forest. But while he was at the tree he had always been protected from that. At the mention of going to go find more to eat his features perked up considerably. “Food sounds good, thank you Mr. Kail”
He was up for going for food, but he could not help but wonder why the man hadn’t been home. Cody hadn’t ever left his until now. Was that a thing to leave ones home? Or was there something here that Mr. Kail didn’t like. Kinda like how he got lonely in his old home and now this new one…”Why did you leave your home?” He did leave it…but he did come back. Did that mean he could go back to his tree? ….Then again he left his tree. They would be very mad that he left his tree….he couldn’t go back now that he left.
Cody nodded vigorously when Mr. Kail said to stay with him. Perhaps this man would stay with him instead of keeping him in a room. That and he promised food, going with him seemed like a good idea. He placed his cup down eager to go other places and see new things.

"Its fine kiddo, you were trying to find food. I can't get fully upset as you had a good reason but now you know at least things around here though. I would imagen that a lot of things here would be different for you since you did come here. When I came to this world myself I was just like you. But I became curious and wanted to know what was around me" said Kail as the duo left his place and on to the drunken kray. As they walked to the tavern though, Cody asked him a question. It was why he left his house "I had to leave my house for awhile and give something to a close friend of mine. Plus save several thousand lives from a mad goddess. I had to come back as that place we were in was my home. Its the only one I have in this world" he said and as they continued to walk they would come apon the Drunken Kray. As they walked in they would find a nice table to sit at. He ordered some milk for Cody since that would have been a typical thing for a child to drink in this place and era. Since soda's did not exsist in this world yet for a long time.
"Now Cody, there are a bunch of different drinks that are in this place. Most of these you should not consume right now as a child. Once you get older you can, but these will cause a lot of bad stuff to you. This is just for your safety but the ones that I am going to be ordering for you will be safe to drink. I think they have a hearty stew on there menu tonight. I'll teach you how to eat it as well" the blond said as he hoped that he did not overwhielm the young boy with too much info. Since he was still learning things about the world around him. Kail hoped that he was cut out for a fatherly or big brother role for Cody.

Cody tilted his head to the side; was he like this man? It was true he had been curious, but so far to him it seemed he was better off back at the tree. After all he could tear up what he wanted and he knew all the dangerous stuff there. Cody was quiet for the walk until Kail mentioned something about saving thousands of lives and going up against a goddess. His eyes widened as he looked up at the man in disbelief…he was just a human though? How could he go up one of the goddesses?
”Really?? All by yourself??? How did you do it!”
WHY did he do it; the goddess’s weren’t people to cross; if they did something it usually was because someone deserved it. They got to a place where there were a lot more people; and good smells. It sent his mouth a’waterin. He was still pretty hungry. Mr Kail gave him a small lecture on not drinking a lot of the drinks there; he didn’t know why some of them would be bad when other people did. He only nodded in response. He was still more interested in how the man went up against a mad goddess.
