Lilith nodded her understanding to Aria. That’s fine. We’ll make do with the water bubble!. Lilith turned her head back away, watching as Tres carefully made her way out of the danger zone. Lilith moved the vines, no longer needing to protect that area. The ones around Nyx and Kail were still up and strong, ready to protect against anything that shot their way. Arthurs voice caused her to look away for just a moment, realizing he was speaking to her. His apology make her smile. Fret not. Your help is more than appreciated. She looked back to her task, careful not to let them down for a second.

Quicker than anticipated, the beast visibly began losing it’s breath. Their plan was going to work! As it began stumbling around, after Kail shot the poor thing, Lilith threw the rest of her vines out to catch the heavy creature, making its fall a little less painful, but just as loud. She couldn’t stop the sliding, but the figured she’d try.

Now that the beast was down, Lilith jogged to Kails side, sensing his pain from where she’d been standing. Hold still for a moment. Quickly she placed her hands on his shoulder blades while standing behind him, and began to move her healing magic over him. She was took shaken to pin point where exactly the pain was emanating from, so she sent it everywhere, but was soon interrupted as Arthur spoke.

A noise? No… I don’t think so… She kept her hands on Kail’s shoulders, but her elven ears twitched slightly. It was like… tiny feet? Purple eyes widened to the size of small plates, and she released Kails arms. I don’t know what that is, but it’s coming here, fast. We need to move. Now! Lilith grabbed her things that she’d dropped, and would follow the first person to run in any direction.

Aria gave Kail a nod of approval when his ice blast had helped Tres not get chopped in half. It seemed there plan was working; however as soon as the beast hit the ground another noise caused Arias ears to twitch. Aria’s ears twitched around locating the directions that the noise was approaching; her face paling as she did so. Aria in a quick motion un-notched her arrow and placed it back in the quiver; slinging her bow over her shoulder she reached to her sword and unsheathed it. She ran over to the beast which was rendered unconscious and thrust her blade through the base of its neck; they weren’t going to be able to bring it with them and she wasn’t cruel enough to allow the thing to be eaten whilst still alive and defenseless.

”Crap crap crap crap”

Aria quickly darted over to Kail sheathing her sword while doing so; she noticed Lilith and the dwarf had still been healing him. That and he looked like he was having trouble moving.

”Ok we’re both not going to like this but frankly I wouldn’t leave even you to get eaten by those things. UP WE GO!”

There was a slight panic in Aria’s eyes; she was terrified of Novites. Aria grabbed Kails good arm and scooped her other arm around his legs while she hoisted his weight across her shoulders. Even if Kail could move Aria wasn’t going to take the chance of them being delayed. With that Aria did what Lilith suggested and booked it. Hopefully the traps she laid behind them along with the carnivorous plants would take out some of the nasty little creatures. That and the dead cow might delay them a while.

”TIME TO RUN LIKE BITCHES LETS GOOOOoo!”

Whether they fallowed or not Aria was running.

Nyx sighed happily upon seeing the beast fall to it's doom, dropping the water letting it splash on the ground creating a small pool under the beast. Dropping her hands and falling to her knees, her breathing more turned into soft panting. The magic was this world she still haven't gotten use to and controlling the water bubble for even an extended ammount of time took more out of her than she thought.



Her eyes turned to look at her companions happy that everyone was safe for time being. Using her staff she pushed herself up, her body having lost half of it's magical enegry in that one fight, it was her count and she knew that minus a tranformation she was going to be useless in the next fight. She watched as Aria ran towards the beast and put it to rest forever.



Reaching into her bag she grabbed the water skin drinking it empty before throwing it to the ground as the sounds of millions of tiny feet came running towards them. Looking once at everyone, in a quick motion moved her staff in between her bag and bag quickly reattching the straps. The warning of Aria to run was more than enough to get her taking off into what ever direction Aria was heading relying now on her pyshical fitness.



"Are we even going in the first direction?" She shout to anyone who was paying attention to where there were heading but mostly to Aruther since he was to be their guide on this mission.

    As Tres moved aside she saw the movements of the beast slow almost to a halt. She felt the ground underneath her quake from the weight of the beast, and watched it as it fell at her feet. Tres placed her boot on the side of the beast's face, and pushed it to the side so she could see it's face.

    Tres watched as Aria approached the beast and punctured it's jugular. Tres felt herself almost smile, exposing her dark past with Helena with her love of the battle. She then subtly exhaled the pleasure she felt from the death of the beast, and turned her breathing into thankfulness. She was thankful she wasn't injured. She could have easily been punctured by the beast's horns, or worse, cut in half by his axe. 

    In all this time, Tres had not let her guard down. She lifted her boot from the beast, almost kicking it's head as she went to approach Arthur. But before she could give him a good talking to about showing courtesy and appreciation for someone who saved their ass in battle, she felt a vibration in her ears. After Arthur mentioned it, she quickly flashed a look at Aria, hoping that she would come up with something.

    That she did. Apparently "Run bitches run" was the suitable plan. Tres followed closely behind Aria in a quick sprint, jumping over the beast as they ran, wondering where the hell they were going. "Hey Arthur, you were the one who lived here, where the hell are we going?" Tres called almost replying to Nyx's remark in the form of a question.

As Aria dispatched the minotaur with massive cut to its neck the sounds of the many feet could be hard. Then the chattering of something as large spiders started to drop in. There mouths smileling in primal pleasure saw that there food was there. They started to swarm over the recent warm body that was dead. With that though, the sound of the nawing and mashing of teeth and chewing could be heard. The Novites started to devour the beast man, although some were not able to get to the body with the intial swarm and saw the party. With a small chatter a number of these spiders would give chase to them seeing them as another source for there endless hunger. It had been a long time since they had something to chase and hunt. There souless red eyes now gleaming with glee as there was worthy prey to devour. Although some would get caught up in the plants but the rest were feasting on the corpse of there fallen enemy.

Arthur was glad that his old age was not making him slip in this adventure as his senses were still there. It seemed that whatever coming was bad from both Lilith and Aria. As the redhead had went over to where the minotaur was and gave it a mercy killing. If that was the case then there would have to be a quick split second discsion and some were heading in a different way. "Over this way, there is a passageway that will take us to the main hold on where we need ta go" he said to the group and ran as quickly as he could with his dwarven legs and ran into a nearby building. He already had opend the passageway for the others. No sooner he did then the blasted Novites had swarmed in and had already saw the dead beast man and were already eating him. The sounds of the Novites eating had put shivers down his spine. It was disturbing and made him just wanting to put that sound out of his head. Thankful that Aria had put the creature out of its misery then get it eaten alive by those bastard creatures.

Kail was thankful that the pain was lessening and was glad that he had been able to support the group. And preventing the demise of one of there party members. But when Arthur had said that he heard something. It caused both Lilith and even Aria to get into a panic over something.  The blond groaned and sighed as they were now going to be in a cliche chase sceen from a movie or a game he played. He saw Aria go over to the minotaur and well slit or cut open the thing's neck. Then she came back to him and picked him up "Let me go I can move damn it" he said wanting to wrigle out of Aria's grasp. But what made him go blank for a second were the swarm cat sized spiders with rows of teeth. "WHAT....THE FUCK ARE THOSE THINGS.....NOPE NOPE NOPE ALL OF THE GOD DAMN NOPE. WHERE IS THE DAMN RAID" said Kail as he then squirmed out of Aria's grasp trying to make sure that it would not slow her down. As he got out of it the adrennelen pumped once again and started to run like there was no tomorrow. The pain that he was feeling was minor to the sense of dread and wanting to live. He saw that everyone was running and after hearing Arthur though.

He vered to where the dwarf was and ran into the passageway and kept running in that direction. Kail knew that everyone else would be following since Arthur knew his way around. "If I ever get out of this alive I will be crushing spiders for the next year" he said trying to make a whitty one liner to make things a bit better as they were all running for there lives.

Lilith winced as Aria killed the beast once and for all, tears forming in her lilac eyes, but she refused to let them fall. Aria had to have a good reason; she’d never just kill just because. Soon enough she got her answer as they were forced to run. Lilith would have to remember to comment on Aria carrying Kail later on, but for the time being, running was the most important thing. She followed Aria once she started running, barely hearing Nyx or Tres ask their questions.

Within moments Kails yelling was very audible, causing Lilith to wince once more but ignored that. Whatever he was seeing caused her heart to pounding faster and faster, her skin the colour of snow by this point. If it was scaring him, it would terrify her.

She was close behind Aria, so when Arthur veered into a building, she followed with ease, not before being passed by Kail. She ran inside and climbed up ontop of some sort of structure, she didn’t stop to see what it was. When she’d started climbing, she dropped her scythe, her bag still over her shoulder. She went from looking semi confident and badass, to nearly crying, but not quite.

As they ran Aria looked over at Nyx who asked if they were going in the right direction; Aria didn’t care as long as they were getting away from the creepy crawlies. Man Kail was heavier then he looked. She rolled her eyes as claimed he could move; really slowing down at all was NOT in their best interest. Which he realized a few seconds later.

”I have no clue what this raid is, but I fully share in your sentiments.”

Wanting nothing to do with Novites was something they both could agree on. Aria stumbled a bit when Kail wriggled free; but otherwise kept up her speed. Without Kails weight she sprinted faster; making a last second turn as Arthur took a sudden detour. Aria paused at the passage only to make sure the others got in first. As soon as the last person ran in Aria tossed some seeds on the ground and made a thick wall of vines shoot up blocking the entrance. The vines would continue to thicken as Aria fallowed the rest of the group. Grabbing Lilith’s dropped scythe as she ran.

”Those my dear are Novites. Flesh eating spiders; frankly they terrify the hell out of me. Daddy use to send one my way to punish me when I would misbehave or do something stupid. They live in tunnels under ground and hunt in swarms. Oh and Lilith dear….NOT a woooord of this to you know who.”

Hearing Tres asked they little tour guide for better directions, her eyes shifted to Arthur for only a split second before returning to looking ahead of her. She barely heard Kail when he spoke since the sounds of chewing flesh was loud enough to send shivers down her spine. Not even sure why she did it but she took a chance to glance back to see what they were running from and the sight alone of enough to make her want to get the hell away from them much faster.


She didn't notice that Arthur had made a detour at first until she saw Aria standing by an open doorway. Quickly ducking into the doorway after the others stumbling a bit first since her staff at hit the top of the doorframe. Once inside she started mumbling prayers in her mother tongue to whatever deity to get them out of this safely with few injured. 


"So... these Novites.... how do we avoid them now?" She asked cause all she wanted to do at that point was find Arther's family chest, maybe pick up one piece of treasure and then get the hell out of there. She did not sign up to become a protentional meal for a spider and she didn't intend to either. Once she found some composer in their chase she let a few silent tears fall for the minotaur who's life brought them some time to escape and put as much distance between them and those creatures. Blinking away the rest of the tears having once again taken on her warrior mentality, as she followed behind the others knowing that she didn't have the time to properly thank the beast for its brave sacrifice.

    Running behind the dwarf, Tres kept an eye behind her, looking over her shoulder to check on the others. But to her lovely surprise she got a taste of Novites. She felt shivers run down her spine as she heard the sounds of their gnashing teeth in the distance.

    Her question was quickly answered as the dwarf veered into a building just before her. Also before her was a shrieking Kail, who startled her with his girlish-like voice. She laughed as she turned into the building behind the terrified blonde.

    Tres looked back on everyone doing a quick head-count. "Flesh-eating huh? Well it's better that we killed the beast rather than having it wake up missing half of it's body parts and bleeding to death." Tres knew that it probably wasn't what some of her group members wanted to hear at this moment, but it's best to put their minds at ease, even if it was about something as dark as death.

    She was climbing up a structure behind Kail, wondering where this passage way lead to. "Arthur are you sure this is the quicker way?" she said wondering what the hell she got herself into.

As Arthur opens the door to the passage he turns to Tres "Look lass did you think that I knew that these things would be on this path. I may be a wee bit battle hungry but I would not dilberately put you all in a situation like that. Just meerly bad luck. This passageway will lead into the stonghold grounds, this is what we were trying to get at" the dwarf said looking at the fallen angel. Since it seemed that she was hinting that he had ulterior motives which was rather insulting. But it seemed that the beast man had taken a rather massive toll on the group. "lets try and keep the momentum right now, if a few get through those plants and they get done eating that poor sod they will come after us. Once we get into the strong hold there is a safe place where we can get a breather" said Arthur as he motioned with his hand for the group to follow. They would not encounter anything in front of them but as they continued through the passage. Once they got to the end and into the stronghold. They would see that the castle like building had very very strong walls and were nicely done collums with beautiful chiseling and engraving. They would walk up some stairs to a store room that was lined with a lot of barrels and other things.

The chattering of teeth could be heard behind them as the Novites were now coming at them. "By Zepon's horns......lets try and find something to block this passage way closed. I know a few other paths we can take out from the hold. If we had to make a run for it" he said and right around them there would be stones and some other things around them. Some had barrels that were filled with something really heavy. A few others had some of them had coal. Some of the others had a black liquid that might of been oil or something of that nature. There were some other kinds of building materials as well.

".......For right now Nyx we run like hell" said Kail as they went through the covered passage as he kept running as the pain at the moment was not existant. Since everything in his mind told him to keep running and moving. If he slowed down though, he could be eaten. As well as slow down the entire group, he put up his shield and used a lightning gem to electricify it so if anything got in contact with the shield they would get shocked. Although this time he did take an earth from his mana railgun so he could make the shield spiky if need be. So that he could gore an enemy on it but right now that was a after thought. Once they got to the stronghold they would enter a storeroom that had various building materials and other things in it. Kail just leaned against a pillar panting a bit, he had endurance but the amount of pain that was going through him was tirering him out as the addrenelen had ran out and was getting drained. "Bad question to ask but does anyone have a vitality potion or a estus flask" he jokingly asked but it seemed that there would be some irony to that statement. As it seemed that they were still being chased by those things.

Could they not catch a break, although the echos were faint they would have enough time to do something and block the passage off. The blond taking out his Gaia Rod while sheathing his sword and started to look in some of the barrels. Hopefully to find something that they could use. Although looking at some of them he found some oil, that could slow them down but nothing that could stop them. But looked at the passage and since that they came up some stairs.  Could he do something to cause the passageway to collapse or just cover it in rubble.

Lilith slowly climbed down from her perch once the door was successfully blocked, and took her scythe back from Aria, thanking her. Her skin was more pale than usual as they were explained to be flesh eating. Aria explained and warned her to keep this quiet for reasons she found obvious. Lilith nodded serious, assuring her not a word would be said. She just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. She helped lift a few stones and placed them in front of the door, just wanting to get out and move forward.

After a moment she moved back to Kail seeing him lean against a pillar. She placed her hands on his chest without a word, not caring for his consent at this point, and pumped her magic through him. The chest was a strong point to heal from, as it was close to the heart. She didn’t have time to seek out each individual boo boo, so she just mass healed him. If he protested, she would flick him in the forehead and tell him to shut up.

I may have something that works like a vitality potion in my bag, why? She missed the joke, as it flew right over her head.

Aria nodded to Tres; there was a reason why she dispatched the beast. Especially when they had gone through all that trouble just to knock it unconscious. Aria kept quiet as they moved along the passage to the stronghold. She stayed at the back of the group; making sure no one fell behind. Not her favorite place to be considering it put her closer the creepy crawlies; but at the beginning of the trip she had been placed to cover their rear. Aria still carried the weapon Lilith had dropped; no since in leaving behind a good weapon. Though she had extra on her person if need be. She climbed the stairs only stopping when the group paused to catch their breath. Unfortunately there rest would not last long; she could hear the beast chewing through her last wall of plants made at the entrance of the chamber. Hopefully it would slow them down enough for them to come up with something more permanent. She looked around at the wall; as strong as it was, rock always had its weak points. Once again Aria took out her seeds.

”Lilith; help me use the vines to wiggle through any cracks in the passage way; force the plants through them. It should weaken the rocks enough to cause a collapse. Kail if you could blast the rock as we do this; it would help speed things along. Nyx if you’re able we could use your water to push through the cracks as well. Tres in the meantime throw as much shit down the stairs that you can; if any make it up the stairs stab them.”

She looked over and notice Lilith was busy trying to help Kail; over hearing that he needed some sort of potion. Aria quickly went over to Lilith’s bag and fished out a pink vial tossing it over to the man.

”Drink; and let’s get moving”

Aria activated the vines; the green tendrils quickly finding the cracks and pushing their way through the stone. Weakening the structure; hopefully to the point where they could collapse a large chunk.
