Sima's eyes dilated as her lips touched his own. His heart quickly ramp'd up to what seemed like a thousand beats per minute. Tears immediately began to fall from his eyes. What was he doing? Sima was such an idiot. To him a kiss was worth so much, and to share something so personal with somehow he just met was a loss. Sima was taught by a man that imbued such noble values, and for the first major part of his life he was taught them. These fundamental values or what kept him from being another monster, at least as much as it could. Sima wouldn't be Sima without them.
Sima knew that alcohol played a key part in this, but he felt that he should have known better. Sima was looking for something else, that Roxanne just currently was not. Sima wanted a life-long partner, one that he had a longer relationship. Pushing himself any further would be against what he believed. He was terrified, and wanted relief, and believed he could get that from Roxanne. However, Roxanne was fundamentally different than what he was looking for.
"I'm sorry, Roxanne. There's something I must do before I could ever consider even just kissing another being." Although his tears silently fell from his beautiful, sorrow filled eyes, he kept his posture. His face didn't change in determination or strength. Only you could see flares of anger appear in his eyes.
He was angry at himself for allowing himself to get so greedy. Having a mind set like this, wasn't healthy. Sima blaming himself for all of the bad things he did, but it did help to keep him from feeling like a complete monster. He wanted to follow his father's values of humanity, and become human in those eyes. Maybe then he could have kept living as his son. Sima, didn't know what to think right now, but he knew he needed to go and figure his life out, and sadly Roxanne was caught in the crossfire.
"If you wish I can return in a few days to repay you. I really would like to speak with you again, I was really enjoying myself." He sniffed the air lightly getting all the information he needed.
"The food will be done in 5 minutes.." He sighed, relieving some of his anxiety.
"It was a pleasure to meet you," Sima bowed, thanking her for her hospitality.
He turned, and rushed out the door. He collapsed near a tree, anger consuming him, as red sparks of red electricity began to fly around him, clinging to his skin, and bouncing around the nearby ground, and tree. He stood, trying to regain control of himself, he was so angry at himself, and at this point he could eventually do harm to himself. He pushed up off the tree, leaving a few tiny burn marks, and they quickly made his way through the forest with determination a small red light flickering in the distance as he moved, until eventually it went out.
Sima felt bad for abandoning Roxanne so quickly, but he had to do something, and it was the only way he could ever feel like a 'man' instead of a monster.

Roxanne was, to say the least, absolutely shocked at Sima's reaction. He'd been the one to provoke this, after all. She couldn't understand why he started crying. Surely she wasn't that horrible? His apology was brief, not really helpful in the way of an explanation and produced more questions than answers. She stared into his eyes, a look of confusion and some small bit of hurt buried there. Roxanne watched the sorrow in Sima's eyes morph to anger and still didn't understand.
When he offered to return to repay her, she gave him an even more confused look. "Isn't that why you cooked this in the first place? You're more than welcome to return whenever you like, Sima," she said, jerking only slightly as he said that he 'was' really enjoying himself. She nodded as he informed her of when the food would be done.
Roxanne didn't really have time to say anything else as Sima insisted it was a pleasure to meet her but then bolted out the door. She could hear him running away, crashing through the bushes. The smell of his anger was sharp and bitter in her nose. She sighed heavily, upset with herself at this point that she had run yet another man away. Perhaps she was simply too forward.
In truth, the half demon was quite torn. Part of her, the demon part most likely, really didn't care. It wasn't her fault that he came on to her first when she was trying to be polite and friendly. Yet the other half really wanted to go after him, to apologize, and make him understand that she hadn't mean to upset him except that she wasn't even sure if she had.
After several minutes of thinking, in which she also removed the pot from the stove because the food was done, Roxanne decided to think it over while she ate. She had to be careful because it was still quite hot, but the stew was surprisingly Delicious. It was the best she'd ever had, in fact. That being taken care of, Roxanne marched out into the night. She sniffed lightly, sorting through the various smells of the forest.
Sima's trail wasn't hard to follow and she quickly transformed into her half state to fly after him. She followed his trail to a tree that had a nigh perfect impression of hands burned into the bark. The smell was awful and she winced before taking flight again. It took her quite a few minutes to catch up, her wings almost silent as she flew through the night. Once she spotted him, she followed over head until he came to a place that was open enough for her to land safely.
Roxanne set down gently, landing behind Sima. He looked rather unstable and highly pissed, with what looked like red electricity running around his skin. "Sima..." she called quietly. She thought she might spook him and didn't want to set him off. Fighting off an angry demon wasn't on her list of things to do that day. "I know you probably didn't want me to come after you and honestly part of me didn't want to either. But if I didn't, what kind of person would I be then? I've worked too hard to come back from the monster that I was when my demon took over. I spent 8 years hunting humans, torturing and teasing them to death and loving every minute of it. I went against everything that my mother, gods rest her soul, worked so hard to make sure I'd never do. And I hate myself for that," she said quietly, telling him something that she hadn't yet explained to anyone. "If I let you run away, as angry and as hurt as you are, I'd be giving into that monster again," she finished.

Sima looked at Roxanne as she approached, horrified almost to see her. He gripped his hands tightly breathing in and taking one big step upward from where he collapsed. As he breathed in the air, it was almost like the cool air was fighting his bodies warmer temperature. The air pulled in around him collapsing with a small flash of light, and a echo shooting across the forest, the flash seemed to stop the electricity that was sparking from him.
Sima had regained control of his powers, for the time being also his emotional state. To say the least, Sima had experienced things much differently than any other demon, or human. He was raised a human being, and taught his entire life that he shouldn't even consider Demons human, or with any rights, or responsibilities other than to kill. Sima was raised on the opposite of this spectrum, and believed he was human, with good intentions, a soul, and morality.
When he was getting to reach the a puberty stage for demons, his powers became more present, and Sima began to realize that he was the monster he sworn to kill. Sima realized his strength, stamina, all other worldly, which made him almost a legend among his village, he realized that it was thanks to his race.
He didn't want to believe it, and tried so hard to pretend as if nothing had changed, but his powers were amping up, and Sima had no one that could possibly teach him about what was happening to his body.
Sima's powers only grew, and when he lost control cities would die, towns disappear.
"No, Roxanne. It's fine that you followed me." A look of confidence was painted all over his face, as he stood up. His eyes slowly reverted to a beautiful blue, and glared into her eyes.
"I know that you are very confused right now, and you have every right to be angry. I'm not leaving because of anything you have done, I am leaving because I realized I can't continue with this anymore. I can not kiss you, and I don't know if I ever will be able too." Sima sighed calmly. "I am different than most men, and because of the life I lived before this one, I've always watched my significant other die. " Sima refrained from telling her the exception for now.
"And, I thought I would be okay with a single night, where I could release the stress I have, but I realized I'm not okay with using you, or anyone else for that matter. I was being greedy, just like a Demon."
"I'm not a man, but I'm certainly not a monster. I'm unique,"
He looked at her, wondering if any of his words will make sense to her. "I've never given a kiss to someone I didn't love. At least until you," Sima eyes kept pace with hers, without any regret appearing in them.
"I decided for myself that I didn't think it was right, despite how much I wanted to, I wanted to keep my view of my humanity, and who I am intact. If I don't have morals, than I really do become the monster I was born..."
"Whenever I hear you speak like that, anger overcomes me." Sima realized she knew exactly what he was talking about, which was good, but the way she spoke he began to feel as though she blamed the demon part of her for her choices. He brushed it under the rug though, so to speak, having decided he wanted to see her at a later date, not wanting to linger any longer.
"I will see you again, someday, as long as you want to see me." Sima smiled lightly.
"I just hope you don't blame the demon inside of you," Sima had a somber look as those words escaped him.
Sima brought his left hand outward, and swung it at the tree. A large smack, and crack, as well as a small amount of crackling was heard. Sima had activated a spell of his, which increased his bodies strength by a great amount. However, it did not come without it's own drawbacks. The trunk wasn't completely hit through, Sima didn't want to push his body farther than he had to. The trees own weight was now more than enough to cause it to topple, many branches now cluttering the air above them, falling, becoming nuisances, which should prevent vertical take off. Sima knew what he was doing was irrational, but he was still intoxicated, and didn't want to sit around and explain things. He needed to see someone, before he ever considered speaking with Roxanne again, and before he ever decided to move forward with what his new aspirations were.
hiding the massive amount of pain he caused himself after tearing the muscles in his arm, as well as fracturing it in multiple places, he was simply not used to the 'mortal' aspect of not being Immortal any longer. He darted off, as this happened, reaching lightning speeds in what appeared to be seconds, this was truly a Demon's strength and speed at play. However, Sima knew his body wasn't going to withstand these forces, in this world his power was far too great for his own body, and it tore it to shreds whenever he willing used them, or unwilling did so. If he ran at these speeds for more than 5 minutes his legs would begin to stop working, and even if he stopped right now, the damage he caused was more than enough to cause people to visit the doctor.
Sima knew the land decently well, and his nose was an amazing tracking device when it worked, so as long as he calculated his trips well enough he could make amazing distances while minimizing damage that was done to himself. Sima knew he wasn't going to make it all the way there however, and would soon be forced to slowdown thanks to the immense pain. It would be quite easy to lose anyone who might follow however, and Sima did an amazing job at making his power seem without any disadvantage to spectators, it often made others fear him, as if they believed he could coin strength for such attacks at a whim, but it really did make people terrified to witness a man punch through wood, armor, steel, almost as if it was nothing. If sima decided to hit it any harder, he would have caused his arm to go limp, unable to respond to the trauma he put it through, however the tree would be in a much worse condition.
He was glad he had someone to heal him at least.
