Angels of the Arch [Luc-chan/Adrain/Open]

Three days had passed since Nyx had met Lucifina during that time they talked as they flew towards the Arch of Ages during the time of daylight and rested on the evenings to recovery since flying nonstop was bad for anyone health even a full angel like Lucifina. By the time they got to the Arch of Ages it was around midday and the Arch wasn't too busy some students were running around heading towards the courtyard or head towards to they rooms. Nyx didn't pay them much mind since it was still winter break after all and she didn't official start teaching until the spring so, for now, she was just another student and most of the students had gotten used to her style of dress but Lucifina was a different story. Moving as quickly though the school getting to her assigned room.



Once inside the room Lucifina would see that it was a simple room with not too many decorations, just a small living room with a couch a center table and some pillows, off to the side were two doors one which leads to her own bedroom the other lead towards a small bathing chambers. There was a kitchen that matched the one that Adrain had in his own room since it was easier for her to cook and have her meals in her room to avoid most of the people reminding on campus.



"Luc-chan you can take a seat anywhere I'm just going to get some clothes for us to change into. After all, you are about the same size as well." Nys said as she slipped into the first door on the right into her room, coming out a few moments later with her having changed into her short spring kimono while on her arm was a black and light brown outfit. "You can change into this then we can find Adrain so I can introduce you to him."

Lucifina after reaching the arch was in awe at the location as she would glance through the area as she continued try to follow Nyx through the school before finally reaching Nyx’s room. Lucifina took a few looks at the room and at Nyx “ The room looks nice Nyx, though there is not much it had enough to just live peacefully.”



Accepting the offer of Nyx, Lucifina went and found the closest seat to her and sat down as she waited for Nyx to get some clothes while just noticing they were about the same size. “ Okay Nyx just give me a few minutes to change and we can go meet this Adrian you were mentioning” Lucifina agreed as she took the outfit nyx handed to her, taking off the white dress she always wore and put on the outfit which seemed odd to her with the black and brown outfit which hugged her body even more then her white dress. “ How do i look Nyx?” Lucifina said as she waited for Nyx to respond.

After Lucifina changed Nyx walked about her pulling on the skirt making sure that it was in place properly it was when she notice that Luc-chan wasn't wearing undergarments. As much as she would love to see going commando but she didn't think that anyone else would like the view. Going back to her room she got her spare undergarments, giving them to Luc-chan. "Here put these on unless you want everyone to see your lady bits."



Once Luc-chan was more covered Nyx would walk around her one more time pulling on the skirt making sure that it was properly in place, tugging on the shirt and the jacket. "Okay, now you are presentable." Taking Luc-chan hand she leads her out of the room making sure that it was closed before making they way back to the main part of the school giving a mini tour as they made they way toward Adrain's office. 


"Luc-chan, by chance do you want to stay here with me till you are ready to stand on own two feet?" Nyx asked she waited for a reply before knocking on the door for the office.

Lucifina grabbed onto the undergarments first wondering what they were for but then remembered that most mortals would use these, she took a bit of time as took off her shirt and skirt putting on the undergarments before putting back on the shirt and skirt as she noticed Nyx checking if they fit properly “ Thanks for the help Nyx.”



Lucifina walked behind Nyx as she looked at the different areas around her while getting a small tour from Nyx, in awe she would sometimes smile at the random magic, statues, and tools in the area. Every once in a while she would noticed a few people staring at them until they passed. After a bit longer they were standing next to a door which Nyx suddenly stopped at.



“ That would be great Nyx if you don’t mind, Your fun to be around anyways from the past few days” Lucifina wrapped her arms around Nyx as she smiled and kissed her cheek before letting go and waiting for Nyx to knock on the door.

Nyx smiled brightly for a few reasons one was that she would miss her fun activities with Luc-chan and I didn't think that a newly fated should be living on they own until they have gotten used to the world a bit more. "Then let's see ask Adrain while we are making living arrangements." Taking a deep breath she knocked on the door waiting patiently for a reply before she pushes the door open slowly flooding into the room taking a spot near the door.

The door was latched but easily opened by Nyx. Adrain's office had numerous floating crystals radiating light and heat. A fine, oak desk and station was positioned where one would expect, along with a number of cabinets and paperwork stashes built into the wooden walls of the tree that made up his office. Furniture along with a small drink bar was visible along the walls of the room, along with an open door.

The door would lead to a small hallway, with three doors: one to either side and one at the end. The two to the sides would be locked but the door at the end would be open. Within, Adrain would be standing in a large sparring room with melee dummies and crystals for absorbing magical energy on the edges. He stood shirtless, holding a large, dragon motif spear in his hand. His eyes were closed as he was in a meditative pose, magical energy strongly around him. He would make swift, quiet, yet precise spear strike movements doing what Nyx might recognize as a weapons training exercise similar to martial arts from her world.

Melda had decided to give another visit to the Arch. After spending the day here with the Headmaster, it had brought on a flood of old memories going there, and she wanted it to be a bigger part of her life again. It felt like an escape from her constant work at the castle. She dressed appropriately in a sleek silver gown with a box neckline and sleeves ending at her wrists, and lovely floral patterns flowing alone the skirt hemline. Her cloak was a deep deep royal blue, completely in contrast to the silver, and was held together at her collar bone by a golden clasp. Her naturally silver hair was done in many braided, twisted around into a lovely low bun at the nape of her neck, with a few loose stands in the front to frame her face.

She'd entered the Arch not too long after the pair in search of Adrain, but didn't know them, and thus did not converse with them. She'd sought out directions by an employee (could have been another instructor for all she knew) and slowly found the same hallway they had, leading them to three doors. Oddly enough, she'd seen them enter the unlocked one, and on instinct followed suit. What she saw was rather curious, but she didn't say anything, and simply stood behind them, unnoticed, until Adrain would open his eyes and see her. Until then, she kept her eyes on Adrain and his movement, unadmittedly staring, though her face was expressionless.

Lucifina looked through the door noticing a man there shirtless who seemed to be training unknown by the looks of it, holding onto a spear and what seems to be some dummies around him. Lucifina continued to look around the office as she noticed all the decorations around. She continued staring for a bit longer wondering who was the person holding the spear as she grabbed onto Nyx’s hand “ hey Nyx did we enter the wrong room by chance? It doesn’t look like the headmaster is here” Lucifina whispered as she continued to turn her head from Nyx to the man standing on the other side.



Lucifina finally focused on the guy as she put her hand up and waved unknowing if he would have even seen it “Hi… umm im Lucifina umm guess we’ll be going now sorry for disturbing you we probably got the wrong room” Lucifina said as she pulled on Nyx’s arm turning around prepared to drag her out the room before she noticed another person behind her turning towards Nyx she nudges her and whispers quietly “Hey umm Nyx? There's someone behind us also” Lucifina started looking worried as she didn’t know what to do waiting for Nyx to tell her.

When they walked into the office she wasn't expecting Adrain to be training none for him to be shirtless doing it. This man did surprise her at times not that she didn't mind the view it was something but she wasn't going to complain about it just yet. Hearing Luc-chan asked if they entered the wrong room Nyx just shook her head. "No, we are not in the wrong room Luc-chan. That shirtless long silver hair eyes that shiny like an amethyst is Adrain the headmaster." She said never once taking her eyes off of him.



Feeling Luc-chan tugging on her arm wanting to leave she couldn't help it. She was being cute and adorable and she never really seen this side of her and she couldn't help it. Turning she placed her hand on Lucifina and gave her a quick peck on the lips. "Stop worrying." It was when she caught the end part saying that someone was behind them. Turning she saw a woman dressed very fancy from what she could tell while herself and Luc-chan were dressed more casually, Nyx in her spring kimono and Luc-chan in her old school uniform.



"Well, it is nice to meet you, Miss. Sorry, I didn't see you earlier I guess you are also here to see Adrain-san." She said smiling, once she had gotten a reply, Nyx would head towards the room that currently was being occupied by Adrain and his training dummies. From what he was doing it reminded her of martial arts and she didn't have any weapons on her but knew that it was best to practice against a real sparring partner. Taking off her shoes so that she was standing in only her socks and walking into the room just as Adrain was doing to do his next strike she stepped it blocking the pole of the spear with her forearm. "Adrain-san you have visitors and you shouldn't be training without a sparring partner." She said casually as she when through the movements of blocking as few more of the strikes before ducking under a swing and out of the way so that she was standing o the side.

Whilst he was oblivious to the arrival of the others still, those watching would see that Adrain moved with the spear in an unusually practiced manner. Each motion was smooth, graceful like a dance almost but deliberate and fierce. The air around grows cold as glyphs along the weapon activate and begin to exhude frost, a growing presence of frost manifesting along the tip of the spear. During the non interrupted period, he seemed as though he were in a trance with his eyes closed.

When Nyx intervened, it was only then his eyes opened and fixated upon the company in the room. Melda, Nyx, and a woman he had not met as of yet were all there looking at him. He exhales and ceases activating the mana within the spear as he then walks over to where his robe was hanging, putting it on attempting to look as casual as possible.

"Well, sorry about that. I was expecting the door's sound alarm to go off when someone entered during these office hours." he says, then closing the robe and buttoning it up, placing the spear on the table, looking at Nyx. "I was testing a magical artifact I acquired not that long ago, it has an inherent but depleted power that favors the ice element. I can reforge it probably but I need to understand the mechanisms behind the innate magic before tampering with it." he says, explaining himself then looking to Melda, bowing his head.

"Ah Duchess, what do I owe the honor of this day?" he says, then looking at Lucifina, bowing respectfully. "And I fear we have not yet met as of yet, I am Adrain Kaiaru, headmaster of the Arch of Ages." he states, then speaking to the group as a whole.

"Well let's go to the main office, it will be a bit more comfortable than this training room." he states, then walking past the women and into the main office, approaching the door and looking at a device that was hanging over it. He furrows his brow, grumbling.

"I see, that damn cat was messing with it again. He's lucky I'm not mean enough to add a lightning crystal to keep him off of it." he says to nobody in particular, then going to his desk and sitting behind, waiting for the women to get settled. "So what can I do for you ladies?" he inquires, waiting for the answers.

[Nyx]

"It is okay but the door was kinda open when we came it so that might be why the alarm didn't go off," Nyx explained. Now mention and given the chance she got a good look at the spear, it was incredible artwork for sure and from what she had seen and felt it was a powerful item. She nodded her head agreeing that it was better for him to test the weapon before he tries to do anything to it that will cause damage beyond repair.



Hearing Adrain address the woman as a Duchess she did a small bow as best as she could. Seeing him address Luc-chan she smiled her hands going to jester to her. "Adrain-san this is Lucifina-chan." She said making the introductions. "Duchess-sama it is an honour to meet you. You call me Nyx."



Following everyone back into the main office she took a seat at the far end of the desk. Her hand folded over her lap, now feeling a tiny bit nervous about what she is about to ask Adrain since it was a big request in a sense after all. "Adrain-san I was wondering if Lucifina-chan could stay with me until she gets on her feet since she is from a similar situation as myself." She said not sure how much she could disclose about being fated with another person she wasn't sure about and given Kail's warning that the fated were hated by some and after the undead attack, she becomes a bit more careful about mentioning her origins.

Melda Delsaran Vanya

Melda watched rather impressed as Adrain trained. He clearly knew what he was doing, and had been working hard long before just now. She eyes stayed on him and his figure, unable to control her wandering eyes for a moment. Really, him shirtless was worth looking. While she did this, she didn’t pay much attention to the other women talking, questioning if this was the right room. The one with white hair clearly knew who Adrain was.

Melda blinked as one of them pointed her out, and the other greeted her. She nodded her head in her own greeting, still not speaking. She was not used to being referred to as “Miss”. She didn’t quite like it. It wasn’t long after this that one of them roused Adrain, snapping him out of whatever trance he had placed himself in to spar. He took a moment for himself, but it looked like he was trying to play it cool; fair enough seeing as they had just crashed his session. He explained what it was he had been doing to the one with white hair, and Melda made a mental note about it; she didn’t quite understand it, but it sounded interesting.

Then he turned his attention to her while also informing the two women of her status. Melda smiled and bowed her own head in return. Headmaster, She started, unaware of if these two knew his new status. I came in hopes you would hear a request of mine. However, I don’t mind waiting if you have other business to attend to. She gestured respectfully to the other women. She followed them into the office when they moved, looking around curiously. When asked what he could do for them, Melda remained silent, choosing to wait until the others finished.

Lucifina held onto Nyx while watching the guy named Adrian put on robes and explained what he was doing, lucifina was nervous around these people as he would fidget and shift lightly behind Nyx. N..N..Nyxxx um..ummm Lucifina tried to call Nyx when the headmaster addressed her. Luckily for Lucifina it seemed that Nyx knew what was happening as she introduced her to Adrian. Breathing a sigh of relief she continued to try and hide near Nyx h..h.Hi .



Seeing the other bow down to the woman called a Duchess Lucifina did a small almost unnoticed bow to her before quickly following Nyx and the others into Adrian’s main office.Lucifina sat to the right of Nyx as she watched the Duchess tell Adrian to listen her Nyx before hand smiling towards her before turning back listened to Nyx explain the situation to the headmaster on how she needed a place to live since she just arrived to Nova. Hoping that the headmaster would let her stay with Nyx for the time being.

"Well, Serai tends to cause the same trouble as a normal, small hosuecat but a hundred times larger and just as much more trouble." Adrain says when Nyx mentioned the door was open. Tigers were so hard to train. When Melda mentioned she had business but would wait, he nodded.

"I thank you for your patience Duchess." he says politely, taking caution to not be too casual with her in the presence of others since such a thing might ire the elf.

Adrain listened to Nyx's request, his eyes shifting to Lucifina for a moment when she was mentioned. As Melda spoke, his eyes turned to her and he nodded, expecting that sort of response as is typical of her manners. He carefully considered the wording Nyx used, immediately understanding the conservative word usage to avoid Melda learning of that both were fated. He wasn't fully sure how Melda felt about fated at heart, so the caution was warranted.

"I don't see how that would be a problem. Will Lucifina require an enrollment and admission to the academy or is this a more traditional roommate arrangement?" he comments, picking up on subtle indicators of the nature of the relationship between the two. Nothing wrong with that sort of thing if true as far as he was concerned. He turns to Lucifina, approaching her and then bowing his head, smiling warmly.

"Regardless, welcome to the Arch of Ages, Lucifina. I hope you can become comfortable here as I see you nervous. You are as safe here as one can be in this world." he states, attempting to reassure the woman before returning to his desk.

[Nyx]

Nyx nodded her head she seen the tiger on a few occasions he did act more like a domestic cat than a tiger it was cute. Then again she did wonder where Adrain got the tiger cause it seemed well trained for the most part other than causing trouble like the door being left open.



Listening to the words spoke to everyone she kept quiet until she was addressed once again. Hearing the question she wasn't sure if Luc-chan wanted to try and enrolled as a student during since she was newly fated and didn't have much control over her magic in this world yet. "Hm... I was thinking upon traditional roommate arrangements." Her eyes landed on Luc-chan wondering if maybe she did want to enroll and learn the magic of this world.
