Once Isenwulfa arrived at the Arena there would be a guard waiting for her leading her down to the competitors section where she would be behind a large metal gate well over 25ft tall. After what seemed to be a few minutes the gates would shake as it lifted up and allowed Isenwulfa to walk into.
Once she walked through the crowd would shout in excitement and if she took a look there would be 5 boulders around 10-15 ft in size circling the center of the field. As the crowd cooled down the announcer stepped up “Welcome back to the Silver Arrow Arena everyone. We’re welcome to announce a new challenger Isenwulfa Æ--” Grabbing the signing sheet the Annoucer spent a few moments trying to read Isenwulfa’s name. Before rolling it back up “ Lets hope she’ll have an easier time fighting this monster then I have pronouncing her name shall we?” The announcer signaled the guards as the gate opened. At the same time a few guards seemed to have mounted ballistas around the Arena that have been loaded and aimed at the center.
It was an odd sight as what seemed to be a large hand and leg would show from beyond the opposite gate, along side a group of guards that seemed to be yelling. The beast would slowly move out of the gate as the guards in the back became visible completely armed, shields ready and swords drawn as the forced the beast through the gate. It was an Ogre around 23ft tall. It stood up straight in the open area before letting out a roar. It had a wicked underbite as two fangs seemed to overlap showing the fangs off normally. “As a safety precaution there are guards around the perimeter just in case this doesn’t end well.” The announcer said as the fight began.

Ísenwulfa sang Éawyn's Lament as she calmly walked through the massive gate into the center of the arena, shield on her left shoulder and war axe held ready in both hands. Her voice was loud and clear, audible to any of the crowd close to the edge of the arena when it quieted down for the announcer. She did not stop for the announcer, nor did she pay much attention to his words. She kept an ear open for word that the battle was about to start, but she was studying the arena as she sang.
Those watching had paid money to watch her fight, and that meant that the large boulders were there to offer her a chance at survival. They would block off too much of the fight from those on the opposite side of the arena if she chose to hide behind one. What kind of creature, whether it was slow or fast, big or small, she didn't know. All Ísenwulfa knew was that it would be extremely dangerous. The ballistae surrounding the arena only added to her assumption.
The opposite gate slowly opened, and an immense arm and leg appeared. So, the creature would be large. It was slow in entering the arena, perhaps reluctant to do so, so Ísenwulfa ceased her song and darted behind one of the boulders. Hidden from the creature's sight, she removed her shield and held it by the guige, feeling the familiar weight as she bounced it up and down lightly on the strap. It was a standard model of shield, no more than twelve pounds. She could throw it a considerable distance, but the distance didn't really matter because all she really needed was the motion.
Ísenwulfa peaked around the boulder just as it began to stand upright, and kept an eye on it. The creature, whatever it was, was too big for her to take it head on. She would need to get around behind it and hamstring the creature, then disable the arms and finally go for the head. She knew, however, that just because the creature was massive that didn't mean it was slow. The biggest man she knew, almost seven feet in height, was also quite fast. There were smaller, lighter, men who could dance circles around Céolbeorht, but he only needed to hit them once, with a single, deceptively fast strike, and they were done for. The faster men, on the other hand, rarely managed to make much impression on Céolbeorht for fear of his attack. What Ísenwulfa needed to do was to test how good the creature's reflexes were.
Her plan was simple: she would throw her shield as far away from her as possible, then run in the opposite direction. How the creature reacted would tell her a lot about it. How long would it take for the beast to focus back from the shield onto her? Would it charge straight for her, or begin to circle? Once she knew these things, she could begin to test the creature's turning speed and, once she was fairly certain, she could probe it to see how fast the creature could strike. Then, and only then, could she begin to kill the creature.
Beneath her magnificent helmet, Ísenwulfa smiled. Soon she would be going to the Morgg and facing down a goddess. What was this monster to that?
Silently, Ísenwulfa suddenly threw her shield high and off to her right. At the same time, she dashed to the boulder on her left. She didn't want to go too far around the ring in case the creature tried to circle around in the same direction as her, but she also needed to see how it reacted. This was a good compromise. Now all she needed to do was see how the creature reacted to her ruse.

The ogre saw a blur go past his vision, paying no mind to it he walked towards the rocks, looking around he sniffed the air before lifting one of the rocks slowly and tossing it at another causing both rocks to break in half. The ogre would then walk into the center of the once circle of rocks before looking around searching for the person whom was suppose to be in this arena with him. The ballistae were slowly moved to aim at the ogre at all times just in case it decided to attack the arena. The men mounted on them would constantly check to see if the bolt was loaded and ready to fire since they would not want any civilian casualties if possible.

The monster ignored the shield entirely and picked up one of the boulders instead. For a moment, Ísenwulfa almost felt fear. Then it merely threw the boulder at another in the circle, breaking them both, and moved on into the circle. So, did it have poor vision, then, or was just single minded? Or, worse, was it very intelligent and playing with her?
As the monster began to walk around the circle, Ísenwulfa dashed around to her left, deciding to use herself as the bait this time. If the monster moved to pick up the boulder she was behind, she would attempt to dash around it as the creature began to lift and cut at one of its heels with her axe, hoping to severe the tendon. If the creature moved to hit or grab her, she would try to dash around the circle until she got behind it and do the same. The monster was an unknown quantity, but that was all she could do right now.

The Ogre was angry and hungry walking around the circle he watched as his target ran towards the rocks he would then attempt to pick up the rock to feel a sharp slash on his heel, though it drew blood the tendon was not fully cut. In a violent motion the Ogre held onto the rock, turning its body would swing the rock low towards another rock on the opposite side causing boulders to shatter to pieces.

The beast was just slow enough that Ísenwulfa could dash past it as the monster began to raise the rock and chop at its ankle. Perhaps the creature had too thick skin or she timed her cut wrong, because it didn't have the effect she had hoped. The beast did not drop to one knee screaming in pain, but turned its body rapidly and threw the boulder.
Ísenwulfa, on making her cut, had dashed towards the nearest boulder. She didn't reach it before the monster threw the enormous rock, but fortunately the creature hadn't aimed it at her, but at the boulder directly opposite the one it had picked up. A few small shards of stone bounced off her helmet and body, but none caused any damage that would affect her ability to fight.
Once behind the boulder, Ísenwulfa stopped and watched the monster, wary. It was slow in reacting to her, but it could turn its upper body very fast and throw to match. The creature did, however, seem slow of wit, not aiming the boulder at her in its impotent rage. So, it was time to make a gamble. If the beast did no more but to repeat what had happened before, Ísenwulfa would try the same move again, getting out behind it and cutting at the same ankle as before in the hope of succeeding the second time. However, if the monster reacted differently from last time, she would start running around the outside of the circle to avoid the creature and then play it by ear.

The Ogre looked for Isenwulfa again deciding to pick up a second rock and try to throw it, once again feeling the sharp blade slice at his ankle again. Feeling the blade slash his ankle again in a rage the Ogre would try to turn and throw the boulder but quickly fall to the ground. His tendon was sliced apart, the weight of the boulder caused his foot to crack and push upwards towards his leg exposing the bone. The ogre would roll and scream in pain as he looked at his destroyed leg as blood seemed to flow out of the leg coating anything it touched a deep red.

Ísenwulfa smiled wolfishly behind her helmet as the creature went to pick up another boulder. She repeated the same move as before and this time had more success; though the blade didn't completely severe the tendon, it did do enough damage that when the ogre put the combined weight of its body and the boulder on that leg the ankle snapped and the creature fell to the ground screaming in pain. The boulder and the ogre nearly fell on her as it toppled to the ground, but she agilely danced out of the way of the body and the flailing arms.
Though the creature was still very dangerous, Ísenwulfa was now quite confident of success. The creature rolled around on the ground still screaming, and she began to sing the song of Eirek Bloodbeard, a rough and cruel song about a tyrannical Sea King and his many vicious victories.
As she sang, Ísenwulfa began to dance in and out at the ogre, trying to cut the backs of its knees and then at the junction of its buttocks of thighs. She moved in and out as it rolled to one side or the other and exposed her targeted areas, and did her best to keep out of arms reach. She did not like such a prolonged method of killing, but she couldn't risk being grabbed by its arms. Once the creature had no use of its legs and had lost more blood she would try to move in for attacks at the arms or, if she thought she saw a clear enough shot, at its throat. Her cruel dance, if uninterrupted, would very quickly see her covered in sprays of blood, and her boots and socks being practically soaked in blood and mud.

The Ogre let out a roar as he tried to grab Isenwulfa, without any luck and his legs useless the Ogre was flailing his arms, slamming them on the ground causing the area close to him to quake slightly. After trying to flail and hit Isenwulfa a few times the ogre’s hands ran over a rock, grabbing the broken pieces of rock he would then through the rocks where Isenwulfa used to be. Most of them were way off though a few were fairly close to where Isenwulfa would stand.

Ísenwulfa came close to falling over once or twice between the repeated impacts of the monster's arms on the ground and the gradually spreading field of bloody mud, but she managed to keep her footing and hack at the creature as planned. In and out, in and out, in and...
A piece of rock whanged off the side of Ísenwulfa's helmet and made her stagger, vision blurring. The monster, it seemed, had begun to blindly throw pieces of rock. The throws were wild, but as her vision began to clear, another chunk of rock hit her in the left shoulder and she felt the arm go numb. Someone who had never truly fought for their life might have panicked or frozen at that point, but Ísenwulfa was a veteran.
Quickly, but without undue haste, Ísenwulfa moved back away from where the beast was throwing the rocks. She let her axe fall to the ground and felt at her left shoulder carefully. It didn't seem broken, just badly bruised and largely useless for now. If she had had the time, she might have created some sort of sling for her arm to minimise the pain, but Ísenwulfa didn't think the crowd would appreciate her taking the time for that. In any event, she was used to pain.
Drawing Fýrwylm, Ísenwulfa advanced again. She cautiously circled around behind the creature, aiming for the side she hadn't been attacking before in the hope that the creature wouldn't be expecting that. She intended to do much the same as she had before, only with single rapid dashes from a long way away and a rapid retreat to observe the way in which the rocks were being thrown so that she could attack from a safe direction. She still sang as well, though more quietly and with gaps in the song as she rushed to attack.

The ogre didn’t change tactics he continued to chuck rocks at Isenwulfa, once she ran the ogre would be able to hear the slight singing and kept throwing rocks at the general location of Isenwulfa, Once the ogre ran out of rocks he would drag himself to the next rock and try to smash it before continuing to pick up rocks and throw it at Isenwulfa while letting out multiple roars. A trial of blood would be on the ground from the dragging.

Ísenwulfa continued to dodge the rocks as she harried the monster. She wasn't quite fast enough with her useless arm to get any closer than the creature's knees before it would throw rocks at her, but she continued to make a cut on each sally, so that by the time the creature ran out of rocks its calfs were cut with dozens of large, bleeding gashes.
When the creature began to drag itself forward, Ísenwulfa took her chance and rushed the monster's right arm as it began to extend, aiming to reach it as the arm reached full extension so she could launch a cut at the junction of the arm and the shoulder so she could partially severe some of the connecting muscle. As she landed the blow, she would be already be jumping towards its back, aiming to launch herself off it back at an angle opposite to where she had come from.
If the monster went back to crawling forward, Ísenwulfa would aim to do the same with the beast's left arm. If not, it still had legs she could cut up even more. If she saw an opening, she might even be able to make a thrust into the arteries along the monster's thighs. Eventually blood loss would kill it.

After geting more wounds from Isenwulfa, the Ogre was able to reach the next rock though the loss of blood was getting to him as he laid on the floor exhausted. Unable to make any constant movement with any part of his body he was basically waiting to be killed. Once the audience saw this the arena went into a roar “Kill it, Kill it, Kill it” echoed from the arena as they waited for Isenwulfa to kill the beast. The Guards stationed at the ballistas were just sitting there watching, no longer on alert since the ogre seemed as if it could even move anymore.

Ísenwulfa approached the dying beast cautiously. It looked entirely defeated, but she'd seen men who seemed dead suddenly spring up and make a last spiteful attack when their enemies least expected it. She'd even taken a wound from one of them.
Rather than approach the head directly, Ísenwulfa clambered up onto the creature's back and walked as best she could towards its head. Her feet slipped once or twice, the scarlet mud making footing difficult, and each time she stabilised herself with her sword. If the creature flinched or showed signs of movement, she waited a moment for it to settle down and then proceeded.
Once at the momster's head, Ísenwulfa would kneel down and thrust her sword again and again down through the side of the beast's head until she hit an artery and blood spurted out. She would leave it then, voice rising to a crescendo as the ogre breathed its last breaths. If the monster was foxing, well, she would try and deal with that if and when the worst happened.

The ogre screamed in pain from the repeated stabs, though it quickly was silenced as the ogre bled to death. Once the audience realized that the ogre died they all stood up and cheered the announcer would then stand up and begin talking “Congratulations Isenwulfa, for defeating the Ogre. It was an amazing spectacle to watch and looks like the crowd agrees.” The gates would rise allowing Isenwulfa to leave “You can obtain your reward after returning back to the waiting room. Now let's give Isenwulfa another round of applause for defeating the ogre” Once that was said another round of cheers and clapping could be heard”
