Aqua was spending time in the library at the arch of ages, trying to learn Novian and reading about the deities of Nova, specifically the god of love, AI. She found AI admirable, a beautiful woman who is strong and passionate and loving. Aqua enjoyed reading about her and other gods of the pantheon.
She sat at a table with a pile of books around herself, However she had one book open on the deities and another book besides that one which Tresor recommended for her to assist Aqua in learning how to read the common language used in Nova. She would struggle a bit with learning it at first since it was radically different from any language she has seen before but, she would slowly begin to get the hang of it. Learning new languages was natural to her since people from her world were able to travel between them, its how she managed to learn Spanish and Latin so easily from just observing it. She stopped reading for a moment to process her thoughts, this curse of hers was strange, why was she able to remember trivial things like that but not remember things of those dear to her or other things about her own world...? She pushed the thought to the back of her mind, Headmaster Adrain was most likely going to help her solve that issue and she would be searching for her own way to break it.
As she was reading about Ai and the other gods, she would be writing notes on her transcript spell to a book she left open on her counter so that she could see some things for later reference, She would write a sentence copying the novian characters and below that she would write the translation under it in Spanish.

Sabel awkwardly shuffled into the library; her arms filled with books she was returning back to the arches library. She dropped the books off with the librarian to be reprocessed and shuffled to the shelves which contained the books she needed for the paper she needed to write for her homework. Sabel, although in her first year, had been fortunate enough to receive a basic education in at least her letters. She was learning math here at the arch, but it was enough to at least get her placed in some more advanced classes. The privileges of being a noble, even a bastard one, was excellent. Though her Baron father was not something she lorded around here; she was happy being some no name student, far from the judgmental eyes of the court…. Any normal life there was ruined by her sister with the loose lips.
The color in Sabels cheeks began to rise as she thought about her sister, she still hadn’t forgiven her. She had a chance to gain a respectable title, but nnooooo, her sister had to go and let it slip she was the drunken offspring of a prostitute. Sabel let out a little growl and kicked a corner of a book case; immediately regretting the action. Her soft leather slippers doing nothing in the form of protecting her large toe, which immediately protested the action. ”By the Gods damnit!” Sabel mumbled under her breath; still aware she was in the library. She took a deep breath, and counted to ten in her head, the color leaving her cheeks as she calmed herself from a rare outburst. She was not one for large displays of anger; but having ones future completely smashed to smithereens would cause most anyone to loose there cool every now and again.
Sabel turned back to the task at hand; rolling up the large sleeves of a tattered old brown novice robe. Signifying her first year as a student in the Arch. The robe she got was a second hand robe, her mother could not bring herself to go to a shop where they actually sold the uniforms for the Arch. She instead had one of her servants dig one up in the lower district market of Nova. Sabels attendance here at the arch was not a proud moment for the family, seeing how they all frowned on the magical arts. Though they were being as supportive as they were able considering there dislike. So Sabel had nothing to complain about there. That and she didn’t mind the second hand look; no one here question who her parents were, or where she came from. The headmaster at the arch was very understanding of her situation and agreed that her noble background was on a need to know basis for the rest of the staff and student body. To everyone here she was simply ‘Miss Sabel’ Well not so much Miss, most people couldn’t tell her gender.
Books in hand, Sabel went to go check them out and go back to her dormitory. As she walked back she happen to notice a blue haired girl, with her nose in a book. Sabel did have a small curiosity streak in her, couldn’t help but look at the pages heading. She sniffed….course it was a page on Ai. Bunch of crack pot shit that was. Love, to her it meant nothing more the infatuation and obsession; hell she could bottle that stuff and recreate it…didn’t seem that special. Forget marriage, her father was proof that meant diddly squat.

As aqua was reading, she turned around to heard someone mumbling to themselves and a loud thump. she turned around to observe this young person who seemed to be doing deep breathing exercises to either soothe her pain or anger, it seemed like both to aqua. But could tell she was a first year as well due to the color of her robe.
Aqua stood up to the chair and walked over to the mysterious..person, she couldnt tell if it was a boy or girl, and its rude to assume so she didnt. Aqua walked over with her magic circle to heal in hand. "Hey are you ok?" she asked the young person, seeing her stub her toe could lead to some bruising and in this time period , compared to what aqua is used to it could lead to infection or other issues. " I could heal that for you if you'd like." if sabel agreed to let her treat it she would bend down on her knees and place her hands directly over the toe Sabel hurt and began to heal it. Regardless if she declined or accepted the healing aqua would then ask,
"I havent seen you around before, what is your name? I am Aqua aingeru, im a first year like you." she would say, shyly.

It startled Sabel slightly that the girl just dropped what she was doing to suddenly get up and try to heal her toe. A LITTLE too eager to preform magic on another. Sabel backed up slowly ”Um thanks by no thanks……no offense I don’t want a novice forcing magic in me” NEVER let a novice healer preform magic on you; that was common sense for any native. Shoving a foreign body of manna into a person especially one who had manna channels was an ill-advised task, especially for someone untrained in the subject. ”You do realize you can cause manna corruption in other magics if you don’t know how to avoid the manna channels….seems stupid that you’d risk manna corrupting another student or anyone else for something so small….really didn’t your mother teach you anything? Or are you just trying to accidentally kill students.”
Really wasn’t there supposed to be some sort of rule about practicing magic on another student without a teacher’s supervision. She was pretty sure she read that in the handbook that it was strictly against the rules. She sniffed slightly; dangeerouus stuff healing was. She respected true healers though, the amount one had to learn about the body and manna channels was impressive. She read a book once on it; it was a lot more complicated then it looked. Especially since manna channels could differ from species to species. Its why most novice healers stuck to the potion side of healing, due to the fact it allowed the body to process manna naturally. Though one had to know what ingredient to include with non magics cause there was a completely different set of risks when dealing with a non magic.
Back to the subject at hand ”If you’re going around healing people, you’re lucky you haven’t killed someone yet…..My names Sabel by the way, been here for a month or so, are you brand new?” Chance was the girl hadn’t had a chance to start her lessons fully yet, or at least go over the rules….”Listen I won’t snitch you out to the teachers about trying magic on another student, just so long as you don’t try it again.
Sabel was obviously younger then the woman, but she carried an air of superiority at least she was when she wasn’t being antisocial. Something which rubbed most people the wrong way. Sabel…just didn’t get along with most people.

Aqua was surprised the...girl? She thought. reacted so negatively to her offering of help, after she declined aqua just looked her plainly in the face. "Novice.. mother..?" she said slowly, aqua hated being insulted, it struck a chord within her that few people get to see, that trigger word she used. "Fine, your right and I made that mistake and i wasn't made aware of that rule, I only admitted into the school with the blessing of Headmaster Adrain on account of my skill with magic so I've been around here for around 2 months." she said with an attitude in her voice.
"Ill show you novice.." She added while walking back to her table with her books, in Spanish under her breath. She took the books she had with her and decided to check them out of the library, aqua did not take to very kindly. "If you want some advice on how to learn things in the arch since you clearly have not been told, its better to work together and teach each other rather than insult their mistakes and then try to act like it didn't happen." Aqua then snapped her finger and summoned 6 guards to help her carry her various books. As she walked out of the library she ran her finger through her hair and flipped it.
While walking down the hall toward the dorms Adrain had appointed her to. Aqua put her hand out in front of her and began to use her magic circle for light used transcript to write notes on Sabel's and Aqua's interactions and what she learned of healing and manna. After she finished writing it, it would appear back onto a book in her dorm and she would dispel the circle and flash a grin.
