Serenity had been sitting at the bar for - well she'd lost track of how long ago she'd actually arrived here. She really wasn't adjusting well to life in Teair Nova, she had no purpose, no power, and hence, no drive. So, instead of her usual routine, long shattered by arriving here, she came to the Mary, and literally drowned out her sorrows. She no longer had to act like a proper lady, that much she'd gotten used to. Of course, that would always be apart of her, that sense of higher power and status. She looked around in crowd of the Mary with disdain, even now, feeling above them. She threw back another glass of whatever she was drinking- she'd forgotten the name after the fourth glass- and ordered another. The bartender had originally cut her off, but with a slight flash of what was barely hidden under her dress, and she was back on track. It was one of the advantages of being "gifted" the way she was. At home, it was merely a burden, and women were wary to walk the streets at night. But here, here it helped her.
Serenity had given up slightly on the dress she had arrived in, and had taken on Nova's clothing, with a hint of her worlds style here and there. She wore a crimson gown, flowing down to her ankles, with a bodice cut low enough that her cleavage line was more than visible. Her burgundy hair was up in it's usual cascading curls, some framing her face, some sitting perfectly atop her head. She had the skin of a porcelain doll, but now it was flushed with the alcohol that ran in her system. She was leaning forward on the bar counter, only adding to her cleavage problem- not that she care at all at this point- and took another drink. She wasn't able to find work, even after the oddly dressed man from her world had tried to help her. This is what she did now, coming to the Bloody Mary, getting drunk out of her mind, and if she could remember clearly, sleeping with most of the men who spoke to her. Back home, she'd be the exact type of women she despised, though she would never admit that. She still held that "high and mighty" vibe around her, which really made her a hypocrite, but she'd pushed it out of her mind.
She needed to find a purpose, a reason, if she didn't this would continue to be her life, and if she knew anything, it was that she didn't want that. She finished off the last of her fourth class at looked up to the bartender, her hazel eyes leaving no room for objection.
Give me something new sweetheart, I need to taste something sweeter, but just as strong. As she spoke, she noticed the man behind the bar watching her lips, and she gave him a sultry smile, knowing that they were glossy, red, and mesmerizing. Yet another advantage.

Kuro had been in Teair for a while, yet everything about the world was still a mystery. He didn't care much for anything that he deemed useless. He read up on the things he felt absolutely necessary, but anything else was forgotten or ignored. Where Kuro was from bars were generally a perfect place to find information. He casually entered the bar, but stuck out for a few reasons. Kuro's blade that was so easily visible often got people's attention as the chain hit against the metal of his blade making the usual clanging sound of metal on metal. Also Kuro's ensemble was full of black, giving off the vibe that he was some sort of thieve. Also his rare light red eyes also made him stick out distinctly. Kuro made his way to the bar, not caring for anything other then what he wanted to know. A man on a mission would be the best terms. He sat beside a man, and a woman. The woman seemed to wearing an awfully revealing dress, at least for the top part of her torso, showing off much cleavage. Kuro didn't care, in fact he didn't even look. It was tempting, but there was something else that was more important. As far as he could tell it was simple bar skank, he had no use for that, unless it took orders.
Kuro tapped the bar making a distinct noise, and sure enough the bartender noticed. He seemed to be looking through stock as if preparing, or trying to find a preferable drink that someone had asked for. Kuro glared with a slight fire in his eyes, he had hoped that this would not last long. He awaited for the bartender to finish preparing the drink for the hometown skank, not having any other mindset for her, she was what she appeared to Kuro. After this was done he signaled the bartender and he walked over. Kuro simply made a few gestures, as if ordering through a number routine. The bartender nodded and handed him a routine. "Thanks," Kuro responded sliding a few coins for the drink, he would interrogate the bartender later, for now he'd enjoy the drink. The bartender knew he wanted information, at least as far as Kuro tell.

Serenity glanced over when a man sat next to her. Her eyes narrowed and she turned to face him, trying to get a better look. He looked so odd, black and gloomy, and what was that hunk of metal attached to him. She suppressed a shudder at his attire, and focused on his face. She saw him glance over at her once, paying no mind to her at all before flitting his eyes back to his drink. That was a first. People usually spent more time looking at her, but he didn't even seem to care. For some reason that made her oddly interested. She took another drink and focused more clearly on his face. He had this look in his eyes, a look Serenity used to be familiar with. The look of a purpose, a drive. She decided right there that she wanted to know whoever this was, despite his odd and distasteful appearance.
Serenity cleared her throat and spoke. Hey, you. I haven't seen you in here before. I'm Serenity. She'd gotten used to their speech patterns by now, no longer speaking at formally as she used to, but her English accent was still thick as could be, giving away the fact that she was fated. In the back of her mind she had a question for this man, and it was one she'd been waiting to ask the right person, and he seemed to fit the quota. She decided she had to add something more to what she said, or she knew she'd come off the way she had been acting lately, and in this case, that wasn't what she'd wanted.
You look like you're on a mission. Any way I could help? She cursed herself silently. Her words were laced with a second meaning, and that was the opposite of what she wanted. Her accent only added to the sultry of her voice, but that couldn't be helped. She was just naturally attractive.

Kuro turned his head looking at the woman beside him. His first thought when she approached him was. Despite any risk of disease from the hometown skank, he couldn't help but think she was rather attractive. Attractive enough for Kuro anyways. He was very good at using people's words against them, using deduction to play into his own needs. It took time sometimes, but with people that were not rather intelligent he could play them like fools. Kuro wasn't the best though, he was gullible, easily tricked. He raised an eyebrow at her question. "Is this a sexual thing?" He said rather bluntly taking a drink, almost with no change of expression, or no emotional response of being embarrassed, and Kuro would only be interested in her for the night, unless she had some sort of talent to her, something he could use, and he had no idea this was not her meaning because the way she spoke certainly implied something. "I'm Kuro," He replied reaching his right hand towards her. Had the woman taken the chance to look at his bare hand she would be able to see the many scars from spikes digging into his palm.
Kuro would wait for her response, if it was not a sexual thing then she better have some sort of talent he could use, other words she was excess baggage. While Kuro talked he was good at being quite the gentlemen. This was not by him meaning to do so. Most men would find it quite difficult to be able to keep from looking at her chest. This was not the case for Kuro, this was not because he was not attracted to woman, but because woman was not what he was focused on. Kuro would start thinking about that once his own goals were complete, the goal of killing the demon he was after.

Serenity was startled by his bluntness, sitting straighter in her seat. It certainly was not! Her face blossomed, and she was able to laughed slightly at the remark now, the amount of drinks in her system making her moods change quite swiftly. She reached her hand delicately out to his, shaking it lightly and nodded her head. It was an interesting name to say the least. His bluntness had thrown her off guard, but she regained her composer,- or what she could, while being drunk- and tried to rephrase her initial sentence.
It's a pleasure to meet you Kuro. Her accent was thick, but her diction was perfect, also adding to the effect of the Fated. She took a sip from her drink, keep her eyes on his. She really admired the look he seemed to hold permanently.
What is it that you're after? What's you're mission? She kept her tone more neutral now, trying to make is sound as non sexual as possible. If after all, the only thing that came from this meeting was sex, she couldn't say she'd be 100% disappointed, but it was not her current goal. She could read people, and right now, he was exactly what she needed to get her life back on track, even if it was a new track all together.

When she spoke, regarding the sexual tension in her voice being false he simply responded with a facial expression that said. "Could have fooled me." Kuro spoke regarding her questions. "I'm in search for a special person, " Kuro spoke relatively calmly. "A man with long black hair, blue eyes, goes by the name of Sima." He shook his head. "Doubt you've seen him, unless you slept with him." Kuro took another drink. "I doubt you'd be his type though," You could tell Kuro didn't care too much for hurting her feelings, if she wasn't comfortable with the way he treated her, then he would simply stop talking to her. What use did she have? So far there was only one use. "What can you offer anyways, what good is your help? Other then the obvious 'company' at the end of the night anyways," He was curious to how she would react to a few things.
Kuro could tell what type of person she was if she reacted with out bursts, if she did react in outbursts he could deduct that she agreed to the words he spoke, if she stayed calm, she had a better brain then he first anticipated. Depending on this answer his intrigue towards her would change, if she began to outburst, then she was useless. "She's useless.." A voice in Kuro's head spoke to him, dark, and quiet. It was the blade, despite the blade holding all of his power, he still had his own conscious, he would wait and see her response.

Serenity thought for a moment, but a man with that description had never crossed her eyes before, and she'd remember if she had slept with him. Serenity laughed sarcastically, just a small huff of air, and shook her head, smiling with attitude. No, I don't remember sleeping with man like that. But then again I don't always remember. Her voice was laced with sarcasm, slightly angered by his words, but deciding to stay calm.
What could she offer him? She'd have to lie. She was still new to this world, still learning, and she wanted to learn from him. Well, if information is what you're after, in order to find this "Sima", well I'm actually really good at that. Bu t thank you for thinking my "company" would be good. She made a joke of his words, still sarcastic, but deciding to laugh at it, taking another drink and shaking her head. She could tell this guy was a total ass, but she found him interesting to say the least. She didn't want sex from him, no. She wanted to learn how to survive, how to defend herself and fight. He clearly knew how, and if she could convince him, he would be her teacher. She smiled to herself and looked back at him.
I can help you get the information you need, among other things if they pop up, and we'll go from there? Again, she cursed how awful that sounded, but she didn't correct it, knowing he'd use it against her regardless. She'd simply take his insults as they came.

He glared at her. "I never said your 'company' would be good, I only said it would be present." He looked her over briefly, looking at her build. She didn't seem to be strong, or even seem to have magical abilities. What could she offer? She was good at gathering information huh? He noted her smile, despite being often quite gullible, he wanted her to prove her skills, and he wanted to make a point first. Kuro noticed her smile, it was not one of the signs from a woman that enjoyed talking, it was not of one that was happy for someone else. That was a smile, a smile he knew all too well. She was using him for something wasn't she? Kuro had no idea what this was, and this was all speculation, but he would have to make sure he was one step ahead. Kuro noted her words, once again they sounded slightly too erotic. Kuro made sure to ignore them this time, as much as he'd like to insult her more, that wasn't his objective. He had to dig into her mind, find out what she was thinking. It was a game of speculation and thinking. One that Kuro was rather good at.
By changing in pace he could throw her off, confuse her, she didn't need to know the way he handled situations. "Your going to have prove yourself, I don't want trash." He didn't care how she proved herself, as long as he got what he wanted. A person with valuable skills he could manipulate to benefit his own goals. He would have to manipulate her over time, assuming she actually had skills worth using. He smirked, knowing that if this turned out in his favor he would have the beginning of a company he could take forward against the demon. Kuro's powers were not affected by world jumping, sadly he had no clue that Sima's were. This meant he was preparing for power Sima no longer had. Kuro was oblivious that his own power now trumped the demons in comparison.

Serenity rolled her eyes at him, but otherwise ignored his statement completely. She took another drinking, seeing how he sized her up, and one of her eyebrows rose in response. What exactly did he want? She looked around the tavern, taking note of almost all the people there, wondering if she could get anything from anyone, but no one really stood out. Her eyes glanced back over at him, narrowed when he spoke again. She started to protest that she wasn't trash, but stopped herself, knowing it would not help her any. She also knew that trash, was exactly how she was acting lately. She let out a small huff and glanced around once more, trying to figure out how she could prove herself. She remembered the description of Sima that Kuro had told her before, and wondered if he'd been in the tavern before, before she'd arrived in Nova. Everyone came here at least once didn't they? She'd come here enough to know that the man working tonight was here often as well. She looked at Kuro, threw back the rest of her drink and slammed down the glass on the counter.
Prove myself? Whatever you say pretty boy. Serenity winked at him, putting all of her faith in this bartender. She stood from her stool, and waltzed over to the entrance of the bar, walking behind it. The man protested, but she pushed him against the wall and began questioning him.
I am going to ask you something very simple, and I need you to answer me just the same, okay? Her voice was sickly sweet, but laced with control, and her hazel eyes looked up at him with a serious tone, hidden within a sexual gaze. To anyone else, it just looked like the bartender was getting lucky.
What do you know about a man, he may not have been here much, but he has long black hair, and bright blue eyes. Kind of sticks out. She was assuming, exaggerating her knowledge, because he really hadn't given her much to go with, but she was already taking chances. While she spoke, she ran her hands up and down his arms, pressing her chest to his. "Uh-uh I don't know. A lot of people come through here..." He was clearly distracted, she she had to try harder. Serenity lowered her hand to a more sensitive area and threatened to hurt him.
You may want to think harder... She had nothing else to tell him, and she cursed Kuro's crappy description skills.
"Uhm! I think He may have been here before. He came here a few days ago! With um, with a girl. Hard to forget her, long blonde hair, purple eyes." He was stuttering, nervous. Serenity released where she had been holding, and stepped up to kiss him softly.
Thank you darling. Another round by the way. She stepped away from him and made her way back to her stool, and Kuro, smiling. Sitting back down she thanked the man for her new drink, and he hurried away from her.
He was here a few days ago with some blonde bimbo. Purple eyes. If we can't find him, she seems to be easy to remember. Apparently, she's a looker. Her voice was filled with sarcasm, but she was proud of herself, and hoped he would be happy. She took a sip of her now fifth drink and glanced up at him softly, awaiting his reaction.

Kuro watched as she got up so abruptly. He could tell exactly what she was doing the minute she began talking to the bartender. He only smirked, he was pleased with this response. In Kuro's eyes she did not have skills, other than a minor bit of persuasion. He did like the information she would bring him, but he was more interested in how she played into his hands. She was so eager to prove herself, Kuro didn't even have to ask her to do what he wanted her too. Regardless he was going to tell her a way of proving her 'skills' which was what she had technically done. However what this told Kuro is that she was willing to do what he wanted. He wanted her to prove herself, and she did it. Had she waited to do so, then he knew she would be harder to work down and manipulate. However her eagerness to prove herself made it easier to assert a likeness of sort for his approval.
Kuro stopped smirking when she began to head back, wanting to keep his neutrality in front of her. Kuro was being rude, and she was eager to prove herself, this meant he could get her to seek his approval. His assumptions were proven right when he looked into her eyes, he couldn't help but get a devilish smirk. The glare she gave him was of a person seeking approval. "Good job, maybe you've got some useful talents after all" The talents she still seemed to lack didn't matter anymore, by giving her the approval she sought after, he would hopefully be able to keep getting her to do what he wanted. His response was a way to keep this going, it was not a full response of approval, this would hopefully keep her looking for full approval from Kuro. So far she was playing into his hands, but only time would tell if this would continue. Despite no skills, someone that did what he wanted was valuable, and she could surprise him, as long as she could keep up with him that was.
Abruptly after the hint of approval towards her he returned to his neutrality. "Purple eyes? " That was what Kuro got out of the information. Thinking that Sima could easily kill him, he wanted to make Sima's life horrible before it was over. This meant the purple eyed female, which Kuro could easily deduct Sima had a thing for, would be the priority in making him suffer. "So, what do you want from me?" He spoke absently.

A slow smile crept on her face, and Serenity worked to hide it, deciding her usual persona, the one she used back home, would work nicely here. She sat straighter and nodded. That's what he said. Purple eyes, and long blonde hair. Not one to forget compared to him. She was curious why he was looking for this man, but questioning him would be a bad idea at this point, not if she was going to stay and work with this guy.
She smiled yet again when he so quickly jumped to what she wanted. He'd probably known from the start there was something she wanted. You seem to know your way around this world, and you clearly know how to protect yourself. She gestured to the sword. I would like to know how to as well. I want you to teach me how to fight. As well as to, well, how can I put this? I want to be feared. Her accent added to a certain chill that was already in her tone, and the look of pure determination and excitement in her eyes would give anyone goosebumps, but she knew not him.

Kuro was happy with this, she wanted to learn from him. Kuro had to make certain objectives were made though. Kuro knew the first objective would have to be to bed her. This was most in part to see if he could, it was too see what he could get her to do. This was a way too of getting Serenity some sort of fondness for him. This was a test, like usual, and a way for him to advance his own agendas on her. Kuro didn't lie to himself however either, she was attractive, and he probably would enjoy this, luckily the blood throwing through his veins made it quite difficult to get disease.
Kuro leaned in and whispered in her ear. His voice had a charming appeal to it, yet he was still calm, with no embarrassment, and a feel that seemed almost like a dare. "I'll give you what you want If you give me I want," He spoke with a lying undertone, he was also not afraid to place his hands upon Serenity. He placed his hand on her leg, obviously implying what he wanted.
When he pulled away he removed his hands from her, and awaited a response.
Despite this Kuro was afraid if she agreed to his proposition, he was rather good at keeping this from showing. He was not afraid of sleeping with her, but he was afraid of what he had to do to achieve this. Remove his power, release his blade. Kuro knew the blade wouldn't accept this woman as a host, as far as he could tell she had nothing to offer it, but if she was to somehow get a hold of it, she would know of it's other worldly powers.

Serenity gave a little laugh, and it sounded like it was full of sarcasm. The laugh of someone who was used to getting what they wanted. I thought you said I was trash? She was eyeing him playfully, admitting to herself that despite his attire, his built was rather attractive and his face was cute. She decided she'd play along, if it meant she got what she wanted, she'd gone to far worse lengths than sleeping with an attractive man. Serenity reached out and let her finger trace down his chest, her eyes just narrow slits. With one more swig of her drink she spoke.
I think... that we, have a deal. She leaned forward and kissed him lightly before standing and moving a few feet away and waiting for him, knowing they couldn't stay there. She had a certain sway to her walk, that she'd long ago learnt was attractive to people. Despite the amount she drank, it hadn't affected her walking at all, only her moods and the way she acted in a slight sense. She had a feeling this deal could go either way, but she also had a feeling she would remember this night this time, and she could tell just by looking at him, that she would definitely enjoy it.

He looked at her as she commented on what he thought she was. This was good, the more she thought, the more she cared on what he thought the better. "You've proved yourself haven't you?" By asking her he would get her opinion, and he could adjust his thinking by how she answered. Kuro looked into her eyes as she traced his chest. She was certainly intriguing, and he knew just by the way her posture was that he now got to spend a night with her. Seeing her naked was certainly going to be interesting. The way she spoke after bored him a little, he already knew her answer, yet she want to play it off so playfully. He knew he had to bare it anyways, at least it was better then having a dead fish for an erotic partner.
When she kissed him he did not think much of it, it was a female, trying to be attractive. She certainly didn't have to try very hard, so it confused him as to why she would try at all. Kuro did the obvious thing when a female walked in front of him. Of course the way she walked caught hit attention. He thought this was a good sign, it had to take effort to walk like that no? He didn't really get the whole erotic walk thing, but if she was trying to do it for him then it meant that manipulating her would be easier. He needed her to think that anyways.
