History: Before Zane was born his father had passed away while his mother was pregnant with both him and his sister. Not even know that his birth would change the course of his household for the better and the worst because of him.
Upon the day Zane and his sister were born merely an hour in between them it was a great day of celebration, cause not only were a new D'Avranches born into the world but there was now a young baron and young baroness. One to carry on the family name as the heir and the other to marry off into another family to raise the families' profile.
Since the day of their birth their mother donned on her two children, having decided to return to the family home to raise her children, only bring them to court when she had to attend to business there. From the moment, they could start walking she got tutors to come in to teach them as much as possible wanting to get the both of them a head start on their futures.
During the years that past Zane and Yuki were inseparable. Taking that studies they could together minus when they took they naps at different times. If anyone would pass by the garden in the warmer seasons the two of them could be seen playing together sometimes dressed in a very similar matter. Sadly this all came to an end during one horrible winter, because of they young age the both of them took ill. Not wanting them to become worst their mother kept them to their room only allowing healer in to attend them.
Both Zane and his sister Yuki were ill for a week. During the night unknown to Zane, his sister Yuki had passed away since she wasn't strong enough to overcome the illness. His mother was in the room with them at the time it happened and was devastated to have lost her beloved daughter. Thinking quickly she switched them from their bed. All her hopes and dreams for her daughter wasn't going to end there since she wanted to raise her daughter to be like her and the Arch Duchess Severine.
Upon waking the next Zane was still in a feverish state because of the great recovery would survive and just needed bed rest. During this time, his mother asked to left alone to mourn the death of his 'son' as she got the burial preparation done in private. No one questioned the reason since they understood that it was perfectly normal given that she lost her son at a young age with no heir to the family now.
From that day on she started to call Zane Yuki, even when he mumbled that mother is mistaken that he was Zane she kept insisting that it was Zane that died knowing how to close the children were. Once 'Yuki' was better she started to groom the young child into that of a future Baroness to help run the family land in the future.
Zane still kept insisting that his mother was wrong that he wasn't Yuki even after a few months has passed. Each time his mother would set him down and keep reassuring him that Zane would keep living in his heart but he was Yuki and needed to accept that fact that her brother was dead. During one of her visits to the Nova court Yuki ran into one of the stable hands a girl named Amelia who she took a liking to, and would spend time with her during her visits and in between her lessons. Amelia is one of the only people Zane had ever told the truth about his true gender to even with everyone else calling him by Yuki.
In those few months, Zane's hair grew to a reasonable length that could make him look like Yuki. During those months not only did Lorraine groom Zane to be Yuki, she almost train him to speak in a soft feminine matter. Since Yuki had a betrothal she couldn't change that fact. Since neither family children had even met it would work as she had planned for her now beloved daughter.
Over the years Zane began to develop into that of a young woman, having gotten to meet his betrothal husband on a few occasions since he had fully come to accept himself as Yuki. There was some gaps in his memory of what truly happened and would ask his mother but she would tell him not to worry about it since it wasn't anything to worry about.
During the years, she raised Zane to be a strong independent young lady. Not knowing that this would become a downfall in his adventurous personality. The tutors that she hired not only gave Zane lessons on dancing, mathematics, writing, cooking, sewing, sing, musical instrument playing mainly the harp. Zane also received lessons on horseback riding, how to run a household along with governing the land, proper hosting and anything else that would help Zane run an estate without a man at her side. She did have him take a few lessons on basic swordsmanship but quickly had him drop them realizing if anyone got too close they might learn the truth of what she had done.
When it came close to the time that a young woman would have her first bleeding meaning that she was ready to marry off, Lorraine faked it so that she could start Yuki could start being prepared for the life of a housewife. She even went as far and gotten a special corset made to make it seem as if Zane had breast if he wasn't wearing the corset she found others for him to appear to have breast.
Turning the age of 16 Zane was ready to marry off, it was when he started faking being ill. Each month doing whatever it took to keep the doctors puzzled. He even stops eating to make it seem like he had a lost of appetite. This continued on until he was 18, his mother having enough of it decided to marry him off weak or not the wedding been delayed long enough.
The day of the wedding, Zane knew that it was his last chance to escape and have a better life. After dismissing his handmaids, saying he needed just some time alone. Knocking on the door, he told the guard his mother had stationed at his door that he needed some fresh air.
Once outside, Zane saw his chance, he took off running having a good head start of being 3 steps ahead of his guard. The people that were still trickling in stopped and stared as Zane made his way, some pointing, other shouting no one knowing or ever having seen a bride running away from her own wedding.
Zane was able to escape, finding a marketplace he sold his dress, along with his jewels giving him enough money for some clothes with enough left over. After some time later he met Kail who took him helping him to understand that things some things were not right when it came to people of the lower class. She learned skills on how to keep house, fend for herself in terms of cooking and even became a somewhat of a descent person.
That all ended when during hell fire as it been dubbed he was notice by some guards and returned to the castle. During the first few days of him being back in the castle his mother gave him a ring that changed his life, it was an illegal gender bender ring.
It took a lot of time for Yuki to learn to accept the facts, her mind was in a daze as hormonal imbalance in her body started to shift. For the first few months she would end up in trouble as her body adjusted and tried to find a balance, she even sneaked out of the castle only to end up almost being kidnapped if it wasn't for Diamond and Hawkeye saving her she wouldn't know where she would have ended up.
Another time in the middle of the winter she considered ended her life then and there when she met Adrain. He listened to her story and opened up a new world to her the world of magic. He helped her study and train for the exams at the Arch of Ages for her to become a Mage in training.
Not much else happened in her life minus standing to Lady Sev during the trial that was meant for Roland and helping her family business expand.
