After going to the Moon Temple for some info on the gods, Kail suckered himself to escort a upscaled Victorian damsel. He felt bad for the woman and desided to take her to the Gallows Inn. Since all fated were given a free night to stay at the place. The blond kept the redhead close as it seemed she was close to a mental breakdown. As her world was ripped away from here and then crushed to bits. But she was from his world although from a different time, it did not matter though. She was in trouble and most people here would not give a damn and just throw her to the lions. More like in this world dire lions, since it was a fantasy world. None the less he had to do something as Mysteria would have done shit. None the less, Kail also kept watch from thieves or other pickpockets as they got to the Gallows Inn. "I have to say sorry on the location, this inn is run by the Moon Temple people. And they know a good deal on us fated. So there kind enough to give a free night" he said as they were in a not a savory area as it was in the lower class area. He hoped that Serenity could earn some money and maybe stay at the Bloody Mary as it was in a better location.

Serenity inspected their surroundings, her eyes wide at what she found. She'd never been in such crude area before. In her head, she was imagining this place to be the slums of London, the areas she dared never step foot in. Her mind was having trouble coping with the situation in general, simply thankful to have found someone from her world at all, regardless of the time period. Normally she would have regarded him with disdain and shrugged him off and away from her, but now, now she knew she needed someone like him around- she had no idea what people here were like. As she thought that, she saw someone who was clearly not human walk by as if it were completely normal. She felt like she was going to pass out. This simply could not be happening to her.

Don't apologize please, I'm just happy you know where I can go. Otherwise I would have been completely lost here. She was surprised at her own words- she'd now thanked him more than once. What was wrong with her? He was below her! Not anymore he's not... Her mind was pissing her off. Serenity looked around more, taking in the place she was to sleep for the night. It was more than a step down from her home, and it took all she and not to complain.

Kail gave a nod of his head and escorted Serenity inside and they would hear various voices in drunken revelry. As some were drunk singing some drinking songs or some kind of shanty. Since most people will give us looks of distain" he said and spots his perfered table and takes the redhead over to it. "Anyway, this is my perfered table. So please at least sit down and take a rest. While I talk to the inn keeper about a room for you" he said and left Serenity's grasp and pulls out a chair for her. The seat he chose for her had her back to the wall, so that no one would sneak up behind her. Plus gave Serenity a nice view of most of the inn. The blond hoped that no one would approach this lady right now until she got her barrings. Or use to the world in general and even he wondered what she would be able to do for a living. Since a socialite that was not of a noble family or a high end merchant in this era. Would not survive for long in a unforgiving world.

Serenity sat where he had shown her and and nodded her thanks to his words. He was only looking out for her, her was helping. But why?

Why are you being so kind to me? I'm clearly not that nice of a person myself, so why? She looked at him curiously, arching an eyebrow skillfully. Her tone had taken on that of her former self, attempting to take control of the only thing she could- herself. She crossed her arms, after setting her umbrella on the table. She eyes the man carefully, actually taking him in this time, not just his outfit. He had a nice face, close to that of a noblemen she'd met once in her past. His hair was certainly something to be remembered, it was quite long and very blonde. Rare, where she was from. Men never let their hair go past their shoulders. "Please give me a minute and I will answer your question" said Kail leaving the table and goes to the bar and explained to the inn keeper about the situation. The inn keeper gives a nod and then requested some food and drink to be brought over to the table. And was told that it would take a bit and the blond walks back over to Serenity and sits down. "Now to answer your question, you are a very beautiful damsel in distress that needs to be saved. But in all seriousness though Serenity, this world is unforgiving and it will kill you. When I got dropped in here....I did feel small, alone, and terrorfied. You have no one to rely on or give you a helping hand. I am sure your feeling these things as well. I guess I want to help because well no one really cares about us fated" he said and then pauses as two bowls of what looked like a hearty beef stew. There was also a bottle of one of the better wines that they had.

"I guess overall, and sorry if I sound selfish but I wanted someone to relate with. I ordered some food, I was not sure if you were hungry or not but, with everything going on you might need some refreshment" he said trying to help the redhead out to the best of his ability. His heart would be in the right place since he was trying to be the nice guy.

Serenity looked up as he left, giving a slightly pouty look. When he returned she looked directly at him. She arched her eye brow yet again as he called her beautiful, stunned that he would be so bold to address her as such. He used her first name, rather than Miss. Caine as she was so used to. This world was full of surprises, and clearly not as well mannered as her own. Her eyes perked up when he said the world would kill her, and her heart dropped to her stomach, believing every word.

I don't blame you, for wanting to relate to someone. That seems quite understandable in a world such as this- it seems to crude, so unwelcoming. Why ever would someone want to live here? She spoke incredulously, shaking her head. When the food arrived, she looked down, feeling her stomach instantly feel like a pit of emptiness. She gratefully started eating, for a moment, forgetting her manners.

I feel so lowly here, it's strange. She was so desperately trying to regain her former personality, needing to feel in power.

Since he knew that she would be rather thirsty and needed a drink. He then hears the redhead not bealiving that she was doing things that she would not be doing normally. "Perhaps a fall from grace can change you, either for the better or worse. I don't know if we could rise to any kind of power to have any kind of respect by the normal people of Nova" he said and poured himself a glass of the wine. "I'm sure that years later we will remember these days and laugh at them" he said and drank a bit of the wine. Kail was not sure how to take this conversation next. But desided to let Serenity take the conversation to whatever she wanted. Since this girl was going to need to vent with what was going on her mind.

She looked up at him and took the wine gratefully. She definitely could use it. A fall from grace... Indeed that could be one way to put it- though I assure you sir, I fell from grace years ago. She knew he wouldn't know what she was talking about, but she didn't mind. In her world she got what she wanted by playing dirty, one way or another. Any form of grace she had left, aside from her appearance and the way walked, had fallen from her long ago.

So tell me, what is the future like? In our world. Please tell me men aren't still foul beast who lurk at women in the night. Oh! And tell me they make more comfortable corsets! She was curious now, letting her mind run, well, she thought run wild. She took a sip from her wine, and a thought crossed her mind. Would she be getting drunk tonight? Well it certainly could only help her situation now, couldn't it.

Kail was not sure how to answer that remark from Serenity as he was still ignorant to somethings in the adult world in any reality. But still he thought that the red head across from him, still had some grace. Although he was talking about her personality then anything else. But when she started to talk about the future of earth he was not sure how to answer. But at this point really care "If you mean the Whitechapel murders that were being done by Jack The Ripper. There still unsolved to my date" he said and then had to laugh at the mentioning of corsets and if they got more comfortable. "Now I have no idea on that, but there in no longer in use in my era. I think they went out of style" he said and carefully drank the wine. Since he did not want to get too buzzed from the alcohol. But since most people did not boil the water. Most brewed drinks would be safe to drink.

"Normally I would not drink any kind of alcohol or ales. But since most water should be trusted until you boil it to kill the germs and other kinds of nasty things. That little bit of knowlage came from the future, we've been able to take down most sicknesses and ailements. Heck we are able to soar into the skies and even to the moon" he said not caring too much on the matter if he made a time paradox or crap like that.

Serenity looked at him, curiously. She knew nothing of his time, yet he seemed to know all about hers. Did they learn about such things in schools? About mass murders and death? Such a dreadful thing to teach children! She'd noted that the boy before her, was indeed still a young man. It unnerved her that the man wrecking havoc back in her time was never to be caught, never to be punished, but she decided not to dwell- she was no longer apart of that time now was she?

Serenity looked at him incredulously. Out of style? Why that's insane! Corsets are what keep the women form beautiful. It helps our posture, the way we walk, how we sit, and even how much we can talk, depending on the purpose! To be out of style... Why woman must be all over the place! Slouching, shuffling! I simply cannot believe it. It was a trifle thing, sure, but it was something she was educated in. It felt good to speak of something she was well versed in.

When he spoke of the water, she listened carefully, not wanting to die over something stupid, like getting sick because of bad water. Once again, I thank you for your help Sir, it is most kind of you. I'm sure most people by now would have tossed me to the side, hell, I would have tossed me to the side! She let out a tinkering laugh and sipped more of her wine.

"Well again, there was a reason and I don't remember it. I'm not a full historian, I know some things from some books among other things" said Kail as he finished the stew and pondered a bit before taking the conversation back again. "Well......every rose has there thorns, I just looked through it. Again I just don't want to see someone in trouble. Or someone that's not familure with this world end up in a very dire fate" he said and then poured another glass of wine. And then refills Serenity's cup as well with the red liquid. "I honestly....want to be rich and have all kinds of treasures in this world. Heck I slayed a dragon, mind you with some help. But whats next I save a princess, or find some kind of forbidden treasure" he said with a laugh since that was the next level of progression. This was a fantasy world after all and that was bound to happen. Although he half way considered the woman across from him to almost be like one.

Serenity smiled and nodded her thanks for the wine. She took a few more bites of the quickly cooling stew, saving its taste to her memory. She didn't know when she would be able to eat like this again. After today she would have to start a new life, one that consisted of working, serving and patience. She had done none of them, but she had to try. Finishing the stew, she washed it down with a larger gulp of wine then intended.

There are dragons in this world? That's insane. When would she stop thinking everything was insane? Probably when she witnessed it herself. But it was all hard to take in, magic, dragons, time travel. She for some reason didn't doubt he would go on to save a princess or find treasure. He seemed courageous enough for the task.

So royalty do exist in this world? Rather than a government? At least this was something she could start to relate to, and work towards- being back at the top. If this mans plan was to become rich and live the happy life in this world, then perhaps she should stick around with him a little longer.

"I did not slay it on my own though. I was working with several others in a group, but I was the one that landed the final blow on the beast. I'm turning most of the dragon into armor and a few other things" said Kail as he drank a bit more. Then Serenity asked about royalty exsisting rather then a government "Yeah, I might have seen the king once, but that's about it. I don't know too much on King Noku to be honest" he said and placed his cup down and pondered a bit on getting treasure. Perhaps going to the library or listening to stories from people. He did remembering hearing about the bone cathedral out there and perhaps held things there. With the unknown creature running about there. Or at least that's what he heard from some bards and storytellers in the area. "I'm going to spend a few more days to relax and then I am going out to find some treasure" he said and was not sure how the red head was going to take to this.

Serenity nodded, taking in this information. If there was a king, a royal family of any sort, she could somehow build her way back up to the top. Perhaps she wouldn't have to live this life after all. At the mention of treasure, her eyes slid back to his, perking an eyebrow in the process.

Treasure? I mean, I should have known that would exist here, but why are you going to find it? She wanted to tag along, but as she knew nothing of this world or how it worked, let alone how to protect herself, she knew she would only hinder the mission.
