Kail was in the Gallows Inn to get away from things at his house. He had two very strong women and one rather dainty girl living at the place. He was not really able to get some things thought out about. Currently he had his day pack then his traveling backpack. He had sharpend a pencile to write some thoughts down and draw a few other things out. The blond had a few pieces of hand crafted pieces of jewelery he made but did not sell that well or people caring. And remembered that he was a fated. So the majority did not give a crap. As of right now, he was drinking down a sweet wine. Since he did not get the water purify spell that he desperately needed. Since he was slightly worried about his health as he had been drinking a lot of alcoholic drinks. Not heavy but it would build over time. "I need to make a lot of money for what I want to do" he said and then drank his wine while musing in his own thoughts.

"Now that is a face of someone who is deep in thought." Calls a voice in a tongue not native to this world. Rivers sat down next to Kail after greeting him in English, American accented English to be specific. "You're the fated from a while ago, if you are still alive I suppose that means you have adapted pretty well." He continues, not switching to the Novarian tongue, he had a guess about what world Kail was from and he wanted to see if he was right.
"I would like to have a bit of a chat with you about your time in this world and possibly to make you an offer." He suggests with a smile as he waves one of the waitresses over and gets a mug of ale. Rivers was still in his brown coat and his handsome, hawkish features gave him an air that that made him seem clever.
"Thank you miss," He thanks as he takes a swig from the mug and pays her. He looks around and shakes his head. "The quality of the girls just isn't the same as at the Mary." He admits with a sigh.

Kail slightly startled when Rivers showed up at his table and was slightly surprised that he was speaking his native language from his world. "Yeah I am......your an odd case though. I know that your from the same timeline or as Aria. But the same time you speak English from my world. Have you been dimentional hopping before this" the blond asked and placed his notebook back into his bag. "I had to fight and survive when I got dropped into this world. Right now I am trying to figure out what to do. I don't really have any guidance on what to do. But I know that money equals power and I need to make a lot of it" he said and then hears Rivers about making him and offer and was about to answer before Rivers got his mug of ale. That and speaking on the quality of women around here compared to the Bloody Mary. He had to laugh slightly and figured that Rivers had pissed off the owner or something.
"So whats this offer? Are you making me an offer that I can not refuse" said Kail as he imataded the don from the Godfather movies. He was not sure if this guy would get it. But it did sound funny and hoped to get a chuckle at least.

Rivers smiles as his guess about Kail proves to be right on the money. "Ahh~ so you know I'm from the same timeline as Aira, well that'll make things easier. Yes, I am indeed a pretty old hand at this world hopping thing at this point, I think this is my 8th." He says with a grin, though the did not seem old enough to have live 8 different lives.
Though when Kail tells him about the trouble he's been having Rivers nods sympathetically. "Yeah, I know what you mean. I had trouble adapting the first few times it happened to me as well. I got used to it eventually, but up till that point, it was pretty rough. If you want my advice get good at a craft that is not fighting, combat can pay well in the short run, but it makes enemies and can get you killed pretty easily." Rivers admits with a distant sigh, he remembered his first world shift being quite unpleasant...freakin prophet.
He blinks and breaks from his reminiscence as Kail asks him if he'll make him an offer he couldn't refuse. "Hahaha,do I look like I'm wearing an Italian suit and bowler hat?" He asks while laughing. "Well I won't deny that I am trying to recruit you for a fairly shady organization." He admits with a smile, still talking in English, this was probably the best way to have a discreet conversation, though it was pretty convenient that the Fated all seemed to magically pick up Novarian.
"Well why don't we hang out a bit before I actually extend the offer, I'd also like to know a little bit about what you can do." He says with a grin. "But the crux of it would probably amount to...what's a good analogy...did you ever play any of those RPG things?"

Kail had raised an eyebrow to Rivers when he mentioned that he did this 8 times "Well damn man...." he said and then thinks over what the man said on a craft. He did pick up a few things already and he already understood music and could play most instruments. "I've been working on my creative side as of late. I know how to play most instruments. Hell jury rigged a lightning gem to power a speaker from my world and play my electric guitar. So I could technicly work as a bard. But I can draw rather well and I have taken my hand at doing some crafting" he said and drank a bit more of his wine. The blond had to laugh at the fact that Rivers got his joke somehow. But it seemed that things got serious as Rivers was trying to recruit him for some kind of organization for shady stuff. Then gets into RPG stuff and Kail had to sigh a bit as he was the type to be all over the place. "I'm starting to look like a Jack of all Trades in a sense. I know some magic, I know how to use some weapons, and I can be sneaky if I have to.....but I tend to have some bad luck at some spots" he said and knew that this was not likely the best answer he could give.
"The spells I have are some kind of summon creature spell and some kind of ice blade buff spell. I came from Earth or a Earth that does not have magic. So the magic area is not as strong as some of the more physical aspects. I do want to learn more though" he said and finished the rest of his wine and places the cup down on the table.

Rivers nods and looks a little surprised as Kail mentions an electic guitar, he didn't think that kinda thing would go over well in this day and age...but then again Shade brought Rock'n Roll to the continent of Faith so who was he to say. "That's a pretty good resume, I can play most things with a string, but I am primarily a writer and a story teller." Rivers admits as he leaves back and finishes off his mug of ale.
As Kail explains his abilities in an RPG style Rivers laughs again. "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that. I just wanted to use it as a reference point. So you know how RPGs have various guilds? I'm recruiting you for something like that, assuming you can keep your mouth shut and are willing to get some basic training." Rivers explains.
Then he raises a hand and closes his eyes. A moment later Rivers opens his eyes and tilts his head a bit. "Well well, I never thought we'd find a diamond in the rough here. I can offer you something just as good as coin for your services, I can offer you trianing, in magic to be specific." Rivers says with a smile, but then he picks up the empty wine bottle next to Kail's glass and pours wine into his mug then raises it for a *clink* with a grin.

Post by Serenity Caine on Mar 12, 2015 23:36:18 GMT
Serenity had been staying at the Gallows in for a few days now, preferring it over that of the forest floor. Her body wasn't made for such living spaces, rather, something larger and more comfortable- but she would take what she would get. She had just gotten herself some wine of her own, and turned at the counter, her eyes studying the room. After a few moments, a blonde head caught her attention. Kail? She swiftly made her way across the room, not having much hesitance this time, and walked so she was in front of his table. She would have just bona and sat down, but as she made her way over, she noticed another man sitting with him. She wasn't in Kails line of visions just yet, not unless he looked over to the right. She didn't know the other man, so she didn't want to just interrupt.
She wasn't used to being aware of how others might feel, so the fact that she didn't just waltz over, was quite strange. After a moment of thought, she gave up on her slight worry and walked over anyway. Whoever this man was, it didn't really matter- she wanted to say hello to Kail. Serenity took a chair from another table, and sat down at theirs.
Good day Mr. Lancaster. Her voice was silky smooth, and refined, as though she hasn't been camping in the forest for a few weeks at a time. Her shimmering red hair was down today, falling in soft waves to her hips, and her hazel eyes were curious. She had a small smile on her face as she greeted the men, waiting to know who the other man was.

Kail looked a bit sheepish "I just liked listening to music and one day I just got tired and I wanted to play it" he just rubbed the back of his head. As he misunderstood what Rivers was getting at and chuckled a bit. But it seemed that this guild was a rather major underworld like group. He knew that just doing nothing would not give him any peace nor make his postion in life better. Then watches Rivers do something and was in amazement on something and offering him to learn magic. "I got nothing to lose, sign me up" said Kail in English as he takes his cup to clink River's glass. "So what was the thing you sensed anyway" the blond asked with a curious look on his face. He did not know if this was the right way to go but this world sucked and he wanted a small amount of payback.
"Well Serenity its been awhile, order whatever you want and I'll pay for it" said Kail as the very beautiful redhead had come by for a visit. He was not expecting to run into her again but was ok with it. Since it been a while since they had seen each other. Kail then motions for the closest bar maid to come by to get some more drinks. "Damn it I want a soda so bad....." he sighed as the blond was craving one since it been a few months since he had one.

Rivers grins after Kail finishes his comments and suddenly places an arm around his shoulder. "That's the spirit kiddo, well you'll still need to meet Boss and get her approval, but I imagine you'll pass, then we can get to teaching you the fun stuff." He says with a grin and a swig of his drink.
Though the revelry is broken as he sees a woman come down the stares. Damn, I take back what I said about the girls around here. He thinks to himself with an appreciable look.
He raises a mug in greeting as he walks over, and he starts to figure out how to approach this as she sits down...and then she talks to Kail. Damn! Couldn't be that lucky I guess. He sighs inwardly, all while maintaining a pleasant and sociable smile on his face. Rivers mask was second to none and he nudges Kail a bit. "Well now, why didn't you tell me you had such a lovely lady friend." He chides in English as he gives Ser a dazzling smile.
"My name is Rivers, Ms. Serenity is it? I am one of Killian here's less savory acquaintances." he introduces in a joking tone, now speaking in Novarian, obviously assuming she did not understand his earlier comment. He reaches over and picks up the pitcher, pouring himself more wine, and when he puts it back Kail would find himself with a small bag of coins in his hand, clearly enough to cover drinks for all three of them and show Kail's "generosity".

Serenity smiled, and showed him her wine. Oh, I'm quite alright, but thank you Mr. Lancaster. She turned to face the other man, now knowing him as Rivers. His comment was not lost on her ears, but she was still adjusting the second language.
He probably failed to mention me, as I do not appear often. I am what you would call, a wandering spirit of sorts- though not by my choosing. She smiled back at him, sarcasm lightly lacing her tone. Once she fully understood what he'd said the second time, she nodded.
Yes, my name is Serenity Caine. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Rivers. She took a sip of her wine, her full red lips blending nicely with the deep red of the wine in her glass. It had come to her attention that she didn't know the same people that Kail did. Serenity smiled at them both, and leaned back in her seat slightly, resting her arms at the table, moving her finger tip along the lip of her glass.
So what brings you two gentlemen here?

Kail looks over at Rivers and wanted to sigh a bit, but could not at this situation. "Well you never asked and two. Why should I tell you if I know a beautiful woman, I mean don't you have that Aria girl" he said when another bottle of wine came over. He then pours himself another glass and then looks over at Serenity "Well Serenity I don't have an answer to that....I mean we are both trying to make our way through this world" he said not sure how to answer to what Serenity said. Since he was not able to dish back on sarcasim. One art that he sure as hell mastered too much. He then heard Serenity asking him about what they were doing. "We were considering trying to a performance somewhere after talking for awhile. We are both talented in music" he said not sure if he should mention the guild he was joining. But it was a slight truth since he and Rivers could play a musical instrument.

"Serenity, a beautiful name, though I must say that I have found woman of your beauty tend to create more discord than peace." He replies with a polite and charming smile. Though he turns back to Kail and replies in English. "Relax, I was just trying to be friendly.
Though when Kail asks around Aria Rivers expression turns to one of horror. "Boss...and me? Kail I would never lay my hands on a kid like her, that's really unsettling." he says genuinely taken aback. "For that, you can buy me another drink," he says as he pours more wine out of the empty bottle.
As Kail attempts to explain what they were doing Rivers looks at him then looks at Serenity and then replies simply. "Well I was going to try and talk him into chasing some skirts now that we were through with the business portion of our discussion." He admits and then thinks for a bit. "That being said, I didn't think we'd run into anyone like you, let alone that you would know Kail."
"Well I suppose that means we have better companionship than we deserve, eh ol' buddy?" Rivers asks with a grin as he drains his glass. It was impressive that he still seemed so lucid after everything he'd drank.

I suppose you're right Sir. She took the final sip of her wine, and place her glass down silently on the table. Her eyes were on Rivers, as he spoke to her. A sly smile spread on her face. I wish I could disagree with you, Mr. Rivers. But I cannot. She pushed some of her burgundy locks out of her face, and looked at them both. The planed on playing music together? That could be interesting. She kept the fact that she could sing, to herself.
She was a little lost in terms of the girl they spoke of, but she didn't really care. Most girls in this world only bothered her anyway. Serenity's attention was caught once more when Rivers brought up "Skirt chasing". A perfect carved eyebrow arched high into her face. Any one like me? And what exactly do you mean by that, Mr. Rivers? She knew damn well what he meant, but she was testing out her fear factor. She'd gotten better, but she knew she still needed work. So Kail was going skirt chasing, was he? She didn't understand why it would be absurd for someone like her to know Kail, and she stated as such.
Why wouldn't I know Mr. Lancaster? After all, we come from a very similar place. She glanced at him, remembering him help her when she first arrived.

"Well.....whatever on that, but it seems you don't need me to get you a drink anyway Rivers. Your warping it in some how. But whatever, lets see if they got something really good behind the counter or something" Kail said as he watched Rivers shamelessly hitting on Serenity and he sighed a bit. When he mentioned skirt chasing he looked a bit insulted. "Please....I'm not going to do that kind of thing right now. I just know better" due to the fact that he knew more warrior women then a normal city girl. Only exceptions to this rule were Serenity and Yuki. Then with Serenity saying that why she did not know of him. "We come from the same universe but different era's of time" he said and then stopped his drinking for now as the blond did not want to get too plastered.
Kail goes into his bag and pulls something out of it. It looked like a bracelet that had some intricate designs on it. The material looked like it was made out of bone or ivory. He then places it on the table and looks over at the redhead. "Hey Serenity, you remember when I said that I killed a dragon? Well this bracelet I made is from its bones. I thought you might like it" he said offering the piece to her.

Ahhh~ young love. Rivers thinks to himself in amusement as he watches the pair and chuckles, in truth this was fun, probably the most fun he'd had since ending up here. One often forgets, in the grand majesty of searching that simply spending time with friends and people is often much better. "I simply meant I hadn't expected to meet a beauty such as you here." He replies with a perfect smile and level voice that made it impossible to tell what he was thinking. Though when he hears about the dragon Rivers grins and begins to softly sing: I sing the song of the warrior Kail Whom for his love pledged not to fail Into danger he led his party for the fair Lady Serenity
And upon the hero's route He came to city with dragon about He set upon the beast with a shimmering blade With without a thought of entering the Glades.
The battle raged for seven nights to save the villagers from this plight. And on the eighth day the hero slew That awful terror as if flew
And from its bone he made a treasure to give to his lovely lover. At the end of the song he stopped, still smiling softly, a couple of people had heard him sing and turns to look, but by enlarge the song had been drowned out by the tavern's noise. "It needs some work, but there's potential there." He muses before breaking from his revelry and looking at the pair again. "So now I'm curious, what is your relationship?" He asks, his demeanor becoming more confident and less playful.
