House Warming Party

[Roxanne]

After dropping her things in room, Roxanne looked around Haven a bit for some towels and headed off to the hot springs that Rivers had explained was part of their new home. "I've got the towels! Party in the hot springs!" she called out, loud enough to echo off the wooden walls.
She found the set of double doors easily enough, they were carved with steam signs which she thought was a nice touch. Stepping through, the half demon found herself outside in a private springs. There was a natural rock and cliff 'wall' around the area, separating it from the rest of nature and providing some seclusion. The trees were swaying in a gentle breeze, both atop the cliff and the few left alone amongst the pools themselves, of which there were four secluded here. Each pool was fairly large, natural steps had been carved into the rocks leading into each. Stars could be seen above the open area and between the trees. Night birds and insects chirped in the surrounding forest, far enough away to not be overly loud. Steam rose from the pools and the whole atmosphere was very relaxing. Roxanne blinked in surprise. "Wow, I wasn't expecting this at all," she murmured to herself.

Stepping out onto a sort of wooden patio, she found a set of shelves to one side on which she placed the towels. Roxanne then slipped off her black dress, having left her boots in her room, and placed it on a shelf as well. This was followed by her underthings, as she had no issues with modesty. She stretched, happy to be out of the restrictive clothing and unpinned her hair as she did so, allowing the crimson strands to fall to their natural length which brushed the back of her thighs. Her skin almost glowed in the moonlight as she made her way into the closest pool, sinking in chest deep, her hair pooling around her to somewhat cover her breasts, and a low moan escaping as she closed her eyes. The heat from the springs was amazing and it seemed as if it was already turning her muscles into mush, which until this moment she hadn't even realized were strained. "Oh this is aaahhhh-mazing," she sighed, sinking a bit lower to rest her head against the side of the pool.

[Serenity Caine]

Serenity was right behind Roxy, eager to feel the hot water against her skin and sore muscles. She too went to her new room first, finding it to her liking. She heard the woman call that she had towels, so Serenity simply stretched for a moment, dropped her bag on her bed, slipped off her shoes, and followed her out to the springs. The sight was beyond compare, but Serenity paid little mind to it when first going outside. She saw that Roxy was already in the water and that all her clothing was on the shelf. After a moment of speculation, Serenity shrugged and removed her top, the bottoms following shortly after. The slight breeze cause goosebumps to form on her pale skin as she entered the water a leg at a time. 

Modesty wasn't completely lost on her, but at the current moment, it bothered her significantly less than it normally would. She slipped in the water completely now, not bothering to tie up her hair, and letting it float out around her as she submerged her head. The temperature was perfect. She let out a small sigh, and moved over to the other side of the springs, putting some distance in between her and Roxy- nothing personal, just space for her to let her legs float up and her body relax as her head rested against the rocks behind her.

I agree. This is simply perfection.

[Rivers]

Hearing the call Rivers lets out a soft chuckle and begins to wander towards the hotsprings, it was the first time he'd be using it in his new home after all. He takes off his coat and wraps a towel around his waste, Rivers was a bit more muscular than one would usually expect from just seeing him with hit coat on, though he was not cut, his limbs appeared to have a wirey strength. The numerous scars on his body giving the lie to him always being an observer.

He hummed a tone as he wanted down to the bath and steps though the door and over to the pool. As he sees both the redheads already there, bodies bare as the day they were born he stops and places his knuckle under his chin as if he was contemplating something. Then he quirks an eyebrow.

"have you ever had the feeling you were winning at life?." He says as he steps into the water with a grin on his face. "To meet to lovely firey ladies is basically the best outcome I could have asked for."

He sinks into the water and feels all of the knots begin to melt away, though the water was pretty hot. He reaches over an pulls some glasses and a little tray that floats on water out of nowhere along with a bottle of nice wine. As he pours himself and glass he lets out a sigh of contentment. "This is the life~"

Then he raises the other two glasses in the air gesturing to see if the other two want any.

Lia kind of thought that maybe Roxy would have left the towels inside the house for modesty’s sake. For someone who could wear some pretty revealing clothing while performing, she never really felt comfortable baring it all in front of others. However, she did want to go to the hot springs, and she was currently the only one still inside.

When she walks onto the patio, she smiles and shakes her head as she hears Rivers talking about winning life. With mock sadness, she says, “I see how quickly I am forgotten.” On the shelves, she spots the towels. She undoes her corset, wraps a towel around her, and somehow manages to take off her dress and undergarments without the towel falling down. Truly an impressive feat. With that, she finally joins the others in the hot springs.

“This is pretty wonderful. Definitely better than staying at the Mary.” Fleeing from her former home had definitely given her an upgrade in living accommodations. She sinks deeper into to get her hair wet and pushes it back away from her face as she breaks the surface again. Looking at the bottle of wine, that was probably the one thing that could make things even better right now. “I’ll take a glass if you’re offering.”

[Roxanne]

Having her eyes closed, Roxanne paid no attention as Serenity came into the springs, only smiling briefly as the other redhead agreed with her. At River's arrival though, she turns, making no attempt to hide that she was checking him out as her lavender eyes perused his scars and surprisingly muscular physique. The obvious hit on the women that followed earned him a brief smirk in return which turned into a grin at offered wine. "You're just full of luck it seems. Including my being here despite your rude and hasty 'welcome',"she replied, giving him a wink to soften the insult as she took the offered beverage. A few sips and another involuntary sigh followed. It had been quite a while since she'd had any wine and it went well with the heat of the hot springs.

Roxanne's attention was then diverted a second time by the pink haired woman. She watched, amused, as the other woman wrapped a towel about her and then removed her clothes. The tease of being forgotten made Roxanne think this woman was used to attention but Rivers did only mention the two redheads. Maybe he was into that or perhaps this woman had a mate already he knew about. She opted to reserve judgement on the matter until it was cleared up and went back to sipping her wine.

[Serenity Caine]

Serenity heard as someone else came outside not long after herself. Her eyes opened for a moment, and her eyes spotted that it was Rivers. Realization hit, and she stopped herself from floating, forcing her feet down back into the water. Her eyes stayed on him, not minding the view by any means. With a quick glance to Roxy, she saw that Roxy didn't mind either. Serenity bit the inside of her lip to keep herself from smiling. Serenity closed her eyes once more as he entered the water, not able to help herself from chuckling at his comment, a small blush creeping up her cheeks. Upon the appearance of wine, Serenity's hazel eyes opened once more.

That sounds delightful, thank you. Serenity smiled and took a glass after Roxy, a sigh of her own following the drink as it flowed down her throat. She sank back into the water, no longer caring that the visual of body was open to Rivers. Modesty seemed to be a fleeting thing in this world. At the sound of another voice, she peeked once more, finding Lia undressing far more modestly than Roxy and herself had. Looking back, she probably would have done the same, but desperate for a bath as she was, she hadn't cared. Serenity paid no mind to the pink haired woman's comments, knowing for fact that River's was something of a flirt. 

Serenity's mind wandered for a moment, closing her eyes once more to see the galaxies behind her eye lids. She wondered why Kail had ventured off on his own, not wanting to stay with them. Sure, there had been drama with Rivers, over the shooting of Aria. Something which Serenity needed to speak with Rivers about still. But looking at the circumstances they were in now, Serenity couldn't help but wonder if Kail was a fool. He left a group full of women, and just Rivers. The key point to that now being that Rivers was living alone with four women. Serenity sighed softly once more, wondering only what would come of the new arrangements, but more than okay with it. There was adventure in her life now, rather than the regular back and forth from taverns to bed. At least now she could say she was apart of something. Apart of a group. 

I think this is the start of a great story. Or, rather, the middle of one for all I know. She knew that people may disagree with her, but she also knew that Rivers fancied himself a story teller of sorts.

Kail had walked into the home as the door was unlocked and he wissled loudly. "Swanky place Rivers" he had grabbed a few things before coming to the home. As he had heard that Rivers had found a place with a hot spring pool. He was rather lucky he had some swim trunks from his world that he packed into his pack. "Mind if.....I....crash the party" he said and did a double take as Serenity and Roxy were in the pool without anything on. While Rivers and Lia were wearing towels, his swim trunks were colored in tropical colors and his hair was down instead of being pulled back. None the less he did his best not to gawk at the two women. He kept his eyes on there faces rather then looking down. Kail then gets into the warm water and gave a slight sigh as it felt nice. "I some how got my hands on somekind of magic lab that has all sorts of things. There also seems to have a small living space in there as well. So I can live there and rough it out for awhile before I can do some renovations. Or get someone to do them" he said and at the moment did not care if he was kicked out or not. The warm water was nice as he was rather tired after everything that happened.

[Rivers]

As Lia walks in and comments on how quickly she was forgotten Rivers stands and gives her an elaborate bow. "I did not forget my performing partner, but if I recall correctly you don't like these kinds of jokes or advances. Making unwelcome advances on someone is generally considered bad form." He points out, though thinking back to his drinking buddy Sai he amends. "Though if you meet a stick who is sufficiently in the mud that should not prevent you from trying to be the best wingman...wingwoman...winger you can be."

He chuckles a bit a his own stumbling and sinks back into the water. An egg rested behind his head that had not been there before and he takes a second towel and begins to polish it carefully.

"I probably should have been paying more attention to this." He mumbles before looking up to see Kail enter. As Kail very obviously avoids looking at the naked girls Rivers shakes his head and clicks his tongue, suddenly appearing next to Kail and placing an arm around his shoulder. Lia would find the egg Rivers was polishing resting on the stone behind her.

"Listen pal, there is no shame in appreciating what is presented, in fact to not at least acknowledge the beauty before you when in the presence of three of the most beautiful women in Nova is nigh short of a sin against your manhood." He stages whispers before returning to the pool and his bottle of wine.

"Well, I believe everyone is here now, so a toast. To Haven!" He announces and raises a glass.

Lia sighs as Rivers bows and explains himself. Now things were awkward, and she hardly meant anything serious by it. Well, she did thing a bit of an outsider in this group, but mostly due to the fact that she didn’t know the other two women. However, considering they were living under the same room, that would probably change quickly.“It was a joke, but I suppose a poor one. If I was actually upset, you’d know. Not that I would mind being complimented though… So wait, are you telling me that I am stick in the mud or that I should be your wingwoman?”

Before she can ask what the hell that giant egg that Rivers begin polishing belongs to, Kail walks onto the patio. While he didn’t want to leave here, Lia was starting to guess that he’d be a regular guest. It takes her awhile to notice the egg sitting behind her though. Picking it up, she inspects it more closely, turning it over a few times gently. Fairly exotic looking and most certainly not for consumption. “Rivers, did you get a house dragon? What noble did you convince to part one?”

She places the egg underneath the arm and raises a glass, “To Haven.”

[Roxanne]

Roxanne nodded at Serenity's comment about this being the start of a good story. The question now being if the end would be as good as the beginning, only time would tell of course. Roxanne finished off her wine about the same time Kail decided to join them. She twirls the glass a bit as she looks him over in his strange flashy shorts and watches Rivers teleporting abilities with interest. Upon hearing Rivers’s comment though, she gives both men a wicked smile. The half demon then stands, granting the men a view of her toned body, hair clinging to her dripping skin, and serves herself another glass of wine. She then turns to face the pair, raising her glass for the toast. “To Haven,” she echoes, taking a corresponding sip before setting it back on a rock.


She then proceeded to dunk herself in order to rinse her hair properly, twisting it a bit and draping it over her left shoulder afterwards. She settled back into the springs “That’s a great point, Rivers,” she paused to sip her wine, “I think we ladies are equally graced with you two fine looking men, or what we can see of you anyway,” she added, smiling and her eyes twinkling with mischief.

[Serenity Caine]

At the sound of a Kail's voice, Serenity's face plunged into a deeper red, but her attitude remained the same. At Rivers words Serenity shook her head, chuckling to herself. She watched Roxy stand, presenting herself clear as day while she poured more wine and toasted to Haven as Rivers and Lia did. Serenity had a small amount left, but she raised her glass, sitting so her upper body was out of thee water.

To Haven. She finished off the littler that was left, and stood, not unlike how Roxy had, and pour herself another glass before sinking back into the water. Her red hair, though not as long as the half demons, rested in the water around her, strands clinging to her body while others floated.

She heard Kail say something of a work shop and thought to herself how quickly he seemed to find what he needed. Her thoughts were cut short at Roxy's final comment, causing her to laugh louder than she intended. I apologize. That was not to disagree with the comment, I was just not expecting it. I rather agree with her to be honest... Her eyes moved to Rivers and Kail, looking over what she could see. Rather agree completely.

Kail really wanted to deck Rivers as the man did not learn from there last social interaction. But this time though he felt like he was being made the fool of. Both Serenity and Roxy were not really helping matters either as soon as Roxy came out of the water a bit for a tease. Then Serenity did so as well, not sure if it was intentional or not but there was pressure building in his nose. He knew what it was and gets up quickly and gets a towel before he had a nose bleed and he does, as he starts to bleed. "If anyone starts to laugh I swear to whatever god I will kill you. Also if you three have a threesome go on ahead and I would not give a damn. Yes I would like to get laid but, fucking hell I will not be made a god damn fool for your pleasure and amused. Are you entertained yet by all of this" he said and was not amused. It seemed for Kail that he would be made the target for every single joke and amusement. It seemed that he was throwing a tantrum but he was angry, embarest, and as well as aroused and it was hitting him all at the same time. Some would say just suck it up and deal with it. But it would not end as they think he was ok with something like this.

[Rivers]

Rivers blinked a couple of times at Lia. "Well it's not really a house dragon, I picked it up in the world I was in before, not sure what is in it to be honest. I'm vaguely hoping for a phoenix, I always wanted one of those. Or if I am truly lucky it'll be a loki~" He fawns his eyes growing distant. "And Kail I'm not talking about the norseman. I'm talking about the giant eight armed apes that live in heaven's pa-"

Rivers cuts off as he sees Kail's nose start to bleed and his smile vanishes as his eyes scan over Kail's body. He leans in and asks "Kail, are you okay, you didn't get to close to one of the crystals or something did you?" He asks with a look and tone of genuine concern.

Though once Kail's outburst was done he recalled something like this from his time on earth. Maybe it's a think for people from his time period. Rivers wonder before turning back to the springs. Though when Kail mentioned the threesome Rivers looked at him in surprise. Then he looked back at Serenity and finally back to Kail before placing a hand on his shoulder and looking him in the eyes.

"I think you're misunderstanding the situation here. We're trying to relax and have some fun Kail. We're not really trying to attack you, jibes and jokes are just what friends do. Sorry if it upsets you, but we did all just survive a literal historic event, I think everyone's entitled to some revelry." He says before taking his hand away and turning back to the spring with a dramatic flourish.

But before he can start speaking a sound can be heard as the egg Lia is holding begins to rock back and forth and squeak.

"An animal with a sense of timing I see." Rivers says under his breath as he walks over to check out what was going on.

Both of the other women were hitting on Rivers now. While strange, Lia really shouldn’t have been all that surprised. It’s not like he wasn’t attractive. However, he always struck her a bit on the sleazy side. So long as this didn’t turn into a catfight between the two girls, she was happy.

“So it literally could be anything,” she says, eyes still on the egg. “And I really hope it isn’t an 8 armed ape though. That seems like it would be difficult to keep in a house.” She could imagine a small primate with 10 limbs tearing apart everyone’s things and utterly destroying the nice place that they just got. A phoenix would be nicer even if charred somethings. At the very least, it would look regal as it did it.

Lia raises an eyebrow at Kail’s outburst. She can’t fathom why he is so upset, especially right now. It didn’t seem like anyone was poking fun in it. Maybe she just hadn’t noticed it. Or maybe this guy was bad with girls. He seem awfully flustered by the other two. He needed to calm down before he embarrassed himself and everyone else though. “I don’t think anyone is particularly entertained by this, no. Relax, won’t you?” While phrased as a suggestion, it is more of a command. Magic in her words would act to relieve tension and dissipate anger.

As the egg begins to crack, she hoists herself and the egg out of the hot spring. She grabs a towel and sets the eggs on it on the ground, as she leans over it. “I suppose it just understands the importance of having a dramatic entrance then.” She smiles and says softly to it, "Everyone's watching, so it's time for you're big debut now."

[Roxanne]

Roxanne thought Kail was being rather dramatic about all of this. She watched him with a flat, clearly unamused look and sipped her wine. When Rivers speaks up, she nods her agreement. "We're just trying to relax, have a bit of fun, enjoy the scenery and each other," she paused, thinking that statement over then shrugged. They could take that as they desired. "If I cared more, I'd offer to don a towel but I don't. Modesty does not concern me. It's humans way of dealing with an insecurity that, in my opinion, is ridiculous anyway," she added, calmly as not to insult her present company.

The movement in the egg caught her attention soon after as she was curious despite her best attempts not to be. She watched it and listened as Rivers and Lia discussed what it could be.
