It was morning at best. The sun was just coming up and filling the infirmary with rays of morning light. Just enough light to wake Mysteria from her sleep. Her eyes barely opened to take note of her surroundings and current situation. For all she knew; she was in her room asleep and just feeling really...Really sore. It was the smell of death and sickness that made the color of her flesh turn ghostly white. Realization quickly setting in fast as she pushed herself to lift her head up off the pillow.
She could tell she was in a bed, but not a bed of her own. The more her eyes adjusted to the room, the better her understanding of the situation became of that prior night. Vague memories of what happened last night in the witching hour slowly began to come back; Breton had entered her laboratory and spared her life from the manna corruption, but at a heavy cost. He took something from her, but what he had taken was a loss to her......That is until she went to go lift her arm and nothing happened. Mysteria paused and her gaze slowly fell down to her shoulder. The bandage wrapped completely around her upper torso and stained red with dried blood where an arm should be.
The sight brought a bitter taste in her mouth as she fought back tears at the horrid sight. He had taken the arm that was Manna Corrupted. He had saved her life and yet also left her to die there on the floor of her laboratory. Such a thing to think after being warned... No longer wishing to look at what was no longer there; Mysteria turned her gaze to the door of her private room. Her thoughts coming back around as she laid flat against the mattress. How did she get here in the first place? She remembered crawling across her laboratory floor and into her bedroom after Breton had left. She remembered laying on the floor staring up at the ceiling; She could even recall the sound of the door closing to her lab. The smell of blood... then there was nothing. No memory other than waking up here in this room patched up. Had she passed out and someone found her? She thought quietly to herself while staring at the door. Unaware that her puppets Bella and Stella had left while she slept to go fetch a secondary healer. One that was not provided for by the castle.

Lilith had recently made sure that even when she was not needed in the castle, she stayed generally near it. She had gone out with Aria for this morning, despite how early it was, just because the festival was still in full swing and she couldn’t get much sleep at home anyways.
They had been walking along, not quite sure where they were headed yet, when two people came up to them and asked that they return to the castle. She looked at Aria, then back at the two. She’d never seen them before. They asked that she hurry, so she knew someone needed her magic, so with another glance at Aria she nodded and went with them, not feeling the need to ask questions.
When the made it to the castle, they were lead to the Infirmary, and her suspisions where confirmed. She didn’t know who, but someone was hurt. They were lead to a closed door, and Lilith could sense someone in pain behind it. She paused for a moment, then turned the door handle opening it and revealing Mysteria. Lilith looked at Aria, stunned. She hardly knew this woman at all, but she knew Aria did. Lilith shook away her shock and moved to the womans side. The cause of her pain was clear as the bandage on her shoulder bled.
Madam, its going to be alright. My name is Lilith, and I’m going to try and ease your pain, alright? Lilith smiled softly, unsure how this could have happened, and knelt next to the bed. Aria, can you close the door please, and do the silence spell you do? She gave Aria a look, Lilith had a feeling that those two woman had brought her here, because the other healers weren’t trusted in this situation.
Lilith placed her hands so that they were hovering above the bleeding bandage and felt the magic flow through her and into Mysteria. This would be a slow process, the wound was deep and healing a lost limb would be a first for her. How did this happen? Lilith kept pushing, wanting to stop the bleeding best she could before taking the bandage off to get a better look.

"She was attacked" A low voice spoke from the other side of the room and there was a rustling of cloth. Someone rose and walked to Mysteria's side, leaning over into her line of vision. Severine was there, looking much older than she normally did. The deep lines in her face betrayed her age without the aid of cosmetics, her head bare to show her very closely cropped black hair, flecked with gray. It was unclear how long the woman had been there, but she was dressed much simpler than usual in a high necked gray dress. There was something in her eyes as she looked down at Mysteria- it might have been pity.
"You left a long trail of blood from your laboratory to your room. Believe me when I say that we nearly lost you." Severine sighed, lowering herself to sit. "I do not know what you recall but your arm was not cut. It was torn. We would have sent Captain Walker to find your attacker but it appears he is... Indisposed." She hissed the last word, her tongue clicking against her teeth. She looked down at the prone woman once more.
Severine lowered her hand, fingers twitching near Mysteria's throat. There was a pause, then the woman withdrew her hand, rubbing the high cloth that covered her throat completely. When she spoke again she sounded hoarse, looking over to Lilith. She looked the pale young woman up and down and sighed, nodding.
“There are very few beings who are capable of harming you so grievously. Very, very powerful beings. If you recall who it was, or even a description, we will find them. You know that we will.” she fixed Mysteria with a hard gaze, but there was truth in there. If there was one skill that Severine had, it was smelling a rat.

Aria was walking along with Lilith, her hair was coiled up behind her head in a set of complicated braids. A couple of pearl studded pins holding it up. While a few stray curls fell and framed her face. With her hair up you could see her delicate pointed ears, these had small pearl studs in the earlobe and a small gold cuff on the upper part of her left ear. Today her outfit was a compromise, between her normal personal style, to one that was appropriate for the castle and her newest title. She wore a stiff collar over coat, with gold embroidery along the collar and down the front. The gold embroidery also carried across her shoulders, and the bottom hem of her jacket which reached down to her ankles and wrapped around her like a skirt was lined with a shimmery gold ribbon. The color was mostly ivory that faded into a light blue near the bottom hem, and around her shoulders. The coat was form fitting at the top and flared out loosely around her waist, making it seem as though it was a dress when she stood. However the coats fasteners stopped at her hips. When she moved you could tell she wore tight form fitting light blue pants, tucked into knee high soft leather boots that were a very light tan. A silk blue sash was tied around her waist; the knot at the side of her hip, allowing the excess fabric drop to about her knees. Aria had not bothered to illusion her telltale scar that blazed across her face, she had no shame about it. Plus she did not see the point in disguising it unless she was told to. Her eyes were outlined in kohl; and her lips lightly stained a light pink. Her long slightly pointed nails were well cleaned, she wore no rings like other nobles might, and a black dagger tattoo was visibly present on her right forearm.
Aria was glad to be out and about, Lilith was a good companion. Not to stifling, and was happy to go along where Aria wanted to wonder. Their walk was interrupted when Bella and Stella approached; she smiled at them when she first saw them. But that mood was quickly soured as they were summoned to the castle. Aria went with Lililth as she was summoned as a healer to the castle; wondering what on earth had happened to Melania that they needed outside help…
As they walked into the room Aria stopped; the frown on her face had not left, however her eyebrows shot up in surprise to see the purple haired menace missing a limb….that development was new. She did not say a word, however shrugged when Lilith looked over at her. She hadn’t a clue how this had happened either. Her eyes slid over to the back of the room…noting that they were not alone. She held up one finger to Lilith to signal she would just be a moment. She left the room, and shortly came back with a pitcher of water, a few cups, a mortar and pestle, and a few herbs, roots, and such which stuck out of her sash. Seeing how her arms were now full, she closed the door behind her with her foot. She placed her gatherings on a nearby table and began to set up. As she set up she waved a hand, a orange gold wave of magic weaved around the room. Plugging its way into cracks and such before disappearing completely. Once that was done she continued to work with both hands on the items she had carried in while Lilith went over to Melania.
”Lilith, I don’t know if you’ve been trained on other species yet, but she’s kray. Careful how you heal the muscles, they have more than a bit more elasticity to them than normal folk.”
Aria never turned back to look as she took pieces willow bark, valerian root, and lemon balm with a bit of mint and chamomile, and behand to crush them into a fine paste with the mortar and pestle. Once it was completely ground, she took a pinch and placed it in two of the cups she had brought while, placing the rest of the mixture into a vial. She poured water into the cups, and waved a glowing hand over them. The water steamed as she passed it over, and with a swirling motion with her finger over each cup the water turned; mixing her concoction into a fine tea. All the while she had listened quietly to Severine, and Lilith talk; falling into an old and much practiced rhythm. Her eyes glancing over to Bella and Stella. Once Severine finished her piece, Aria turned.
”Beg my pardon; but perhaps that is not the wisest of topics to focus on at the moment.”
She did not think that Bella and Stella would fetch an outside healer without a reason. That and making the woman re live the shock after she seemed to have just come to, probably wasn’t the best things. The woman was still in the realm of going into shock. She picked up the cups filled with the steaming liquid and walked over to the bedside. Handing one to Melania, she still had one good arm; that and Aria didn’t see the point in treating someone with a disfigure any different then you normally would. She held the other out to Severine; the older woman looked like she could use the herbal remedy as well.
”This will do you both some good. It will help with joint pain, along with being calming in the process.”
It would ease the anxiety that a disfiguring wound tended to bring a long with it. If Severine refused Aria would just place it by the bedside table. Really Severine may have insulted Aria more than once, but punishment had been already doled out, she saw no point in being rude about it. The older woman looked like she could use a calming tea or two. Aria then pulled up a chair for Lilith and then one for herself; she pulled hers around to the free side of the bed. Her legs calmly crossing as her hands rested folded in her lap. Aria glanced up at Severine, a small pleasant smile on her face.
”You look nice Arch Duchess, I like the simplicity. How do you fare?”
Aria looked back to Melania; she had been wanting to meet up with this busy woman for weeks now. Her attention turned back to Bella and Stella, noting what Severine had mentioned.
”Did either one of you clean up the blood trail?”
A bit of blood…a mage could do a LOT with a bit of blood….she hoped someone had cleaned it up.

“The dolls cleaned it up.” Replies a voice from a corner of the room. Chasm sat in a stool in the corner a set of dark circles under his eyes that indicated he probably had not slept the night before. When Mysteria had crawled into the room with the tunnel stone in it he had hear a strange sound and investigated to find the woman bleeding out on the floor. Chasm's coat from the previous night had been folded up and he had given it to the dolls to do with as they pleased, but there were still hints of the woman's blood on his shirt , and pants.
Rivers had ended up carrying her here after treating some of her wounds and he'd ended up standing guard throughout the night to make sure that whatever had attacked her did not show up again, or at least to get her out of there if it did.
He turns to look at Lilith and says “I applied some basic first aid and used a couple of the herbs from the medicine bag to stop the bleeding. I don't know enough herblore to make a painkiller so she doesn't have anything like that in her system.” He says, letting the healer know about the patient's condition.
“Before we barrage her with questions though lets see if this lovely healer can help out our seriously injured friend.” He points out before leaning back to rest the back of his head against the wall and resting his eyes.

The room had already began spinning by the time Bella and Stella had returned to the palace with Aria and Lilith. Her pupils dilated to tiny slits as the outer edge of her vision became blurry and distorted. Not fully aware of the other two bodies within the room. Mysteria gripped at the bed mattress with her fingers, her knuckles slowly changing to white as she gritted her teeth with a sudden pinch of pain in her shoulder became more relevant as the nights adrenaline had worn down. The sound of the door opening snapping her back into a alert state as she released the bed and looked in the direction of the door where Lilith and Aria had entered. Her eyes blood shot and pain ridden with held back tears. The teal - purple hue color in her eyes more vibrant than normal as she tried to remain focus and awake. Bella and Stella slipping in past Aria as she shut the door, their tiny bodies speckled and hands covered in the Kray woman's blood. Finally finished cleaning up the mess and blood trail their master had made. Concern being the first obvious emotion displayed on their features, however they shot Severine a threatening glare as she approached their master.
"The mistress had done some miscalculations and her arrogance backfired." Bella finally spoke up, answering Severine and Lilth question on what had happened. A vague attempt to answer what had happened. Though in Mysteria's current condition she wouldn't be able to answer. That or she wouldn't have given them one at all. Stella approached her masters side and remained silent as Lilith began healing Mysteria's open wound. Meanwhile Mysteria took a sip of Arias herbal brew and tried to keep the drink down. Only managing to keep about two sips down before setting the cup down on the table side. Very, very carefully. For every move that she made was excruciating and she already felt exhausted. Her skin flushed of color as she carefully laid back and let Lilith work on her arm.
such a fool I am to believe I could be something more to him...He is Destiny an I but a pawn..Mortal by birth and stolen immortality from the divine. So should i believe that this pain.... This pain is becuase I doubted his plan? this is the price for not having faith?.
Mysteria's thoughts kept racing during the time of the operation of the Healer to close up the wound. Not aware that tears were streaming down her pale cheeks as she stared strait at Severine. Her vision still some what blurry and the color of her eyes less vibrant.

When Aria spoke to her about species, Lilith nodded. She had done research, since Aria had spoken to her after healing a Fallen Angel. A lot of research. She was no expert, but she could handle this. She was focusing as much energy as she could into the womans arm. She knew that she couldn’t give her another arm, but she could heal her shoulder. Any other injuries would have to wait for the moment, unless she sensed that they were more severe than the arm. When a woman spoke from the corner, Lilith jumped, not knowing another person was present. Her eyes darted to the find her, only to find an older looking woman. She vaguely remembered seeing her around the castle before then, but she never knew who the woman was. Just that she was important. She looked far more tired that unusual, that much Lilith knew. She kept speaking, going on about a blood trail, the woman’s arm being torn, not cut… that they would find the person, if only she could describe him or her. Lilith looked back at the wounded, sorrow in her eyes. Being attacked… she couldn’t even imagine what had happened. Who could be so strong to tear off her arm.
Lilith shuddered lightly, feeling as her magic worked its way through the shoulder, bit by bit the cells reformed, and the muscles reattached. She vaguely noticed Aria giving the woman a bottle, barely hearing what it did. Her mind was solely on this now. If she shifted her focus, she could lose the power behind it, and that usually meant she passed out. She could not pass out. By the looks of things, this was almost more important than the Fallen one, Trésor.
Lilith heard a third voice, male. It seemed vaguely familiar, but she couldn’t place why, nor did she bother to try. However, she had to glance up once just for a split moment as his words were directed at her. If they made eye contact, he would see her eyes were red, behind the iris’s. Bloodshot. She hadn’t done anything like this before. She was shaking ever so lightly. Thank you. I will do what I can to ease her pain as well as heal her. Her tone was mechanical at best. She was so focused on threading the shoulder back together that her mind and mouth had trouble correlating. She knew now not to ask questions, they would get answers out of her later. Lilith’s only job was to heal.
She felt the woman— no one had spoken her name, - as she sipped whatever liquid Aria had given her. The bleeding had long stopped, that was one of the first things Lilith made sure of. The muscles were almost in place, but the bone was harder. It was shattered, like the old woman had said. Someone had literally torn this arm away from her. Lilith’s purple eyes glanced up to the face of her patient, seeing the tears. Subconsciously, she lifted one hand from her shoulder, and wiped them away for her. There’s no need to cry, you’re going to be alright now. Everything’s going to be alright. Lilith’s voice was soft, and scarily calm. She knew absolutely nothing about the situation, but something about the way she spoke sounded convincing. In reality, it was just because of how this was draining her, she wasn’t thinking straight. Lilith looked back down to the shoulder, placing both hands on it and slowly removing the bloody bandage, now that the bleeding has stopped.
The muscles are no longer torn, but will be sore for weeks to come. The bone… I cannot heal the bone entirely at this time. I don’t have it in me. It is no longer shattered to the extent it was… in fact, if I work on it for a couple more minutes, it will only be fractured. Her body will have to manage the rest. Lilith had looked out to the group when she spoke, her face far more pale than usual, her eyes striking in contract. She turned to the shoulder once more, placing both hands down and closing her eyes, kneeling to the ground. She could feel the vibrations, and she hoped she was easing the pain, as the bone clicked and cracked back into place, rogue pieces flowing back to their original form. After about three minutes, she pulled away, exhausted. Just a fracture now. She fell back onto her bottom, away from the bed. She wasn’t going to pass out as of yet, but she certainly couldn’t handle any more magic. She’d be lucky to stand.
