Sai wiggled her toes and smiled been forever and a day since she stepped foot in Nova, after the long trip by boat to go do a job for her ‘father’. To be honest it was fun to pretend to be a pirate for a few months while they travels the seas, then pretending to be a man's daughter who had hired her for the job was interesting it was weird to be spoiled like a noble. Once she had gotten the job done she was was given some of the clothes which she had sent to her father’s since she can’t be carrying so much stuff while she was traveling. She did keep one of the dresses to wear once she landed in Nova again. The only time she had to rest and to return to herself was in the night when she was sleeping so that her body doesn’t shut down on her and make her rest for months to recover for being in another form for so long. It had felt nice to return to herself, now that she was in Nova she did a quick change into the dress. It was long to made to fit her height when she was her normal self, the blue and the black colours of the dress almost made her seem royal or noble. From some of the looks, she was getting she wouldn’t be surprised if people thought she was one visiting for another land. It had taken a few hours and by now it was midday, but she finally had gotten some information on where to locate her friend if that what she would call her. It seemed like she was shacking up with someone name @runicblade. Oh, she was going to have some fun with this plus she would get some information on what happened while she was gone. The rumors didn’t deal well with her and she liked facts more than rumors and getting to see Serenity Caine was killing two birds with one stone. Finally reaching close enough to the shop she took a moment under a tree to fully transform herself into Serenity. Thinking back to when she last saw her she remember that she was slightly shorter than her and much slimmer. Feeling her bones cracking, breaking and reforming as she got to the height that was what she remembered. Next she forces on her skin tone only having to change it a little, finally she forces on the hair it was the easiest part of the whole thing. She had gotten a little better at shapeshifting but still the eyes were something she could never change the colour sadly they would have to remind the colour of sunset. Ready she stood up giving herself a moment to adjust to the new height before, carefully arranging her hair to cover her ears since she was too lazy to change those this time. Feeling more comfortable in her new body she walked the remind distance towards Arcane Cross. The smell of burning coal and wood hit her first. It was almost nice if she wasn’t here to surprise an old friend. Walking into the place she looked around noticing a man with blonde hair. He looked kinda handsome if she would say so herself, but he wasn’t the type she was into. She waited to see if he would look up and notice her before speaking deciding to start her fun early. “Well hello there handsome.” As soon as she said the words she wanted to throw up, she hated flirting even if it was for fun. “I was wondering if you wanted to go out to the tavern this evening.” Waiting for a response she walked over to the couch, being careful to fan out her dress and sit lady like as she was taught to while she was away doing her job.

Kail was currently at his living space reading some tomes that he had found. One of them was something on metalergy and was reading an chapter in it. But it seemed that tome was written in another language as it seemed that it was translated on the side. But it seemed that some of the wording was off and it seemed that some of the translations were getting mired. Perhaps he would go visit Mysteria and see what language it was. There were a few other books written in the same language and he did not want to go to Rivers on it. He starts to get up and sees Serenity walk in and something was really off for him. Then hears her speak and that was second tip off as it was not Serenity, plus she had a lot more class to her. "I do need to get out a bit for the evening let me get something for you. I've been meaning to give you this bracelet that I made" the blond said and walks over to a case and opens it. He sets the lightning gem into the Mana Railgun. He also loads a normal spike into it.
Sai would hear a electrical sound and a weapon was now aimed at her head. "Don't think about moving from there. This weapon can fire faster then you can move. So tell me who the hell you are, and you better tell me in the next five seconds. As you did a shitty job mimicking my friend, I've seen enough things in this world. Do not take me for a fool" he said as the weapon looked like a crossbow but heavily modified that it did not work like one. Kail was not going to be taken advantage of by anyone and now was taking the innovative and not get ambushed this time. This threat was going to be the one to be ambushed.

Serenity had yet again been left alone at Haven and for lack of anything possible for her to do, she decided to visit Kail. He was by far her last choice, but she always felt like a pest when she went to visit him, ever since they talked about a certain.. situation. She knew it was probably just in her head, but she couldn’t help but be paranoid. Serenity wore a white puffy blouse under a tight green undercuts corset that laced from the front — Far easier to deal with when one no longer had a handmaid around— and a green skirt with slighter darker green trim. Her red fire pendant dangled around her collarbone, and her icy blue bracelet intermingled with the bone bracelet from Kail on her left wrist. Her hair was up in a long curling ponytail, bouncing behind her as she made her way to the door. She was here often enough so she walked in, not caring to knock this time and instead called out as she closed the door behind her.
Kail darling, are you here? As usual her accent was thick and unmistakable, but due to being sick recently, it was quieter as well. Serenity looked around the workshop, and not seeing him, went to the living area instead. What she found there was stunning. She saw herself, sitting down fanning herself while Kail had his back to her, speaking about another bracelet he’d made for her. What in the hell is going on? Serenity stood in the doorway, confused and shocked. Did Kail believe that this woman was her? Her questions were soon answered as the blonde turned on the mirrored version of Serenity, pointing a gun at her head and demanding answers. Serenity has seen Kail shoot a dragon and yell at Rivers, but she’d never seen him react the way he had just then. The vanity in her couldn’t help but catch that he mentioned the poser did a bad job at imitating her, for he knew her to well, and Serenity arched an eyebrow. What had that woman said? And why was she pretending to be her?
Wait… someone who looked just like herself…?
Sai? Serenity entered the room now, walking between Sai and the gun pointed at her. Kail it’s alright, you can put the gun away. She’s a shapeshifter. She turned to Sai. Why are you trying to be me? What could that possibly gain? And can you even do my accent? Serenity looked at her incredulously, then turned back to Kail. I apologize. Her name is Sai… She was my match during the festival… She walked over and stood next to him, now looking again at the woman identical to herself.

Sai was having lots of fun, she continued to fan herself as she watched the man talk about bracelet for her well for Serenity anyway. It was nice seeing him turn and point a weapon at her she didn’t even blink, it wasn’t every day that someone pointed a weapon at her. She laughed out loud as she thought that since it was almost every day that someone pointed a weapon at her when she was working it felt nice and normal.
She was going to answer his question when the real Serenity came in, now she was laughing more at the situation. This was better than she had thought would have happened, she listen to Serenity complained about why she was trying to be her and explain the situation to Kail. It was the highlight of her day so far.
Finally catching her breath and composing herself, she stood up and smiled at Serenity she really did miss the woman. “Awe Ser you had to go and ruin my fun. Well, I guess the cat is out of the bag.” Running her hand through her hair, she watched as she hair turn back to its natural silver white colour, as she felt her features return to normal. “I wanted to come see you Ser. I was lazy today darling.”
She flipped her hair as she stood up closing her eyes as she let herself go back to her full height. The cracking of the bones were music to her ears, rolling her shoulders she to get all the kinks out of her shoulders. “Ahh it feels good to back to normal.” Crossing the short distance she embraced Serenity was not caring truly if she wanted the hug. Letting her good she turned to Kail flashing a smile. “Didn’t mean to frighten you, darling, just wanted to have some fun. No hard feelings I hope.”
Not waiting for him to answer she walked back to her seat being careful of her dress. Crossing her legs the months of her pretending to be a noble lady still in her system but it wasn’t as bad as she had expected. “What happen while I was gone? I heard some rumors, but I wanted to hear it from you.”
Waiting for a reply she tucked her hair behind her right ear. Looking at Serenity she noticed that she seems to have changed in the months that she been gone. If she didn’t know better she would have said that the person before her wasn’t Serenity but another shape-shifter. After settling in she reached behind her undoing the back of the dress to loosen it a bit since it was getting a little uncomfortable. “So has everything people been saying true about the Fated? Where I was the news of Nova came in bits and pieces.”
Shifting her eyes to Kail, looking at him before turning back to look at Serenity. “I hope that it isn’t true what been hearing since I got back. ”

Kail kept his aim and did not move as he heard someone walk in and then Serenity walking in. She then stepped between him and the doppleganger explaining what was going on. The blond was hesatent on dropping his weapon but lowered his weapon and the crackling of the lightning gem died down. It was the fact the other thing was a changeling and was thinking of the negative things such as a assassin or spy. But did he want to complicate things right now? Due to knowlage of a fantasy world or that he knew some tropes back from his world? Or was he letting his mind run wild with this fear and paranoia on this Sai person. As some changelings were fae creatures of mischief and pranks. Kail walks over to his case and puts his Mana Railgun away and closes it. "I see" said Kail as he saw and heard Sai shifting back to her original form.
"In some extent I was Sai, I mean a changeling waltzing into one of the last safe place for Fated. So I think you can understand the level of paranoia I am feeling. I've had enough shit with the nobility and the crown. Do the math on that, but enough of me being jackass. Let me get the two of you something to drink" said Kail as he walked over to what looked like a kitchen area and took some what looked like ceramic or clay fired cups. He opend something that looked like a ice box or something akin to it and Kail got a pitcher of water out from it. The blond took over everything on the table where he then poured clean and cold water into each of the cups. It seemed that Kail still had some kind of manners for guests that were in his shop/home.
Kail then sat down in his chair and then moved his tome off of the table and beside his chair. "Please sit down if you like" he said and would let Serenity explain what was going on with them as Fated. As his view on things were a tad on the extreme. Since the events of what happened as well as things from his world and time. Gave him a different view on the matter then most of the other fated or most of the other people within the world of Nova.

As Kail lowered the gun Serenity’s nerves relaxed. The last thing she needed was having Kail die on her. She believed in him no problem, and knew he would definitely put up a fight… But knowing Sai… well she was trained well for her job. Serenity held back on rolling her eyes when Sai’s only explanation was being lazy and wanting to see her. The woman was crazy by any terms. She felt bad for Kail for being put through something so odd.
While you were gone? Well… as you can tell we’re in hiding, hence Kails paranoia, which is perfectly valid, by the way. She looked to the blonde as he got their drinks, feeling bad that he was so tense all the time. There was to be an execution on a Fated woman, falsely accused of an attempt murder on the king. A group of her friends, including Kail, decided to free her. I got roped into that, and in the process we nearly blew up the entire Gallows… We made more enemies than friends that day, and now have Severine looking for us… It’s like we’re being hunted. It’s not safe for anyone who could be mistaken for a Fated to step foot in the city right now… Serenity shook her head. Hiding like they were they were sitting ducks, with no control over what found them. There were a few people out and about, trying to fix things, but Serenity couldn’t shape shift, or act like someone else. She was nearly useless.
So I suppose whatever you heard could be true. The Fated are being Hunted, and people associated with the Fated are nearly criminals themselves. Now we’re just waiting for things to change. Serenity sat when Kail told her to, and took the drink he offered. This was not her favourite topic by any means. Serenity wasn’t certain she knew what Sai meant when she said “I hope that it isn’t true what I’ve been hearing since I got back” but she shrugged and kept going.
There was a large group of people involved in the Gallows incident, most of which are here now, or at the place I am staying, Haven. Others went on their own quest, or went home claiming to never have been involved for their own safety. There was a healer there thankfully, so all the innocents that were harmed were taken care of… Honestly… I can’t speak for the rest of them, but I think our part was a mistake. We saved one life and took many others, as well as making ourselves look ten times as guilty than we did before… Things got way out of hand… for example, Kail here shot someone on our side… Serenity was simply teasing him at this point and nudged his shoulder to prove it. She didn’t know if he was still sensitive to that subject, but knowing Aria, she had a feeling he would be again when the two of them met in the future.

“Sorry Kail again didn’t mean to scare you, but I’m not a fully shifter just half.” Laughing once again it was hard to believe that she had people to relax and talk with. Over the years she never really had anyone to visit with and joke around it. If anything it felt nice even if it happen to be under less than likely situations.
Nodding her head to Kail as she took the water holding it in her hands. The chill of the glass calmed her listened to the story. Hearing the questioning tone in Serenity voice she forgot that she never told anyone that she was leaving for some time. Then again she never really had anyone to tell things like this to before it felt weird for her to feel guilty for not letting her know. “I had a job across the sea.”
Turning her eyes down to her lap, she continued to listen to the story. The new of the King attempted murder had reached her ears while she was gone, but it was mostly people saying it was someone from within the castle. Doing her best to keep calm even hearing about it all she still couldn’t believe that some of the rumors were true. It was just something hard to take in.
Blowing out a deep breath she felt her eyes getting wet, touching her face she realized that she was crying. This wasn’t normal for her, she wasn’t to show emotions but the idea of the one person she has close to a friend being hunted down and killed or even sold as a slave. It was heartbreaking for her to think that she might have never gotten to see her again.
“I don’t know what to say.” Lifting her eyes not able to hide the emotions that were swirling inside her for the first time in her life. She didn’t even register that the glass fell from her hands, as she balled them into a fist. It wasn’t fair for her friend to be hunted down like she was a common criminal.
Speaking once again the angry in her voice for the king, for the kingdom and for the people that would harm an innocent. Sure she killed some people who could be called innocent but that was different that was her job. “How dare they, How dare them.” Her body shaking at this point. “I’m gonna kill them.” She was about to stand up, letting her emotions take control of her until the words of her father came back to her about letting her emotions take control of her.
Closing her eyes, she focuses on something to calm her, knowing that rushing in to kill the king might not be the wisest option at the time. Opening her eyes feeling a little calmer than before knowing that she would just have to bait her time before she could do something more to end in the situation. “Sorry… I’m normally much more calm. I just can’t believe that might have almost lost the closest person I have to call a friend.” Looking between and Kail and Serenity with her mind made up now. “If there is anything I can do please tell me. I don’t you to be hiding forever. Plus I can go places you guys might not. So please allow me to help in whatever way that I can.”

Kail gave a slight glare to Serenity after she finished speaking about the situation with them. "I don't regret what I did, but not proud of it. In my mind though I found what we did was to make a point that we are not going to merely roll over for this King. We also saved fated people that were caught up in that round up that were brought into the Gallows" the blond said and then watched Sai's reaction and this slightly raised an eyebrow with him. In the sense that Sai wanted a bit more then just being friends with Serenity. But he might have read a bit too much into things that were going on. He desided to voice his opinions more on what was going on. "In all honesty I want to beat the living shit out of the King. Because he allowed this to happen, and could have prevented what had happened. And second of all....he hurt a close friend to the point that her personality had shifted greatly. If I had to kill someone, I would kill Severine as she started all of this. I would rather personally do it myself and see how it feels to be on the receiving end of total and utter terror and fear" he said and his eyes went over to the case he had. In the case were most of his arsenal.
"I don't know if you could help us here, I am just consolidating power and trying to build up an arsenal as well as other powers. Most of us are not that powerful to stand up against the majority of the Nova guard. If I ever get to that level I am going to walk around without a care in the world. And take what I want to a degree" the blond said and poured himself another cup of water. He had wanted to live a better life then just hiding out down here. Kail wanted some kind of swanky place with a lot of things that would make his life in Nova really really comfortable. He had at least some kind of aspiring ideas for himself at least.

Serenity sat there, her eyes on Sai as the woman started to cry. She had met many people in this world, some stronger than anything, but the one person she had never thought she’d see cry, was Sai. When Kail spoke, Serenity had to pull her eyes away from the woman. I didn’t say I regret it, I just think we did more harm than good. We could have made our point in a safer way that didn’t harm the innocents we want to live in peace with. And besides! You only hurt the people you aimed for. You didn’t let a bomb explode on hundreds of innocent people! Serenitys eyes watered up, but she caught herself, cleared her throat and looked down. With a deep breath she looked up again shrugging as Kail continued about the King and Severine.
The king is a puppet to his advisor, its like every fucking fairytale I’ve ever heard and I have no doubt you’ve heard them too Kail. Its stereotypical and tragic. A king with a mind unfit for the throne when he gains it, lead by a twisted minded hag. Until the king grows up and grows a pair of balls, the Fated are screwed. Serenity stood up and walked across the room, raking her fingers through some of her hair. She was heated and getting frustrated the more she spoke about it, so much so that she let her language slip.

Nodding her head to what the both of them were saying, as she finally let her emotions become cage once again. She understood where Kail was coming from saying that he didn’t know if she could help them, after all she was a stranger to him. She also understood what Serenity meant about the king being a puppet on a string with Severine pulling the strings. Watching the two of them walk around the room, a smirk coming to her lips happy that there were not going to take this lying down.
“Well, Kail if you need anything. This goes to you as well Serenity if you need anything or wants to get in contact with me.” Thinking for a moment, her father wouldn’t be too pleased to have people contacting him about her. Sighing as she ran her fingers through her hair having never thought she would give someone the information so freely. “Give a child in the 3rd district a white lily, if they respond is this for sunset. Say yes and they will get in touch with me. Don’t worry about a place or a time I’ll be able to find you, If it is super important and you can’t wait till I find you just give a place, I will be there.” Turning her eyes down to her lap, praying to whatever God or Goddess that was listening to let them not question why a lily. As much as she truth them with the information, she just wasn’t sure how to tell them the true meaning behind it.
Turning her eyes from her lap, she thought of a way make things a little bit more upbeat and happy. Personally for her going to the tavern drinking or maybe even a brothel with a selection of lovely ladies or men for her to choose from, or her all time favorite, the taste of blood on a sword. Her eyes glazed over for a moment remember the last time she tasted blood, her hand moved to her mouth licking her finger, catching herself before she moaned in delight.
“So other than news that might make one of us kill the person responsibility. How has everything else been going. ”

Kail stayed a bit silent as Serenity showed her rage as well on Severine "Yeah agreed, like any other storybook villain. But she will be toppled sooner or later" he did feel bad that Serenity still felt guilty about accidently dropping a bomb in the wrong place. Accidents happened but he did understand that she took the wrong human lives. Then Sai mentioned about getting in contact with her and listened very carefully on it. The entire thing sounded like a typical assassin set up for getting in contact. But then watched Sai give a pleasurable moan about something. And he would not ask what was going on in her head. But she then asked what they were going to be doing. "I'm very much close on a break through in some research I have been doing. I'm about to make a new kind of metal. That's good with magic or its imbued with certain amount of magic in it. Its applications for combat is going to be insane. Plus......the main caretaker of us Fated, Mysteria is taking me on as a apprentice in magic. She's the only noble I can trust out of those laughing joking numbnuts" he said to the two ladies there.

Serenity listened carefully as Sai spoke, nodding her head and glancing at Kail. It seemed he caught on to what Sai said, and she’d have to ask him about it later. Why a white lily? Serenity sat back down with a sigh, shaking her head and rubbing her eyes as Kail spoke.
Mysteria? Is she the purple woman I met when I arrived? Not much of a caretaker, is she? All she did was spook me. Serenity grumbled. She didn’t trust many people. Those she did trust were far a few in-between. She hardly trusted Sai 100%, but it was still more than others. She didn't know any nobles, so she supposed Kail had a bigger advantage than she, but she wanted to be involved somehow. Rivers and Roxy were off sneaking around the castle, Kail was researching weapons, Sai was an assassin... But what was she?

“A new metal that is imbued with magic that is interesting. Also congratulations on becoming an apprentice it is truly rare for one to take on an apprentice if one is not family or has paid to learn the trade. I am guessing this Mysteria sees much potential in your skills.” She commented while storing the little information of Mysteria being the caretaker of the fated. Maybe she could find some answers more about the fated for not it wasn’t her business to do so.
Doing her best not to laugh at the idea of Serenity being spooked when she first came to Nova. Compared to before she seemed to fit in much better to her world. “What about you Serenity? Anything new and interesting happening in your life?”
